‘Not even close’ – Tyson Fury’s US promoter names fighter who is better than Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury’s US promoter Todd duBoef believes Naoya Inoue is head and heels above Oleksandr Usyk in class.

The Ukrainian slickster became the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years last month when he defeated Fury via split decision in Saudi Arabia.

In doing so, he was crowned the third male two-weight undisputed champion of the four-belt era alongside Inoue and Terence Crawford – having previously unified the cruiserweight division in 2018.

The victory saw him shoot to the top of the coveted Ring Magazine pound-for-pound rankings.

Oleksandr Usyk’s promoter Alex Krassyuk confirms the date for rematch against Tyson Fury and hints at a potential trilogy fight
But Duboef believes his client, Inoue, deserves to occupy the No. 1 spot.

“I think Naoya Inoue is the best in the world, Oleksandr Usyk is not even close,” the Top Rank President told talkSPORT.com.

“People have this infatuation with pound-for-pound but those rankings are easily moved by the last performance.

“If I showed you round five of Fury vs Usyk and I said ‘he’s the number one pound-for-pound guy’ you would go ‘What? How can he be number one, he’s being hit with every f***ing uppercut.

“‘His head is up his hands are down’ that’s my opinion. We haven’t really seen that with Inoue, I mean we saw a flash knockdown in his last fight but that was nothing.

“I’m not knocking Usyk but you did see him get hit by a body shot in the Dubois fight which people thought was controversial.

“I think Crawford is a terrific fighter but I think he offers a different game to what Inoue does.

“Inoue has masterfully conquered every division and takes on everyone.

“He has a confidence about him and the way he dismantles people is really unique.”

Inoue is currently ranked No.2 by the Ring Magazine with Crawford one place behind him.

The Japanese sensation defeated Marlon Tapales last December to become undisputed at super-bantamweight, one year removed from his reign of supremacy over the bantamweight division.

In June 2022, he became the first Japanese boxer to top the pound-for-pound ratings but has since slipped down the list despite continuing to bulldoze through his opposition.

Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk 2: Date, UK start time, undercard, latest news and how to follow heavyweight title rematch

Tyson Fury will look to avenge his first-ever professional defeat when he rematches Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia later this year.

The Gypsy King missed the chance to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999 when he lost his historic first meeting with the Ukrainian.

Usyk dropped Fury in the ninth round en route to victory in the pair’s bid to unite all four belts for the first time in 25 years.

‘The Cat’ claimed a split-decision win with scorecards of 115-112 and 114-113 in his favour while the third judge gave it to Fury 114-113.

A second fight between the two had been targeted for autumn 2024 but has since been pushed back to allow Fury and Usyk to recover from their respective facial injuries.

It is unclear if the undisputed titles will be on the line, with Usyk currently waiting to discover if he will be forced to vacate his IBF belt.

The 37-year-old has filed for an ‘exception’ to keep the strap, which was anticipated to be the prize for Filip Hrgovic against Daniel Dubois.

Fury vs Usyk 2: Date and start time

This 12-round heavyweight title clash is set to take place on Saturday, December 21.

The rematch will again be held at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Start times and additional details are expected to be announced in due course.

If it follows the timings of the first fight, the undercard will get underway at 7pm UK time, with main event ringwalks around 11:30pm.

The event is expected to be broadcast live on TNT Sports Box Office – the new name for BT Sport – but pricing is yet to be revealed.

talkSPORT will have updates throughout fight week and talkSPORT.com will be running a live blog of all the action as well.

Fury vs Usyk 2: What has been said?

Usyk’s manager Alex Krassyuk has suggested his client could meet Fury in a trilogy if he is beaten in December.

He told talkSPORT on White & Jordan: “Why not? Boxing has had this in the past.

“If the people want to see this for a third time or a fourth time, it may well happen.

“Boxing is all about the desire of the fans, and Turki Alalshikh is the man that is currently making their dreams come true.”

