Jake Paul & Mike Tyson ‘May Have Agreed Fight Ending’

Boxing legend Teddy Atlas has his doubts over the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Fight, and believes the ending could be scripted.

    Jake Paul and Mike Tyson

    HIGHLIGHTS

Boxing legend Teddy Atlas believes Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson may have already ‘agreed the ending’ to their fight.
The YouTuber and the heavyweight legend will meet in the ring in July in a fight which has sparked a lot of debate over the safety of the bout.
Paul will be 30 years younger than Tyson come fight night.

Legendary boxing trainer Teddy Atlas has voiced his concerns over Jake Paul’s upcoming clash with Mike Tyson. The YouTube star is set to meet the iconic boxer in the ring this summer as he continues his meteoric rise in the world of combat sports.

Atlas, however, has raised one question regarding the upcoming meeting, pondering if the two have agreed upon how the fight will end in what he deemed to be a ‘WWE-style’ ending. Tyson Fury, meanwhile, has himself already spoken out this week about the fight, actually praising Paul’s rise in the boxing world and just how big this fight should be.

Despite the glowing support from the Gypsy King, questions have been raised regarding Paul’s fights, ranging from some wondering if he really could beat the opponents he has beaten so far to punches allegedly not landing.

We are yet to see details of how the fight will be contested or how many rounds it will consist of. However, the one detail we do know is that the two will not be wearing headgear.

    Defending Paul in the Past

Despite his comments this time, Atlas has leaped to the defence of the YouTuber in the past, shutting down conspiracy theories surrounding his fights in the ring so far. Atlas cited those theories as baseless when shutting them down. They ran rife following Paul’s knockout victory over UFC legend Anderson Silva in October 2022, as viewers claimed that his punch that dropped the Brazilian did not actually connect.

“Unless this is a WWE agreement, which I don’t know that it is – I never said this before because I think all these fights are legitimate, and they are and have been – but this one makes me wonder. I’m not questioning the integrity of Paul. In fact, I like his integrity. I like what I’ve seen in the guy.”

Elsewhere, the 27-year-old has received criticism for his opponent selection, choosing fighters such as Ryan Bourland, his most recent opponent, who had not competed for some time before their meeting in Puerto Rico earlier this month.

    A Matter of Integrity

As he questioned whether an agreed outcome is the case for the fight, Atlas admitted that this is the first time he’s ever felt something could be going on in regard to a Jake Paul fight.

The trainer highlighted his concerns surrounding the fight, describing it as a risk for Paul to take on a name like Tyson, despite his age, with a 30-year gap between the two. One point that Atlas was quick to raise was that he might be making a mistake when it comes to taking on the 57-year-old, as he highlighted Tyson’s speed that he still shows in his combinations at his age and pointed out that power does not disappear with age.

“I’m just saying, if there was a time I would question it, this would be the time. I can’t see, unless Paul is that confident, that Tyson is too old now, and he’s that good, because Paul has been getting more confident, and he does have a good right hand and does punch well with it and Tyson leads with left hooks. Maybe Paul thinks he can hit him with a right hand. I don’t know.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson face off

“All I know is that this is the first time I’ve said, ‘I wonder if there’s an agreement,’ because if there’s no agreement, Paul might be making a mistake. I’m surprised Paul is taking this risk. Power doesn’t disappear even when you’re old. He’s still got speed in the combinations. He’s still got that style.”

In a boxing ring, it will be worth noting that Tyson could still be dangerous, and you will imagine Paul’s trainers will have made that clear. There will be no room for complacency for the 27-year-old. A fighter of this calibre will not have lost the competitive edge he once had despite his age.

Mike Tyson weigh-in before Roy Jones Jr fight

Footage of Mike Tyson looking ferocious in training has done the rounds recently, but UFC legend Chael Sonnen has his doubts.

    Sharing the Ring Again

This may be the first time these two men meet in the ring, but it will not be the first time they have shared the ring. Iron Mike’s last fight came in 2020 on the same card that Paul made his second professional boxing appearance against Nate Robinson, a fight he won by knockout. Tyson took on another boxing legend that night as he met Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout. Following that fight, questions were asked about future bouts somewhere down the line and Iron Mike did not shut down the possibility of a return, and perhaps that exhibition, alongside Paul’s impressive rise, has led us to where we are today.

