  • John Fury wants KSI to pay him £200,000 for bet that was verbally agreed before Tommy Fury fight

John Fury wants KSI to pay him £200,000 for bet that was verbally agreed before Tommy Fury fight

John Fury is demanding a six-figure sum from KSI for a bet that was placed in the build-up to Saturday night’s fight in Manchester.

After a close contest at the AO Arena, Tommy Fury was named a majority-decision winner in his bout against KSI before it was revealed that the scores had been added up incorrectly.

The 24-year-old was later awarded a unanimous-decision victory – a result that many have disagreed with, including KSI, who vowed to appeal the final result in an emotional post-fight interview.

Ahead of October 14, an extremely confident Fury was convinced he’d KO his opponent inside four rounds, and so was his father, John, who bet £200,000 on Tommy coming out on top.

As you can see in the clip below, a verbal agreement was made on YouTube channel Adin Live.

And now, a month later, John Fury has called on KSI to pay up after the YouTube personality and musician suffered the first defeat of his boxing career.

“This is a quick video for KSI,” said Fury. “You owe me £200,000 pounds. We had a bet. I want paying. Now, don’t be like the other fella, Jake Paul. Be a man and pay your bets.

“We had a bet, live on a podcast. We’ve got all the evidence. We’ll put it all together. You owe me, John Fury, £200,000. I want paying. Thank you very much.”

Check out the full clip below:

Tommy Fury has since dismissed KSI’s suggestion that the result was a robbery.

“At the end of the day, he can say what he wants, but hugging and doing star jumps in the ring does not win a fight,” Fury said on Good Morning Britain.

“He can go on about how he was robbed, but it was his show [a Misfits event], his officials, his judges. So, are you saying that your own people, that you employed, robbed you?

It’s very hard to fight someone who doesn’t want to fight. I don’t know [about the chance of a rematch], we’re gonna see. But that was a horrible fight to be a part of. He didn’t wanna fight, he didn’t want to stand there and give the fans a good fight.

“He just wanted to make it awkward, look horrible and run around the ring for six rounds. It’s very irritating for someone like me, who wanted to get in there and have a proper fight.”

  • Jake Paul’s answer in 2020 when asked if he could beat Mike Tyson is very telling

Jake Paul’s answer in 2020 when asked if he could beat Mike Tyson is very telling

Jake Paul gave a very telling answer when asked if he could beat Mike Tyson back in 2020.

Paul, who scored a big knockout win over Ryan Bourland earlier this month, returns to action on July 20 when he faces boxing legend Tyson.

He posted on social media following the shock announcement, with fans slamming his ‘shameless’ warning.

Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn pulled no punches as he shared his honest thoughts on the fight booking, with Paul’s promoter firing back at his claim.

‘The Problem Child’ is extremely confident of beating ‘Iron’ Mike – but he wasn’t as optimistic back in 2020.

When he was a budding professional, Paul was asked whether he could beat Tyson to which he replied: “F**k no! No, definitely not!”

Paul began his boxing career in 2020 as he kicked off his career with a win over AnEsonGib before beating former NBA star Nate Robinson.

The 27-year-old has since compiled a record of 9-1, beating the likes of Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (x2), Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

His defeat to Tommy Fury remains the sole blemish on his professional boxing record.

Paul fought Robinson on the undercard of Tyson’s fight against Roy Jones Jr.

After sharing the same card, he now faces the former world heavyweight champion.

“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard,” the 27-year-old said in a statement.

“Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.

“Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world – a testament to all we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.”

  • Matt Bishop Lauds Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel for Speaking in Favor of LGBTQ+ Rights

Over the past few years, the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel have undertaken several initiatives to promote diversity and inclusivity in F1. Journalist Matt Bishop, who himself is an openly gay man, has lauded the two legendary F1 drivers for their efforts. In an exclusive conversation with The SportsRush‘s Tanish Chachra, Bishop was asked about what has prompted the likes of Hamilton and Vettel to express their views about inclusivity and diversity more freely now.

