    CNN —

Queen Camilla has teamed up with an all-female production crew in a powerful new documentary, airing next week, in which she vows to eradicate domestic abuse.

“Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors” follows Camilla as she meets survivors of abusive relationships, including a member of the UK parliament, a senior police officer and a former Miss England.

The film provides an insight into the Queen’s efforts at raising awareness of domestic and sexual violence – a subject she has devoted herself to for a number of years now. In 2020, she became patron of domestic abuse charity “Save Lives,” and back in 2017, she spoke to CNN about the subject in her very first TV news interview.

According to UK government data, on average, a woman is killed by a current or ex-partner every five days in England and Wales but the 77-year-old royal’s new film stresses that violence may not be part of the abuse until it is too late to save the victim.

The film’s campaigners highlight the role that coercive control plays in domestic abuse, with perpetrators not necessarily targeting the obviously vulnerable. One survivor who can attest to this is Chief Inspector Sharon Baker of Avon and Somerset Police, who features in the documentary.

In a conversation with CNN, Baker revealed she initially didn’t tell anyone about what she went through. She assumed “nobody was ready to hear that a cop like me could be a victim.” It was not until she heard the victim-blaming language of a fellow survivor – a member of her own staff – that she reflected on her own reluctance to speak out.

“There are so many myths about domestic abuse. That it’s going to be someone weak,” Baker told CNN. “Well, I was totally opposite. I was strong and powerful, going to disorders with my riot helmet on.”

When the chief inspector decided to share that she had also been in an abusive relationship, her colleague told her, “If this can happen to you, it’s OK that it’s happened to me.” Motivated by this, Baker shared a six-minute video within her police force and was astounded when more than 130 other survivors came forward. They began meeting monthly and still do.

Baker believes the issue is “much more prevalent than we think” and hopes Camilla’s documentary will raise awareness.

“Coercive control is the biggest indicator of future homicide. I didn’t suffer any violence until I tried to leave. The time you see violence could be too late.”

In 2015, coercive control became a criminal offense in England and Wales. Baker describes how her ex sowed seeds of doubt in her personal relationships, slowly isolating her from her support network. “There are red flags everywhere, but your perpetrator gives you rose-tinted glasses,” Baker continued. “You can’t see the red flags.”

She hopes part of the conversation to emerge as a result of the documentary will be around coercive control, as well as helping people to speak up when aspects of their relationships concern them.

For Camilla, she accepts that there has been progress but insists that there is still a lot of work to be done to eradicate domestic abuse.

It’s a promise she makes in the documentary, saying: “And I shall keep on trying until I am able to no more.”

“Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors” airs on November 11 at 9 p.m. on UK broadcaster ITV1.

Catherine, Princess of Wales joined the royal family as they paid their respects to all those who have lost their lives in conflicts at the annual Remembrance Day service in London on Sunday.

King Charles III, who recently returned from his first long-haul multi-country tour since his cancer diagnosis, led the family and the nation in honoring fallen servicemen and women at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, near Downing Street.

The 75-year-old British monarch laid the first wreath at the base of the stone monument, as hundreds of veterans, serving personnel and members of the public looked on. Attached was a handwritten note that read: “In grateful remembrance of your service and sacrifice.”

It closely resembled one produced for his late grandfather King George VI and was mounted with poppies on an arrangement of black leaves, as is traditional for the sovereign, bearing a ribbon comprised of his racing colors of scarlet, purple and gold.

Prince William also left a floral tribute, featuring the Prince of Wales feathers and a new ribbon in Welsh red, at the war memorial.

His wife, Kate, viewed the solemn commemorations from the balcony of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, which overlooks the Cenotaph. She was accompanied by Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

Other members of the royal family in attendance included Prince Edward, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.

The annual service – which is held on the Sunday closest to Armistice Day – also featured a march past of 10,000 veterans and saw the nation fall silent as Big Ben struck 11 a.m. (6 a.m. ET).

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the newly installed leader of the Conservative Party Kemi Badenoch also attended the ceremony and laid wreaths. Standing behind them were eight former prime ministers: John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak.

It was the second appearance of the weekend for the Princess of Wales, who revealed she had an undisclosed cancer eight months ago, and marked her first major official appearances since completing chemotherapy.

Kate, 42, announced she was cancer free in September and would be taking a phased approach to resuming public royal duties. Last month, she accompanied William on visit to Southport in northwest England, where the couple met with the bereaved families of three children killed in a knife attack in July.

