Eddie Hearn gives straight answer when asked who won between KSI and Tommy Fury, it's telling

Eddie Hearn has revealed who he thinks won the controversial fight between KSI and Tommy Fury last night.

Fury beat KSI by majority decision in the main-event of the bumper Misfits Boxing card on Saturday.

That’s despite being deducted a point in the second round for another punch to the back of his opponent’s head.

An error on the scorecards has since been spotted following the contentious decision.

KSI fumed at the scorecards after the bout and wants to appeal the result.

“It’s a robbery, how many jabs did he land? I’m the YouTuber, you’re the boxer, I understand, you have to win,” he said immediately after the six-round clash. “I want to appeal.”

DAZN CEO Joe Markowski agreed with KSI’s robbery claim and the influencer also has the backing of Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn.

Speaking after the fight, Hearn was asked whether the right man won the main-event contest to which he replied: “No, he [Fury] had a point deducted.

    “KSI won the fight.”

The 30-year-old’s last two bouts have ended in controversial fashion, having had his win over Joe Fournier overturned to a no-contest following an elbow in the finishing sequence – and now his narrow defeat to Fury.

A rematch between KSI and Fury could be explored, but the unbeaten professional boxer vowed to leave crossover boxing, before opening the door for a potential fight against the Paul brothers.

“A lot went on in the build-up. I’m done with this crossover sh*t,” he told Ariel Helwani in the ring.

However, he then added: “Any of the Pauls want it, I welcome it with open arms.”

“Insane”: Rare Moment Where Muhammad Ali Was Scared for His Life Still Sends Fans Into Frenzy

Boxing Kingdom shared a clip from the 1977 release ‘The Greatest,’ starring Muhammad Ali, who played himself. The intriguing footage shows an enraged Sonny Liston firing blanks at Muhammad Ali and his entourage in a Las Vegas casino. Roughly five million people have already viewed the post. A commotion ensued in the comments section, as it mostly happens with anything and everything that has to do with the greatest.

The post did a commendable job of adding a disclaimer about the video. Veteran actor Roger E. Mosley played the role of Sonny Liston. While the majority of fans poured out their love and admiration, a few got busy with contrasts in times. Let’s see what they had to say.

The time Muhammad Ali’s fear gripped fans

Finding the footage out of this world, the following user could exclaim, “Insane.”

This fan managed to draw an analogy. Many deride modern-day YouTubers for their theatrical ‘beef’ that could bring irredeemable disgrace to boxing. However, they tend to neglect all the promotional activities that Muhammad Ali participated in in the days gone by to attract more attention.

Focusing on the clip, the following user highlighted Ali’s infamous zero-to-one hundred miles-per-hour sprint at the sight of a firearm. The user quoted the saying about no one or nothing ever frightening a person except for actual danger.

In New Grappler Baki, why was Muhammad Ali Jr. built up into such a monster, only to be quickly broken into a joke? What was the point of this? - Quora

The following fan also drew comparisons. Dillon Danis has habitually shared a woman’s (read, Nina Agdal’s) photo now and then to promote his upcoming bout with Logan Paul. Whereas in the past, such innocuous movies did the job satisfactorily.

This is another fan who took a dig at the footage. He declared that Muhammad Ali must have bit down on the bullet, spat it out, and proclaimed himself the greatest of all time.

Released across the United States and the United Kingdom on May 19, 1977, ‘The Greatest’ covered different phases of Muhammad Ali’s life. From the time he won the Olympic gold medal in Rome to the Sony Liston matches, it touched on his embracing Islam and refusal to enlist in the U.S. Army, resulting in a three-year ban from boxing. Finally, he returned in 1970 and became a world champion after the 1974 ‘Rumble in the Jungle.’

Victoria Beckham is ditching her signature heels — and we don’t blame her.

The fashion designer and former Spice Girls singer, 49, who broke her foot back in February after an accident in the gym, was pictured wearing Nike sneakers in Paris on Wednesday.

Going against her usual high heels look, the fashionista held onto her black crutches as she sported a matching sweatshirt, leggings and a large pair of sunglasses.

She also let her hair flow down as she sported a black purse that was strapped around her body, as well as a white sock.

