Other stars appearing in the clip, included David Beckham, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Sir Chris Hoy, Dame Kelly Holmes and US athlete Michael Johnson, who has been part of the BBC’s Olympic coverage.

Snoop then finally signed off the star-studded video by holding his hands together and saying: “Thank you Great Britain, on behalf of Big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife.”

Snoop Dogg has been a regular fixture at this year’s Paris Olympics delighting crowds as he toured the various events.

Days before he jetted to France’s capital, in a UK media interview, he spoke about his bond with the late Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking to Capital FM’s Jordan North, Snoop Dogg divulged that the late monarch also cherished his music, saying: “Well, the Queen was a fan too.”

He then affectionately added: “Rest in peace to the Queen, that was my girl. You know what I’m saying? So, just may want to go up and, you know, see what you do.”

The rap star served as a torchbearer and special correspondent for NBC Sports providing coverage of the entire international sporting event.

“I’ve been out here working the Olympics, talking to the athletes, to the families, and meeting the people and kissing the babies,” he told NBC. “And doing the things that I do to politically stay correct, and just being Snoop Dogg. That’s what I know how to do the best.”
