  • Fans Mourn Mike Tyson’S Trainer Cus D’Amato’S Death As A Video Of Him Explaining The Philosophy Of Fear And Fire Surfaces

Fans Mourn Mike Tyson’S Trainer Cus D’Amato’S Death As A Video Of Him Explaining The Philosophy Of Fear And Fire Surfaces

Cus D’Amato was a legendary trainer who managed to change the landscape of the sport and gifted the world ‘the Baddest Man on the Planet’- Mike Tyson. When a fighter steps into the ring to fight it is only natural that they may feel a multitude of emotions including fear, anticipation, and anxiety. D’Amato had a unique philosophy that centered around fear and its impact on fighters. He believed that fear was a natural response and an essential part of a fighter’s journey. Amato’s demise took place in 1985 but the impact that he has left on the sport is everlasting.

Moreover, he believed in using emotion as a tool to empower oneself. His teaching undoubtedly helped Tyson who was once the most feared boxer in the world. He even taught Tyson the peek-a-boo style, which brought his destructive power to whole another level. Recently, an old video of the late trainer surfaced on Instagram. In the video, D’Amato discussed the importance of fear in the sport.

He said, “Fear is very important thing in boxing because all fighters are afraid. As strange as it may sound to people who watch the fight. Now, fear is like fire. If you let it get out of control, it’ll destroy you and everything around you. You manage to control it, you can make it work for you.” To Cus, fear is not a handicap, but a utility that should be used to sharpen oneself.

Cus D’Amato left behind a legacy

As the video resurfaced, it soon went viral and fans started expressing their sentiments about the loss of the great trainer. They started to mourn his passing in response to the video. One such fan, Michele Scotti Belli pointed out the effect his death had on Tyson’s life, writing, “Unfortunately you left Mike way too early he wasn’t ready.”

Another fan, Rijad claimed, “He would have made a great war General.” Meanwhile, Leonardo Ponce added, “I really believed if cus d amato was still alive to train mike Tyson he would’ve been the best man I swear.”

Mark E decided to share his viewpoint on the subject of ‘fear’. He wrote, “Fear is very hard for me When I sparred other fighters. It’s very hard when you’re an over thinker . You can’t think you have to let your hands go.”As the world mourns the loss of Cus D’Amato, his legacy endures through these words and the fighters he molded. The fire of his wisdom continues to guide those who step into the ring, a reminder that fear, like fire, can either consume or empower – the choice is in the hands of the fighter. What do you think about the video? Do you agree with the message the legendary trainer was trying to give? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Baloo pointed out, “This is where Tyson got his control the fear analogy from. So much to boxing or any martial arts then just the physical aspect of it.” Though Point, disagrees with the trainer’s views, writing, “He tripping if you fear someone you a turkey.”

Another fan, Luke Lacroix added, “So this is where Rocky got the quote.”

  • Mike Tyson promised $620 million pot to face heavyweight champ

Mike Tyson promised $620 million pot to face heavyweight champ

After launching a successful comeback, Mike Tyson aimed to land a $620 million pot for a shot at the heavyweight championship.

Tyson is a money-making machine, but when a return to the big time presented itself recently, his numbers were eye-watering.

During his rebirth at fifty-plus, Tyson hoped to land astonishing cash to trade blows with the current heavyweight champion.

WBC ruler Tyson Fury revealed the demands laid down in a Zoom call by Tyson regarding a possible exhibition between the two as Iron Mike trained for his clash with Roy Jones Jr.

“The Gypsy King” was open to sharing a ring with Tyson, whom his father John named him after in the 1980s.

    Mike Tyson

Despite his advanced years, Tyson looked to get back in action and saw Fury as high-profile enough to discuss it.

Fury’s interview points to Tyson looking to put together a huge payday in a publicity stunt-type event.

“There was talk of it,” Fury said to iFL TV. “His people contacted me. Mike and I had a phone call. It was all real but never materialized.

“Whoever was offering the comeback money to Mike offered us peanuts.

    Half a billion

“Mike was talking about £500 million ($620 million) figures, but what came back to us on paper was a joke. It was crazy.

“I did have a $10m offer from ESPN to do the fight as an exhibition, but I think everyone has moved on now.

“I would have loved to share the ring with him and move around. But if he had won, then people would have said I was rubbish because a 53-year-old beat me. If I had beaten him, then I would have been a bully.

“It was a lose-lose situation for me. It was money; I didn’t need to fight a man past his best.”

Instead, Fury fought Deontay Wilder again. He defeated Dillian Whyte and, more recently, Derek Chisora [again].

A clash with Oleksandr Usyk fell apart despite the Ukrainian bowing to Fury’s contract stipulations more than once.

However, in contrast, Tyson hasn’t fought or even seemed to have another event in his locker since the Jones stalemate.

Training videos still pop up now and again, but there’s no real sense that Tyson will want another exhibition.

His first attempt made 1.5 million sales and cracked the Top 10 United States Pay Per Views. But it left a bad taste in Tyson’s mouth after falling out with Triller.

