Swifties have been sent into a frenzy over speculation that the singer may be ready to take the leap from the concert stage to the Broadway stage.

Taylor, 33, is currently on her Eras Tour but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t already cooking up other projects for the future.

Following a recent Instagram post from the official Taylor Nation account, one particular fan took to TikTok to explain why some strategically placed billboards, tweets and comments may indicate that she’s vying for Broadway.

While some fans thought the theory was a stretch, others were also convinced that the Wildest Dreams singer is heading to the theater.

Fans think Taylor Swift may be ready to take the leap from the concert stage to the Broadway stage after a recent post from the Taylor Nation account

Enthusiastic fan Jessica Lynn Slocum uploaded a clip to TikTok with the words ‘I think Taylor is doing a play on Broadway’ written across the screen.

‘Lover, stop everything you’re doing and listen to this video. I am shaking,’ she kicks off the video, before adding, ‘Taylor is doing a play on Broadway and I have proof.’

The first piece of evidence she presents is an Instagram post from the official Taylor Nation account.

She shares that the post revolves around Spotify’s My Top 5 trend which indicates which five Taylor Shift eras or albums an individual listens to the most.

The post’s caption read: ‘Just breathe, just relax, it’ll be okay. You CAN share your #SpotifyTop5, the rest will still love you. Look at the Eras shine on their billboards in NYC, Nashville, and LA.’

And the Swiftie took particular interest in the exact locations of these billboards.

‘As I’m looking at these pictures, I’m thinking okay, this is really weird. These are weird places to have billboards,’ she states.

She then reveals that as she ‘zooms in, finds out where we are and is looking at what streets’ the billboards are on, she realizes there is a commonality between the all four locations.

She shows off the picture of the LA billboard and shares, ‘This is The Reef in LA. This is located on Broadway.’

‘So I’m like, “Huh, ok. Let’s go check out Nashville,”‘ she continues.

She then displays the Nashville photo and explains that the billboard is above a random Hyundai garage which she shares is on Nashville’s famous Broadway street.

The TikToker then pivots to the picture of the billboard in Times Square, which is where New York City’s famous Broadway is located.

She also shares that the second New York City one is located on 34th and 7th Ave, which is 13 minutes from Broadway. In the comments section, she later clarified she meant 13 blocks.

Jessica also presents evidence outside of the Taylor Nation Instagram post, including comments that Taylor made on tour and other social media uploads.

‘In Seattle, during the “champagne problems” speech, she tells the crowd they are giving a Tony award-winning performance with their eras outfits,’ she explains.

She then reflects on her past Instagram posts and Taylor's choice of words, claiming: 'In all her appreciation posts, she says "play"... instead of performing. As in a play'

Then Jessica references a tweet Taylor issued in February that read ‘EGOT babyyyyyyy,’ which she points out also had three pink heart emojis.

‘So what do I think the play is going to be about? The Last Great American Dynasty,’ she concludes, referencing the artist’s 2020 song inspired by the life of socialite Rebekah Harkness.

She explains that the three heart emojis on the EGOT tweet reference the song, which is track three on her album Folklore.

‘She’s literally putting on a mini play at the eras tour every concert for The Last Great American Dynasty,’ she adds.

Fans expressed their support and excitement around the theory in the comments section of her video.

‘Girl! You nailed this! This is legit!!’ one user exclaimed.

Another asked, ‘Why am I already stressing out about getting tickets?!’

Others revealed additional evidence as to why her theory could be right.

One theorized that there may be significance in the numbers involved with the post.

‘My Top 5. Billboard has 4 pictures in 3 cities, 2 in NY…it’s a countdown!!!’ they wrote.

Another brought up how it may be linked with another conspiracy that happened during her tour.

‘Omg! And remember us being so puzzled about the curtains being open or closed in Midnights Mayhem with Me??’ one user wrote, while another point out, ‘a curtain call.’

A third fixated on the unique placement of her billboards, especially in Nashville.

‘In Nashville she typically puts her billboards in a different spot… I think you might be onto something here,’ they penned.

One Swiftie theorized that she may be collaborating with famous Broadway composer Lin Manuel Miranda.

‘Alright but Lin Manuel Miranda was at an Eras show in NY. I could totally see him being involved!’ they exclaimed.

This is far from the first time that Taylor has left cryptic clues for fans to try to decode.

Most recently, she teased that she may be announcing 1989 (Taylor’s Version) during her stop at LA’s SoFi Stadium.

The concert venue posted a series of pictures riddled with references to the albums.
