  • Tyson DESTROYED him in 15 Seconds! Not For The Faint Hearted…

Tyson DESTROYED him in 15 Seconds! Not For The Faint Hearted…

Mike Tyson was once the baddest man alive and for a reason! There were many that wanted to stand in his way to the top and he absolutely DESTROYED every single one of them in only seconds! Today we take a look at a prime Mike Tyson’s best performances.

‘I try not to get mad anymore’ – Mike Tyson offers insight into new mindset

Mike Tyson is a changed man. The Baddest Man on the Planet moniker looks to be a thing of the past for the ex-undisputed heavyweight champion.

Adopting his old nickname for a recent exhibition return against Roy Jones Jr. – Mike Tyson has firmly put it back to bed.

The once ‘Iron’ man of the sport, Tyson’s latest musings prove his life has gone from off the rails to newfound tranquility.

Whether his cannabis farm has anything to do with that, well, you’ll have to ask the man himself.

“When we’re born, there’s only a certain amount of time we have until we die,” said Tyson. “The question then becomes, what are you going to do with this time?

“In life, making mistakes is inevitable. But I learned that those same mistakes would later become the blueprint of success in our life.

“I ended up realizing that if anyone makes me mad, they own me. So, I try not to get mad anymore,” Tyson added.

    MIKE TYSON RETIRED

Those poignant words come on the back of Tyson, stating he will never again step between the ropes to punch another opponent.

After a draw with Jones in 2020, his time is up after dealing with a company he claims still hasn’t paid him.

“I’m not even interested in doing this stuff,” he said with the Nelk Boys on Full Send Podcast. “It was just fun at first. If it was back when I first started, yes.

“We were both fighting on the same card and both active. Yeah, we could do it. But, it just turned, it just turned bad. It didn’t turn out right.

“Every, they say it’s 10, but it’s like every twelve, or thirteen months, boom, something’s missing. Like something’s missing.

“I’m losing muscle mass. Boom, it’s something. It’s always something different. And I don’t know. Guys want to fight me for a hundred million bucks.

“I don’t think I’ll ever do stuff like that anymore.

“I wanted to do it the first time just for fun to have fun. Then some people took it to another level and made it financial. Then the fun went out of it,” he concluded.

Fans worried about Tyson Fury as new footage released ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight

Boxing fans are worried for Tyson Fury after training footage emerged online ahead of his blockbuster fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury meets Usyk in a big undisputed showdown on May 18 following the postponement of their February clash.

The WBC, WBA (super), WBO and IBF world heavyweight titles will be on the line when the two heavyweight stars collide in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fury is back in training camp after a nasty cut forced him to withdraw last month.

Footage of the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ in preparation for his fight against Usyk has surfaced online.

And fight fans are concerned for the unbeaten British star, who went through his paces in a strength and conditioning session. Check it out below:

The clip shows him on sled pushes and performing squats, leaving people on social media unimpressed.

One X user wrote: “Oh crap he looks awful. Please let him beat Usyk.”

A second tweeted: “That is genuinely some of the least impressive jumping up and down I’ve ever seen.”

A third added: “He looks like it’s first ever time in a gym every time.”

Another commented: “He jumps up and down like a toddler.”

Fury hasn’t fought since his underwhelming victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou last October.

He beat Dereck Chisora in the last defence of his WBC title as he looks collect the other three belts in the division.

If he beats Usyk, then an all-British showdown against Anthony Joshua could be next.

Joshua brutally stopped Ngannou earlier this month, but his victory didn’t impress Fury.

“I’m still dismissive of him,” he said. “AJ’s made to measure for me. Just because he knocked out Francis Ngannou – it’s not the same. He couldn’t land any of those rights on Usyk, a way smaller and lighter man. Styles make fights and his style is made for me.”

When Mike Tyson DESTROYED Cocky Fighters For Being Disrespectful!

Today we will be watching all of the boxing fights where Mike Tyson destroyed opponents that acted cocky and arrogant towards him. TRUST US these fights will be unforgettable.

The rise, fall, and resurrection of ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson

World Boxing News charts the rise, fall, and resurrection of Mike Tyson from the youngest heavyweight champion and convicted felon to an actor and podcast host.

Tyson grew up in the tough neighborhood of Catskill, New York. Getting involved in gangs, Tyson was going off the rails until getting introduced to the great Cus D’Amato.

An astute boxing coach, D’Amato took Tyson under his wing and molded him into a stone-cold killer in the ring.

Embarking on one of the most stunning runs of wins ever known from a rising professional boxer, Tyson claimed the top division crown at 20.

As a celebrity icon in the 1980s, Tyson ruled all of boxing for a destructive five-year spell. That’s until one fateful night in Tokyo ended it all.

James ‘Buster’ Douglas knocked out the undisputed champion, embroiled in a world of turmoil and mental pain by this time.

