The former Manchester United and England midfielder, 48, was on hand to watch his side lose 2-1 at home to Monterrey in the Concacaf Champions Cup first leg on Wednesday evening.

Observing from the sidelines, a smartly dressed Beckham – wearing the signature blue suit he typically pulls on for such occasions – was accompanied by three of his four children with former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

On hand to witness the defeat, sons Brooklyn, 25, Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, 12, sat alongside their father as the team relinquished their one goal lead.

After getting an 89th-minute winner from Jorge Rodriguez, Monterrey take a 2-1 lead into the second and final leg of the total-goal series on April 10 in Guadalupe, Mexico.

Even without the superstar, Miami went up 1-0 on a 19th-minute goal from Tomas Aviles.

The Herons were still on top when they lost midfielder David Ruiz to a second yellow card in the 65th minute.

Monterrey pulled level four minutes later on a goal from Maximiliano Meza, then jumped on top in the waning minutes.

The decisive tally was set up by an Inter Miami giveaway at the edge of the penalty area.

Meza laid the ball off to Rodriguez, who set the ball up with his first touch, then fired a 20-yard, right-footed shot into the far top corner.

Messi, who missed his fourth straight game because of a right hamstring injury, has not played since March 13, and also missed Argentina´s exhibitions last month against El Salvador and Costa Rica.

It isn’t yet clear when the 36-year-old Messi will return. Inter Miami and Monterrey are scheduled to play the second leg of the quarterfinal in Mexico on April 10. Inter Miami will also play an MLS match against Colorado on Saturday.

‘Every day he’s feeling better. It would have been too much of a risk today,’ Inter Miami coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino said through an interpreter after the match.

He added that Messi will continue to be game-to-game.

But in terms of the collaboration itself, which marks her first foray into designing for children, Beckham says it was a natural evolution given that, “I have so much fun dressing Harper and can take what I’ve learned from having a daughter and really use that when designing this collection for little girls. I know what they like, I know what’s comfortable for girls, and Harper was really involved in the whole process and she has her collection and she loves wearing it.” She added, “This collection really makes me smile.”

She also touched again on that moving letter she wrote for British Vogue, talking about her early years in the industry, saying, “I was bullied at school. I wasn’t the smartest, I wasn’t the most talented when I went to theater school, and yet I worked really, really hard and every time someone knocked me down, I got up and I started again. And I look at that and I think that’s a positive message, that if i can do it anyone can do it. If you work hard enough and you focus then you can achieve really great things.”

A sense of work ethic she’s also passed down to her children, explaining that she’s, “definitely not a pushover and neither is David,” in fact, she adds they’re quite, “strict with the children. They’re happy kids but they’re very polite children, they work hard at school, they know that they have to work hard and their work has to be done on time. We are constantly checking their grades at school, we’re always at parent’s evening, and the most important question that we always have is, ‘are they nice kids and are they well-behaved?’ It’s not about how academic they are. It’s a really happy household, there’s always music on, there’s singing and dancing.” But she adds, she couldn’t do it all without the help of her devoted husband David Beckham.”He’s my soulmate…he inspires me every day. We’re lucky to have each other.”

While all of that’s great, there’s really only one question that everyone is dying to know, and that’s will there be a Spice Girls reunion? Unfortunately, however, Beckham only has bad news on that front, telling Savannah Guthrie, “There won’t be a reunion because I think that when we performed at the Olympics it was so great and that was us celebrating everything we’ve achieved. But I still talk to all the other girls, we’re still very close, but I think you need to know when it’s time to say, that was great, we achieved a lot, and everyone moves on.” Guthrie inquired, “So does that mean Posh is gone?” to which the former girl group member quipped, “I’ll always be Posh.”

On Tuesday, the fashion mogul, 47, posted an Instagram photo in a little black dress reminiscent of the ones she often wore during her time as the impossibly chic and most fashionable member of the Spice Girls. “Posh washed up on a Florida beach! 😂” she joked in the caption.

Victoria accessorized the timeless frock with oversized sunglasses and a trendy Bottega Veneta green Cassette bag as she posed in the sand with her hip popped and one arm up.

One clever fan referenced the film in the comment section of Victoria’s latest beachside Instagram post with a famous Posh Spice quote: “This dress is dry clean only Melanie!!”

