Taylor Swift’s Best Moments With Travis Kelce’s Family

If Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are indeed endgame, she’s seemingly already won over her in-laws.

The Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end began dating during summer 2023. That September, Swift started attending Chiefs games, sitting with the athlete’s mother, Donna Kelce, for the first time on October 1, 2024. That same month, she met Travis’ dad, Ed. (Donna and Ed, who are also the parents of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, are divorced.)

“I met Taylor at Travis’ house. When Travis has a lot of friends coming into town to the game, everyone meets at his house, although he’s not there because he’s sequestered with the team,” Ed recalled to a Cleveland, Ohio, radio station in January 2024. “Taylor walks in with a security guy, and I look at her, and I say [to my girlfriend], ‘Oh, my God, I know this kid, but I don’t know what her name is.’ Jeez, you know, like a real idiot. And [my girlfriend] says, ‘You don’t know her? This is Taylor Swift, you idiot.’”

As Donna and Ed continued to get to know Swift during the 2023-2024 NFL season (even meeting her parents and brother at the Christmas Day game), Jason and wife Kylie Kelce didn’t get to meet Swift until January 2024 after the Eagles were out of playoff contention.

“His family is all about just hanging out, joking and having a great time,” a source told Us Weekly at the time, adding that Swift fit in with the group. “It’s almost like she’s known his family forever, and he loves that about her.”

The source added, “It really means everything to him how seamlessly Taylor blends in with all of them.”

Time With Donna

While Donna initially played coy about what she and Swift talked about at the Chiefs-Jets game in October 2023, she later spilled.

“You know what it was? I was talking about this. You know when the commercial people come out in the orange gloves and they’re on the field? I was mentioning when they go like this (waves hands in a circular motion), the commercial’s over and they can play again,” she said on the Today show at the time.

Meeting Ed

“I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her. We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around,” he later told People.

Meeting Jason and Kylie

While Jason is partly responsible for Travis and the “Style” singer getting together — Jason asked Travis on their podcast about his failed attempt to meet Swift, which led to her contacting him — Swift and Jason didn’t meet until January 2024 at the Chiefs-Bills playoff game.

High Five With Jason

The aforementioned Chiefs-Bills game was full of wild moments, including Jason taking off his shirt and climbing into the stands from the suite to celebrate Travis scoring a touchdown. During another big moment for Travis, a still-shirtless Jason opted to high-five Swift.

Jason Brings Her a Swiftie

At one point during the Bills playoff game in January 2024, Jason picked up a young Swift fan to show the “Fearless” singer a sweet sign. “We’re gonna show this to Taylor,” Jason said as he walked the fan over to the suite window.

Posing With Kylie

While Jason’s spouse told him to be on his “best behavior” when they met Swift, Travis assured his brother that Swift “absolutely loved” him. It’s clear she got along with Kylie too, posing in snaps with Travis’ sister-in-law at the Chiefs-Bills game and the Chiefs-Ravens game in January 2024.

To the Field

Swift took to the field with Donna, Ed and Jason to celebrate the Chiefs beating the Ravens and securing their spot in the 2024 Super Bowl.

“Where’s … Do we have a dad? We have a dad, we have Jason,” Swift said in footage from the game as she walked with Donna to find Travis. She then told a security guard: “I’m gonna do what [Donna] does.”
