Insights into Lewis Hamilton’s Mood Behind the Scenes at Mercedes Amid Team Struggles

Toto Wolff has commended Lewis Hamilton for his professionalism even if he is still having trouble in his last season with Mercedes. The Silver Arrows are still struggling in the new F1 regulations, as Hamilton is now lingering in ninth place in the drivers’ standings and has yet to finish on the podium this year.

However, the 39-year-old will leave the squad at the end of the 2024 season after finalizing a contract to join Ferrari. Toto Wolff, the principal of the Mercedes team, claims that although Hamilton has presented a dejected image on several occasions this year, the seven-time world champion is still an inspiration behind the scenes.

“I believe Lewis is a pro and has acted in that manner up until now, attempting to maintain his and the team’s morale even in the absence of results,” he remarked. “I’m positive that this will endure. He has also offered George support.”

At the moment, Hamilton is 14 points and two positions behind his younger colleague. The two are presently 143 points behind leaders Red Bull in the constructors’ standings, where they are in fourth.

Hamilton also suggested that it would be counterproductive to plan for 2025. “I’m a competitor first and foremost, so I want to win,” he continued. It won’t assist me to only worry about the upcoming year.”

His final Grand Prix victory was in December 2021 at Saudi Arabia, amid his controversial fight for the world championship with Max Verstappen. Since then, Mercedes has only won once, in Brazil the following year when Russell achieved his lone Formula One triumph.

Wolff has often stated he won’t be pressured into making a snap choice, but he has yet to choose Hamilton’s replacement for the upcoming campaign. The team’s next chance to improve will be this weekend in Miami, where Verstappen and Red Bull are once again anticipated to rule, with the Dutchman taking home the titles in 2022 and 2023.

Furious F1 Drivers & F1 Teams Slam New Rule Changes After Leaked Conversation!

Frustration is mounting in the Formula 1 community following the leak of a conversation revealing dissatisfaction with new rule changes. Drivers and teams alike have expressed their anger over the perceived shortcomings of the regulations, sparking a wave of criticism and debate.

The leaked conversation, which captured candid discussions among drivers and team representatives, has shed light on the growing discontent within the sport. Participants voiced concerns about various aspects of the new rules, ranging from technical specifications to race format changes.

Drivers, in particular, have been vocal in their criticism, citing concerns about the impact of the regulations on the competitiveness and safety of the sport. Many feel that the changes fail to address fundamental issues and may even exacerbate existing problems.

F1 teams have also weighed in on the matter, expressing frustration over what they perceive as a lack of consultation and transparency in the rule-making process. Some teams have even hinted at potential legal action to challenge the new regulations.

The leaked conversation has reignited debate within the F1 community and sparked calls for greater collaboration and communication between stakeholders. As the sport grapples with the fallout from the leaked revelations, all eyes will be on how officials respond to the growing discontent and whether any changes will be made to address the concerns raised by drivers and teams.

  • Lewis Hamilton Identifies the Turning Point Where He Disproved Toto Wolff’s Doubts at Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton Identifies the Turning Point Where He Disproved Toto Wolff’s Doubts at Mercedes

At the end of the 2024 season, Lewis Hamilton will quit Mercedes. It was revealed in the beginning of February that he will join Ferrari in 2025.

This is undoubtedly the largest driver move in Formula One history. Indeed, Hamilton’s decision to join the sport’s most legendary team marks the end of the most successful relationship in history.

When he joined the Silver Arrows in 2013, he had already won one world title. His time with McLaren peaked with his 2008 victory, but otherwise it was a story of what could have been.

But between 2014 and 2020, he won six of seven global championships. No driver had ever won more than five races wearing the same colours.

While he continues to pursue a record ninth title, he is on his own in other categories. He leads the all-time list in race victories (103) and pole positions (104).

However, his Mercedes term is not finishing as he had intended. The 39-year-old has had his worst start to a season, as his squad has slid from behind Red Bull to the front of the midfield.