“I was always the one that loved fashion and it was quite a [good] result for me,” she said at the “Vogue 100″ exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in 2019, according to the U.K.’s The Sun. “Because the girls always used to get their clothes for free, because they were crap, and so there was a lot of budget for me to have my little Gucci dress.”

The star parlayed that budget (and the accompanying fame) into a career of posing in gorgeous outfits with a stern expression. She has a successful fashion line, is married to the equally stylish David Beckham and has four kids who seem to be following in her footsteps.

Earlier this year, 18-year-old Romeo Beckham made his magazine debut for the first of four covers of L’Uomo Vogue‘s Generation Issue. Victoria Beckham’s daughter has nailed the safety/style combo.

On Monday morning, the fashion designer showed off 9-year-old Harper Seven’s glam look that was put together for her in honor of her mother’s latest digital presentation for her Spring Summer 2021 collection.

Rocking a child-size version of the Long-sleeved Panelled Midi Dress in Floral Print ($1,850) from the Pre Autumn Winter 2020 collection, Harper accessorized with a protective facemask in the same print, “made specially for her by the atelier team,” Victoria explained in her Instagram post.

The former Spice Girl gave a closer glimpse at her daughter’s dress and mask on her Instagram Story, saying, “So this is the dress that the atelier have made for Harper to wear to the presentation.”

“And look, they even made her a cute little mask in the same print, which is just so sweet,” added Victoria, 46, of the mask, which also boasted Harper’s initials in red stitching. “I have to say, she looks absolutely incredible in this dress. Such a pretty print.”

Photos posted from the presentation to both Victoria and husband David Beckham’s Instagram account showed the whole family (aside from eldest son Brooklyn Beckham) gathered for the socially distant show.

Aside from Harper in her purple-and-yellow ensemble, the rest of the group — dad David, 45, plus big brothers Cruz David, 15, and Romeo James, 18 — donned black-and-white attire and matching black masks.

“My favourite (and only) guests this season! 😂” Victoria joked in the caption. “Love you all so much @davidbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xx we missed you @brooklynbeckham @nicolannepeltz.”

Actress Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn’s fiancée, wrote in the comments, “Beautiful family! ❤️ we miss you all so much!!”

While Victoria’s career is primarily fashion-focused these days, she’s not afraid to tap into her Posh roots from time to time with her youngest child and only daughter.

Last month, the mother of four shared a sweet snapshot with Harper, in which she held up a peace sign (a signature Spice Girls move!) as her daughter captured the mirror selfie.

Vows aren’t the only thing tying Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz Beckham together.

On Saturday, Nicola, 29, shared a post on her Instagram Story that showed off her husband’s latest tattoo — a love note she wrote to the oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham before the two got married nearly two years ago.

“My forever boy. Read this anytime you feel anxious,” the note, which is written in a cursive-like font below Brooklyn’s neck, begins. “I want you to know how deeply loved you are. You have the kindest heart I’ve ever met and hope I never go a day without your love.”

“I think you are so incredible. Just know we can get through it all together if you breathe slow and trust. I love you beyond,” the note continues, before Nicola signs it: “Love always, your future wifey.”

YouTube star King Kenny is all set for his seventh boxing bout, as he prepares to face Anthony Taylor this weekend.

Amassing a whopping 2.15 million subscribers on the online platform, Kenny Ojuederie is often seen alongside other members of Beta Squad which include Chunkz, Sharky and Niko Omilana.

The 26-year-old is another up and coming sensation who has impressed so far during his showings inside the ropes, and is set to feature on the under card of KSI vs Tommy Fury at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Jake Paul wasted absolutely no time in mocking KSI following his controversial defeat to Tommy Fury in Manchester.

KSI was beaten on points by Fury to the surprise of many at ringside at the AO Arena on Saturday night.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer caused Fury problems from round one and looked like pulling off a shock win, particularly after his opponent had a point taken off for punching the back of the head.

But the judges scored the six-round bout in favour of Fury, with one scoring it a 57-57 draw and two others ruling it 57-56 for the Mancunian fighter.

KSI was furious with the result and claimed in his post-fight interview that he had been ‘robbed’ – vowing to appeal the decision.

Jake Paul, who was at ringside to see his holder brother Logan defeat Dillon Danis earlier in the evening, was quick to react to KSI’s outburst.

He posted on X: “HAHAHAHA KSI SORE LOSER CHOKING UP.”

