Eagles’ Jason Kelce shares wishy-washy update on retirement plans: Jason Kelce reiterated to David Spade & Dana Carvey in funny interview

Jason Kelce has yet to decide whether he’ll continue playing in the NFL, he said in a recent podcast interview, with the Eagles star admitting he’s ‘exploring different opportunities’ in case he decides to hang up his cleats.

Eagles' Jason Kelce shares wishy-washy update on retirement plans: Jason Kelce reiterated to David Spade & Dana Carvey in funny interview

While ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kelce informed his teammates he would be retiring after Philly’s first-round playoff loss to the Eagles, there has been no official word from the center since that January 15 game.

And during an interview with Dana Carvey and David Spade on their ‘Superfly’ podcast, Kelce revealed his decision is still hanging in the balance.

‘I don’t know. I’m trying to figure it out right now. Right now, exploring different opportunities if I end up retiring,’ Kelce said.

‘Still working out and staying in shape if I end up playing again.’

Kelce, who hosts the hit ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother Travis, reportedly met with TV executives in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week.

Front Office Sports said that he sat down with brass from Fox and ESPN, and begun ‘making the rounds’ with networks ahead of the Chiefs’ win over the 49ers.

Still, Kelce has been clear that he would struggle to leave the game of football.

‘Whenever you’re around this atmosphere, man, it’s really hard to not want to continue doing this,’ he exclusively told DailyMail.com after his brother Travis and the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship.

He added, ‘The game continues to be difficult to play – selfishly, physically. It’s a grueling sport and it has its problems with trying to play it the older you get… [but] it’s hard. It’s really hard. I’ll be honest with you.’

He echoed that sentiment on ‘Superfly, saying, ‘All these guys, when they get done it’s like you’re just kinda here man,’ while holding up his arm up in the middle of the camera.

‘You very rarely get these peaks. And you gotta find a way to kinda get that.’

The 36-year-old father-of-three strongly considered retiring at the end of last season and filmed his struggle to make a decision in the hit Amazon Prime documentary, ‘Kelce.’

He also filled in on Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football coverage during the Eagles’ bye week this season.
