Queen Camilla shows true colours as insider reveals her feelings about King skipping event

Queen Camilla is set to go on a royal tour with her husband The King next week as they jet off to Australia and Samoa.

Queen Camilla wants the King to “take it easy” as she remains concerned about his busy schedule.

A friend of the King and Queen Camilla recently told The Daily Beast that Camilla did not want the monarch to go to Australia over concerns about his health.

The revelation comes after it was confirmed the King will not attend the annual COP conference in Baku, Azerbaijan later this year.

This is because he will have recently returned to the UK after his 6,000-mile round trip to Australia and Samoa.

During the trip, the King will pause his cancer treatment temporarily.

This has been given the go-ahead by his doctors, with the treatment then set to resume when he arrives back in the UK.

A friend of Charles and Queen Camilla told The Daily Beast: “Camilla will be pleased he is not going straight off to Azerbaijan.

“She didn’t particularly want him to go to Australia, and she will be encouraging him to take it easy once he gets back—never an easy task.”

The royal tour to Australia begins next week with the King and Queen set to undertake a jam-packed schedule.

The tour will take place from October 18-26 and is said to have been slightly scaled back due to the King’s health, with the couple no longer set to go to New Zealand as originally planned.

Both the King and Queen will carry out a number of engagements and visits including a visit to Parliament House in Canberra, a review of the Royal Australian Navy fleet in Sydney harbour, and a trip to the Sydney Opera House and the National Botanic Gardens.
