What’s happened to her? Selena Gomez Pleads With Fans to Be “Kinder” Amid Her Struggles With Recent Internet Drama.

Despite announcing her break from social media just a few weeks ago, Selena Gomez chose to end the hiatus early in order to send an important message to her fans.

Having always been very outspoken on the impact that social media has on her health, Gomez couldn’t stand idly by while the internet drama involving her and Hailey Bieber started spiraling out of control.

Selena found herself in the middle of an alleged feud between her and her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey a few weeks ago. Fans speculated that Hailey and her friend Kylie Jenner poked fun at Gomez after she posted a video of her overlaminated eyebrows.

Jenner quickly shut down the rumors by writing: “This is reaching. No shade toward Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrow posts! You guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly.”

Selena confirmed Kylie’s words by commenting: “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!” However, Gomez’s fans are fiercely protective of her and proceeded to dig out many alleged signs from over the years that Hailey Bieber is somehow set to get under Selena’s skin.

The entire situation escalated to the point that Gomez decided to remove herself from the situation entirely and announced the following: “I’m going to be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly. I’m 30 and am too old for this. But I love you so much, and I’ll see you guys sooner [rather] than later.”

Despite her best intentions, speculation didn’t stop. So now, Gomez decided to make her return to TikTok by spreading a message of positivity and firstly acknowledged the fans that wished her well: “Thank you and love you all so much. I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.”

Selena then proceeded to remind everyone that we should respect each other’s mental health and that this drama isn’t doing anyone any favors: “Please, please be kinder and consider others’ mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”

The Only Murders in the Building star has always been outspoken about social media and its influence on her quality of life. She once said: “I think our world is going through a lot, obviously. But for my generation specifically, social media has been terrible.”

Selena has also taken a social media break before and described it as “the best decision” she’s ever made. We hope Gomez continues to prioritize her mental health, thus setting a good example for all her fans.
