King Charles is currently embroiled in a struggle with brother Andrew over the latter’s residency of the Royal Lodge.

King Charles has managed to upset everyone including Queen Camilla according to a source, as the Royal Family’s tumultuous 2024 continues.

This year, the Firm has faced a series of challenges and crises, including the ongoing feud between Prince Harry and Prince William, Prince Andrew and the Royal Lodge, alongside King Charles and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnoses.

All of this has reportedly put a lot of strain on the person at the top of the royal tree, the King himself, who has continued public appearances throughout the year.

According to one insider, however, the King is worried about the state of his reign despite the decades he’s had to prepare for it. They claimed that the monarch was now seeking “spiritual counsel” to help him through an eventful year for the Royal Family.

Speaking to Woman’s Day the source claimed: “Charles does look at the current state of his family with deep concern. Everyone, it seems, has issues, whether it be health, financial, legal.

“This situation with Andrew and the Royal Lodge has somewhat divided the family…with Anne, Sophie, and Edward all disappointed in how he’s handled it. Then there’s the diabolical situation with his two beloved sons.

“There are fallouts with Sarah, Beatrice, and Eugenie, who are deeply concerned Andrew is not being protected. He’s even managed to upset Camilla as she’s the one always bearing the brunt of his irritability.”

According to reports, the King has tried all manner of different ways to get his brother out of a place he has called home for over 20 years.

A source told the Daily Beast: “It’s been compared to a siege and that is accurate in one respect because Charles will starve Andrew out. Security is just a first step.

“He will cut all financial support if he has to. It’s Andrew’s choice how this goes. Charles is the King, and if he wants Andrew gone, Andrew will be gone in the end.”

As to who will replace Andrew in the Royal Lodge is unclear, but one royal expert has suggested that it could be the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

Richard Kay ruminated: “Charles has entertained the thought of offering Royal Lodge to his youngest brother, Prince Edward.

“The two haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, but the King has been hugely impressed by the manner in which Edward and his wife, Sophie, have increased their workload since their elevation to Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.”
