Meghan Markle could be about to put pen to paper on her highly anticipated memoir – but a bombshell new poll suggests it may not fly off the shelves.

The royal could bank “tens of millions” as publishing houses fight to secure her signature, as it is thought the Duchess of Sussex can provide “an insight into the royals that no one else can share”.

However, thousands of Brits have said they are not interested in what she has to say.

In a poll for the Mirror, readers were asked “Would you read Meghan Markle’s tell-all memoir?”. In numbers that would alarm 43-year-old Meghan, 7,324 said agreed with a savage four-word statement: “I’m not reading that.”

Of those asked 295 responded that “they’d be fascinated by it”, while 124 remained undecided.

Her memoir would be expected to send yet move shockwaves through the royal household, after Prince Harry’s tell-all book Spare.

His book, which came out in 2023, made a series of sensational claims, including about scuffles with Prince William and his relationship with King Charles.

Nobody yet knows what Meghan’s memoir will hold, but some royal readers may expect her to delve into which member of the family questioned what colour her first child Archie’s skin would be.

The Sussexes made the sensational claim during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, sparking outrage back in the UK.

Whether or not Meghan does decide to write a memoir, it appears plenty of Brits aren’t all that bothered.

“I wouldn’t read anything by her or him”, said one Mirror reader.

Another, Jane Powell said: “There will be more truth in a Barbara Cartland.”

While a third, Russ Biker added: “Not into that kind of fiction.”