Three years after his last triumph at the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there is substantial concern over whether he will be able to cap his career with a last victory for the team. Toto Wolff, team principal, insists he is still in unusually good spirits.

Behind the scenes, Wolff feels betrayed by Hamilton’s departure. And the Englishman is ‘weary’ of waiting for a breakthrough.

The Mercedes head has previously stated that the timing of the decision startled him the most. However, with each race, Hamilton looks to get more clairvoyant.

Lewis Hamilton discusses the moment when he had to be’very careful’ with Mercedes

Hamilton spoke with French source Nextgen-Auto about one of his greatest performances, the 2018 Singapore Grand Prix. The Briton would win the title with two races to spare that year, but Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari threatened to end his reign.

Mercedes appeared to be suffering during a crucial weekend at Marina Bay. Both Ferrari and Red Bull appeared to have an advantage.

However, in Q3, Hamilton drove what is largely regarded as an all-time great performance, beating Max Verstappen to pole position by more than three tenths. He went on to win the race by just under nine seconds, with Vettel finishing third.

Hamilton recalls upsetting key Mercedes figures, including the late Niki Lauda, by attending a fashion event in New York the week before the race. But he firmly suppressed their misgivings.

He stated, “It’s not ideal preparation for a racing weekend. So you need to be really cautious about that. People told me, ‘Oh, he’s not focused.’ But I wasn’t out late partying and drinking like that.”

“When I landed in Singapore, I completed one of the best laps I’ve ever done. And then everyone said, ‘Oh, he can do that.’ Even Niki warned Toto, ‘You can’t let Lewis do that!’ That is not what a racecar driver does! “I proved them wrong.”

Lewis Hamilton prepared to make the Ferrari move

Hamilton is now seeking to finish his career by breaking Ferrari’s title drought, which dates back to 2007. To do so, he must defeat Charles Leclerc, and perspectives differ on the difficulty he faces.

Mika Hakkinen believes Leclerc, a five-time race winner in his own right, might cause Hamilton trouble. However, former Formula One driver Robert Doornboss has cautioned that he is ‘too kind’ to win a title fight against his senior teammate.

According to a Ferrari insider, the squad will rally around their new recruit in the same way as Michael Schumacher did. Leclerc will have to deal with the possibly seismic shift at Maranello.

Hamilton may arrive despite external uncertainties, like he did in Singapore six years ago. Mark Webber believes Ferrari may have regretted replacing the in-form Carlos Sainz with a struggling driver.

Despite having a difficult year, the Mercedes driver has shown moments of brilliance. Most notably, he performed what Nico Rosberg described as a’magical’ lap in the Shanghai downpour to qualify second for the Sprint.

Max went shirtless in light grey swimming shorts and certainly appeared to be having fun as he dove into the ocean at one point.

It comes after his father Jos hinted his son could walk away from Formula One after claiming the Dutchman is ‘a bit done with everything’ after his record-breaking season as champion.

Verstappen eased his way to a second straight title after winning 15 of the 22 races to claim a record-breaking 454 points – 146 ahead of nearest challenger Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari.

Hot stuff: She exhibited her jaw-dropping figure in an asymmetrical cream bikini

Out of this world: Kelly accessorised with a delicate chain necklace along with a pair of chunky gold hoop earrings

Incredible: Kelly caused onlookers to gawk and point as she strutted out of the sea

It compares to a much more challenging 2021 campaign where Lewis Hamilton went toe-to-toe with the 25-year-old all the way to the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

The Red Bull driver retained his F1 crown in style this year as Ferrari’s challenge failed to materialise after a promising start.

Jos, who drove for teams including Benetton, Tyrrell and Arrows during his own F1 career, revealed that his son is happy to have a break from the track.

He told Viaplay, as per the Mirror: ‘He’s just a bit done with everything now. Especially when you have won the championship, then the pressure is off and it becomes less exciting.