Tyson’s latest video teases another exhibition, with old foes Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield linked to filling a Pay Per View void.

Victoria Beckham seen escorting Harper out of restaurant as gory brawl breaks out

A fight is said to have broken out at Miami’s Gekko restaurant where Victoria Beckham and her daughter Harper were dining. Footage shows the ex Spice Girl saying goodbye to her youngest of four who left with a companion in a car, before Victoria returned to the venue.

Victoria Beckham was seen escorting 12-year-old daughter Harper Beckham out of Bad Bunny’s Gekko restaurant in Miami on Friday night, where a fight broke out.

The 49-year-old, alongside her husband David Beckham and their daughter Harper, dined at the Japanese steakhouse with footballer Lionel Messi, his wife Antonela, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

At around 10pm, a brawl is said to have gone down between a partygoer and security.

In footage obtained by the Mail Online, the ex Spice Girl is seen calmly putting Harper into a security-driven car outside of the venue.

It’s unclear if Harper’s exit was down to the fight taking place or the time of night, as Victoria didn’t appear to be in a rush or concerned.

Instead, as she said goodbye to Harper, she greeted somebody else she knew who walked up to the car.

Harper also briefly got out of the vehicle to give the man a hug before she got back in with a companion.

Following this, Victoria made her way back into the venue after the car drove off.

Moments after, a partygoer is seen speaking to the camera about an alleged attack by security.

He was seen with a bloodied face and claimed he was mistakenly accused of photographing celebrities in the venue.

He ranted to the camera: “We were trying to take a picture here, then they jumped at us, they kicked me out and punched me in the face.

“Just because my homeboy was trying to take a picture with his wife, not with Beckham or Messi, nothing. It was a family thing.”

The report added that David, Messi and his wife were discreetly escorted out of a back exit.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Victoria and Gekko restaurant for comment.

Lionel and David and their wives headed out on Friday to celebrate a 4-0 victory over Charlotte FC.

A lack of transparency still remains in the Christian Horner saga that has been going on for over a month now. In February of this year, Red Bull GmbH launched an investigation against the Briton for alleged “inappropriate behavior” towards a female employee. After a month of investigation conducted by an independent barrister hired by Red Bull GmbH, the grievance against Horner was dismissed. However, because of the lack of transparency, the nature of the investigation remains mysterious. Taking the point of longevity of the controversy into consideration, former Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel seems to have joined them as well. In a recent interaction with Sky News, the German former driver said,

Obviously there’s been a lot of talk since the beginning of the year. I think with these things, it’s always difficult to know everything. It would be nice if there was simply more transparency so that you could have more of an opinion. I think it’s always difficult if you read one thing, then another thing and then the opposite“.

The 36-year-old then went on to explain how it is nice for him to see that there are now more female employees working in F1. He believes that this change is positive and shows how the sport is growing to a wider audience.

However, with Red Bull GmbH having recently investigated Horner, the progress that the sport has witnessed recently could be impacted. Amid the controversy surrounding the Red Bull team principal, even famous F1 presenter Laura Winter explained how there is a sense of discomfort among some of the female workforce.

Laura Winter claims the Christian Horner saga has made the female workforce uncomfortable

Laura Winter recently appeared on The Fast and the Curious podcast when she revealed the impact of the Christian Horner saga on the female workforce of F1. She revealed that the saga has definitely made women more uncomfortable and that it is “not easy” for them to carry on in the sport at such a time.

The F1 presenter explained her point by giving the example of a message she received from a girl. “She had not wanted to watch free practice, she wasn’t going to watch qualifying, she wasn’t going to watch the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Because she didn’t feel comfortable that she had a place in the sport,” explained Winter.

Moreover, it is not only Winter who has voiced her concerns regarding the ongoing Christian Horner saga. Even a friend of the complainant explained in an interview with the BBC how the concerned woman is feeling “very angry” and “very lonely” because she fails to understand how Red Bull GmbH ended up dismissing her grievance.

The same report also adds that Red Bull GmbH has suspended the complainant. Since the complainant feels unjustly treated, other reports emerged that she contemplated approaching the courts.

However, another report claimed that Horner and Red Bull GmbH had a settlement with the complainant by giving her $1.1 million as a severance fee to close the matter once and for all.

Lewis Hamilton has arguably had one of the best partnerships in F1 history with Mercedes over the past decade. The Briton won six of his seven championships with the Silver Arrows, thereby moving past the five Michael Schumacher won with a single team (Ferrari) from 2000 to 2004. Without the help of Mercedes, Hamilton perhaps may have never had the opportunity to establish himself as one of the greatest drivers of all time. Sebastian Vettel discussed about the same in a recent interview, and in the process hilariously also blamed the Silver Arrows for not having the opportunity to achieve greater success himself.

It is a team sport and I think someone like Lewis has said that over and over again, thanking the team around him. I think without Mercedes, Lewis’ career would have been very different,” said Vettel, in an interview with Sky Sports. The German former driver then ended his remarks by adding with a laugh, “Mine too, but that’s how it goes.”