Her sneaker made sense, though, considering she’s still recovering from her broken foot and she’s clearly out in athleisure. Who wants to run errands in heels?

Carlos Sainz romped to a dominant win at the 2024 Australian GP, just days after his appendicitis surgery. Now, in the aftermath of his recent run of form in 2024, former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer has hailed him as the best driver of this season so far. Palmer has placed the Spaniard even above three-time world champion Max Verstappen.

On the BBC’s F1: Chequered Flag podcast, hosts Jennie Gow, Palmer, and Andrew Benson discussed about the #55 driver’s performances this year. Palmer then asked the panel, “Is he [Sainz] the best driver so far”. The former Renault driver said that for him Sainz has been the best.

During the season-opening Bahrain GP, Sainz took the chequered flag to give Ferrari their first podium of the new season. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, finished behind him in fourth.

Sainz then had to miss the Saudi Arabian GP, owing to his appendicitis diagnosis. However, he came back with a sensational win at the Australian GP. His win at Melbourne Park has skyrocketed his demand in the driver’s market.

While Benson disagreed with Palmer’s conclusion of placing Sainz above Verstappen, the former Renault driver defended the #55 driver by labeling him as the driver “making the difference” currently. Sainz is indeed one of the most sought-after drivers on the grid as of now. Now, it will be interesting to see who signs him for 2025 and beyond.

Who is Carlos Sainz going to drive for in 2025?

Carlos Sainz will make way for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari next year. Since the 29-year-old’s future is uncertain, he naturally will be eager to secure himself a seat at a top team for 2025 and beyond.

As things stand, there are rumors of three teams having an interest in signing the Spaniard. They include Sauber, Red Bull, and Mercedes.

Sauber, who are set to be reborn as Audi in 2026, were linked to Sainz strongly in the past. While Sainz too would like the opportunity to become a team leader of a project that may reap benefits in the future, he may not want to slip back into the midfield after three solid years in the front of the pack with Ferrari.

After his win in Australia two weekends ago, Sainz has reportedly become a prime candidate for that second Red Bull seat in 2025. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has all but confirmed the same.

Meanwhile, with Hamilton’s departure from Mercedes, Sainz could potentially also sign for the Silver Arrows with him rumored to have got the attention of team principal Toto Wolff. But Sainz’s move to either Red Bull or Mercedes is contingent on the future of two drivers – Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.

If Verstappen does make the move to Mercedes, Sainz could slot into Red Bull. But if Alonso sets his sights on Mercedes and Verstappen elects to stay with Red Bull, then Andrew Benson believes that the teams would not want to choose Sainz over the two world champions.

Red Bull might have a vacancy on their team next year with Sergio Perez’s current deal set to expire at the end of the season. With Perez still not able to match up to his three-time world champion teammate Max Verstappen, a reputed German source has claimed that Christian Horner is eager to see Fernando Alonso drive for his side from next year onwards.

On the BBC’s F1: Chequered Flag podcast, former Renault driver Jolyon Palmer revealed that veteran German F1 journalist Michael Schmidt believes that Alonso could be a Red Bull driver next year. “He [Schmidt] thinks that Christian Horner wants Fernando Alonso in that car next year”, revealed Palmer.

The hosts on the show theorized how Alonso most likely would be able to extract the maximum out of the car at Milton-Keynes, at least more than what Sergio Perez has been able to do in all the years that he’s been with them. Red Bull perhaps would be considering an “upgrade” for next year after what transpired at the Australian GP.

With Max Verstappen out, Sergio Perez’s gap to the front runners was exposed with calls of sacking him being made immediately in the race’s aftermath. That being said, Alonso isn’t the only driver on Red Bulls’ shortlist. Red Bull has several options to choose from, with the contracts of several drivers expiring at the end of this year.

Who are the candidates for the second Red Bull seat in 2025?

As things stand, Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo, and Yuki Tsunoda are all in the mix for Sergio Perez’s seat next year. But things can change very quickly at the team, with star driver Max Verstappen’s future also up in the air owing to recent events.

