Spice Girl fans have been whipped up into a frenzy over rumours that a full-blown reunion is on the cards to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

But Victoria Beckham has poured water on the flames fanned by friend Mel B, revealing there will be no reunion tour or comeback performance – just a private meal to ‘reminisce.’

The pop star-turned-fashion designer, 49, has said there will categorically not be a musical reunion to celebrate the anniversary of their formation in 1994, much to fans’ disappointment.

‘We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls. It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate – a dinner or a lunch – and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that,’ she said during an interview on Radio France.

Victoria insisted that her singing days are firmly behind her and that she is now focused solely on her fashion and beauty empire.

‘I’m so proud of what I achieved with the Spice Girls that now, for me, it’s about empowering people through fashion and beauty,’ she said.

‘There have been lots of rumours about tours and performances but that will not happen. But I’d love to celebrate with the girls in another way just me and them.’

However, her revelation is contradictory to what former bandmate Melanie Brown, 48, said last month during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

When asked about a potential reunion, Mel said that something was ‘definitely’ on the cards with Victoria, Geri Horner, 51, Melanie Chisholm, 50, and Emma Bunton, 48.

‘We are wanting to do something and we are, but I can’t really tell you because I’ll get kicked out of the WhatsApp group again,’ she said.

‘We’re definitely doing something. I’m probably going to get told off! I’m in trouble now.’

Victoria, who is gearing up to celebrate her 50th birthday later this month, said she felt ‘okay’ about the milestone as she feels ‘accomplished.’

Mike Tyson has issued some bold predicitons for the upcoming bout between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury.

Tyson told Jim Rome: ‘Tyson Fury got dropped by a small guy (Steve Cunningham) early in his career.

This guy (Ngannou) punches like God knows who, he moves quicker, I’ve worked with his speed.

‘Listen man, he only has to land one or two, Tyson’s never been in the ring with a guy that can punch this hard.

‘I think this guy punches harder than anybody he’s ever fought.’

The Gypsy King has experience with hard hitters, fighting notorious power puncher Deontay Wilder on three seperate occasions, with Fury hitting the canvas four different times across the trilogy.

Ngannou has a record of 17 wins and three losses in the UFC, with 12 knockouts, however Wilder failed to KO Fury in all of their bouts, which may bode well for the the Gypsy King.

On the Predator, Tyson insisted: ‘He just needs gotta go all-out aggression, punch him to the body, punch him to the head, as we’ve been working with.

‘He’s moving his head, he’s getting it together and he’s really determined to do this.’

Fury is undoubtedly the favourite heading into the fight, but Tyson hinted at a result that could shake the combat sports community to its very core.

‘He really wants to do this for his country and his people, it’s patriotic pride. I’m very excited about this’ said Tyson.

He even concluded: ‘It would be a bigger upset that Buster Douglas vs Mike Tyson.’

Douglas famously shocked the world with a 10th round KO of Mike Tyson in 1990 in a bout widely considered the greatest upset in boxing history.

In the 1980s, legendary boxer Mike Tyson made waves in and out of the ring. Before he became the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title at 20, he was a self-described “monster” (via ESPN). Heavy reports that Tyson was arrested 40 times before he turned 12 for burglaries, pick-pocketing, and snatching jewelry. ESPN further states that Tyson was bullied as a child, before he grew up to become one of the greatest and most feared heavyweight boxers of all time.

TYSON’S MOST WORTHY OPPONENT

Tillman, age 22, and Tyson, age 18, were first-timers at the 1984 U.S. Olympic trials in Texas. Both athletes had troubled childhoods and learned to box as a way to fight back, per Sportscasting. With Evander Holyfield, the Southeastern Regional Champion, and Pernell Whittaker, the lightweight silver medalist at the 1982 World Championships, in the running as well, the competition was undoubtedly rife.

HIS OWN FALL FROM GRACE

Besides his vicious punches, Tyson is infamous for his behavior inside the ring and out. He spent three years in prison for rape in 1992. According to NPR, Tyson was fined $3 million for biting off a piece of Holyfield’s ear during their heavyweight title encounter in 1997. However, it didn’t end the boxing legend’s erratic behavior. In 2007, Tyson had to spend 24 hours in prison, serve three years of probation, and undergo 360 hours of community service for felony drug possession (via Sportscasting). “The man I’ve become? The oldest heavyweight champion of the world, “Big” George Foreman, believes Mike Tyson got molded into the beast he was and wasn’t born with a natural talent.

When comparing Tyson to Sonny Liston, the most feared heavyweight of his day until toppled famously by Muhammad Ali, Foreman aired his views on the pair.

“Mike Tyson never fought anyone of Sonny Liston sort,” explained George. “I loved Tyson’s speed and combos, [but they were] manufactured by Cus D’Amato.

“Nature put Sonny Liston together. The stuff you have to run from,” he added.

Foreman and Tyson never fought. This scenario happened despite the former coming back from a decade-long retirement when the latter embarked on returning to the sport.

At one point, they got tied to a world title battle. However, Foreman believes he got steered away from Tyson purposely.

Talking about Tyson recently, Foreman was candid in his thoughts on the matter when asked about Ali telling him to avoid Tyson at all costs.

Correcting the question, Foreman answered: “Ali never told me to stay away from Tyson.

“He did say, “Tyson can punch like a Blankety Blank.” He was really impressed with Mike. But for me, they (heavyweights like Tyson) were real fast (small with muscles). But they were no danger to me.”

Part of the new fad for older boxers making comebacks for exhibitions, Tyson fought Roy Jones Jr. last year. A second bout is yet to materialize.

At the age of 72, Foreman is quite content to be out of the equation. He still makes most of his money out of the sport.