Turki Alalshikh calls talkSPORT and makes invite to Simon Jordan after Tyson Fury row

Turki Alalshikh has offered to fly Simon Jordan over to Saudi Arabia for this weekend’s Queensberry vs Matchroom card.

The talkSPORT host was barred from attending Tyson Fury’s recent fights in Saudi Arabia by ‘The Gypsy King’ over comments made following the collapse of his contest with Oleksandr Usyk in early 2023.

But Saudi boxing chief Alalshikh insists Jordan, co-host Jim White and talkSPORT are welcome to the Kingdom any time.

“I asked my team to invite talkSPORT to the 5vs5 event, especially you and Simon but they tell me that Simon is on vacation in America,” Alalshikh told White and Jordan on talkSPORT on Wednesday afternoon.

Promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren have selected five fighters each to go head-to-head this weekend in the Middle East to determine who has the better roster.

The unprecedented tournament is headlined by the return of Deontay Wilder against Zhilei Zhang and is accompanied by several exciting match ups, including Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic, Raymond Ford vs Nick Ball, Hamzah Sheeraz vs Ammo Williams and Willy Hutchinson vs Craig Richards.

Jordan may not be able to attend the event, but the former Crystal Palace chairman was pleased to hear there was no issue between boxing decision makers in Saudi Arabia and talkSPORT.

Jordan responded: “I’m very pleased to hear that, Turki, because from our point of view, we’ve heard a lot of things about the response to some of the observations that we’ve made.

“And it’s always interesting to hear first hand from the person. I think lots of the things you’re doing in the sport are very interesting and of course, when you challenge the orthodoxy, people will push back against it.

“But I’m fascinated with what you’re doing, and your development and your format creation – and you’re making the fights happen.”

Jordan has been full of praise for Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the sport and their ability to make the big fights happen.

However, he has raised concerns about the detrimental affects it could have on British boxing if all the big fights continue to go to Saudi Arabia.

A point Alalshikh rebutted, saying: “Thank you, sir. There is some points I am with you and I can understand. Of course, you want the big fights in your country and I understand this.

“But boxing has a lot of problems and we want you and all the people and the fans to understand what we are doing, for that we invite you to the event.

“We don’t want to take the place of London or Las Vegas, but we want to put our city on the map and this our right.

“I want you and the honest guy to support us. Sometimes what bothers me is when they talk about sports washing and why it is in Riyadh.

‘Wonderful success’ – Zhilei Zhang explains Tyson Fury weight ‘blueprint’ he has used to prepare for Deontay Wilder fight

Zhilei Zhang has piled on the pounds ahead of his upcoming clash with Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.

The Chinese puncher is set to tip the scales at close to 300lbs for their bout on the unprecedented Queensberry vs Matchroom 5vs5 tournament.

Zhang is set to weigh in at a career-heaviest weight against Wilder
‘Big Bang’ weighed in at a career-heaviest 291lbs for his last outing against Joseph Parker.

But it appears he will surpass that figure when he steps on the scales on Friday afternoon as he looks to physically dominate Wilder like Tyson Fury did in their second and third fights.

Having boxed to a draw in their inaugural encounter, Fury opted to pack on 17lbs for their rematch in order to help him force Wilder onto his heels and nullify the American’s legendary punching power.

The plan worked to perfection, with Fury decking Wilder twice en route to a seventh round stoppage victory.

He added another 4lbs of mass for the trilogy and went on to knock out Wilder in the eleventh stanza after a far more competitive fight.

Inspired by Fury’s successes, Zhang is hoping to follow his blueprint this weekend.

“I have actually put on a lot of weight for this fight to prepare for Deontay Wilder,” Zhang told The Metro.

“From watching Tyson Fury’s fights against Wilder I believe Fury had some wonderful success when he put on a lot of weight.

“He was punching a lot harder and he was also able to absorb Wilder’s power.

“Right now I weigh about 295lbs. I think it is my personal record. Wilder is very dangerous, I have to give him a lot of respect.
Lawrence Okolie offers Oleksandr Usyk the opportunity to become three-weight world champion and also hints at potential fights with Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang
“But taking this approach will definitely change the dynamic of the fight.”

