Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have caused such deep wounds that they may never be forgiven by William and Princess Kate, one Royal expert fears.

Charles Rae, renowned former Royal correspondent, joined The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show recently to discuss how the royal brothers’ relationship might currently be in a tough spot. Speaking about the tense relationship that currently exists between the siblings, and who should initiate reconciliation – the Sussexes or the Waleses – Charles stated: “Well, I think it is down to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to make the first move.”

“Whether or not it would be accepted by William and Catherine, I doubt very much it would be. There’s too much water which has gone under that bridge. After everything Harry and Meghan have done with the Oprah Winfrey interview, that Netflix show… Spare. The flamboyant curtsey by Meghan on the show as well.

“There’s too much gone under the bridge now. If they’re going to make the move, I am not so sure William and Catherine would respond favourably.”

Over the past few years, the Prince of Wales has faced numerous hardships, including the loss of his grandmother, the late Queen, and Prince Philip, while his father King Charles and his wife Princess Kate have both been diagnosed with cancer. William has also had a strained relationship with his brother, Prince Harry, marked by several challenging moments.

One of the most poignant moments was on September 8, 2022, when the late Queen passed away at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She was accompanied by her children, Princess Anne and Charles. Prince William, Edward, Andrew, and Sophie Wessex hurried to be there, while Prince Harry made his way separately to bid farewell.

There were early whispers that Meghan would join Harry on the journey to Balmoral, but he arrived solo. The Mail suggests she “changed her mind” about going, with Kate being the reason behind this decision.
