Love Island’s Iain Stirling makes savage jibe at Rishi Sunak after landslide election loss
Even Rishi Sunak and the Conservatives’ landslide election loss was mentioned during tonight’s episode of Love Island after the fallout from Casa Amor
Iain Stirling made a savage dig at Rishi Sunak on Love Island tonight.
Labour won the election against the Tories, with Rishi Sunak and his party suffering a devastating annihilation at the polls. Even Love Island was quick to mention the events of last night as they kicked off the show this evening.
Speaking at the start of the show, he said: “Everyone’s woken up thinking about last night. Big decisions were made. Hearts were broken and someone ended up in tears screaming ‘why?’ But enough about Rishi Sunak.”
The talk then turned to the fallout from Casa Amor, where Ayo picked Jess and thus left Mimii single. There are also big tensions between Wil and Uma after it was revealed he wasn’t loyal during his time in the other villa. Sean and Matilda are also on the rocks after the truth was exposed about what he got up to during his time in Casa Amor.

Tonight, Uma admitted she felt awful about what happened with Wil. She said: “I just feel different, it’s changed things for me, he’s let me down so much,” whilst Matilda said of Sean: “I’m very conflicted right now, he’s been moving mad in Casa.”
Soon after Uma got a text, where she and Matilda were invited to talk with Diamante and Lucy about what happened. She said: “Uma and Matilda, please get ready to leave the villa as Diamanté and Lucy would love a catch up #realtalk #nofilter.”
From Sean and Wil choosing to recouple, it meant that Diamante was one of the people to leave. Asked if she was surprised not to be picked, she said: “I actually was, when Sean was giving his speech he said he was confused, and he was saying he found connections in Casa and as he was saying that I was thinking, ‘are we about to couple up?’ I think he chose the safe option to stick with Matilda. He’s perhaps not as genuine as we all thought he was… With Sean it was very flirty and smiley from the beginning. When I kissed him in the challenge that’s when everything went from 1-100 really quickly.”
Lucy admitted she thought Wil would have chosen her – and she was sad to be departing the villa.
“There was a part of me that thought Wil would have chosen me … maybe he changed his mind at the last minute … I’m sad to be leaving but I had the best time ever, it was the best experience of my life! Being in an environment with new people, it was so fun. I don’t regret anything I did, I went with my heart. I’ve come out feeling positive that I was myself,” she said.