If the Dutchman does choose to leave the team, this could throw the entire system at Red Bull into a frenzy. The #1 driver is rumored to be on Mercedes’ watchlist who want to capitalize on the rumored unrest within Red Bull. The Silver Arrows reportedly want to poach the 26-year-old as a replacement for the outgoing Lewis Hamilton.

Ever since the Christian Horner saga came to light, rumors have suggested an internal power struggle between Horner, Helmut Marko, and the Verstappens. With the Thai majority of the company reportedly in Horner’s favor, Max could potentially decide to leave the team.

However, rumors of a potential exit for Max Verstappen have recently subsided. This may mean that the team will once again begin to focus on Perez’s performances and scrutinize him for the rest of the 2024 season.

McLaren is one of the very few sides who seem to have certainty about their driver line-ups for the future. With Lando Norris having signed a contract extension last year, McLaren now have both their drivers on long-term deals. However, things could all change as per the recent chatter in the paddock. F1 insider Lawrence Barretto suggests Red Bull could still sign Norris despite the Briton having extended his deal with the Woking-based outfit.

While speaking to Will Buxton ahead of this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix, Barretto said, “History suggests, of course, they are going to have a go at Lando. Why won’t they not have a go at Lando? They have been trying basically every single year. He has a contract with McLaren, but that has not stopped them (Red Bull) in the past“.

Norris is one of the frontrunners to get a seat at Red Bull after his stellar performances recently. The Briton grabbed seven of the nine podiums for McLaren last season.

Moreover, even this season, the 24-year-old has already clinched one podium (Australia) despite McLaren not having one of the quickest cars. If Red Bull does show an interest in Norris, it will most likely be Sergio Perez who will make way.

The Mexican underperformed in comparison to Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen by a huge margin last season. Although Perez managed to finish second in the championship, he only managed to score 285 points. In stark contrast, Verstappen finished the campaign with 575 points.

However, if Red Bull do decide to part ways with Perez, then Norris isn’t the only driver who is on their shortlist. Red will also evaluate the performances of current V-CARB drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda over the rest of the 2023 campaign.

Will Red Bull replace Sergio Perez?

Both Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda have made it abundantly clear that their goal is to clinch Sergio Perez’s seat at Red Bull. Since that seat at the Milton Keynes-based outfit is one of the most sought-after, there is no secret that both Ricciardo and Tsunoda will have to consistently deliver strong performances to convince the bosses to consider them.

Tsunoda seems to be on the right track at the moment. The Japanese driver has already scored six valuable points for V-CARB after his outstanding seventh-place finish in Melbourne.

However, when it comes to Ricciardo, his struggles continue. Not only has the Australian failed to score a point so far this season, but he has also massively underperformed when compared to Tsunoda. As a result, it seems unlikely that Red Bull will sign Ricciardo based on his current form.

While Tsunoda could most likely be Red Bull’s preferred pick between himself and Ricciardo, one cannot rule out the possibility of Sergio Perez retaining his seat. The Mexican has kickstarted the 2024 campaign in decent fashion, having clinched two second-place finishes after the first three races.

Max Verstappen recently poked George Russell by reminding him about what happened to him in Australia. As the Mercedes driver was speaking about moving on from the incident involving Fernando Alonso during the media day in Japan, Verstappen mocked his fellow F1 star.

Russell, who spoke to the media for the first time since the incident, mentioned that he met with Alonso in a coffee shop while they were on their way home. Before the British driver could even finish, Verstappen came up with a hilarious jibe. The Dutchman said, “Did you brake test him there?

Russell, who was speaking about how “it’s nothing personal” on the track “when the helmet is on“, couldn’t resist but laugh upon hearing the Dutchman. The journalists present there had a laugh as well.

Russell had a race to forget in Melbourne after he experienced a high-speed shunt at Albert Park. As he was racing Alonso for P6, a sudden lapse of concentration saw him slide into the gravel and slam against the barrier with a big impact.

Following the hit, Russell’s W-15 ended up being ricocheted back onto the track. This led to the Mercedes driver desperately calling for the race to be red-flagged, but in vain.

How dangerous was George Russell’s crash in Melbourne?

