Anthony Joshua’s next fight – and its venue – may have been leaked by Derek Chisora and he claims that Anthony Joshua will NOT face Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk next

Anthony Joshua‘s next fight – and its venue – may have been leaked by Derek Chisora.

Joshua is riding the crest of a wave after stunning Francis Ngannou in the pair’s heavyweight clash earlier this year, knocking out the former MMA star in the second round of their highly-anticipated clash.

The Brit threw himself back into the conversation for a world title fight next up, and had seemingly been set to face the winner of Tyson Fury’s bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

That fight will take place on May 18, leaving Joshua seemingly waiting to find out his next opponent and seal a deal to fight in one of the biggest boxing bouts of all time in an undisputed fight.

Speaking to iFL TV, however, Chisora claimed to know the details of AJ’s next bout, and said that it won’t be against Fury or Usyk.

Anthony Joshua’s next fight has potentially been leaked following his win over Francis Ngannou

Joshua had been set to face the winner of Tyson Fury’s undisputed fight against Oleksandr Usyk

Derek Chisora, however, has suggested that his fellow Brit will instead take on the winner of a different fight

‘He [Joshua] will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and [Filip] Hrgovic in Wembley,’ Chisora said.

Dubois and the undefeated Fans have been preparing themselves for an undisputed fight, with either an all-British clash or Joshua vs Usyk three on the agenda in Saudi Arabia.

Fury previously told Mail Sport that he was planning to face the winner of the bout, but was reluctant to make promises while in Saudi Arabia for Joshua’s clash with Ngannou.

‘Whoever wins it’s big for me,’ he said earlier this year. ‘If AJ wins, it’s a good opportunity for a big British showdown again, and if Ngannou wins, and it’s a good opportunity for a rematch for me.

‘So it’s, it’s a win win for me. Yeah, make no mistake that the winner of this, I will potentially give them a world title shot later on in this year or next’.

Fans have waited to see who would be crowned undisputed champion in Usyk’s bout with Fury, which many had claimed would see the best heavyweight crowned once and for all.

Daniel Dubois (L) will take on Filip Hrgovic (R) later on this year and the winner could face Joshua

Joshua is looking to stake his claim as the best heavyweight it the world after beating Ngannou

Joshua has improved since back-to-back defeats to Usyk, however, and Eddie Hearn was among those to claimed that Joshua is again the best in the world.

‘If we won this fight then he would fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk,’ Hearn said in the aftermath of Joshua’s win over Ngannou. ‘You’re looking at the number one heavyweight in the world.

‘Tyson Fury please beat Usyk because you will get the biggest fight in the history of the sport. As a fighter, he’s an inspiration to young people.’

Old Rival Derek Chisora Reveals Anthony Joshua’s Next Fight, Contradicting Speculation of a Showdown with Tyson Fury.

Hearn disclosed the potential date of Joshua’s battle with Fury for the world championship.

Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua’s former foe, has revealed who his next opponent would be.

The four-time world champion has bounced back to form, his most recent victory an impressive knockout of Francis Ngannou.

Right, Derek Chisora disclosed the identity of Anthony Joshua’s upcoming opponent.

Joshua had previously been contemplating Filip Hrgovic as a rival.

Daniel Dubois could jump to the front of the queue if he beats Hrgovic in June.

He has been tipped to fight the winner of Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk – having lost to the Ukrainian twice previously.

But with that fight not scheduled to take place until May 18, Joshua could fight a different opponent in the mean time.

And according to fellow heavyweight Chisora, a fighter has already been lined up.

Chisora told iFL TV: “He (Joshua) will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and (Filip) Hrgovic at Wembley.”

That pair are set to clash on June 1, with the IBF likely set to order the winner to face Joshua in a world title fight as the belt will likely be vacant by then.

Brit Dubois previously challenged for IBF world title when he fought Usyk, who also holds WBA (Super), WBO, and IBO belts.

Joshua, 34, has been heavily tipped to face Hrgovic, who is unbeaten in 17 professional bouts.

