At the age of 50, what does Beckham still practice that takes 5 hours a day?

Manchester United and England legend David Beckham has given fans an insight into how he stays in tip-top shape, with the Inter Miami co-owner nearing 50.

Becks remains in perfect shape a decade on after drawing the curtain on a legendary football career, that also helped elevate him to icon status off the pitch.

In a newly released TikTok video, the 48-year-old wore a weighted vest in an intense training session that involved completing medicine ball slams.

The benefit of the exercise is it targets the core muscles and helps improve explosive power, cardiovascular capacity and trunk strength.

“I don’t know what exercise this is but if David Beckham’s doing it, I’m doing it,” a fan responded on social media.

Another jokingly added: “Yo David, you seriously have to move to a safer neighbourhood… training in a bulletproof vest.”

Beckham’s latest workout video follows wife Victoria Beckham posting a provocative video of her husband exercising.

Victoria covertly videoed Dave while he was doing some exercises on the floor of the gym while he was wearing a pair of blue shorts

A dark coloured t-shirt, white socks, and a pair of Adidas trainers.

It’s been a big year for Becks and his Inter Miami empire. The MLS expansion franchise managed to lure World Cup winner Lionel Messi to Miami

As well as the Argentine’s former Barcelona teammates, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Messi and Co. made an instant impact, helping Inter Miami win the Leagues Cup

As well as reach the US Open Cup Final, which they lost to Houston Dynamo. A late push for the Eastern Conference playoffs was made but the team ran out of runway.

The acquisition of Messi has helped boost soccer’s profile in the US, with big deals with Apple and Adidas paying dividends.

Messi also claimed an eighth Ballon d’Or in late October, meaning MLS will see the reigning golden ball holder play in their division – the first-ever to do so.

Golden Balls admitted Messi’s former Club Barca worried him the most in his bid to sign the football icon.

Speaking to The Times, Beckham said: “We always knew there would be competition. The time I got a bit worried was when Barcelona showed interest.

“The club obviously pulls on his heartstrings and he never really got to say the goodbye he deserved there.

That was the only time I started to worry he might go somewhere else. But we did everything possible — me, Jorge and Jose [Mas].”

“Getting that phone call that he’s decided to come to us… It still gives me goose bumps,” Becks added.

“I promised the fans and people of Miami that I wanted to bring some of the best players in the world.

I am sure every owner says that but, from day one, he was the dream player I wanted to bring to Miami.

I see him in our kit, I watch him train and play, and I can’t believe that we have Lionel Messi in our club.”
