If Not The Rock vs Cody Rhodes, These 5 Storylines Will Convince You to Watch WrestleMania 40
The Rock and Cody Rhodes are not the only big names set to face-off in WrestleMania 40.
Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, is on the verge of making a comeback to the wrestling world. His match with The American Nightmare, also known as Cody Rhodes, has certainly attracted a lot of attention towards WrestleMania 40.
Produced by WWE, WrestleMania 40 is the upcoming professional wrestling event which will be held two nights- April 6 and April 7. This is the first WrestleMania since the formation of the TKO Group Holdings after the WWE was merged with UFC. This happened after Endeavor bought the former company in 2023, and implies that in addition to the WWE players, UFC players will also be joining the event this year.
While The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is one of the most highly anticipated matches of WrestleMania 40, here are 5 other matches (via WWE) that will keep you hooked.
Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes

Roman Reigns is the longest reigning WWE Universal Champion title-holder in his second reign and the current WWE Champion in his fourth reign. This has earned him the title of the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Two-time Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes will be up against Reigns for the second time as The Tribal Chief defeated him in the main event of WrestleMania 39. This is The American Nightmare’s chance to end Reigns’ reign as the WWE Universal Champion.
Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre

Former two-time WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is getting his chance to win a world title this year at the WrestleMania 40. He will be facing World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at The Showcase of the Immortals.
The Scottish Warrior was unable to defeat Rollins the two times he challenged him at WWE Crown Jewel and WWE Day 1. So, this is his chance to redeem himself by winning the title in front of the WWE Universe.
Logan Paul vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Logan Paul during WrestleMania 39
Logan Paul has been making more enemies than friends, if his recent streak is anything to go by. To begin with, he defeated Rey Mysterio for the U.S. title last October at WWE Crown Jewel. Then, he cheated his way to a disqualification victory during his match with Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. This obviously put him on Owens’ radar who is not planning to let Paul off the hook, so easily.
Although The Social Superstar did not manage to win the title in the Elimination Chamber, his faking an injury only to hit The Viper with brass knuckles made him another enemy in Randy Orton. To make matters worse, Paul mocked SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis for not announcing a match for him at WrestleMania, which led to Aldis announcing a match in which he will be defending his title of the U.S. Champion against Orton and Owens.
Gunther vs. Sami Zayn

Gunther is easily the longest-ruling Intercontinental Champion as he will have held the title for 664 days by the time he faces Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40. So far, The Ring General has defeated the likes of Jey Uso, Chad Gable, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre to protect his title.
However, former Intercontinental Champion title-holder Sami Zayn is a strong contender for Gunther and there is a chance that the latter might finally have to give up the title. Gunther and Zayn have faced each other in a match before. However, the title was not on the line then. Only time will tell whether or not Zayn will manage to beat The Ring General.
LA Knight vs. AJ Styles

LA Knight has been on the hunt to find AJ Styles for quite some time now. From backstage at Smack to catering and even places that were not related to WWE, Knight tried to track down Styles to avenge him for what the latter did in the Elimination Chamber.
For those unversed, AJ Styles bludgeoned into the Elimination Chamber to stop Knight from defeating World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. It is payback time for The Phenomenal One as he will be facing Knight at WrestleMania 40.
The upcoming two-night wrestling event is going to be quite exciting if the lineup is anything to go by. Fans must keep their eyes peeled unless they want to miss their favorite stars taking down their opponents.
