Melissa McCarthy reveals the truth about Meghan Markle’s personality after collaboration

Melissa McCarthy has expressed her formal endorsement of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, in a candid statement. Having previously collaborated with the Duchess on a project, Ms. McCarthy has voiced her perplexity regarding the negative attention and criticism directed towards Her Royal Highness.

In her remarks, the esteemed Hollywood actress conveyed her dismay at the unwarranted attacks on Ms. Markle, describing the situation as disheartening for all women and individuals. She eloquently stated, “It bums me out for every woman and every person, that for no reason people just like to attack. A smart interesting woman that has her own life, for some reason, is incredibly threatening to some people.”

Furthermore, Ms. McCarthy, aged 53, expressed her admiration for Ms. Markle’s accomplishments, asserting, “I always think, how inspiring! I’ve never once been threatened by someone who is amazing. I just think how inspiring. It’s really on the people throwing the hate.” She proceeded to characterize the Duchess as “wonderful” and “awesome.”

It is evident that Melissa McCarthy holds Meghan Markle in high regard and finds the negative attention directed towards her to be unjustified and disheartening, particularly in light of the Duchess’s intelligence, independence, and inspiring nature.

In the year 2021, Melissa participated in a video collaboration with Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, to commemorate the latter’s 40th birthday and launch a mentorship program titled “40×40.” The video playfully satirized Meghan’s role as a member of the Royal Family and featured a cameo appearance by Prince Harry.

At the time, Melissa expressed her admiration for the couple after working with them. In an interview with Access Hollywood, she stated, “They were so sweet and funny, I just found them very inspiring. They’re carving out their own lives. They’re carving out their lives for their kids.”

This development comes amidst criticism directed towards Meghan and Harry for their perceived insensitivity in pursuing new Netflix projects despite the ongoing challenges faced by the Royal Family. Recent reports indicate that the couple is currently engaged in the production of two new shows for the streaming platform. The first project will showcase Meghan’s appreciation for culinary arts, gardening, entertaining, and fostering friendships, while the second will be filmed during the US Open Polo Championship, according to insider sources.

The recent launch of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand and its inaugural product, a jar of American Riviera Orchard strawberry jam distributed to 50 influencers for tasting, has drawn criticism from royal commentator and former friend of Meghan Markle, Lizzie Cundy. This development coincides with reports that the Princess of Wales and His Majesty the King are both undergoing treatment for cancer.

In a formal statement to GBN America, Ms. Cundy expressed her disapproval of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s pursuits during this time of crisis for the Royal Family. She accused the Duchess of attempting to “relaunch herself as a Gwyneth Paltrow type” and claimed that she is “not reading the room.”

“They’ve got these new Netflix shows about making jam and cookery and gardening, and there Harry’s about polo playing, it’s not really relatable,” Ms. Cundy stated. “I think it’s pretty insensitive when Catherine’s going through what she’s going through and the King is going through his cancer issues too, it’s really insensitive, to be honest.”