In particular, Goldenballs is being wooed in the hope he can sprinkle a little stardust on the Prince’s Foundation, which provides skills training to youngsters.

It is a role David is both familiar with and does well, having previously supported Harry with his Invictus Games, and William with both environmental and mental health campaigns.

And according to Sarah Hewson, royal editor of Talk TV, the invitation from the King could be the start of another new royal friendship.

She told Fabulous: “I think David and the King might have more in common than perhaps we might have realised.

“For instance, like Charles, David is an avid beekeeper and he gifted the King a jar of honey that he had harvested after the coronation.

“I certainly think there’s a lot that can be done by them working together. I think that it’s quite an interesting development in terms of David’s history with the royal family – and it’s very clear which side the Beckhams are on.”

Sarah is referring to the alleged feud between the Beckhams and the Sussexes over leaked stories.

Harry reportedly called David accusing him and wife Victoria of the leaks in an “awkward” conversation which left David “absolutely bloody furious”.

“With the allegations around cash for honours – where it was claimed a Saudi billionaire was promised British citizenship and a knighthood in return for being a donor – the Foundation needs to be rebranded.

“And who better to do that than a star like David Beckham.”

Lewis Hamilton won the 2008 title by a small margin, which would have gone Felipe Massa‘s way had the results following Crashgate’s revelation been nulled. Massa is currently battling with the FIA to get the title back, but his chances look slim. Meanwhile, former Ferrari manager and F1 journalist Peter Windsor feels that Hamilton would be willing to lose the title to Massa. However, there is a small catch.

Hamilton lost out on the 2021 title in heartbreaking fashion. Had then-race director Michael Masi’s questionable decision-making not impacted the final lap of the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP, Hamilton would have been an eight-time world champion. Windsor feels that Hamilton should get that championship back, even though it went to Max Verstappen.

“Deep down, if you were to ask Lewis Hamilton to lose his 2008 title to give it to Felipe Massa, and reclaim the 2021 championship, I think he would be willing to do it,” he said as reported by MSN.

Windsor thinks that the final lap of the 2021 season finale should be voided. In that case, Hamilton, who was in the lead up until then, would emerge as the race winner and world champion. Consequently, losing one title won’t affect his overall tally currently (7). Felipe Massa, however, thinks that he has a stronger claim to the 2008 title than Hamilton does for 2021.

Felipe Massa downplays Lewis Hamilton’s Abu Dhabi heartbreak

Massa was a victim of the Crashgate scandal in 2008, and there was proof that the FIA knew about the wrongdoings. Hamilton’s 2021 loss on the other hand was down to human error as far as the FIA was concerned. Hence, Massa thinks Hamilton’s situation is different than his.

Massa, in an episode of the Track Limits podcast, insisted that Hamilton needs to prove that his loss was an injustice. “For sure they need to prove it was a mistake,” he said. “And if it was a mistake, for sure they have the complete possibility to fight.”

Massa stated that in case Mercedes or Hamilton could prove that external factors influenced Masi’s decision-making, he could make a claim for the title. Since that is not the case, the stronger claim rests with himself, according to him.

Jake Paul called out for ‘faking’ iconic Mike Tyson picture ahead of fight as eagle-eyed fans spot detail

Jake Paul has been ruthlessly called out by boxing fans for his attempted imitation of a legendary Mike Tyson picture ahead of their fight.

Paul, who scored a big win over Ryan Bourland earlier this month, returns to action on July 20 when he takes on Tyson at AT&T Stadium.

Their Texas clash will be aired on Netflix – with a doctor issuing a health warning to the boxing icon ahead of his ring return.

Tyson, however, looks in supreme shape as he showed off his legendary power and hand speed in a new training clip.

UFC legend Chael Sonnen, though, has questioned the footage shared by the former world heavyweight champion.

Paul, meanwhile, is in confident mood and responded defiantly to Tyson’s chilling message.

Ahead of their summer showdown, ‘The Problem Child’ recreated a picture that he posted online.

He posted an image of himself in white pants, with a tiger on a leash – side by side with Tyson’s famous picture, accompanied with the caption: “Who did it better?”

But people on social media have called him out for using a ‘fake’ tiger.

    One X user wrote: “Tyson’s wasn’t photoshopped.”

A second tweeted: “Is that a CGI tiger?”