Adding extra weight to his already massive frame seems somewhat counterintuitive given the 41 year olds questionable gas tank.

In his last outing against Parker, Zhang had the Kiwi down twice in rounds three and eight, but seemingly lacked the conditioning to stop his adversary as he fell to defeat on points.

Only time will tell if coming up in weight will pay dividends for Zhang.

Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch will see boxers fight for staggering £45m more than stunning first fight purse

Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are reportedly expected to earn even more money for their second fight.

The heavyweight titans duked it out in a Saudi Arabia thriller in May for an estimated purse of £115million.

Fury is understood to have banked roughly £85m, while Usyk, who won all the belts, is said to have earned around £30m despite getting his hand raised via split decision.

They are now set to run it back on December 21 after Fury activated the two-way rematch clause in their contract.

Given how exciting their first fight was the rematch is generating even more interest and therefore more money.

According to the Sun, a staggering prize pot of £150m will be split between the pair at the back end of the year – a whopping £45m more than their May date.

The split hasn’t been disclosed in the report, although Usyk is expected to bank a lion’s share of the purse as he is now the A-side fighter.

Money was a point of contention when the fight first collapsed in early 2023.

Usyk had given into Fury’s demands for 70/30 split in the Brit’s favour.

However, he did so on the understanding that the split would be reversed should he win their first outing.

ESPN’s Mike Coppinger reported at the time that Fury was unwilling to compromise on anything greater than an even share which angered Team Usyk.

This caused Usyk to pull out of the fight until Saudi Arabia got involved and put up the money that both fighters wanted for the historic clash.

Fury claims Usyk was offered £13m for their fight which was initially been targeted for April 2023 at Wembley Stadium.

“Fact is he is a b***h ass p***y boy. Ran from 13 million pounds and now taking 6 million dollars. Joker,” said Fury in a furious social media rant when the fight collapsed.

By sitting it out, Usyk earned more than double for their fight at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh and is set to pocket an even bigger payday for bout number two.

Barriere only boxed out of Canada a couple of times – as a raw amateur and a pro – but already looks at home among the Traveller clan in Saudi Arabia.

The heavy-handed unknown is one inch taller than Usyk but usually boxes close to the same 16st the Ukraine icon prefers since moving up from cruiserweight.

The visitor – boxing DDD on the undercard of Fury’s trilogy fight with Derek Chisora at Spurs – almost pulled off a sensational upset.

Cherry picked as a warm-up opponent for Dubois to prepare for Usyk, Lerena was supposed to pose a few problems and collapse.

But he clipped Dubois around the temple and the loss of balance and belief sent him to the canvas three times in the opening rounds.

Then trainer Shane McGuigan did a superb job in helping Dubois recover and he scored a stoppage win in round three.

Lerena bounced back with two wins last year and is the perfect size and stance to imitate Usyk.

His heavy hands and solid resolve will also make him an ideal training partner for Fury to work alongside.

What sort of 19-year-old dreams of fighting Tyson Fury for Christmas? This special one.

In September the freakishly talented teen told us: “I know everyone wants to see the Fury vs Usyk fight for all of the belts but I only really want it so I hopefully get the chance to spar Tyson.

“I’m no help with the Ngannou fight but I do think I am ideal for Usyk so hopefully I get to go soon and learn from him.”

Thanks to manager Francis Warren, Itauma is in Riyadh right now imitating all the skills and threats that Usyk poses to the Gypsy King, while preparing for his eighth professional outing on the undercard.

With Opetaia now removed, Itauma has probably been promoted inside the ranks, too.

It will be a magnificent learning curve for the Kent wonderkid – who has been made mandatory challenger for the English title and plans to reign after the Fury-Usyk-AJ era winds down.

Anthony Joshua confirms plans for a forthcoming clash with Tyson Fury and assures fans that the highly anticipated British heavyweight showdown is on the horizon, promising an imminent spectacle.