The planet watched in shock as one of the biggest upsets in history went down in controversial circumstances.

    Mike Tyson’s first loss

Tyson seemed to have stopped Douglas earlier in the fight. Although a slow count ended those chances, the contest continued until the unfathomable conclusion.

A spell in prison and an alleged rape followed before Tyson briefly returned to the heights he once enjoyed despite not being the same physically.

From his return in 1995, though, the decade that transpired was a mere shadow of what we witnessed when Tyson became the youngest world heavyweight title holder in history.

Had it not been for the spiraling, who knows whether the New Yorker could ever have been stopped when at full capacity.

A string of losses towards the end of his career and substance abuse problems led Tyson down a dark path in the 2000s. Tyson’s last two encounters – both shocking losses – are a terrible blotch of the ending to one of the greatest boxing careers of all time.

He subsequently ballooned in weight and retreated into his world for years.

Emerging a couple of times for acting jobs, Tyson was no longer the superstar celebrity he once was. As the years progressed, Tyson began to lose weight, and coupled with more movie and TV appearances, a new Tyson emerged.

His hunger for life returned as he began a new podcast called ‘HotBoxin with Mike Tyson’ – which took off. It sees the ex-fighter rub shoulders with some of the most famous people in the world.

    Comeback

In a good place with mind and body, Tyson aimed to get closure for his ring career in 2020. He wanted to leave the ring on his terms.

‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ was back at 53, and alongside Roy Jones Jr., Tyson proved he could still cut it in the ring after all these years.

Posting viral clips on social media, Tyson still had an abundance of old lightning-fast speed and reflexes. During a worldwide pandemic, Tyson became the biggest name in the sport.

Thanks to his reactions, which are unreal, Tyson posted six-punch onslaughts that had the world talking. Not to mention a punch that almost took his training partner’s head off.

That was evidence enough that Tyson was ready for the exhibitions he craved. One against Jones may still become two in the future.

But Having been out of action for 15 years, it was great to see the old Mike Tyson back.

As is the tradition, the national anthems of the winning driver and team are played during the podium ceremony. Lately, the Dutch and the Austrian anthem have become the usual podium tunes. That is because of the dominant partnership between Max Verstappen and Red Bull. The Dutchman, however, is not getting sick of hearing the same anthems over and over again week after week.

Verstappen recently joined Daniel Ricciardo for an interview with The Project. When the interviewer jokingly asked him if he was sick of hearing the Dutch anthem, Verstappen gave an equally hilarious reply. He said, “I’ve heard the British and the German one way too much. So, I’m very happy to hear the Dutch one.”

Verstappen was perhaps referring to the years in which Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton dominated. The German won four consecutive championships between 2010 and 2013. The Briton then followed it up with six years of dominance spread over eight years between 2014 and 2021.

However, neither of those eras matches the fashion with which Max Verstappen has stamped his authority on F1. Just last year, Red Bull won 21 of 22 races, of which the reigning champion won 19 of them.

That run has carried over to the 2024 season as Verstappen maintains a perfect result of two wins out of the same number of races so far. Despite that, the Dutchman has maintained a defensive tone when it comes to his era.

Is Max Verstappen guilty of making F1 boring?

The 2021 world championship remains one of the most controversial seasons in the modern F1 era. Regardless of the outcome, the championship was a thrilling one to follow. The result went right down to the wire with the last lap of the final race deciding the champion.

Despite that, Max Verstappen rates his 2023 title higher than the one he won in 2021. L’equipe recently quoted him as saying, “I know you’re not going to agree with me. But in my eyes, last year is the best.”

The French media outlet then also shared Verstappen’s views on F1 becoming boring as a result of Red Bull’s dominance. The Dutchman continued, “This must undoubtedly seem boring to some, but I don’t care. I’m here to judge my performance and that of the team. And 2023 was the best season of all time. 2021 doesn’t even come close.”

The 2023 triumph marked the third championship win for Max Verstappen. In most possibilities, 2024 should add another feather to the Dutchman’s cap. The RB20 is currently miles ahead of the competition and it would be too late until rivals begin to catch up to it.

Affairs away from the track have let Verstappen down, though. The ongoing Christian Horner controversy has engulfed Helmut Marko.

As the Austrian ponders over his future with the team, Verstappen could follow in the 80-year-old’s footsteps. In the event that both decide to leave Red Bull in 2025, the move could mark the end of one of F1’s most dominant periods.

  • Francis Ngannou’s new WBC ranking revealed after stunning Anthony Joshua knockout (Video)

Francis Ngannou’s new WBC ranking revealed after stunning Anthony Joshua knockout (Video)

Francis Ngannou’s new WBC ranking has been revealed after he was knocked out by Anthony Joshua – and it’s bad news for the former UFC star.