‘For Max, I think it was just important that he broke that record with those wins. I think that’s the most important thing.’

Despite his need for rest, the elder Verstappen has already turned thoughts to next season and believes it will be a much closer championship for his son in 2023.

He added: ‘To be honest, I do think it will all be a bit closer next year – that is also the intention of these regulations. I don’t mind. Good battles on track and a good championship until the end would be fantastic.’

After extending his record for most race wins in a season, 2022 also saw financial rewards for Verstappen according to Forbes.

So much so, he is now the sport’s biggest earner when you combine both his £33.2 million salary and the £16.6 million he earned in bonuses, leapfrogging Lewis Hamilton.

  • Red Bull will ‘sink into MEDIOCRITY’ if Adrian Newey leaves the embattled constructor claims Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf

Red Bull will ‘sink into MEDIOCRITY’ if Adrian Newey leaves the embattled constructor claims Michael Schumacher’s brother Ralf

Ralf Schumacher has suggested that Red Bull will ‘sink into mediocrity’ within two seasons after claiming that the embattled constructor is ‘falling apart’ after a turbulent start to the 2024 season.

Formula One was rocked last week when news broke that chief technology officer Adrian Newey is reportedly considering moving away from the team, which he joined just a year after its debut in 2005.

Newey is widely considered the mastermind behind the constructor’s riotous success, which has seen the team’s star driver Max Verstappen claim three consecutive world championships since 2021, and the constructor win the championship in 2022 and 2023.

The legendary designer is contracted with Red Bull until the end of the 2025 season, and Newey has not yet publicly commented, but reports over the weekend suggested that the two parties held showdown talks to discuss his future.

The potential loss of Newey’s technical acumen would likely prove seismic for the team, which Schumacher – who previously called for team principal Christian Horner to resign – underscored on Monday.

Adrian Newey is reportedly set to call time on his 18-year stint at embattled team Red Bull

The legendary designer is thought to have held ‘showdown’ talks with the team (pictured with principal Christian Horner)

Ralf Schumacher offered a bleak prognosis of the future without their chief technology officer

‘Adrian Newey needs harmony, he needs a good atmosphere, a good workplace,’ the brother of seven-time world champion Michael told Sky Sports Germany.

‘And at the moment, you have to say clearly: Red Bull is falling apart.’

The English-based team has been at the centre of swirling controversy in the wake of an internal investigation into the conduct of its principal Christian Horner – which, despite the husband of Geri Halliwell being cleared of the allegations, shows no sign of abating.

The female employee involved in the investigation has since launched an appeal into the verdict, and gave evidence to the newly appointed KC last week.

There has been no suggestion that the appeal is tied to Newey’s reported decision, but Schumacher claimed that blame for his looming exit should be levelled at Horner.

‘The sole responsibility for this lies with Christian Horner, who is holding onto power with all his might,’ Schumacher added.

Star driver Max Verstappen has been linked with moves away from his team amid the chaos

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff is thought to be preparing a bumper offer for the driver

‘I don’t think that will be the last problem he will have when Adrian Newey leaves him. Max Verstappen is already thinking about it too, as is Dr. Helmut Marko, if you watch him like that.’

World champion Verstappen has been unwilling to be drawn on the topic of chaos at his constructor since the start of the season, and has since been linked to a move away from Red Bull despite his contract set to run until 2028.

The Dutchman is thought to be in the process of being targeted by Mercedes, who are preparing to replace outgoing driver Lewis Hamilton at the end of the season.

Team principal Toto Wolff is reportedly gearing up to offer Verstappen a deal worth a staggering £128million per season, including bonuses.

But even if Verstappen does stay at the Milton Keynes-based constructor, Schumacher insisted the team’s prognosis is a negative one without Newey.

‘We remember last year when there were problems,’ he said.

‘(Newey) was ill once and then you immediately saw what was going on with Red Bull. Max Verstappen had difficulties.’