Anthony Joshua has revealed that a fight with Tyson Fury is in the works and will take place ‘sooner rather than later’.

The proposed bout has been dubbed as the biggest fight in British boxing history, and fans have long dreamed about the prospect of the two heavyweights colliding inside the ring.

However, other fights for both opponents have stepped in the way, while Joshua has suffered a number of setbacks including a loss to Andy Ruiz Jr and back-to-back  defeats to Fury’s next opponent Oleksandr Usyk.

Joshua, appearing as a guest on Good Morning Britain, was asked whether a fight between the pair is on the cards.

In response, he told co-host Susanna Reid: ‘It is the golden question, I’d say sooner rather than later.

Anthony Joshua has revealed that a dream British showdown with Tyson Fury is ‘in the pipeline’

Joshua said that Fury is part of his ‘journey’ as long as he can complete his ‘checkpoints’

British boxing fans have long dreamed of a fight between the Gypsy King (pictured) and Joshua

‘It’s in the pipeline, it’s been bubbling for a long time and it has to happen.

‘We are with you guys. We’re talking about it, it’s definitely going to happen sooner rather than later – mark my words.’

When asked for more information on what he means by the fight being in the pipeline, he added: ‘Not in depth like that (finding a location and date for the fight) but there’s a map.

‘For example, someone would say ‘these are the checkpoints’ and if I can complete these checkpoints then Fury’s part of my journey and I’m part of his I’m sure as well – it would be silly not to.’

Joshua’s next checkpoint is a fight against former UFC star Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on Friday.

Ngannou poses a potentially dangerous opponent after the Cameroonian almost caused a shock against Fury back in October.

Despite being knocked down, Fury was awarded the victory in a controversial split decision outcome.

Fury will next step foot inside the ring in his delayed heavyweight unification showdown with Usyk on May 18.

Joshua recently bumped into Fury’s dad, John, in Riyadh, ahead of his fight with Ngannou.

When asked on GMB whether John also wanted the fight to take place, Joshua said: ‘I didn’t speak to him about it but I’m sure he does (want the fight) because as someone who is in the fight business, it’s just us going to work.

‘It’s an opportunity to work and this is what we do for our livelihoods. I’m sure he’s advising Fury to get in the ring, it’s a great fight, lets see who is the best of Great Britain and for the public it would be amazing.’

Humorously Self-Reflective: Tyson Fury Admits Anthony Joshua Executed the Ideal Boxing Strategy Against Ngannou.

The MMA fighter was unstoppable by Fury, who narrowly prevailed on points.

On Friday, Anthony Joshua stunned the boxing world by stopping Francis Ngannou in the second round in a knockout after two knockdowns in the first two rounds.

It was a major wake-up call for Ngannou, who had gone from mixed martial arts to boxing and had lost his first two fights against two of the top heavyweights in the history of the sport. Although some think it was an anomaly, the former UFC champion performed far better versus Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury thinks Francis Ngannou got “too cocky”

Before the fight, Fury had mentioned that he thought Ngannou had gotten too cocky following their fight together. After the Joshua knockout, Fury spoke about the fight.

“It was a fantastic knockout. It was a very rude awakening for Ngannou. He got a little bit cocky… He got knocked out, and that’s what a boxer should do to an MMA fighter.”

Essentially, Fury is saying that Joshua did what he himself should have done in the first fight against Ngannou. Many people in the boxing industry, including Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, believe that Fury simply didn’t prepare well enough for the fight. He underestimated Ngannou in a sense.

Joshua may have exposed Ngannou. It could also be that Joshua is simply at the top of his game, and Fury could be on the decline. An undisputed title fight against Oleksandr Usyk in May will tell all.

As will a potential subsequent fight between Fury and Joshua.

In the post, the celebrity hair pro captured photos of Kim, 43, as she pouted in a skintight black dress.

The Hulu star wore a full face of makeup, and ditched jewelry to draw attention to her new look.

Kim’s hair was styled in an updo, with choppy bangs and loose layers.

In contrast to her natural brunette, Kim’s hair was almost white in comparison to her dark roots.