As George Russell was stranded with his W-15 in the middle of the track following the high-speed shunt, this could have turned into a nightmare if the drivers behind rammed into him. Anticipating this, Russell screamed for help. “Red flag, Red flag, Red flag, I’m in the middle of the track,” squealed the horrified Briton.

Albert Park allows drivers to reach a speed of 250 kilometers [155 mph] per hour on average, and therefore, the risk was quite high. Despite this, the FIA did not pay heed to Russell’s plea and let the race continue under the Virtual Safety Car.

This decision by the FIA angered a large section of fans who took to social media to vent their frustrations. The fans, in their uproar, questioned the safety of drivers in such a grave situation.

In the build-up to the 2024 Japanese GP, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was asked about the team orders he received during the Australian GP about not fighting his teammate, Carlos Sainz, who eventually went on to win the race. Explaining the team’s position, the #16 driver accepted that they made the right decision.

Leclerc was quoted on X (formerly Twitter) by Junaid Samodien as saying, “At one point I was asked not to fight and honestly, it made sense. I don’t think that in any case, I would have had the opportunity because Carlos and I found ourselves with slightly different strategies.”

Sainz actually did have the edge over the Monegasque in terms of his tires. As Leclerc explained, there was only one stint during the race when he was on fresher rubber than his teammate.

This meant that the #55 driver would always have had a pace advantage, and an on-track battle between the duo would’ve only lost the team time and perhaps also track position. Throughout the race, the Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc were locked in a battle with the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

The MCL38 seemed to match the SF-24, on pace, but over a race distance, Ferrari did have a slight advantage over the Woking-based team. While Norris threatened Leclerc in the dying moments of the Grand Prix for second, the iconic Italian team was able to secure a 1-2 finish.

This was their first 1-2 since the 2022 Bahrain GP. This was down to the team orders as Leclerc and Sainz avoided handing any advantage over to the McLarens by not tripping over each other during the race.

Can Ferrari repeat their Australian GP heroics at the 2024 Japanese GP?

Ferrari have considerably reduced the gap they had to Red Bull last year. The SF-24 seems to be a very well-developed car that according to reports is an evolutionary concept.

During practice, Red Bull’s disadvantage was apparent as they suffered from front graining and understeer. This translated during the race as well as Sergio Perez, the lone RB20 on track after Verstappen’s DNF, lapped on an average five tenths slower than the Ferraris.

That being said, it could be a circuit-specific problem for Red Bull, and the Ferrari is still quite some margin behind the Milton-Keynes-based team on pure pace. With the Japanese GP up next, the Suzuka International Circuit has been historically a track where Red Bull have performed exceptionally well.

Fernando Alonso got a post-race time penalty after the Australian GP ended, for potentially “dangerous driving” that demoted him two places in the final result classification. The Spaniard did some strange maneuvers in Turns 6-7 that perhaps caught George Russell out, causing his Mercedes W15 to crash out of the race. The FIA stewards released a detailed statement on why they penalized the Aston Martin driver, citing how his lifting, braking, and downshifting maneuvers that caused his car to slow down abnormally were “extraordinary” in nature. Charles Leclerc agrees with this notion and has called for stricter penalties for similar moves in the future.

According to Motorsport-Total.com, Leclerc said, “It was too much and had to be punished.” The Monegasque driver went even further to suggest that in such cases time penalties don’t have the same effect every time.

“As a driver, you can currently be unlucky if the safety car comes out shortly before the end and you are passed from P5 to P20 in such a scenario. But Fernando only lost two positions [due to the subsequent drive-through penalty]”, he cited.

Leclerc feels that positional penalties can set the standard on a fairer level to penalize all similar incidents. Currently, when the stewards add time penalties to a driver’s overall race time, it may not affect their position too much, if the gaps in the field spread are big.

Regardless, Alonso‘s incident with Russell was very peculiar and caused immense uproar. It is safe to say that all drivers have a split opinion on whether the Spaniard was at fault or not.

Besides the two concerned drivers themselves arguing the for and against sides, many including Leclerc, Lando Norris, Nico Hulkenberg, Oscar Piastri, etc. have given their thoughts on the aftermath of this penalty as well.