‘If he wants to continue (working), he has to be free. Otherwise, of course, he will still be blocked and won’t be able to work for a new team (if he breaks his contract and has to take gardening leave).

Schumacher has been levelled the blame for Newey’s possible departure at the door of Horner

‘I give Red Bull two more years and if they continue to hold on to Horner, the team will sink into mediocrity. I’m pretty sure of that.’

Newey is known as one of the greatest designers in Formula 1 history, winning 13 World Championship titles – six constructors’ crowns and seven for drivers – throughout his storied career.

Just five races into the season, on the track it appears to be business as usual for the exceedingly dominant Red Bull team.

Verstappen leads the drivers’ standings by an impressive 25 points, and the constructors’ by 44.

  • Christian Horner loses Red Bull mastermind Adrian Newey as world champions confirm he will leave in major blow to the team… with move to Ferrari and joining Lewis Hamilton edging closer

Christian Horner loses Red Bull mastermind Adrian Newey as world champions confirm he will leave in major blow to the team… with move to Ferrari and joining Lewis Hamilton edging closer

Adrian Newey is understood to have held talks with Ferrari this week after being released from his Red Bull contract early — a departure that was confirmed by the world championship-winning team on Wednesday.

A move to Italy would bring Formula One’s most successful designer into partnership with Lewis Hamilton, who is joining the Scuderia from Mercedes next year.

The Newey deal has yet to be done, but well-informed contacts suggest Ferrari want the 65-year-old to act as their ‘super consultant’. He currently earns £15million a year and could double his salary.

It is expected he would start in time to have a pivotal hand in the development of the next generation of Ferrari cars ahead of a major revamp of the regulations in 2026.

Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport reported Newey spoke to Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur in London on Tuesday — a story indicated to be correct to Mail Sport. We can further reveal that several key F1 figures were in London this week, including Red Bull managing director Oliver Mintzlaff.

Red Bull have confirmed the imminent departure of F1’s most successful designer Adrian Newey

Team chief Christian Horner (pictured with wife Geri Halliwell) will have to do without the mastermind behind Red Bull’s design

Newey is a legendary F1 designer and could take his services to Ferrari after his departure

Newey’s exit is an evident blow to Red Bull and embattled boss Christian Horner, the team principal who brought Newey from McLaren to Red Bull nearly 20 years ago. They have since won seven drivers’ titles in two stints together, through Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.

Newey will continue to attend races with Red Bull this season, including in Miami this weekend. He is due to travel there in Horner’s jet today.

Newey will still work on his beloved RB17 supercar project before leaving the company next spring.

Red Bull insist Newey’s departure is not directly linked to the 𝑠e𝑥 scandal that has engulfed the team since allegations of coercive behaviour were made against Horner by a female employee in February, but driven by growing resentment at how he has been less than fully credited for the team’s success. He was on the brink of resigning last year, too, but instead accepted an improved offer.

The scandal — which has seen Horner, 50, cleared in an internal investigation, subject to an ongoing appeal — stirred the pot further.

It is understood Newey felt Horner was grabbing too much of the limelight and that credit for his own input was being unevenly shared with his French design colleague Pierre Wache.

Horner paid tribute to ‘true legend’ and ‘friend’ Newey as the world champions confirmed his exit

The Red Bull chief, who has won seven world championships with Newey, paid tribute to the outgoing veteran

Newey is thought to believe credit is being too unevenly taken by the constructor’s chief engineer of performance engineering Pierre Wache

Newey could now be set to join Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in his bid to win an eighth world title

Newey’s upcoming availability is a massive boost to Hamilton, 39, as he seeks a record eighth title, this time in red.

Newey is the greatest technical guru Formula One has ever known, having triumphed with Williams, starting with Nigel Mansell’s 1992 championship-dominating car, and McLaren, before being poached by Red Bull. In all, the nerdish genius is behind an eye-watering 25 drivers’ and constructors’ titles.

