"The person I hate the most is Dwayne Johnson": The Rock Calls Critics Idiots Who Accuse Him of Abusing His Power in WWE for a WrestleMania Match

Dwayne Johnson issued a challenge with set stipulations during the opening of Friday’s WWE SmackDown. Johnson has challenged Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to a tag-team match against him and Roman Reigns on WrestleMania Night One. Following this, the People’s Champion took to X to unleash his fury on the 2024 Royal Rumble winner, Rollins, and the “Cody Crybabies.” He bashed the critics who have been long accusing him of using his power to get a WrestleMania match.

According to The Rock’s conditions of the tag team match, if Rhodes and Rollins win, the Bloodline will be barred from ringside during Rhodes v. Reigns on Night Two. However, if they lose, the title match will be a ‘Bloodline Rules’ match.

Dwayne Johnson Shuts Down His Critics And Calls Them Idiots

In a 21-minute rant posted by Dwayne Johnson to his X page, the returning People’s Champion bragged about how he has made Pro Wrestling exciting and cool again. He shared that whether people like or don’t like The Rock, it didn’t matter because his appearance has brought Pro Wrestling to its peak once again. However, he shared that it didn’t feel good to deal with all the “bullsh*t” from his critics.

Johnson called them the “Cody Crybabies” and revealed that they were just running their mouths about The Rock at whatever opportunity they got. He then went on to play a clip of Dace LaGreca from his Busted Open podcast, where he complained about The Rock taking Cody Rhodes‘ main event spot. LaGreca accused Dwayne Johnson of abusing his power as a member of the Board of Directors of TKO to put himself in the main event at WrestleMania 40. LaGreca shared:
“You know who is my favorite wrestler right now? It’s Cody Rhodes. Do you know who I hate and I fucking despise in this moment, it’s Dwayne Johnson, member of the Board of Directors of TKO. I hate that man right now in this moment, not as a person obviously, but as a wrestling fan watching the product, the person I want to boo, the person I hate the most is Dwayne Johnson. Because I am looking at the Board of Director that came in, used his power to take this opportunity away from Cody and put himself in the main event at Wrestlemania 40. That’s how I look at it right now.”
Johnson commented that it was the level of absurdity he had got to deal with. He went on to bash LaGreca and called him “a goof, an idiot, another pro wrestling Cody Crybaby Jack Off Idiot Who Thinks He Knows Everything.” He mocked the podcaster, talking about his pink bathrobe and Cody Rhodes t-shirt, and shared that he didn’t know anything about Pro Wrestling to accuse The Rock.

Dwayne Johnson clarified that he used his position on the TKO Board of Directors for nothing more than increasing the popularity of Pro Wrestling. He explained his involvement in WWE getting a Netflix deal. He shared that it was not him who interfered with Rhodes’ match against Roman Reigns, but it was Rhodes who failed at his chance last year at WrestleMania and disrupted the high-profile match between The Rock and Reigns. Johnson shared in his video:
“It has nothing to do with the Board. It has nothing to do with the fact that The Rock owns everything. It has everything to do with common sense, you idiot. When Roman Reigns, years ago, dropped the words, ‘head of the table’. Those words were specifically and solely set up and created so one day Roman Reigns, the champion of the WWE, would come face to face with his cousin, The Rock, the People’s Champion, and together they will make history. That is The Rock’s story. At one time, that was Cody Rhodes story, but it was last year. And what happened last year at Wrestlemania? It’s, oh, he shit the bed.”
He accused that Cody Rhodes changed his mind after initially stepping aside for The Rock v. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. He even shared how he retaliated back by embarrassing Rhodes on live TV with a slap. The Rock also bashed Seth Rollins who interjected himself into the fight. He gave a stern warning to Rollins, who made several derogatory comments about Johnson.

He concluded the video by sharing that he would make Cody Rhodes pay at the WrestleMania 40 match if he were to accept the challenge. WrestleMania 40 will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 6 and 7, 2024.