In reply, the British journalist said, “The world has changed as I say and Formula 1 has changed with it. Formula 1 when it began, in the ashes of the Second World War in 1950, we’re talking about really white male heterosexuals”.

Bishop believes that because of F1’s historical context, most of the founders of the sport developed prejudices. However, he believes that the newer generations no longer have such prejudices.

Since most of the youth of today’s generation do not have any significant prejudices, they tend to have a more open mindset and have more acceptance towards others. As a result of this increased acceptance in society, Bishop believes that the likes of Vettel and Hamilton also feel more comfortable in expressing their viewpoints.

Bishop then explained how he is very proud of both Hamilton and Vettel for the efforts they have put in to speak about LGBTQ+ rights. Bishop referred to both these drivers as “allies” as they have repeatedly voiced their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The journalist pointed out how Hamilton is famous for voicing his support by wearing his rainbow helmet. Meanwhile, when it came to Vettel, Bishop revealed that the German had the perfect response to anyone who spoke against LGBTQ+ rights. Bishop explained,

“He (Vettel) expressed it better than I’ve ever heard anyone express it at all. He simply used to say: ‘Everyone in the world has an inalienable right to be who they want to be and love whom they want to love. And if you can’t agree with that, then I think you’re the person who’s got the problem”.

Matt Bishop believes younger drivers are unfazed by older generations’ prejudices

After praising both Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel for their support, Matt Bishop then pointed out how none of the younger drivers share the prejudices that many of the older generation did when he joined F1. The British journalist revealed that he joined F1 in the early 1990s, a time when it was uncommon for the LGBTQ+ community to freely express themselves.

As a result, when he chose to come out, his peers regarded him as the “only gay in the Formula One village”. While Bishop was confident that he was not the only one, he believes that such was the discomfort that people like him faced to come out and freely express themselves.

After revealing the same, Bishop then explained how times have changed in today’s generation. The journalist believes that many of the younger drivers like Kevin Magnussen, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Nyck de Vries never cared about him being gay.

In fact, Bishop revealed that the trio also met his husband, Angel, and not once did they seem fazed when they saw two men being married to one another. Bishop then concluded his remarks by explaining how even big companies like Liberty Media now have to be more careful with their stance on the LGBTQ+ community for commercial reasons.

Bishop believes that as more and more drivers have begun to voice their support for the LGBTQ+ community, bigger corporations have no choice but to promote diversity and inclusion in their organizations. The Briton pointed out that if these companies do not do so, then people will “wonder why” they are hesitant to showcase their support.

ANTHONY JOSHUA blasted Tyson Fury in a blistering rant just hours after his obliteration of Francis Ngannou.

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion knocked the MMA man mountain out cold in the second round of their crossover clash in Saudi Arabia early on Saturday morning.

AJ’s demolition of Ngannou has put him on course for a long overdue Battle of Britain with The Gypsy King, who was ringside for the Riyadh rumble.

But he wasn’t in the mood for discussing a domestic dust-up with the WBC heavyweight champion due to his pre-fight putdowns of himself and Ngannou.

The fired-up Watford warrior told iFL TV: “F**k Tyson Fury.

“I don’t like trash-talking people, but I heard him say, ‘Oh, I’m here to do commentary about these two sausages.’

    “Or something like that.

“Bro, that guy that I fought and that he fought is an ex-UFC heavyweight champion [and has] a phenomenal story and someone who has changed their life around.

“[He’s] just too disrespectful. So forget anything about him right now.”

Before Joshua can think of sharing the ring with Fury, he must first wait for his Brit rival to have back-to-back undisputed heavyweight title fights with Oleksandr Usyk.

A fight between Joshua and Fury will arguably be the biggest in the history of British boxing, a fact promoter Eddie Hearn is well aware of.

Speaking moments after Joshua’s third successive KO, the Matchroom Boxing chief said: “I’m so proud of him because there was a huge amount of pressure.

“If we won this fight then he would fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk.

“You’re looking at the No1 heavyweight in the world.