On Saturday evening, she looked radiant in a chic black dress adorned with a poppy brooch as she joined the Windsor clan for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance. The annual event at London’s renowned Royal Albert Hall celebrates the service and sacrifice of British and Commonwealth Armed Forces personnel.

This year’s showcase of music, performances and readings marked the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy as well as 25 years since the deployment of NATO peacekeeping forces in Kosovo and the decade since the withdrawal of British troops from Afghanistan.

Queen Camilla, who this week reluctantly withdrew from engagements as she was unwell, remained at home in Wiltshire.

Buckingham Palace confirmed Saturday that she was “following doctors’ guidance to ensure a full recovery from a seasonal chest infection, and to protect others from any potential risk.”

A palace spokesperson said, “While this is a source of great disappointment to the Queen, she will mark the occasion privately at home and hopes to return to public duties early next week.”

While she appears to still under the weather, it is understood her absence was not cause for alarm nor had there been a downturn in her condition. Instead, the 77-year-old royal was said to be mindful of minimizing the risk of passing any last lingering infection to others.

Prince William recently opened up about the challenges his family have faced in 2024, describing it as “dreadful” and “the hardest year of my life.”

Speaking to British media outlets as his four-day trip to South Africa for his Earthshot Awards concluded, the Prince of Wales said, “trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.”

He added: “But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done.”

In the days ahead, the King will celebrate his upcoming birthday by opening two new food distribution hubs. Charles, who turns 76 on Thursday, will open one in person and the other virtually.

The plans for the monarch’s birthday will also mark one year since he launched his Coronation Food Project, an initiative he was inspired to launch with the dual purpose of tackling both food poverty and waste.

Other users on X praised the Duchess for giving the family a special moment.

A user said: “So happy that Harry and Meghan brought joy in your family and made your mum smile so much. Diana’s love and charisma and legacy shines so much in them.”

Meghan Markle Plots to Unleash ‘Ultimate Weapon’ Against Princess Kate and King Charles after Kate Middleton did this to her…full details below

Meghan Markle is allegedly scheming behind the scenes, waiting to “drop another bomb” to hurt Princess Kate Middleton and King Charles after her and Prince Harry’s “Faux Royal Tour.”

Royal biographer Tom Bower suggested that Markle, who he referred to as an “agent of poison”, is planning to unleash her “ultimate weapon” against the royal family.

In a recent interview, Bower expressed his concerns about the Sussexes, noting a perceived decline in their future prospects.

Despite recent controversies surrounding Harry and Meghan, including their Netflix documentary and explosive interviews, Bower believes Markle’s silence could be the “calm before the storm.”
The future for the Sussexes is pretty grim, I think they’re on a permanent decline,” Bower revealed.

“But whenever they need money, whenever they need publicity to stoke their reputation, they will drop another bomb,” he continued. “We’re still waiting for Meghan’s own autobiography, which I’m sure she’s penning, she’s a good writer, and it will be filled with vitriol and filled with lies.”

The Royal biographer claims Markle wants a sensational headline to use as an “ultimate weapon” she can deploy.
Bower also shed light on the Sussexes’ visit to Nigeria, described as a “faux royal tour.”

During their time in Africa, Meghan and Harry engaged with local communities and officials with the goal of garnering support for hosting the Invictus Games in 2029.

Following the success of this visit, talks of potential future “fake royal tours” emerged.

Amidst the drama surrounding Meghan’s alleged schemes, shocking health revelations within the Royal Family came to light.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, King Charles faced health difficulties, including a cancer diagnosis following a prostate surgery.

Despite these challenges, the King has demonstrated resilience by enthusiastically resuming his public duties, which is evident in recent appearances at official events.

Breaking News: Queen Camilla’s son makes statement as Prince William reaches out to Harry

Queen Camilla’s son Tom Parker Bowles has shared interesting facts about his mother Queen Camilla amid reports of reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William.

Tom Parker showered praise on Camilla, who was targeted by Harry in his book “Spare”. It comes after Prince William mentioned Harry in his upcoming documentary, seemingly reaching out to the Duke to ease the tension with him.

Revealing the struggles of communicating with the Queen, Tom lifted the lid on the cooking of his mother and the meals they ate at home while he was growing up.

He also gave an adorable title to the Queen, describing her as a “good, basic cook”.

“She was a good cook. A good, basic cook. Roast chicken, salads and scrambled eggs – all that very English stuff,” he told The Independent.
He added: “We had no spice whatsoever in our upbringing. We didn’t have curries.