Ngannou was taking part in his second competitive professional boxing bout against Joshua on March 8, after a narrow split decision defeat to Tyson Fury in October.

As a result of that Fury bout, some pundits gave the French-Cameroonian fighter a chance of upsetting the odds against Joshua in Riyadh.

But the Brit showed his class with a dominant display, and knocked Ngannou down with a fearsome right hand in round one.

Joshua then floored Ngannou twice in the second round to win via knockout in incredible fashion, with his opponent briefly requiring oxygen after the fight before thankfully getting back to his feet.

Speaking on his Instagram account last week, Ngannou revealed he was ‘falling asleep and sweating’ in the locker room before the fight.

He also confirmed that he will return to boxing when the time is right.

But he will have to do so from a much lower starting point in terms of the rankings, with his new ranking now revealed after the Joshua defeat.

Ngannou is now ranked 24th in the WBC heavyweight rankings, dropping behind the likes of Joe Joyce, Dereck Chisora and Otto Wallin.

He was previously ranked as world number 10.

Despite his convincing victory in Saudi Arabia, Joshua had some classy words for Ngannou and his coach immediately after the knockout.

In a short conversation that was picked up by DAZN cameras, Joshua said: “You’re an inspiration. You’d beat a lot of people. Don’t leave boxing – don’t leave.

“Dewey [Cooper, Ngannou’s head coach] – don’t leave boxing, you know. This guy is the truth.

“If you [Ngannou] need anything, let me know. We’ll speak another time. I’d love to support your foundation – we’ll speak another time.”

  • Boxing legend questions whether Mike Tyson and Jake Paul ‘may have agreed’ how their huge fight ends

Boxing legend questions whether Mike Tyson and Jake Paul ‘may have agreed’ how their huge fight ends

Boxing legend Teddy Atlas has questioned whether Mike Tyson and Jake Paul have already ‘agreed’ on how their fight will end.

Paul, 27, is set to take on former world champion Tyson, 57, on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The details of the fight, such as the rounds and weight, are yet to be determined – but the two have so far been vocal in their public exchanges ahead of the bout.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming showdown against Tyson – also known as ‘Iron Mike’ – Paul said: “I idolized Mike Tyson until the first time I met him 4 years ago…he called me Logan. Going to make sure he knows who I am real close and personal.”

Tyson has also had his say after taking to his personal social media to post a video of himself training, where he said: “You still wanna f*** with me?”

While anticipation is building amongst the two fighters and fans across the world, boxing trainer and commentator Atlas is hesitant to join the hype.

“Unless this is a WWE agreement, which I don’t know that it is – I never said this before because I think all these fights are legitimate, and they are and have been – but this one makes me wonder,” he said said on his YouTube channel (as quoted by Daily Mirror).

“I’m not questioning the integrity of Paul. In fact, I like his integrity. I like what I’ve seen in the guy.

    Mike Tyson and Jake Paul
    Mike Tyson and Jake Paul

“I’m just saying, if there was a time I would question it, this would be the time.

“I can’t see, unless Paul is that confident, that Tyson is too old now and he’s that good, because Paul has been getting more confident, and he does have a good right hand and does punch well with it and Tyson leads with left hooks.

“Maybe Paul thinks he can hit him with a right hand, I don’t know.

“All I know is that this is the first time I’ve said, ‘I wonder if there’s an agreement, because if there’s no agreement, Paul might be making a mistake. … I’m surprised Paul is taking this risk.

“Power doesn’t disappear even when you’re old. He’s still got speed in the combinations. He’s still got that style.”

There is no evidence or suggestion out there to support Atlas’ claims, however, and Paul and his management have already rubbished several conspiracy theory claims surrounding the fight – with this looking to be just one of many that we’ve seen as the fight edges closer.

Tyson was last in action back in November 2020, where he had an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. Paul was also in action on the same card, as he knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson.

According to a recent report from a German publication, Red Bull’s co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz and Christian Horner did not see eye to eye towards the last days of the former’s life. The report adds that if the late Austrian was still alive today, he would have dismissed Horner long back because of the allegation against the Briton.

German media house Bild reported, “All insiders agree on one thing: If he (Mateschitz) were still there today, Horner would have been fired by now – but his death immediately shifted the balance of power.” At the time when Mateschitz was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Horner formed a friendship with Chalerm Yoovidhya.

Yoovidhya owns 51% of the company’s shares, while Mateschitz and his heirs have the other 49%. Therefore, the Thai family has the majority of shares and gets to have the final call. Experts believe this is the only reason why Horner is still leading the team.

However, it is pertinent to note that Mateschitz and Horner did not always reportedly have a rift. It all began with the failure of the Porsche deal back in 2022.

How did the Porsche deal ruin Christian Horner and Dietrich Mateschitz’s relationship?