I understand Newey will either join Ferrari — the most likely eventuality — or retire. There is no other team that he would imaginably join.

  • Beckham was angry when Tom Cruise exposed his cheating story to maintain youthfulness

Beckham was angry when Tom Cruise exposed his cheating story to maintain youthfulness

In March, Ryan Gosling attracted attention when he appeared at the premiere of the movie The Fall Guy with a smooth, shiny face that was different from his usual angular appearance.

At that time, the audience suspected that The Notebook star had injected filler into her cheeks to get a more youthful appearance.

Gary Motykie, Medical Director and owner of Motykie Med Spa in Los Angeles (USA), is one of those who believes Ryan used non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

Mr. Motykie explained to Daily Mail that part of the reason fillers are sought after by stars today is due to rapid weight loss.

According to experts, losing weight causes the face to become smaller, with some people looking haggard, and even gaining weight cannot regain the same face.

“I see more and more patients coming in asking for fillers because they have lost weight quickly and want to regain fullness in their faces.

Sometimes it’s because of the weight loss drug Ozempic, sometimes it’s just because of the diet,” he said.

Dr. Motykie stated that based on many years of experience, the La La Land actor is not the only celebrity who gets filler injections.

Tom Cruise is one of the names mentioned. In 2021, the actor born in 1962 caused a stir with his unusually puffy face in the stands of a basketball match in San Francisco, California.

Doctor Motykie analyzed that at that time, Tom had just finished filming Top Gun: Maverick (released in 2022). To get his impressively toned body, Tom is said to have followed a diet that included only 1,200 calories.

“When people lose weight, they feel better and their bodies look better. But when they are in their 30s, 40s and 50s, their faces do not recover as well as when they were younger, they look haggard, so they turn to filler injections to improve them,” the expert pointed out.

Similarly, Daniel Craig participated in an extreme weight loss program no less than 5 times to play British spy James Bond. Like Tom, he lost his ideal face. However, according to Dr. Motykie, from around 2018 onwards, Craig’s face seemed to magically swell in the cheek area.

Cosmetic experts say fillers can initially make the face appear puffy and unusually tight, but this will subside within a few days to a few weeks as the body adapts and inflammation subsides. For a while, the face looked weak. Many stars choose to hide during this time, but some have to reluctantly reveal themselves to the public.

In 2023, at the UK premiere of the Beckham documentary, David Beckham was commented to have a much fuller face.

Dr. Motykie believes that the former football player’s face may have become thinner due to losing weight to take many fashion photos. After that, he turned to fillers to regain his form.

The cosmetic expert is also almost certain that Zac Efron has injected fillers into his face. However, in this case, the puffy face people see in late 2023 is also likely due to hormone or testosterone injections.

Previously, Zac admitted that he had to have surgery due to a broken jaw in 2021, resulting in his face becoming different.

  • Bekcham laughed when asked about Ollie Palmer – who is said to be his clone, “He’s not on the same level.”

Bekcham laughed when asked about Ollie Palmer – who is said to be his clone, “He’s not on the same level.”

Wrexham star Ollie Palmer was compared to style icon David Beckham and has been backed to earn up to £250,000 by trying his luck in modelling.

Since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took charge of the club in November 2020, the Welsh outfit has been in the spotlight and their on-field successes,

including securing successive promotions to reach League One ahead of the 2024-25 season, have opened doors for commercial opportunity for the players off the field.

One such player basking in newfound fame is Palmer who is set for a cameo appearance in the upcoming Marvel film, “Deadpool & Wolverine” with his club’s co-owner at the helm.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede attributes the players’ enhanced visibility and earning potential to the influence of the A-list owners and the popularity of the docuseries “Welcome To Wrexham.”

Nick told The Sun: “Ryan and Rob have made a massive impact, all eyeballs have been on the club because of them and their huge TV show.