Paul then followed that up with a second post, which read: “Only thing that got robbed is his hair line. It’s okay KSI me too it’s gonna be okay bubba.”

He then posted a picture of himself flooring Fury in their own fight, alongside the caption: “Never forget who runs this s***.”

Paul then added: “I took my loss like a man from the scorecard read and showed the youth how to learn from it and come back to take a W.

“This 30 year old man crying for an appeal.”

Earlier in the evening, Paul’s older brother Logan beat Danis after their fight ended in disqualification for the MMA fighter.

Danis bizarrely attempted a guillotine choke in the final moments of the bout, prompting security to storm the ring.

Paul was eventually announced as the winner of the fight, with Danis disqualified for his actions.

”He was supposed to be good at jiu-jitsu, what happened bro? [He] scuffed the take down, tried that,” he began as he spoke to combat sports special Ariel Helwani after the fight.

”Tried the guillotine. Im sorry I missed the hammer fist. I’m sorry it ended like this but that just shows Dillon Danis is a coward. He is just a dirty, dirty human being, but thank you for coming out tonight, Manchester.

”It’s so beautiful being here and I wanna give a big shout out to my team, my family, everyone who helped me. This camp was so hard and dealing with a guy like that was not easy. He was a true coward.

”I’m gonna be honest, this is a hobby. As you all know, I am a WWE Superstar, so I am going to be back in the WWE. ”There are some championships I want and I have my eye on something and my eye on someone. I am an American boy, [and I want the] US title. Rey Mysterio, I already beat you once and I want that championship. Let’s go.”

Mysterio currently holds the United States Championship, having beaten Austin Theory for the title on an episode of SmackDown last month.

And the wrestling icon was quick to tease a future match between the pair, writing on X (Twitter): “Did Logan Paul just call me out? I’m not hard to find homie. Every Friday Night on SmackDown.”

A controversial call.

Tommy Fury beat KSI with a hugely controversial points win in Manchester on Saturday night.

Fury went into the bout as heavy favourite but was given a massive scare by the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

KSI gave Fury problems from the opening round with his unusual style of fighting.

And he continued to find success in round two, with Fury having a point taken away for punching his opponent on the back of the head.

Fury came back into the fight in the third round, connecting with a series of crunching punches, before dominating the fourth.

The next two fights were closely contested but the judges ruled in favour of Fury, to the surprise of many at ringside.

One judge scored the fight 57-57, while two others ruled 57-56 favour of Fury – despite the points deduction.

KSI later claimed he had been ‘robbed’ in his post-fight interview and suggested he would appeal the decision.

“Robbery, it’s a robbery bro,” said KSI.

“How many jabs did he land? And he had a point taken off as well. You weren’t landing. Look at your face, look at your eyes. Look at you.”

Fury replied: “You’re a sore loser. You’re a bum. Back to YouTube.”

KSI added: “How do I lose a six rounder? Unreal.

“He is the man who is meant to be a pro boxer and he won a majority decision? It’s outrageous man. The amount of times he hit me in the back of the head. So many times. And the referee only took one point? He kept doing it over and over.

“I’m sorry, it’s outrageous.

“We’re going to appeal, I want to appeal. I felt like I won that.”

Conor McGregor issued his very own call out the way of KSI after his dramatic loss to Tommy Fury.

Controversy surrounded KSI’s defeat to the 24-year-old Mancunian, with many believing that the Sidemen member had done enough to hand the former Love Island winner the first loss of his career.

But instead it was ‘The Notorious One’ who wanted to hand the social media star a chance at facing him.

Taking to social media, McGregor posted: ”Ya know what. Me and KSI is an exciting fight. A juicy nixer I used to call them back when I was a plumber now I’m on the lambo yacht he’s in a huracan.”

The Irishman has often clashed with fellow members of the online world, most notably Jake Paul, who once reportedly offered McGregor $50 million to fight him inside the boxing ring.

After an entertaining night played out, Logan Paul’s bout with Dillon Danis ended in controversy after he was disqualified for attempting a mixed martial arts move inside the sixth round.

In the fight’s aftermath, Paul insisted that he wishes to return to his true passion, the WWE calling out Rey Mysterio in the process.

It remains to be seen whether Paul and Danis will face off again, given there was talk of a gentlemen’s agreement between them that they would do so in an MMA format.