Lando Norris argues for Fernando Alonso and asks George Russell to be more careful

While Charles Leclerc agrees that Fernando Alonso drove too aggressively which inadvertently led to George Russell’s crash, Lando Norris is on the Spaniard’s side. The McLaren driver highlighted that Russell should have been more careful.

Norris said, “George had time to see what was happening. He should have seen it coming.” The Briton felt that Alonso’s maneuver was not a “brake test” as such. While he agreed that the two-time champion was “cleverly” trying to do something, Norris feels it wasn’t very “aggressive”.

The #4 driver cited how a racer needs to react to everything that may happen around them. So, it was Russell’s responsibility too, to be more careful and react to Alonso’s maneuver. Norris also feels contrary to the stewards who have penalized and punished Alonso, which doesn’t make sense to him.

The Aston Martin driver hit the same notes as Norris, in a much more aggressive way just after the race ended in Melbourne. Alonso posted a long post on his socials, reacting to the penalty he received, and slammed the stewards by arguing about how his maneuvers from the Australian GP are part of the art of racing.

This was because the stewards claimed that they only penalized Alonso due to his erratic maneuvers and not by considering its effect of Russell crashing out. While it prematurely ended and cost the #63 driver, the Spaniard may not have intended to do so.

Nonetheless, Russell’s crash meant Mercedes suffered its first double DNF in a race for the first time since Austria in 2018. So, as the F1 circus resumes in Japan, it will be interesting to see how Alonso and Russell pick up from where they left off, as even Suzuka is a fast-flowing track that often features several incidents.

Lewis Hamilton has given Mercedes a big headache with his move to Ferrari in 2025. As the Briton is leaving, there is a huge vacuum at the Brackley-based team for next season, as to who will partner George Russell. While Hamilton could be least bothered about who his successor will be, one of his former rivals and friends has piqued the 39-year-old’s interest as a candidate for Mercedes. There have been reports of Sebastian Vettel having an interest in returning to F1 with the vacancy at the Silver Arrows. Hamilton feels this could be the perfect arrangement for both Vettel and Mercedes.

According to ESPN, the Briton said, “I would love for Seb [Vettel] to come back and I think it would be an amazing option for the team. German driver, multi-world championship-winning driver, and someone who has amazing values who would continue to take the team forward. I’d love it if he came back”.

Hamilton hit the nail on the head with the German connection that could make Vettel the perfect candidate for Mercedes. When the four-time champion retired from F1, he mentioned that he would only return if he gets a project that interests him enough.

Previously, there have been reports that connected Vettel to Audi, which is also a German brand entering F1 in 2026. Similarly, Mercedes would want to have someone like Vettel in their car as well. However, for the former Red Bull driver, the competitiveness of Mercedes would be the key factor to consider.

Vettel won’t want to return to just fight for points and the occasional podium – the exact reason Lewis Hamilton is leaving in the first place. So, while the seven-time champion approves that Vettel could be the perfect choice, the German may think twice before advancing talks with Toto Wolff.

How likely is it that Sebastian Vettel returns to F1 with Mercedes?

From Mercedes’s perspective, they would most likely be keen to see Sebastian Vettel drive for them in 2025. Toto Wolff is quite open to all sorts of options to replace Lewis Hamilton. The Austrian’s openness is evident with his indirect pitching of Max Verstappen as a potential successor for Hamilton!

There have been reports that Wolff has also been in touch with Vettel. The latter even opened up about the same in an interaction with Sky Sports F1 lately. However, Vettel cited that they only discussed the current happenings and how the sport will see several changes, rather than a specific discussion on any return prospects.

Nonetheless, the 36-year-old will keep any such conversations under wraps, as he will look to assess how competitive a car Mercedes can provide him. Besides, the four-time champion is also aiming for a return to racing in a non-F1 category.

Vettel tested for Porsche Penske’s WEC team, driving their HyperCar recently. This news led to immense speculation on what the German racer is planning to do. Many suggest that Vettel would want to drive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the HyperCar category, be it this year or in 2025.

While he mentioned that the test did not mean much and it was “fun”, he did not categorically deny a racing return in WEC. If Vettel has the racing spark and motivation left, he would look to assess all his options, including F1 and WEC, and take a call soon.