A third added: “Yours was CGI.”

A fourth said: “The photoshopped tiger is comedy.”

Another commented: “You look scared of the animal. Tyson looks unbothered. Common Jake L.”

At one point, Tyson owned not one but THREE Bengal tigers.

But as they grew, he donated two of the cats to a local sanctuary.

‘Iron’ Mike received the pets when they were babies, but they got bigger over time.

However, he kept one of the wild cats for 16 years.

Tyson said: “I had to get rid of her when her eyes and her head got bad.

“Oh and she ripped somebody’s arm off.”

Eddie Hearn has labeled Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson as a “freak show”, admitting that he will wait and see who is on the undercard before deciding whether to watch the fight or not.

Tyson, 57, will take on Paul, 27, on July, 20. The fight will be streamed live on Netflix, taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL‘s Dallas Cowboys.

Tyson Fury has claimed that the bout is “fantastic for boxing“, as the Gypsy King shared his support for the fight.

Yet Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Hearn, has now given a scathing assessment of the upcoming fight as he refused to hold back in his critique of the contest.

Eddie Hearn: Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson a “freak show”

“It’s difficult, you know my opinion, I’ve given interviews on it before,” Hearn told the Stomping Ground’s YouTube channel.

“But if you say anything negative, you’re a hater. I get the event. I know what people want to see. They want to see freak shows. And that’s what it is, it’s a freak show.

    Topic starts at 15:40.

“It’ll do really well. People will tune in. But it’s not for everyone. If you grew up watching Mike Tyson and he’s one of your greatest fighters of all-time, the last thing you want to do is see him get back in the ring at 58-years-old [when the fight takes place on July, 20] and lose to Jake Paul.

“The general consensus from the casual audience is ‘Oh that’s a bit of a freak show, I’ll watch that’. Who knows what’s going to be on the card, maybe it’s a great night of boxing, we’ll see.”

Asked whether he will watch the fight, Hearn replied: “We’ll see. We’ll see what’s on the undercard. I don’t know.”

Sean Strickland slams Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

Sean Strickland has labeled Jake Paul’s fight with Mike Tyson as “pathetic” as the former UFC middleweight champion criticized the pair for coming up with a “game plan” to drum up interest in the fight.

Tyson and Paul will go head-to-head on July, 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL‘s Dallas Cowboys.

The fight will be streamed live on Netflix, with the likes of Tyson Fury praising the bout as being “fantastic for boxing“.

Yet Strickland, 33, has disagreed with the Gypsy King, insisting that the 30-year age gap between the pair rules out any chance of a fair fight.

Sean Strickland hits out at Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

Taking to social media, Strickland wrote: “Jake Paul and Mike Tyson game planning to hide the fact this is pathetic.

“So we have to make people believe you [Tyson] have a chance, we have to make people believe that you’re not 60 [sic, 57] and this is isn’t the most pathetic thing I’ve ever done”.”

When put to him that Tyson has a “puncher’s chance”, Strickland was categorical in his reply.

    “Naaa man,” he said. “He’s [Tyson’s] 60. You ever train with a 60-year-old?! Lmao I haven’t.”

Strickland is not the only one who has been critical of the match-up between Paul and Tyson. Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, called the fight a “freak show” as he revealed that he may not even watch the bout.

Rumors that the fight would see Paul and Tyson were headguards threatened to derail interest in the fight, something that Paul admitted his frustration as to how the “absurd” news was spread in the first place.

Jake Paul warned he’ll be “in a really bad way” vs Mike Tyson – one one condition

    Sean McCormick

Jake Paul has been warned about underestimating Mike Tyson

Jake Paul could end up in a “really bad way” in his fight with Mike Tyson if he doesn’t show the boxing great the “respect he deserves”.

That is the frank verdict of former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew, who believes it is “frightening” to see Tyson enter the ring with a fighter 30 years his junior.

Paul, 27, and Tyson, 57, will face off at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on July 20, in what will be Netflix’s first foray into live boxing broadcasting.

Tyson, a former world heavyweight champion, has not fought professionally since a defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005 and last fought in an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

Paul, meanwhile, has a 9-1 record in the ring and continues to navigate the crossover from YouTube star to fighter.

Bellew hopes Paul vs Tyson is a “circus”

The “Problem Child” will enter as a favorite against “Iron Mike” and Bellew is hopeful Tyson doesn’t end up hurt but concedes he would have probably took the fight, too, for the right price.