For long, Vettel has been one of the only championship contenders against Hamilton. Vettel and Hamilton dominated the 2010s as they won nine of the 10 titles between 2011 and 2020 (Nico Rosberg won in 2016). Had it not been for Hamilton’s success with Mercedes from 2014 to 2020 (six titles), Vettel could have managed to win more championships.

After Vettel and Hamilton dominated the 2010s, it seems that it is Max Verstappen’s time now. The Dutchman has already won three consecutive championships from 2021 to 2023 and could even win a fourth in a row this year. While it is the Red Bull driver who is on top now, Hamilton has suffered a massive downfall recently.

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes’ domination ended after 2021

Although Lewis Hamilton managed to launch a valiant effort for the championship in 2021, he has been nowhere close from the 2022 season onwards. The reason has been the regulation changes.

Red Bull aced the new ground-effect regulations by designing an utterly dominant car in 2022 and helped Max Verstappen dominate the campaign. While the Dutchman went on to win 15 races that year, Lewis Hamilton failed to win any.

The Briton’s winless run continued in 2023 and does not look to stop anytime soon, considering the way he has begun his campaign this year. Since the 39-year-old is still struggling with Mercedes, he shocked the entire F1 community a few months ago when he revealed his decision to snub Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025.

With regulations set to change once again in 2026, Hamilton and Ferrari could emerge on top by then. That is exactly what the Briton is hoping for as he continues his quest for a record-eighth championship.

Tommy Fury won his bout against KSI via unanimous decision

Molly-Mae Hague says she 'let herself down' at Tommy Fury's fight with KSI because of 'embarrassing' behaviour

Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that she let herself down during Tommy Fury’s fight with KSI.

Last Saturday, Fury and KSI entered the ring to settle their differences in front of a packed-out AO Arena in Manchester.

After six rounds of action, it was Fury who got his arm raised as he won by unanimous decision.

At the time, KSI labelled the result as a ‘robbery’ as the YouTuber turned boxer was adamant he won the fight.

Speaking in her recent YouTube video, Fury’s fiance, Hague has revealed she felt like she let herself down during the event.

She said: “I more than anything slightly embarrassed myself as Tommy’s support system at the fight because honestly, my head was on the ground the whole entire fight. I physically could not lift up my chin to look at the ring and watch the fight.

“I feel like I kind of let myself down. I really wanted to be a stronger support system for him. I feel like I was, up until the point of the actual fight. I was a mess, a literal mess. I couldn’t eat, couldn’t speak, and literally felt like I was going to faint and be sick.”

Hague continued: “I think it’s the pressure of being his support system and being the only one who truly knows how he feels and knows him inside out.”

Earlier in the month, Fury revealed the only reason why Hague tolerates boxing.

He said: “Molly watches the ground while I fight. She only tolerates boxing because she knows how happy it makes me. That’s it. Other than that she hates it. She doesn’t like talking about it, she doesn’t like watching it, nothing, which I can understand.

“She’s watching her partner, the father to her baby, getting in the ring, have a fight and get punched up. It’s not a nice feeling to go through so I commend her, I do.”

Anthony Joshua could return in December on the undercard of a huge event.

Anthony Joshua faces being on the undercard for his next fight in embarrassing step down

Anthony Joshua is reportedly set to fly back to Texas to start training camp ahead of a December fight.

Joshua hasn’t fought since his devastating knockout victory over Robert Helenius in August.

He’s on a two-fight winning streak, having suffered back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

A blockbuster Saudi Arabia showdown against Deontay Wilder had been mooted but talks broke down.

Joshua vs Wilder appears unlikely to take place this year, with a March or April date suggested.

In the meantime, the 34-year-old could have a tick over bout in December ahead of potentially facing off against ‘The Bronze Bomber’.

He could appear on the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn bill on December 23 in Abu Dhabi, which is being planned by Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, according to The Sun.

So, that would see Joshua compete on the undercard, which would be his first non-main-event fight since 2015.

He fought Kevin Johnson on the undercard of Matchroom’s ‘Rule Britannia’ card, which saw Kell Brook take on Frankie Gavin in the main-event.

An opponent for December hasn’t been named, but, as an interim clash, it’s unlikely to be a major contender in the heavyweight division.

If Hearn is unable to strike a deal with Team Wilder, then they could turn to IBF mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic, who boasts a 16-0 professional record.

On Joshua vs Wilder, the Matchroom chief said: “We were offered a deal that we accepted [but it fell through]. It’s not my fault now that some of the alternatives may not be anywhere near the last number, so that makes us reconsider our options.

“We’re also in line potentially to fight for the IBF world title vs Filip Hrgovic/Otto Wallin. So I don’t care about Deontay Wilder, he’s in his own problems, the guy ain’t fought for a year and his last fight was about 40 seconds. He don’t really wanna fight, I don’t think.”
