Eamonn Holmes announces new career as Ruth Langsford returns to Loose Women

TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, who moved to GB News after being ‘axed’ from ITV’s This Morning, has announced his latest career move following his split from Ruth Langsford.

TV presenter Eamonn Holmes has announced a brand new role after Ruth Langsford returned to her post at Loose Women.

The 64-year-old used to work at ITV before moving to GB News. And now, he had added another job onto his CV as he was announced as a regular host of The Travel Podcast, alongside his colleague and long-time friend Hayley Sparkes.

He said of the announcement: “I love everything about Not Just Travel; its vision, founders and incredibly passionate consultants. I started travel presenting aged 26 on BBC 1’s Holiday Programme, experiencing everything from US ranch holidays to sailing the Danube. Now I’m honoured to work with my longtime friend and This Morning colleague, Hayley Sparkes.

“Hayley is one of the best in the business and together we’re going to have fun talking all things travel while boosting the business of Not Just Travel’s network of consultants.” Eamonn’s new role as co-host on The Travel Podcast for the travel firm Not Just Travel will see him and Hayley interviewing guests about the hottest destinations around the world.

One of Eamonn’s first interviews is with Virgin Voyage’s UK Director of Sales SJ Walker. The Travel Podcast launched in 2020 and quickly became iTunes’ number-one travel podcast. The exciting news comes almost two months after Eamonn and Ruth announced their split.

Ruth stayed silent about the separation while taking a break from work, but Eamonn swiftly returned to GB News and thanked fans for their support. On Monday, Ruth returned to her role on Loose Women, much to the delight of her co-stars.

As the show began, she addressed her return and told viewers at home: “Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it’s great to have your company!” Before they got the show on the road, Coleen Nolan was quick to interrupt Ruth and pause the programme to share a message of support. She said: “Can I just say? I am so so happy that you’re back!”The entire audience clapped as Janet Street-Porter said: “Thank god! Thank god! I was left with her and her!” before Ruth apologised and added: “I’m sorry, Janet. I won’t do it again,” referring to the weeks she took away from the show
