Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a very special visit just hours before the duke’s milestone 40th birthday on Sunday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The event was organised by the Alliance for Children’s Rights in honour of Kelly McKee Zajfen’s – one of Meghan’s close friends – late son, George, who passed away a couple of years ago.

Meghan stunned in an ivory mini dress by Giuliva Heritage (£‌1,050), which she paired with her brown Aquazurra heels that she wore in Colombia (£620) and a brown satchel bag by Carolina Herrera (£1,160).

For jewellery and accessories, she kept it simple by opting for her beloved Rayban aviators in black and gold and Cartier’s gold Tank Française watch (£28,200) and yellow gold Love bracelet (£7,050).

Prince Harry looked smart in a white t-shirt, blue jeans, a navy jacket and a pair of grey slip-on trainers. Many royal fans loved Meghan’s look and went on social media to express their adoration.

One user wrote on Instagram: “Just casual, simple and fabulous.” Another one agreed: “She looks fabulous. Just hope she doesn’t drop anything and have to pick it up.”

A third one said: “Meghan looks so darned cute. The dress is adorable and the accessories work beautifully. Plus she looks super happy. They all look great while supporting a good cause.”

A fourth one commented: “Love this look! So cute and chic!!”

A fifth one chimed: “So gorgeous in its simplicity. Perfection.”

Ms Zajfen and her family thanked the couple for their support in what was dubbed an “incredible day” that was filled with “emotions and lots of love”.

The post added that the event raised funds that will “directly support children in foster care, ensuring they have the legal protections, resources and opportunities they deserve in honour of our beautiful son Georgie.”

It added: “To our Presenting Sponsors, The Archewell Foundation. Harry and Meghan, you have been such a guiding light for our family not just In the way you have shown up in friendship but how you have shown up through the incredible work The Archewell Foundation does every day.

“I’m in awe of your commitment to community and to friendship. On behalf of the Alliance for Children’s Rights, we thank you. On behalf of our family, we love you.

“Extra special day too…HAPPY 40th Birthday H! May this trip around the sun be the best yet.”