“Tyson Fury please beat Usyk because you will get the biggest fight in the history of the sport.

“As a fighter, he’s an inspiration to young people.

“What I said would happen, happened. He destroyed Francis Ngannou.

“He’s a beast and I cannot wait for him to beat Tyson Fury.”

Fury, 35, was sat alongside wife Paris as AJ knocked the former UFC heavyweight champion out cold with a brutal overhand right in the second round of their Saudi showdown.

And he was seemingly fired up as he made his way to leave the Kingdom Arena.

The WBC heavyweight champion was filmed backstage bemoaning the fact someone he’d had an interaction with had disappeared.

He said: “Has f***ed off, the useless c**t.”

It’s unknown who the furious Fury was talking about in the video, which has spread like wildfire on social media.

Boxing fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “He’s rattled. He knows the jig is up.”

Another said: “Fury feeling the pressure.”

And another said: “Rattled when the cameras were off him.”

Joshua, 34, did his part to get a Battle of Britain between himself and Fury back on track with his destruction of Ngannou.

Fury must now register back-to-back wins over Oleksandr Usyk in their undisputed fights later this year to ensure the fight happens.

He said: “I’m sure Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say something about that.

“I had a s*** performance against Ngannou. AJ did absolutely fantastic and lit him up with a right hand.

“If he fights me after I beat Usyk twice then it will be a different game.”

Joshua, however, refused to be drawn on a historic domestic dust-up with his long-time rival, telling iFL TV: “F**k Tyson Fury.”

Joshua, 34, knocked the former UFC heavyweight champion out cold in the second round with a hellacious overhand right moments after a beautiful knockdown that came courtesy of a right-hand left-hook combination.

Attention has now turned to who AJ will face next following his demolition of Ngannou, with fans clamouring for him to fight Brit rival Tyson Fury.

But The Gypsy King has the small matter of undisputed and unified title fights with former pound-for-pound king Oleksandr Usyk to think about before the long-overdue Battle of Britain can come to fruition.

Former two-time unified champion Joshua could very well choose to sit and wait for the winner of the Fury vs Usyk series.

But given the fact he’s found his groove with four fights in 11 months, it’s likely he won’t want to sit and twiddle his thumbs on the sidelines.

So with that in mind, SunSport thought it’d only be right to reveal the five fighters in contention to be his next opponent.

The IBF are set to mandate the winner of Fury and Usyk’s May 18 melee to defend the belt against the Croat, although that fight won’t come to fruition as the pair are contractually obliged to have back-to-back bouts.

That means the winner of Fury vs Usyk is set to be STRIPPED of the title for Hrgovic to vie for it.
Joshua blasts ‘f*** Tyson Fury’ after overhearing rival’s commentary on DAZN for Francis Ngannou
Joshua is ranked No3 in the IBF rankings, meaning the IBF will order Hrgovic to fight him for the brown belt should they decide to relieve either Fury or Usyk of the strap.

    Joseph Parker

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker has well and truly rebuilt himself following his crushing loss to Joe Joyce in September 2022.

The Kiwi has rattled off five wins on the bounce, including one of former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

His decision win over China’s Zhilei Zhang – in which he claimed the interim WBO title – has proved he’s not the spent force many thought he was nearly two years ago.

So if AJ wants a good test to keep himself sharp, a rematch with Parker – who he beat six years ago – would make perfect sense.

    Dillian Whyte

AJ was set to renew his rivalry with Dillian Whyte last August before the Brixton Body Snatcher tested positive for a banned substance for the third time in his career.

Whyte – who maintained his innocence from the get-go – was recently cleared of any wrongdoing by the Texas Department of Licencing and Regulation

Provided he wins his fight against Christian Hammer next weekend, and, more importantly, gets cleared by the British Boxing Board of Control to compete, he could potentially be in line for a third showdown with Joshua.

    Daniel Dubois

Another domestic dust-up potentially in the offing for Joshua is one with Daniel Dubois.

Triple D is set to fill the Brit heavyweight void when Joshua and Fury eventually call it a day – despite his ups and downs.