    “Babewatch,” Chris captioned the photos.

In the comment section, however, fans weren’t keen on Kim’s bold look.

“She looks way way older with blonde,” one person said.

“The blonde makes her look harder. It’s not flattering,” said a second social media user.

“I’m sick of her white hair… it’s not pretty,” said a third.

“Please ditch the platinum. Otherwise, hot,” another fan weighed in.

Kim previously went a very light blonde while channeling Marilyn Monroe at the 2022 Met Gala.

Kim dyed her hair blond in 15-hour sessions for the event, in a “tedious” process taking two days.

However, fans didn’t think that the intense process was worth it, and claimed that the bleach ruined Kim’s real hair.

Kim revealed her blond hair without extensions in a TikTok with her daughter North West, 10.

Oh my god you guys, I just got Priscilla’s new hair extensions. I’ve been using Priscilla for the last, like, six months? And I’m obsessed.

“I can’t get over how thin it looks now,” one person said of her hair on Reddit.

“Her hair has definitely gotten thinner over the years. It’s not just the bleaching.

“It’s also the heat damage daily, the tight slicked back styles, wearing her hair super tight under wigs,” said a second.

Kim has been open about her frequent use of extensions and wigs.

“Oh my god you guys, I just got Priscilla’s new hair extensions. I’ve been using Priscilla for the last, like, six months? And I’m obsessed,” she once gushed on Instagram, referring to Keratin bond extensions from Priscilla Valles.

Kim also went blond for this year’s Met Gala, but didn’t win over fans with her look.

The Kardashians in attendance were all slammed for their “boring” looks, but Kim was particularly criticized.

For the red carpet event, she wore a silver archival John Galliano gown with a dramatic corset, and opted for a gray shawl over her shoulders.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans blasted the unusual look.

“She looks like she just woke up,” one critic wrote.

“All that, and she couldn’t do her hair?” asked a second.

‘Kim ripped off my design’ – all the times the Kardashians were accused of ‘stealing’ after Brit’s Skims claims

RECENTLY the fashion giant Kim Kardashian sent her fans into a frenzy with an adorable floral T-shirt.

The cotton ribbed garment, priced at £38, is an everyday classic that boasts a fitted silhouette… and also an allegedly ripped-off design which is reported to belong to a British influencer.

Last week, fashion blogger Camille Charrière shared side-by-side shots of her ”Baby Tee” with floral prints and a screenshot of the ribbed T-shirt by Skims.

As reported by Daily Mail, the London-based style whizz had worked with the British lingerie company Stripe & Stare to make the £45 wardrobe essential.

However, the garment – which is made from 95 per cent biodegradable products – bares a striking similarity to Kim Kardashian’s Marigold Rosebud Cotton Rib Tee.

Furious, Camille took to X, formerly known as Twitter, where she called out the reality TV star and socialite.

    BLOND BACKLASH

Kim Kardashian debuts blonde new hair – but fans say she ‘looks way older’

”Kim K/Skims has ripped off the one project that I put my heart & soul into, waved my fee for, and put out in a bid to platform one of the few brands who isn’t greenwashing,” she said.

”Worst part is felt reluctant to even share this because I feel the Kardashians do this kind of thing on purpose to create friction and stay relevant (whilst making billions).

“What a sad little life Jane.”

But while there has been scepticism about Camille’s claims, this is not the first time the 43-year-old billionaire and mum-of-four (and her sisters) have been accused of stealing designs from other fashion masterminds.

New Year – same Kim, 2023

Last year, just before New Year’s Eve, Kim found herself in some trouble after allegedly copying the design of an Agent Provocateur frock for her Skims dress.

Similarly to the sexy, figure-hugging number by the women’s intimate apparel, Kim’s version was a floor-length silky dress with unique cutouts on the back – which the stylish mum proudly showed off posing for the campaign herself.