“I am worried about it personally but you don’t know what’s been agreed between the two,” Bellew told Spin Bet.

“It’s frightening that Mike Tyson is going back into a boxing ring against somebody who is more than 30 years younger than him. It’s just a bit nuts.

“I’m hoping that the fight is a bit of a circus and a bit scripted because I wouldn’t want to see Mike get hurt in any way shape or form. Let’s see what happens.

“He is going to be getting paid an awful lot of money and nobody has the right to stop him from doing that.

“It is sad. I don’t want to see Mike Tyson get hurt, he is one of my idols and heroes, I love Mike Tyson and I don’t want to see him get hurt, but I understand it because everyone needs to get paid.

“Everybody has a price and all of these people saying on social media why is he doing that, they also have a price and everyone in the world does and if the price is right then get on with it.

“If somebody offers me the right price, then I’m sorry to say that I am fighting again. I hope Jake Paul gives him the respect he deserves, and I think he will, because if Mike kicks off then Jake Paul is in a really bad way. He’d pull his head off his neck.”

Jake Paul debunks “absurd” Mike Tyson boxing rules rumors

    Virginia Glaze

    jake-paul-hits-back-absurd-fake-fight-rules-mike-tyson-boxing-match

Jake Paul has shut down rumors about the rules for his upcoming boxing match with Mike Tyson this summer, calling the farcical guidelines totally “absurd.”

Jake Paul is gearing up to face off against boxing legend Mike Tyson this summer in a special live event streamed exclusively on Netflix.

News of the match exploded on social media earlier this month, sparking a debate about who will end up winning and why Jake continues to challenge older fighters, but other rumors also cropped up about the supposed rules of their upcoming bout.

A TikTok uploaded by creator ‘More Pickem Petey’ claimed Paul would be required to wear headgear like an “amateur boxer,” while Mike Tyson wouldn’t wear any.

That’s not all; Petey made another wild claim that Jake would be able to “tag in” his older brother, Logan Paul, if he was gassing out — something Jake dismissed as “absurd.”

“It’s so sad that millions of people believe that,” he said in a March 21 podcast episode. “It’s f**king absurd. First of all, obviously, none of that’s true… They’re so f**king stupid. Anyone who believes that sh*t should not be allowed to vote.”

“It’s sad. We live in a f**ked up world. Humans are getting more and more stupid every single day. It’s crazy, bro.”

    (Topic begins at 20:50)

Paul’s business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, similarly debunked any rumors that headgear would be used in the bout.

“Unequivocally there is no headgear for Paul vs Tyson,” he reportedly posted on Instagram. “Haters spreading fake news but it won’t stop the 10’s of millions of views.”

However, other rumors claiming that the two will use heavier boxing gloves have yet to be confirmed or denied, and whether or not the bout will be officially sanctioned is also still up in the air at the time of writing.

Dana White explains why Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson isn’t a “serious” fight

    Michael Gwilliam

jake paul and mike tyson head to head

UFC President Dana White doesn’t think Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson is a very “serious” fight for one big reason.

During an appearance on Pound 4 Pound with Kamura Usman, White chimed in about Paul’s next bout against Mike Tyson scheduled for July 20 in Netflix’s first-ever live boxing event.

According to Dana, Jake Paul’s reason for fighting ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson all comes down to the money, since Tyson is serving as a draw to get eyeballs on the boxing match.

“I love Mike, and I hate talking about him because he always get mad at me when I talk about this stuff, but when the fight happens he’ll be 58-years-old. There will be a 31 year age difference,” White explained.

The UFC President further noted that when Paul did fight someone his age, he ended up being handed the only loss of his career via split decision to Tommy Fury.

“If he beats Mike Tyson, he’s gonna fight Clint Eastwood next,” White joked. “Clint Eastwood’s 93-years-old.”

Usman went on to try to argue that fighters “always have a round left,” but noted that Jake Paul isn’t doing his best to be taken seriously as a fighter. White was quick to interrupt, claiming that ‘The Problem Child’ doesn’t have a desire to do so.

“He doesn’t [want to be taken seriously]. What Jake wants is Jake wants to make money. The people that follow Jake Paul don’t buy Jake Paul’s fights so Jake Paul has to fight people who can actually sell pay-per-views,” he added.