“The only spice in the house might’ve been a tiny old dusty tin of curry powder for some disgusting coronation chicken occasionally and a bottle of old Tabasco for a Bloody Mary. That was the only spice.”

In a new interview, the 49-year-old explained also claimed that he struggles to contact his mother due to her outdated mobile phone.

“We do — my children, my sister and cousins,” Tom said when asked about family WhatsApp groups.

“But my mum still uses an old-fashioned telephone, so [she] can’t. I think it’s for security.”

The revelation sheds light on the communication challenges within the Royal Family, particularly as Queen Camilla, 77, takes on more responsibilities alongside King Charles.

He recently said of his mother she’s working a lot harder. She’s always worked quite hard, [so] it’s still the case of, I ring my mother, she doesn’t answer.”

Anti-monarchy group breaks silence on latest allegations against King Charles, Prince William

Anti-monarchy group Republic has reacted to latest allegations against King Charles and his elder son Prince William, and called on the government to abolish the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster.

The campaigners have called on the government to abolish the Duchies of Cornwall and Lancaster, and bring their assets and income under direct state ownership.

In a statement, the Republic says the call comes after a Dispatches, Sunday Times and Mirror investigation into the huge profits made at the expense of charities and public services, and the shocking standard of Duchy of Cornwall rental properties.

“The Duchies are not the private property of Charles and William, as the royals imply, but are Crown assets belonging to the state,” the statement says.

Republic CEO Graham Smith says, “The Dispatches investigation shows how the Duchies are doggedly pursuing profit at every turn, at huge expense to the public and charities.”

The Duchies are not private property, they are state assets. Parliament allowed the royals to maintain control over these estates when other land was surrendered three centuries ago. It’s time parliament abandoned that arrangement.”

According to reports, the private estates of the monarch and his elder son have received almost £50 million of income from contracts with public bodies and charities, as claimed in a new investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches and the Sunday Times.

Prince Harry is “trying to go at it alone” and “not trying to become a working royal” again, according to GB News Royal correspondent Cameron Walker. The Duke of Sussex quit his role as a working royal in January 2020 and moved to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Walker was asked if the recent events involving senior Royals stepping back—three in total, one in the hospital and two regularly visiting for treatment—might have influenced Prince Harry to adopt a more responsible role.

Walker believes the situation isn’t related to temporary absences of Royal Family members like the Princess of Wales and Princess Anne. Instead, he thinks the individual is attempting to manage on his own and isn’t trying to reintegrate as a working member of the Royal Family.

“I think he is pretty happy in California from the messages we are getting from him, but clearly it is a huge frustration. I think perhaps for those Royal watchers and those Royal fans who think what could have been if he stayed as a working member and how much he could have perhaps helped,” he added.

Walker commented that, if Meghan had remained a working member of the Royal Family, especially when the monarchy appeared quite slimmed down, the situation would have been very different.

    Prince Harry ‘angry and frustrated’

“I think over the last few years, it’s been pretty clear that Prince Harry has been pretty angry and frustrated with the situation he’s ended up being in. There’s been long periods of absence, I think, from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,” he added.

Meghan Markle is reportedly scared to return to the UK with Prince Harry if he decides to spend time there over summer.

Meghan Markle will likely not join Prince Harry if he returns to the UK for an extended stay to reconnect with his family, an insider has claimed. The Duke of Sussex is believed to be planning a trip to “prioritise mending his broken relationship with his family,” but his wife will not join him, Closer reports.

Harry is very anxious to go home and see his dad, catch up with his friends for his birthday in September and also pay a visit to his aunt, Princess Anne. But that situation hasn’t changed for Meghan,” an insider tells the publication.

She’s respectful that Harry has to go back to his home for practical and emotional reasons, but that doesn’t mean she’s going to go with him.”

Meghan is currently working on her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, and most recently released a small number of jams to friends and influencers to promote the company. She has also reportedly recently wrapped on her next Netflix show, a cooking programme

She’s got way too much on her plate with the brand and her new cooking show, as well as looking after the kids,” the insider says. “The last thing she needs is the stress of going back to the UK, where she fears she’d be heckled again in public, which she finds incredibly painful.”

Meghan and Harry were famously booed when they arrived at the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

The couple last visited the UK together for an Invictus Games event in May, however, Meghan never left the airport before the pair jetted to Nigeria

During that visit, Harry attempted to see his father, but issued a statement saying King Charles was too busy and unable to meet up with him.

Harry’s spokesperson said, “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

The soonest that Meghan is likely to visit the UK with Harry is in 2027 for the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.