The 26-year-old came up short in his first world title fight with Usyk last August but bounced back from that defeat with a sensational stoppage of Jarrell Miller a few months later.

Dubois still has a long way to go to put himself back in the orbit of a world title but would be a more than satisfactory opponent for AJ to keep himself busy with.

A domestic dust-up with Daniel Dubois could also be in the offing

    Deontay Wilder

Vicious knockout artist Wilder was supposed to have been the man standing opposite Joshua this weekend for the first of what would have been a two-fight series.

But the former long-reigning WBC champ blew their £100million bouts with a stinker of a performance against Parker in Riyadh last December.

Fight fans around the world mourned the loss of one of the biggest grudge matches in the sport after Parker had his hand raised.

But Joshua has refused to close the door on sharing the ring with the American – a statement which will be music to the ears of The Bronze Bomber.

Ngannou, 37, came into only his second boxing bout having floored Fury, 35, on his debut only to lose a controversial decision.

But White – who saw the Cameroonian walk out on the UFC to pursue boxing – was not surprised to see order restored in the ring.

He said: “If Fury trained for the fight and didn’t show up looking like he ate Tyson Fury, that’s probably the way that fight would’ve ended too.

“Listen, you know how I feel about the crossovers in boxing – that’s how they end, just like that.”

Ngannou signed for UFC rivals the Professional Fighters League, who permitted his switch to boxing.

It leaves his MMA future up in the air but the heavyweight star insisted his business in the ring is not over yet.

Ngannou said: “You can be sure I’m not done here. It was not my day.

“He was way better than me. It sucks, but it’s the game. We all know that.”

Joshua embraced with Ngannou moments after the stunning KO and even urged him to remain in boxing.

He said: “You’re an inspiration. ‘You’ll beat a lot of people. Don’t leave boxing. Don’t leave boxing.”

Joshua, 34, then added: “If you need anything, let me know, but we’ll speak another time.”

He started off with a run along Morecambe beach before sharing his healthy breakfast of oats, bananas and blueberries.

Fury then had a coffee before heading off to church to pray.

In a separate video posted to his Instagram account, the WBC champion showed off his stunning green 4×4 Lamborghini.

Wife Paris asks: “What are you doing?”

Fury then said: “I ain’t got no time to waste, Paris. I’m in quite a rush. Business to attend. Laters.”

He then sped off out of his drive in the super-car, which appears to be a Lamborghini Urus, worth nearly £200,000.

Fury has a passion for fast cars with his collection including two Rolls-Royces and a Ferrari GTC4Lusso worth around £250,000.

But he has always reminded fans that his easy to drive Passat is among the favourites on his driveway.

Fury then revealed the boot of his car – not clear whether it was the Lambo or not – was full of rubbish.

He said: “After a good bit of training in the morning and a breakfast, big man’s got to go to the tip and do his duties.”

Tyson Fury hits back at Eddie Hearn’s claims Anthony Joshua is best heavyweight in world and vows to make fight happen
Fury, 35, is back training for his undisputed title decider with Oleksandr Usyk, 37, on May 18 and Paris has been given the job of wife-turned-chef.

He showed off his clean lunch before saying: “Right it’s that time of a day again, I’ve got chicken and rice got a Greek salad and a bottle of water.

“Healthy eating, cannot wait until the fight, ten weeks just under, come on!”

Fury and Paris were in Saudi Arabia to watch brother Roman pick up a win on Anthony Joshua’s undercard.

AJ knocked out ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, 37, who dropped Fury but lost on his boxing debut in October.

And Fury has vowed to set up a Battle of Britain with Joshua, 34, once he completes his two-fight series with Usyk.

He said: “Congratulations to Joshua, but listen we all know styles make fights and Eddie Hearn’s shouting he’s the best heavyweight in the world, we know he’s not.

“He’s already been beaten by Usyk twice and I’ve got to deal with that problem for him.

“So after I’ve done that – twice – and if he’s still available, we’ll get it on. Get it on like Donkey Kong!”