Jake Paul and Dana White are no strangers to each other, with the influencer frequently feuding with UFC boss over his demands for increased fighter pay. So far, Paul has yet to respond to Dana’s criticisms, but it’s unlikely that the influencer will remain silent on his concerns.

Dana White brutally takes aim at Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson: “He’s going to fight Clint Eastwood next”

UFC President Dana White really, really hates the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

    Dana White and Jake Paul

Earlier this month, ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Iron Mike’ announced plans to hold a boxing match this summer, that will be streamed on Netflix. The bout will be Jake Paul’s heavyweight debut, but there are still a lot of questions about the event itself. As of now, it remains to be seen if the bout will be a professional one, or not.

Regardless, Dana White isn’t a big fan of it. The promoter is a longtime friend of Mike Tyson and publically admitted that he didn’t want to see the boxing legend return in 2020. However, White was impressed with the heavyweight’s performance against Roy Jones Jr. in their exhibition that November.

Speaking on Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman’s podcast, Dana White took heavy aim at Jake Paul. While he admitted that the former heavyweight champion doesn’t like him speaking about his fights, he felt the need to. White noted that Mike Tyson is currently 57 years old, and there will be a 31-year age gap between himself and Paul.

In the interview, White joked that Jake Paul will likely try and fight the famed actor and director, Clint Eastwood next. The star is currently 93 years old, which seemingly makes him the perfect target for ‘The Problem Child’.

“I love Mike, and I hate talking about it because he always gets mad when I talk about this stuff.” Dana White stated on the podcast when asked about Mike Tyson’s return. “But, when the fight happens, he will be 58 years old. There will be a 31-year age difference. You know, Jake Paul did fight a kid his age, and he lost. I saw this thing on the internet yesterday.”

He continued, “If he beats Mike Tyson, he’s going to fight Clint Eastwood next. Clint Eastwood is 93 years old. He doesn’t [want to be taken seriously as a boxer]. What Jake wants is Jake wants to make money. The people that follow Jake Paul, don’t buy Jake Paul’s fights. So, Jake Paul has to fight people that actually sell pay-per-views.”

Dana White’s comments about Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson echo a lot of fan sentiment about the boxing match. Following the bout announcement earlier this month, many slammed the YouTuber for making it. Furthermore, Paul has opened as a heavy betting favorite for the fight, due to the legend’s age.

‘The Problem Child’ clashed with Mayweather in Miami, but was soon left regretting it.

    HIGHLIGHTS

Jake Paul’s May 2021 hat-stealing stunt led to a chaotic brawl with Floyd Mayweather in Miami.
Logan Paul has now admitted his anger towards his brother over the incident.
‘The Problem Child’ immediately feared for his safety and has spent a fortune on security since.

Jake Paul made headlines around the world when he clashed with Floyd Mayweather before his brother’s exhibition bout with the unbeaten legend in 2021. ‘The Problem Child’ made Floyd lose his cool at a pre-fight press conference by stealing his hat at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami – and has been counting the cost ever since.

Jake’s prank quickly resulted in a chaotic brawl between the two fighters’ camps and left Mayweather enraged. “I’ll kill you motherf******,” yelled ‘Money’ as he was restrained by security. Footage of the bust-up soon went viral and no doubt helped to sell the fight, but Logan Paul has now admitted that he was angry at his younger brother over the stunt.

Logan: “Jake put me in jeopardy”

During a recent appearance on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Logan admitted he had known about Jake’s plan to mess with Mayweather. However, he doubted whether his sibling would follow through on his words.

“He told me he was gonna do it, I didn’t think he was gonna do it. He did it, and I felt like Jake had put me in jeopardy. He’s my little brother and I love him. He steals Floyd’s hat and a skirmish breaks out, but If I break my hand, or get a concussion or get f**** up by Floyd’s guys a month before the biggest moment of my life, trying to save my little brother’s a**, that’s stupid.”

Jake – who was only a three-fight novice at the time – smiled as he cheekily told Mayweather “Gotcha hat,” as he snatched the cap from the Detroit-born fighter’s head. That grin, though, would be short-lived. Shortly after the viral sensation realised just how incensed Floyd was over his actions, the 27-year-old began to pay for round-the-clock protection, which he continues to fund to this day. Such security isn’t cheap and must now have run into millions of dollars, but Logan insisted that his brother felt it was necessary after the brawl occurred.

