The 75-year-old monarch, who has recently returned to public duties after getting the green light from his medical team, surprised fans with a major announcement.
The King has announced he will hold his first investiture ceremony since being diagnosed with cancer, honoring luminaries such as the Archbishop of Canterbury and Lady Jilly Cooper next week.
This announcement comes as Harry and Meghan are making headlines for their trip to Nigeria and provides a new update on the King’s health as his doctors have allowed him to undertake the largest indoor engagement at Windsor Castle.

He’s frustrated that he can’t get on and do all that he wants to be able to do.” Princess Anne’s son added, “However, he is very pragmatic and understands that there’s a period where he still needs to focus on himself.”

On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts shared photos of a young Prince William in military uniform with helicopters, highlighting his commitment and service to the country’s armed forces.
