Prince Harry will make solo return to UK without Meghan Markle in weeks

The Duke of Sussex’s barrister recently confirmed that his court case against News Group Newspapers is still active.

Prince Harry is reportedly set to return to the UK in January 2025 for his ongoing court case against News Group Newspapers.

The Duke of Sussex’s barrister recently confirmed last week that his court case is still live.

Harry, who stepped down as a senior working royal in 2020, is involved in a legal battle against publishers of The Sun with a trail to take place in January.

His barrister recently claimed that Harry “is one of two claimants whose claims are still live”. Over 30 others have reportedly settled with the publisher.

Speaking of the royal’s upcoming visit, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams said that he believes Harry will travel to the UK alone – without his wife Meghan Markle.

According to GB News, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “I think that will be done separately, there are several reasons why Meghan will not come to the UK at the moment.

“It is perfectly obvious why, just look at the opinion polls. Of course, there is a rift with the Royal Family, there is no reason for her to come.”

Meghan – who has been married to Harry since 2018 – has not stepped foot on UK soil since early September 2022, with their visit at the time for work commitments.

The late Queen passed away on September 8, 2022, with the couple both in attendance at her state funeral on September 19, 2022.

Harry has previously stated that he doesn’t feel safe bringing his wife and children to the UK due to fears over their safety.

Prior to his reported trip in the new year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not set to join the Royal Family at Sandringham for Christmas.

The royal has spent Christmas in the US with Meghan and their children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, in recent years.