“Jake has not been without a security guard since that moment. What the f*** do we know about Miami, bro. These are real threats. In Miami. Floyd knows Miami, he’s been around the block,’ claiming ‘he got goons who kill a man for $200.”

    Mayweather vowed revenge over stunt

Per talkSPORT, Jake would later suggest that the whole incident was a publicity stunt designed to drum up interest in the Mayweather v Logan fight. However – if that was the case – nobody had told Floyd. As you’ll see in the clip above, the 15-time world champion was raging.

While 24-hour security might have been a big step back in 2021, such staffing costs are well within Jake’s budget these days. Figures presented by Essentially Sports, suggest that ‘The Problem Child’ reportedly raked in $42m in 2023 from his boxing earnings alone – and will boost his bank balance significantly when he takes on heavyweight legend Mike Tyson on July 20th in Dallas, Texas

Bernard Hopkins takes aim at “side show” Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight: “I could watch two turtles race and be more excited”

Boxing legend Bernard Hopkins has questioned the upcoming boxing showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Jake Paul, Mike TysonAs we all know, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will collide later this year in a blockbuster boxing match. Their collision is currently scheduled for July 20 at AT&T Stadium, with Netflix being set to stream the contest.

Because of the age and inactivity of Tyson, many have called this bout into question. Paul, as we know, doesn’t tend to go for the most conventional opponents, and he looks to be keeping that trend going.

In the eyes of Bernard Hopkins, this isn’t exactly the most exciting fight he could hope to see.

    Hopkins questions Tyson/Paul

“I don’t like it. I don’t like it,” Hopkins told Fight Hub TV and other reporters on Tuesday. “I look at Mike, I look at him different in a way of my era, like people looked at Ali. I looked at Ali different, too. Marvin Hagler, ‘Sugar’ Ray Robinson.

“I don’t like it. I think it’s becoming more of a side show with some sweat and maybe some blood, if we’re lucky. I won’t watch it. I could watch two turtles race and be more excited.”

“It’s because of how I look at Mike Tyson,” Hopkins said. “I’ve shared not only the ring with Mike Tyson a few times, but the era, a little tip of the era. I just think it degrades him. You’re getting 100 million, 200 million. Please, OK.”

Jake Paul rips ‘old head’ Conor McGregor for hating on Mike Tyson fight: ‘There’s no reason to be jealous’

Jake Paul thinks Conor McGregor’s criticism of his fight with Mike Tyson is out of jealousy.

YouTuber-turned-pro boxer Paul (9-1) takes on boxing legend Tyson (50-6) on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will stream live on Netflix.

McGregor called Paul’s fight with Tyson “a bit strange,” and said the interest is low. Paul thinks otherwise, claiming the numbers on social media have been booming, and have far surpassed McGregor’s announcement that he’s fighting Michael Chandler on June 29.

“So, Conor, you’re saying that interest is low for the fight but the last fight you announced, there was 1,000 articles written in a multiple-day span, people talking about your last fight,” Paul said on his B/S with Jake Paul podcast. “In that same multiple-day span, there was 10,000 articles written about (Paul vs. Tyson).

“No fight ever has done these numbers in terms of faceoff views, Instagram reels. Just on our main pages alone, it’s like 50, 60 million Instagram views on both of our posts – not to mention every single other sports page posting it. That’s never happened in the history of the sport to reach those numbers. So this is, in my mind, the biggest fight the world will ever see.”

Paul says fighting such a famous and accomplished figure like Tyson will only help grow boxing.

“There’s no reason for them to be jealous,” Paul said. “I get that people are jealous, but this is helping the sport of boxing. Isn’t that what people should want to see – getting more kids into the gyms, spanning two generations together, doing it on the biggest scale possible? When the old heads like Conor are still trying to hate, why are you trying to pull people down? Your ego is that (big)?”

While his fight with Tyson will be free for all Netflix subscribers, Paul says more people will watch it than McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather, which holds the record for second most boxing pay-per-view buys of all time.

“It’ll be more viewed, 1,000 percent – for sure more viewed,” Paul said. “Obviously, it’ll be free (for subscribers), so we can’t compare pay-per-view numbers.”