Hearn revealed he considered Hrgovic as an option before agreeing a deal to fight Ngannou.

And Joshua’s promoter remains hopeful of setting up a duel with Fury before the end of the year.

He said: “Because the Darts Championship happens in December and January, I’m gonna say that Fury vs AJ happens this year.

“So I’m gonna say Fury vs AJ [happens first].”

Promoter Indicates Tyson Fury’s Potential Next Fight Against Anthony Joshua, Defying Usyk Rematch Clause Valued in Millions.

Fans of boxing everywhere may finally witness the match they’ve been waiting for.

According to his promoter, TYSON FURY may fight Anthony Joshua in a thrilling Battle of Britain before taking on Oleksandr Usyk again.

On May 18, Fury and Usyk, who are 35 and 37 years old, respectively, will compete for the title of heavyweight champion in a lucrative Saudi bout.

On May 18, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will compete for the title of heavyweight champion.

Anthony Joshua is waiting in the wings to face the winner of the Riyadh rumbles.

Promoter Bob Arum has stated that before AJ and Fury rematch, AJ may face Fury.

After their scrap in Riyadh, the two are required by contract to rematch, most likely at the end of the year.

But Joshua may step in and take on Fury if Saudi boxing kingpin Turki Alalshikh wants to see the fight happen next, according to Fury’s co-promoter Bob Arum.

He told The Daily Mail: “What happens if Fury-Usyk turns out to be a classic?

“A fight that is so exciting and so thrilling that the public wants to see it again.

“Then that would certainly trump a Joshua fight, and contractually, it’s a fight that has to happen.

“Now, what happens if it’s a one-sided fight and Fury wins the fight?

“Then maybe everybody can sit down with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh and work out some arrangement go right to Fury-Joshua.

“If Usyk wins the fight, I don’t think there would be that much demand for an Usyk-Joshua fight because after all they fought twice and Usyk beat him twice.

“So, one fight at a time, that’s my motto.”

Arum’s belief that AJ could finally share the ring with Fury is also held by fellow promoter Eddie Hearn.

In a bizarre question involving darts star Luke Littler, Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn revealed to talkTV’s Piers Morgan his belief that the biggest fight in the sport will materialise before the end of 2024.

He said: “Because the Darts Championship happens in December and January, I’m gonna say that Fury vs AJ happens this year.

“So I’m gonna say Fury vs AJ [happens first].”

Fury and Joshua inked a lucrative two-fight deal in the summer of 2020 but haven’t come close to fighting one another.

Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder scuppered their two-fight series by winning his arbitration for a trilogy fight with The Gypsy King.

Joshua, 34, is back in world title contention following a stellar 2023, in which he rattled off three impressive wins on the bounce.

And he picked up his third KO win in a row last month when he brutally stopped former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in the second round of their Saudi showdown.

Anthony Joshua is riding an impressive four-fight win streak.

Hearn’s forecast will astound boxing enthusiasts.

According to EDDIE HEARN, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury WILL square off this year.

To the dismay of boxing fans everywhere, however, their much-anticipated domestic brawl has yet to materialize.

But now that former unified heavyweight king Joshua has won four straight, their long-overdue Battle of Britain is back on the table.

Additionally, Matchroom Boxing CEO Hearn expressed his conviction that the biggest bout in the sport will take place before the end of the year in a peculiar question concerning darts player Luke Littler.

He told talkTV’s Piers Morgan: “Because the Darts Championship happens in December and January, I’m gonna say that Fury vs AJ happens this year.

Jake Paul attempts to intimidate Mike Tyson before legend turns his back during tense face-off

Mike Tyson turned his back on Jake Paul as he used a ‘gun-shot’ gesture during their face-off.

Paul and Tyson came face-to-face for the second time this week in Arlington, Texas as part of their press tour to promote their July 20 encounter in the squared circle.

Paul used an antagonistic ritual which drew no response from TysonCredit: Getty

Things had been respectful and amicable between the fighters during their opening event in New York, but things became more heated as they traded insults this time out.