Kim Kardashian debuts even blonder new shade of hair – but fans say ditching brunette locks makes her ‘look way older’
However, it wasn’t long before an eagle-eyed social media user noticed several alleged similarities between the two dresses and even managed to find a snap Dorit Kemsley wearing the Agent Provocateur frock in 2021, two years before Kim had launched her version.

    ‘MAKE SOME EFFORT’

“Looks like KK’s taken ‘inspiration’ from another more established designer again,” one person wrote.

“Dorit Kemsley wore this vintage Agent Provocateur dress to the People’s Choice Awards in 2021. I believe Xtina also wore it in a video.”

The critic went on: “It’s like they’re not even trying to make the stuff they’re shilling look any different from the stuff they’re paying ‘homage’ to anymore.

“I’d have thought, given past heat they got, they’d at least make some effort.”

    Met Gala drama, 2023

It looks like Kim must’ve hit a creative block in 2023, as before the New Year’s dress scandal the billionaire had found herself in yet another wardrobe drama at the star-studded Met Gala.

The then 42-year-old made sure all eyes were on her as she appeared a the prestigious fashion event wearing a custom-made Schiaparelli gown made entirely of strands of pearls.

The show-stopper of a look, which made headlines around the world, boasted a whopping 16,000 crystals and more than 50,000 freshwater pearls… as well as an angry designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee, who insisted he’d come up with the design ”first”.

The photo which the designer shared on Instagram showed Laura Govan at the 2022 Grammy Awards wearing a white dress with a similar pearl design and soon went viral.

People quickly flocked to hit back at Kim, with one declaring: “You did it first.”

Another social media user claimed: “Kim Kardashian stole your look,” while a third chimed in: “Come see here how Kim K stole @gertjohancoetzee design!”

    Fashion crime alert, 2019

With every new design that lands on the high street, it becomes harder to come up with something completely new – fail, and you may find yourself with an allegation of design plagiarism.

Unfortunately for Kim, this is exactly what happened when she’d curated her sunglass line in collaboration with Carolina Lemke, In Mashable reported.

After launching the summer accessory, Diet Prada – Instagram’s very own fashion police – noticed that something wasn’t quite right and started investigating.

According to the eagle-eyed style lovers, Kim’s design seemed to be very similar to a pair created by designer Emilio Pucci, one which the mum-of-four was spotted wearing in 2018.

This was a bit ironic, as that very same year, in 2019, Kim had sparred against Missguided for putting up a knock-off of a dress worn by the famous celeb.

The fashionista went on a rant on X, writing: ”It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas.”

No kidding, kids’ clothing line scandal, 2017

Meanwhile, back in 2017, the mum-of-four, came under fire for allegedly copying highly recognisable pieces for her kids’ clothing line.

As explained by Teen Vogue, the Instagram fashion pros, Diet Prada, called out the 43-year-old for two designs, citing a gorgeous silver sequin dress and a black bomber jacket as the biggest culprits.

The latter, they found out after diving deep into social media, looked eerily similar to a number by the Comme des Garçons x Kosho & Co collection.

After being slammed by critics, Kim’s team were quick to hit back, insisting that the designs were an “homage” to the fashion giants, adding they’d ”intended to donate the profits from those items to charity,” Page Six reported.

    Khlo no!

Unfortunately Kim is not the only Kardashian to face copyright issues – back in 2020, sister Khloe, 39, had found herself in legal trouble with her denim brand, Good American.

The reality TV star her partners were sued by a lesser-known designer Destiney Bleu and bosses at LA-based company dbleudazzled, who were seeking a staggering £7million in damages after accusing the mum-of-two ”of ripping off their bodysuit designs after purchasing pieces for her personal use’,” Yahoo! reported.

The original suit – which has since been dismissed after the two came to a mutual agreement – accused Khloe’s Good American ”of fraud and deceit, common law trade dress infringement, misappropriation, and unfair competition”.

It argued the influencer had “purchased and borrowed numerous pieces of Plaintiff’s clothing, under the false pretense that the clothing items were for Kardashian’s personal use”.

Instead, dbleudazzled claimed that Khloe actually had plans of creating her own clothing line with similar designs.