Dietrich Mateschitz for long had an amicable relationship with Christian Horner until the Porsche deal changed things. While Horner and Mateschitz both agreed on the deal initially, it fell apart after the Briton wanted to limit Porsche’s role in the partnership.

The Red Bull Racing team principal wanted Porsche to remain as an engine supplier only and this ruined the deal for the German automotive giants. Porsche wanted to acquire 50% of the team, something Horner was not ready to give in. Therefore, the deal never took place, and this reportedly hugely upset Mateschitz.

Mateschitz could not help but accept the situation as he had no other option at the time. He was terribly ill, and it was just four weeks later that he passed away in 2022 at the age of 78. Now, Red Bull Racing is all set to partner with Ford from the 2026 season onwards.

While Horner failed to seal a deal with Porsche as per his demands, he was able to do so with Ford. The American automobile giants will only work with Red Bull Racing as the team’s engine supplier.

  • Mike Tyson announces shock career decision ahead of Jake Paul fight that nobody saw coming

Mike Tyson announces shock career decision ahead of Jake Paul fight that nobody saw coming

Mike Tyson has announced a major career change ahead of his upcoming fight with Jake Paul.

Tyson will return to the ring to face Paul on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in what will be the main event of a card that will air on Netflix.

The 57-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion has not fought since drawing with Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition match in 2020, while his last professional bout came back in 2005 against Kevin McBridge, when he was beaten inside two rounds.

It is yet to be confirmed if his fight with Paul, 27, will be fully professional, a non-judged fight with pro rules or merely an exhibition bout.

Tyson’s decision to return to boxing has divided opinion, with some boxing fans concerned for the former heavyweight champion’s wellbeing.

Undeterred, Tyson has posted several videos of his training regime ahead of the fight, in which he looks in peak physical condition for a man of his age.

He is seemingly giving the fight his full focus, announcing on Wednesday that his podcast – Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson – had come to an end. Check out the video below.

“Ladies and gentlemen, these are my final recordings of HotBoxin’,” said Tyson.

“I really enjoyed being a part of this journey and all the people that I met, the remarkable people that I met in interviews.

“And by now, for me, this is my next chapter in life. Please enjoy the following socials at Mike Tyson and MikeTyson.com for my next venture, please. I love you all.”

Tyson spoke to numerous high-profile guests on his podcast including Kevin Hart, Joe Rogan, Dana White, Tony Hawk, The Undertaker and Eminem.

His full focus will now on his upcoming bout with Paul.

Numerous high-profile names have already given their views on the controversial fight, including WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ has supported Tyson returning to the sport and calls his against Paul an “even match”.

Speaking to The Stomping Ground, he said: “I think it’s fantastic for boxing.

“You’ve got a legend in Mike Tyson. You’ve got a YouTube boxer [Jake Paul]. He has come into the game and blew it up and he’s got millions of followers and millions of views and millions of eyes. Good, bad or indifferent. Some people love him, some people hate him.

“So, I think it’s a really good spectacle for boxing. Brings a lot of people to the game.”

Ricky Hatton holds nothing back in astonishing rant about Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight

British boxing legend Ricky Hatton held nothing back after being asked about Mike Tyson’s controversial fight with Jake Paul.

Tyson, 57, will take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul, 27, on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in what will be the main event of a card that will air on Netflix.

It is yet to be confirmed if the bout will be fully professional, a non-judged fight with pro rules or merely an exhibition.

Nevertheless, the match-up has attracted plenty of criticism from leading figures in the boxing world, with a particular focus on the huge age gap between the two fighters.

Some have voiced concerns for the former heavyweight champion’s well-being. Meanwhile, a senior lecturer in medicine at Anglia Ruskin University has even warned that the fight could see Tyson suffer fatal injuries.

Dr Stephen Hughes claims that as an older man and recovering alcoholic, Tyson is at risk of suffering a subdural haematoma – a tearing of veins in the brain.

Former two-weight world champion Hatton has criticised the fight and the ongoing trend of YouTube fighters moving into professional boxing.

Speaking to InstantCasinos.com, Hatton said: “I get the pushing and the shoving and the name calling and holding each other back, but some of the great champions of old will be turning in the grave watching that c*** to be honest with you.

“I’ll be turning in my grave and watching it myself. But, I’ve got my eyes open in the sense that this is the world that we’re in now.

“We’re in the entertainment business. YouTubers against MMA and MMA against boxers, I think that world can exist.

“As long as fights like Garcia, Crawford and Spence, Fury and Usyk happen. As long as those fights are made, they can stay in their world and we’ll stay in our world.

“Both can exist, I’m not turning around and saying, ‘oh, this is a joke’. We’re in the entertainment world, that’s the reason why they have the followings they have, because people want to see it.

“But let them have their world and we’ll have our world.”