When brought to the front of the stage to face-off, Paul decided to try to get in the face of his rival by posing as if he was ready to land a punch on Tyson.

The heavyweight legend initially stood there completely unfazed and then responded by raising his hands, as if to suggest he wanted no part in the antics.

Tyson then proceeded to turn his back on Paul, at which point the ‘Problem Child’ made a gesture in the shape of a gun towards his bemused opponent.

The undisputed world champion has seen it all before at press conferences during his successful 20-year professional career spanning 1985 to 2005.

He kept his business-like facade during the staredown and is unlikely to be intimidated by the YouTube star in any shape or form.

But he was clearly more open to trading verbal barbs with Paul than earlier in the week, as they spoke to promote the fight.

He said: “I don’t see too many people critical about it. Look at this.

Tyson then left the face-off turning his back on PaulCredit: Netflix

“I was doing this years ago, so this is nothing new to me. This is new to this young boy over here.”

Paul then responded: “I hope you all keep that same energy when I knock this old man out.

“In due time, I will be fighting for a world championship. And I will be making you eat your own words.

“I respect Mike. But it’s time. It’s my time now. I will go down as the man who put down Mike Tyson for the last time.”

Paul had been clearly wound-up with the reception he received upon arrival to the conference, with fans booing in a largely pro-Tyson crowd.

This gave him much more loaded ammunition to aim at his veteran rival, who refused to rise to his antagonistic tendencies.

Tyson came up against some brilliant talkers during his prime, including Lennox Lewis who he brawled with at a press conference in 2002 before their mega-fight.

Paul has become known in boxing for his trash-talking and brash personality, but Tyson has shown he is willing to take the surprise event seriously.

‘Iron Mike’ has been posting training footage from his camp in his own intimidation tactics, and it has certainly worked with Paul admitting he is ‘nervous’ to step in the ring.

Mike Tyson says Jake Paul gave him ‘an erection’ in bizarre press conference for their fight

Mike Tyson has bizarrely claimed Jake Paul once gave him ‘an erection’ when he saw a video of the YouTuber-turned-boxer dancing as a 16-year-old.

The pair traded insults and expletives in Texas on Thursday night as they previewed their fight close to the 80,000-seat home of the Dallas Cowboys that will stage it.

But the press conference took a bizarre turn when Paul initially said he wanted to ‘kiss Mike’s big juicy lips.’

The moderator then turned to Tyson for a response and the 57-year-old went on to make a staggering claim.

In response, the former world heavyweight champion said: ‘He wanted to kiss me?

Mike Tyson has bizarrely claimed Jake Paul once gave him ‘an erection’ when he was just 16

The pair traded insults and expletives in Texas on Thursday night as they previewed their fight

‘That’s so ironic that he said that because I saw pictures of him dancing at 16, doing that little dance on YouTube and for some reason I had an erection.’

Paul was unmoved by the comment but it prompted an awkward response from the thousands of fans who had gathered for the event.

Paul continued to downplay the suggestion that he still hasn’t had a legitimate opponent, while Tyson simply refused to answer a question about his age.

The former heavyweight champion will be 58 on July 20, when the fight is set for AT&T Stadium.

‘I don’t see too many people critical about it. Look at this,’ Tyson said, pointing to the raucous crowd at an entertainment venue near the site of the fight.

When a reporter suggested there were critics, Tyson said, ‘Who? Name me somebody. You? Who?’

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is sanctioning the fight as a professional bout, but it will be eight two-minute rounds instead of 10 or 12 rounds lasting three minutes each. The gloves will be heavier (14 ounces instead of 10), which is supposed to reduce the power of punches.

Tyson retired in 2005, but most recently fought in an exhibition in November 2020 against Roy Jones in California, which wouldn’t declare it a pro fight.

Tyson was mostly annoyed by the scene and the questions, including when asked what it meant to have a chance to fill AT&T Stadium.

Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are the co-main event in a rematch of their 2022 slugfest

‘I was doing this years ago, so this is nothing new to me,’ said Tyson, who won 50 fights with 44 knockouts before retiring. ‘This is new to this young boy over here.’

Entering to loud boos, Paul answered with foul language and derogatory gestures, then encouraged and led an expletive-laden chant directed at him by the pro-Tyson crowd.

‘I hope you all keep that same energy when I knock this old man out,’ Paul said.

Paul has nine wins in 10 fights, three since his only loss to Tommy Fury, the young half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. One of the recent wins was in nearby Dallas against former UFC fighter Nate Diaz.

‘In due time, I will be fighting for a world championship,’ Paul said to the suggestion that he hasn’t fought a legitimate opponent, which also drew the ire of Tyson. ‘And I will be making you eat your own words.’

Netflix is carrying the fight live, a first for the streaming platform. Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano are the co-main event in a rematch of their slugfest at Madison Square Garden two years ago.

Paul built a significant fan following as a YouTube influencer before he embarked on a professional boxing career four years ago. Tyson was the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987-90.

‘I respect Mike,’ Paul said. ‘But it´s time. It´s my time now. I will go down as the man who put down Mike Tyson for the last time.’

Logan Paul hit with bold Mike Tyson prediction by WWE Champ Cody Rhodes as chaos breaks out on SmackDown

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is the latest name to make a bold prediction ahead of the upcoming Jake Paul v Mike Tyson fight in Texas.

YouTuber turned boxer Paul faces the most high-profile moment of his career when he steps into the ring with the heavyweight boxing legend in July.

One of the most talked-about clashes of the year sees a 58-year-old step back between the ropes in an officially sanctioned meeting with the starlet who is more than 30 years his junior.

Opinions on the titanic tussle have flowed aplenty in the lengthy build the AT&T Stadium spectacle, not least in WWE where Paul’s brother, Logan wrestles as the United States Champion on SmackDown.

The Maverick himself has his own major match coming up – he meets Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the company’s King and Queen of the Ring event next weekend which takes place in Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah Super Dome.

Rhodes and Paul faced off in the ring once again on SmackDown this week, just seven days after the 29-year-old upstart impressed fans with his abilities on the microphone in stepping up to relative veteran Rhodes.

This time it was the turn of Rhodes to lay down some truths, with the American Nightmare laying it on thick for Paul in a stinging blast that included a bold reference to the Tyson outing.

Rhodes made clear he expects to walk out of King and Queen of the Ring with his championship intact, but was adamant boxing icon Tyson will fare far better in his outing.

After tempers boiled over in the ring, Rhodes said: “Let me tell you something, you fly-by-night human hat rack.

“Here’s the situation: the honeymoon with you is over, I’ve seen you do a flip, whoopdie do.

Logan Paul and Cody Rhodes traded words during the ‘contract’ signing for their upcoming match in Saudi ArabiaCredit: WWE

“After our match at King and Queen of the ring, you will find out exactly who Logan Paul is on the inside.”

Rhodes added: “In eight days [sic], a WWE Hall of Famer is going to knock your brother out, and in Saudi Arabia, a future WWE Hall of Famer is going to beat you.”

The verbal volley from Rhodes came either side of some classic WWE action to set up the title match for King and Queen of the ring.

Their bout had been teased – though not confirmed – as being a title for title match where both the Undisputed WWE Championship and the United States gold would be on the line.

That always seemed unlikely, and the expected storyline exit from that scenario duly emerged, with Paul sneakily claiming to have wrangled the legal side of the match ‘contract’ to ensure only Rhodes would have to put his gold up for grabs.

That was much to the frustration of brit GM Nick Aldis and the live crowd, but an infuriated Rhodes signed the contract in any case.

Sure enough, physicality then followed as Paul tried to take a sneaky swipe at the fan favourite, only for Rhodes to dodge the attack and the influencer to tuck tail and run after being clotheslined over the top rope.

