Selena Gomez has got a new piece of body art.
The 28-year-old singer displayed her latest ink in a video posted on the Instagram account on Thursday, of renowned celebrity tattoo artist Keith Scott ‘Bang Bang’ McCurdy.
‘We [heart] @selenagomez,’ the caption read, showing the delicate black cross she had added just above her collarbone.

The tattoo appears to be a nod to the star’s devotion to the Christian faith, explaining earlier this year that she is ‘very, very spiritual.’
‘I believe in God, but I’m not religious. I’ve been a Christian for a while now. I don’t talk about it too much — I want to, but it’s gotten a bad rep,’ Selena told Vogue in March.
‘I just want to make it clear that I love being able to have my faith, and believe in what I believe in, and that truly is what gets me through,’ she added.
Gomez kept her hair slicked back in the clip to get the ink done, and wore a face mask as a precaution against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The cross is the latest in Gomez’s extensive list of body ink, counting 15 total tattoos, according to Page Six.
Many of them were done by McCurdy, including one of her latest: the word ‘Rare,’ which is the name of her 2020 album.
Her past tattoos include a lowercase ‘g’ behind her left ear as a tribute to her seven-year-old half-sister, Gracie Teefey.
The Selfish Love performer’s first ink was a music note on her right hand. She got it in 2012 because ‘music is a big influence in my life,’ she told Access Hollywood at the time.
‘I was named after a singer, I’m a singer and a lot of other personal reasons. So, that’s what I got,’ she said.

Tribute to mom: Selena (in 2019) honored her mother with the Roman numerals for the number 76 put on the back of her neck. McCurdy pointed out in 2012 that she had it done as ‘a tribute to a family member who [Gomez] said means a lot to her,’ with her mom being born in 1976

Sunshine: The star also has the word ‘sunshine’ inscribed on her right foot. While she has never disclosed the meaning, fans believe it’s a reference to her grandmother, who she referred to as “sunshine” in a tweet; seen in 2016

In her latest venture, the actress stars alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short and Vanessa Aspillaga in a drama about ‘three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves caught up in one,’ according to IMDb.
Earlier this week, it was announced she will host VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World, an international concert headlined by Jennifer Lopez to help medical workers in the world´s poorest countries quickly receive COVID-19 vaccines.
The goal of the event, which airs May 8 on ABC, CBS and FOX as well as on iHeartMedia radio stations and YouTube, is enlisting corporations and philanthropists to raise $22 billion for global vaccinations.