“Good American decided it would be easier to knock off the proven designs of an independent designer,” the suit read.

    Kylie stealing for Khy

Earlier this year, in March, fashion designer Jessica Johansen-Bell publicly accused the Kylie Cosmetics founder of taking her designs.

In the nearly two-minute video, the Johansen founder explained how her brand had launched a collection almost four years ago, whereas Kylie’s Khy version had come out later.

The Byron Baes star also share snaps and compared Johansen’s twisted shoulder dresses to Khy’s one-shoulder twist dresses.

“Guys, am I tripping? Or did Kylie Jenner rip off my entire collection?” Jessica said.

“So I reached out to her team, and they reached back pretty quickly. And they said: ‘We developed these designs through our team’s hard work and innovation.’”

“If you look up the meaning of innovation, it means a new idea. You guys are an inspiration,” she concluded.

In late February, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner brood promoted her one-shoulder suede minidress in a behind-the-scenes shot from her photo shoot.

    ‘Trash move!’

This is not the only time the self-made billionaire has been accused of stealing designs for her clothing line.

A year before the one-shoulder dress scandal, which led the star to being subbed ”diabolical” by critics, the fashion mogul was slammed by designer Betsy Johnson.

As reported by Daily Mail, Betsy claimed the concepts of Kylie’s ”affordable clothing line” had been copied from her label, Products.

“We emailed Kylie and all her team @products.ltd concept and language and a line sheet 6 MONTHS AGO,” she wrote on Instagram.

    “INTERESTING CONCEPT KYLIE:…INTERESTING.”

“Thanks for the co-sign. F**k your support.”

Betsy also shared a spreadsheet containing info about her student loan repayment and said she was due £48,294.43.

“While I stare @ my student debt.

“Worked my a** off for this. Like so many other working-class kids who bust their a** for the expertise they weren’t born into to realize their ideas.”

The Jenner has not responded to Betsy’s accusations.

    Bad taste from Kendall

The billionaire family are no strangers when it comes to controversies of stealing others’ work – and Kendall Jenner is no exception.

In 2021, the young model was slammed by a tequila company who accused the Jenner star of “copying” their brand and told The Sun they demand she changed 818’s name.

Texas-based company Tequila 512 bashed the 28-year-old on social media with a striking image that showed a message from a baffled shopper inquiring about the parallels.

The customer, named Aaron, asked: “Is that you or did someone copy you?”

Both Tequila 512 and Kendall’s 818 feature a similar bold black font that begins bigger at the top and shrinks towards the bottom.

The only difference appears to be yellow backing that’s behind the branding to make words pop against the clear glass.

The names, too, are similar and happen to be derived from the same inspiration – with 512 being the area code where the company is based (Austin, Texas), and 818 – where Kendall lives in Calabasas, California.

What’s more, 512 slammed Kendall even further, after pointing out that she uses the same agave farm and distillery their brand uses in Jalisco, México.

They wrote: “You may have seen that @kendalljenner released a “new” tequila today.

“Note the similarities, including the color, the name and it is made at the same distillery in Tequila Mexico as ours.

“Their batches are being distilled twice. Ours three times. Yet she is charging twice as much per bottle.

“And here we are getting messages like the one in this post image. Doesn’t seem very cool. What do you think?”

In a statement to The Sun, 512’s CEO Nick Matzorkis wondered how it would be “plausible” for the model to research and visit other distilleries in the Mexican to produce her tequila – but not come across a brand that’s “been around for 8 years and unanimously won Best in Show at prestigious world spirits competitions.

Nick said: “Tequila 512 will not be taking legal action against Kendall Jenner or her tequila brand, nor are we looking for an apology.

“We are, however, calling on her to change the name of her tequila and/or change the labelling to create a clear distinction.

“Confusion began in the marketplace as soon as they launched, given that Tequila 512 had just begun distribution in California in recent weeks starting in the 166 store Bevmo chain where they too are distributed.”

The Sun have reached out for comments from the brands.