Paul swiftly disappeared when things turned physical with Rhodes, but one of his ‘team’ took a heavy hit on his behalfCredit: WWE

One of the challenger’s entourage for the night duly paid the price for that, taking a brutal looking powerbomb through a table from Rhodes for good measure.

Friday night’s SmackDown also saw advances for Randy Orton, Nia Jax, Bianca Belair and Tama Tonga in the respective King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Jake Paul’s private jet is struck by lighting as he flies away from Mike Tyson press conference

Jake Paul‘s private jet was tormented by lightning as he flew home from his New York press conference ahead of fighting Mike Tyson in July.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer shared a video of his plane, reportedly worth around $38million, shaking violently as electrical discharge crackled outside.

Paul and Tyson will lock horns at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20 in an exhibition bout streamed live on Netflix.

Surrounded by his friends and holding his golden retriever, Thor, he chose not to speak with God but made a plea to an ancient Greek idol.

‘We woke up the gods of war and (there is) lightning on the plane, brother,’ he started in an Instagram video before a fierce crackle rocked the jet.

Jake Paul was terrified when lightning tormented his plane after his Mike Tyson press conference

He made a praying sign with his hands and called on Greek deity Zeus to come to his rescue

His private jet is reportedly worth around $38million and is one of his many speedy toys

‘Oh s***! Zeus, I love you brother,’ he said, clasping his hands in a prayer sign.

Fortunately Paul made it safely back to  firm ground as he later shared the video, writing: ‘The way home from the presser was interesting’. A laughing face emoji confirmed his carefree spirits.

One fan quipped in the comments that Paul was trying to escape fighting Tyson. ‘My guy trying to fake his death so he doesn’t need to fight,’ they wrote.

Another compared the lightning to the former unified heavyweight champion himself, saying: ‘First hit from Mike Tyson.’

The fight between Tyson, 57, and Paul has garnered lots of controversy and opinions.

Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr, who fought Iron Mike in the £63m fight billed as the ‘Lockdown Knockdown’ in 2020, warned of Tyson’s brute strength.

‘Mike Tyson is still the strongest puncher that I’ve ever been in the ring with,’ he told Shane Mosley.

‘The first time he hit me in the chest, it felt like a mule had kicked me in the chest.

Mike Tyson’s potential replacement for Jake Paul fight revealed as boxing legend’s health comes into question

Jake Paul may have already lined up a replacement opponent amid concerns over Mike Tyson‘s health heading into their fight on July 20.

The controversial Netflix bout between Paul, 27, and Tyson – who will be 58 when he climbs back through the ropes this summer – had already drawn criticism due to the boxing legend’s age and the fact he has not competed professionally for 19 years.

And to add to the concerns over his safety, ‘Iron’ Mike suffered a medical emergency on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles over the weekend.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up, forcing flight staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board to provide assistance.

Paramedics boarded the plane, which had already been delayed by two hours in Miami because of the heat, once it touched down in LA to give treatment, before Tyson is said to have made a quick recovery.

Despite his representatives claiming he is ‘doing great’ after the health scare, it remains to be seen whether Tyson passes medical tests and is deemed fit to fight Paul this summer.

Though should he fail those tests or pull out himself, former UFC star Chael Sonnen says he is the man lined up to replace the 57-year-old.

In a series of posts on X, Sonnen claimed Paul wrote him into the contract as Tyson’s backup, while suggesting that his June 15 boxing match against old UFC rival Anderson Silva in Brazil is a tune-up ahead of that potential opening.

‘I guess it was wise of Jake Paul to write me into the contract as Tyson’s backup, wasn’t it???’ the ex-MMA fighter said in light of Tyson’s health scare.

‘If Jake Paul realizes he might be fighting ME in a month, HE may be the one having a heart attack’.

He then added: ‘…Maybe the Anderson Silva tune-up with @spatenbr makes a little more sense now, doesn’t it…? #MasterPlan’.

While Sonnen claims he is waiting in the wings, Tyson insists he is back to ‘100 per cent’ following his medical scare.