It’s enabled them to give a voice to the players but also gifted them a bigger following, meaning players can get other big opportunities. We have seen Ollie get a cameo or an extra role in the new Marvel film but that’s just the beginning. Some of the standout stars will make a lot of money from endorsements and deals.”

From securing lucrative endorsement deals to venturing into the world of modelling, players are poised to leverage their celebrity status for financial gain. Palmer’s cameo in a major Hollywood production and the launch of his own brand, WXM Clothing, underscore the vast opportunities that lie beyond the football pitch for Wrexham’s rising stars.

Crucially, Reynolds and McElhenney’s endorsement of WXM Clothing on social media platforms, boasting a collective following of nearly 54 million, amplifies Palmer’s visibility and sets the stage for further commercial success.

Nick believes that Palmer’s trajectory mirrors that of iconic figures like Beckham and added: “Having the guys wearing Ollie’s actual brand is a great way of endorsing what he does and will definitely help him to build his brand. He is one of the players who ticks every box and is a star in the making, whether he carries on in Hollywood, who knows, but I suspect he will be endorsing lots of different things. I can see him doing modelling and it could lead to him becoming a bit like David Beckham.”

Palmer’s multifaceted talents and growing celebrity status position him as a potential trailblazer in the realm of football and entertainment. With endorsements, modelling contracts, and other opportunities on the horizon, Nick opined that the player could “up to £250,000” as he grows substantially in the fashion market.

“Ollie is someone brands are going to want to jump on now while his star is on the rise because he will make money for them and will be loyal to them. But also he will make a lot of money for himself,” he said.

“I could see someone like Ollie, who is a rugged, sexy man, doing an aftershave or a fragrance launch, which could demand good fees of around £100,000 up to £250,000 as he becomes a bigger star.”

How much does Beckham receive after participating in eyeglasses advertising?

Italian eyewear house Safilo Group and American brand management company Authentic Brands Group have signed a perpetual licence agreement for David Beckham Eyewear.

The new agreement substitutes the previous contract due to expire at the end of 2030, allowing Safilo to continue overseeing the entire value chain.

The contract covers the management of the design process, creatively led by former football superstar David Beckham, as well as the production and global distribution.

As reported, the ex-England captain entered into a ten-year licensing deal with Safilo in 2019 and debuted his eyewear collection, which he designed in partnership with the eyewear group, in 2020.

Beckham closely collaborates with the Safilo design team to create a comprehensive collection of sunglasses and optical frames, the eyewear group noted.

Since the partnership started, Safilo has annually released the brand’s Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections.

Safilo said that David Beckham Eyewear has been globally popular for its designs, featuring what it describes as effortless British sophistication and stylish silhouettes, with refined details including the distinctive Talisman.

The Talisman detail is inspired by the wings of a bird, a symbol of power, protection and freedom, and is visible from the front and the side of the eyewear, alongside a DB monogram lasered on the lens.

Safilo Group CEO Angelo Trocchia said: “We started 2024 with significant news on our licensed portfolio, with the early renewal of some of our most important partnerships. This new agreement now marks another milestone within our strategy.

“By transforming David Beckham into a perpetual licence, we secure another cornerstone of our portfolio with one of the most successful eyewear brands of recent years.

“Since the beginning of our fruitful collaboration in 2019, we have always offered our customers and final consumers high-quality collections, which have grown the Eyewear by David Beckham collection to become a top male brand in the global premium segment and a great force in Safilo’s digital universe thanks to David’s global audience.

“We will continue to work together to further maximise the brand awareness and its global penetration.”

David Beckham added: “I continue to look forward to more years of creation and innovation with the fantastic team at Safilo. I am so proud of what we have achieved since our first Eyewear by David Beckham collection in 2020, which is down to the hard work and collaboration with a brilliant and creative team.

“While continuing to focus on developing standout styles, I am excited to see where we will take the business in the future.” ✈
