David Beckham took a major team shift in his career after leaving Real Madrid to join Los Angeles Galaxy.

In 2007, this quickly became a major event, with the former footballer getting welcomed by an outrageous party by Hollywood A-listers, Tom Cruise and Will Smith.

The Beckham couple were the stars of the event, with the actors doing everything in their capability to make it grand.

Many other big names joined the private party for the Beckhams which was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Los Angeles.

David Beckham in his new Netflix documentary, BECKHAM recalled the party moment when series director

Fisher Stevens asked whether he had friends in Los Angeles after his big move to join LA Galaxy. He mentioned in the series, “The funny thing was, I was friends with Tom Cruise.”

He recalled a conversation with the action star when he told him about throwing a private party with the King Richard actor, Will Smith for him.

“I remember Tom turning round and saying, ‘Me and Will are gonna throw you a party.’ I was like ‘Will?’ and he said ‘Will Smith.’”

The private party was no less than Hollywood’s main events as many renowned names made their presence including
Tom Cruise‘s then-wife, Katie Holmes, Smith’s better half, Jada Pinkett Smith, Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry, and Jim Carrey.

The 48-year-old sports personality’s close friend, David Gardner also commented on the party sharing,

“It was like being in Madame Tussauds, everywhere you looked there was a famous person.”

“The next minute the piano starts going and Stevie Wonder startings singing him happy birthday. And I was like ‘f**k this, he’s gone, we’ve lost him.’”
While Cruise’s bond with Posh was quite strong given that the duo frequently made headlines together at the time, it suddenly vanished.

A source spilled the beans sharing that the duo reportedly no longer speak to one another. Tom Cruise Reportedly No Longer Wants to Be Friends With David Beckham

A source told The Mirror about the duo’s relationship stating that the Mission: Impossible actor went all out to welcome Posh and Becks in the States.

“Tom did everything for them when they first moved to LA. He practically gave them the keys to the city.

He threw them a party to meet everyone important, and the moment they were established they chucked him!”

They added that the actor is “still angry” with them adding that he “has no intention of being friends again.”

They further added that the Beckham couple tried to reconnect with Cruise “a while ago” but the actor paid them no attention.

The source added, “Tom clearly thinks they should have tried harder.” The tension reportedly happened as the actor tried to convince the Beckhams to join Scientology.
