Taylor Swift’s family are reportedly ‘relieved’ that she is ‘madly in love’ with Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, and largely because of his physical attributes.

It has been a turbulent week in the Swift camp, with her father getting into hot water Down Under. During the final day of the Eras Tour Australian leg, Swift senior allegedly assaulted a photographer. Local police confirmed that an alleged assault had taken place in New South Wales, but they did not confirm who was involved.

Meanwhile, Swift’s camp issued a statement claiming there was a rush of people in Taylor’s direction that led to some people trying to grab the pop icon. Swift’s camp indicated that what came next was in reaction to the safety concerns the commotion created. On the back of that, a source has told the Daily Mail that Swift’s family are pleased that the superstar is in love with Chiefs hero Kelce, and not just because of his personality.

They are said to feel that the tight end’s 6ft5″ frame and 250-pound structure offers a significant layer of protection. “Taylor’s family and everyone who knows her is so relieved by her relationship with Travis – not only because she is madly in love but also because he makes her security personnel job much easier,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“She has a built-in bodyguard at all times,” the source added. “Travis has vowed to keep her safe and there is no doubt about this. No one will try to come close to her when she is holding hands with her powerhouse boyfriend.”

Kelce’s physicality
Kelce is known for his physicality on the field, garnering a reputation as a bulldozing tight end, but one who has remained athletic despite his size. The legendary player is already a nailed-on Hall of Famer as he continues his career and remains a part of the Chiefs dynasty. Having just won another superbowl, Kelce flew out to Australia to watch Swift in action before jetting back to the US the morning after her last show Down Under. Swift continues her tour in Singapore next week.
