Title: Debate Intensifies Over Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Boxing Match

A youtube thumbnail with the maxres quality

The boxing world finds itself embroiled in heated debate following the announcement of a potential matchup between Jake Paul and boxing legend Mike Tyson. A recent video clip featuring prominent podcaster Joe Rogan has added fuel to the fire, sparking discussions about the validity of Jake Paul’s boxing skills and the ethics of such a fight.

In the video, Rogan is heard praising Jake Paul’s abilities as a boxer, citing his knockout victories over former MMA champions like Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. Rogan even goes as far as to label Jake as an “elite professional-grade boxer,” commending his power, speed, and technique. However, Rogan’s endorsement of Jake Paul’s skills has raised eyebrows among boxing enthusiasts, many of whom remain skeptical of the YouTuber’s legitimacy in the sport.

One of the primary points of contention surrounding the proposed matchup is the significant age gap between the two fighters. At 30 years younger than Tyson, Jake Paul’s youth and agility present a formidable challenge for the aging boxing icon. Despite Rogan expressing concerns about Tyson’s health and ability to compete at his age, there are also discussions about modern advancements in sports science that could potentially mitigate Tyson’s age-related limitations.

🚨 Joe Rogan makes Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul prediction: 'That guy can still f*** you up'

Furthermore, questions have been raised about the approval process for the exhibition fight. While the event has been announced, it has not yet received official approval from the relevant governing bodies. Speculation abounds as to whether Tyson’s health concerns could ultimately derail the bout, despite the promotional hype surrounding it.

The potential outcome of the fight remains a topic of debate, with opinions divided on whether Jake Paul’s skills are sufficient to overcome Tyson’s legendary status and power. While some argue that Tyson’s age and physical condition may give Jake Paul an advantage, others believe that Tyson’s experience and natural talent could prove decisive in the ring.

Critics have also voiced skepticism about the hype and promotion surrounding the fight, questioning the legitimacy of Jake Paul’s boxing career and suggesting financial incentives behind the matchup. The staging of Jake Paul’s previous fights, as well as concerns about the integrity of the sport, have added to the controversy surrounding the event.

In conclusion, the proposed boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has ignited passionate discussions within the boxing community. While some view it as an exciting spectacle with the potential for an upset, others remain skeptical of its legitimacy and ethical implications. As the debate continues to intensify, all eyes will be on the outcome of this highly anticipated showdown.

Mike Tyson has already made prediction for how Jake Paul fight will go

The announcement of a boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has ignited a storm of debate and speculation within the boxing community and beyond. In a sport known for its storied history and tradition, the prospect of a former Disney Channel star facing off against a heavyweight legend like Tyson seems almost surreal.

At 57 years old, Tyson boasts an impressive legacy as a former Undisputed World Heavyweight King, while Paul, a YouTube sensation turned boxer, has been in the sport for only about a year. Despite the vast difference in experience and skill level, the matchup has captured the imagination of fans and pundits alike.

Jake Paul Set to Fight Mike Tyson in Boxing Match

Opinions among boxing professionals are divided. Some, like Canelo Alvarez, dismiss the fight as more spectacle than sport, viewing it as a missed opportunity for showcasing traditional boxing. Others, like Manny Pacquiao and Anthony Joshua, express doubts about Paul’s chances against the formidable Tyson, citing Tyson’s power and experience as decisive factors.

However, there are those who see the match as a positive for boxing. Tyson Fury, for instance, views it as an opportunity to draw attention to the sport and attract new fans. He emphasizes the financial gain for both fighters and the potential for the match to provide entertainment value.

Yet, concerns linger about the significant age gap between the two combatants, with Tyson being nearly 30 years older than Paul. Some, like Tony Bellew, worry about Tyson’s well-being and hope that the fight is orchestrated to prevent any harm to the aging legend.

Special edition custom shorts for UFC 300 are REVEALED by Venum – before they rush to delete images – with Max Holloway set to wear Hawaiian-themed pair for Justin Gaethje showdown

Special edition UFC 300 shorts will be worn by fighters at the historic event this Saturday, with images posted of the attire online.

Venum, who are the sponsor for the UFC’s apparel, posted pictures of the various custom items on their website.

Interestingly, they then swiftly took the pictures down, but X account La Sueur shared them on social media.

TNT Sports also shared an composite of Max Holloway in the special shorts he will wear on Saturday night for his huge fight against Justin Gaethje for the BMF title.

Holloway’s shorts feature a blue and red Hawaiian floral design in homage to his home.

Gaethje’s are more similar to the usual shorts worn on standard cards and are black with a white and grey pattern in the background.

Strawweight champion Zhang Weili’s version is bright pink with aspects of gold to reflect her status at the top of the division, a position she’s out to defend against Chinese compatriot Yan Xiaonan.

Alex Pereira, who headlines the card in his light-heavyweight title defence against Jamahal Hill, will don a pair with indigenous Brazilian print.

Venum described the shorts as part of the ‘Adrenaline Unrivaled’ collection, writing: ‘The four unique fighters represented across this collection, each known for their unrivaled talent and global contributions to the sport, are set to perform on the best fight card ever assembled.’

And TNT Sports also shared a picture of Aljamain Sterling in a custom UFC 300 black bomber jacket ahead of his featherweight debut against Calvin Kattar.

The new shorts are not the only apparel change for the event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this weekend, with ‘glove presentation’ on the UFC agenda for Friday.

Whether the design is to be changed in a bid to combat eye pokes or there will simply be a cosmetic alteration or new sponsor remains to be seen.

Evidently the UFC are pulling out all the stops to mark out UFC 300 as a distinct event in the company’s history.

It remains to be seen if they have any other surprises up their sleeve, with some fans predicting a possible announcement over Conor McGregor’s return to action on the night.

UFC 300 is the most stacked event EVER… Outside top three fights, FIVE ex-champions are in action and rising star Bo Nickal has his biggest stage yet, while Jim Miller will claim historic hat-trick

UFC 300 is a major milestone in MMA history and the card has been stacked to the brim with quality.

There are three belts on the line to close out the show on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The BMF title between Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje comes before an all-Chinese strawweight showdown and then Jamahal Hill vs Alex Pereira take centre stage in a light-heavyweight title fight.

But the appetisers are arguably just as tasty as the main course. Fighters who would usually take pride of place on a main card are down in the pre-lims and there are some brilliant match-ups to enjoy.

While many fans have been disappointed with the lack of out and out star quality at the top of the event, with no Conor McGregor or Israel Adesanya, the depth of the card is indisputable.

Here, Mail Sport takes a closer look at the other fights well worth paying attention to.

    Deiveson Figueiredo vs Cody Garbrandt

What a ridiculous curtain-raiser this is. A contest of enough quality to headline most Fight Night cards, this bantamweight battle should kick off the evening in style.

Ex-flyweight champion Figueiredo is moving up a division to bantamweight and faces popular KO artist Garbrandt.

The American still possesses the incredible hand speed that made him flyweight champion, before his infamously weak chin was then exposed on multiple occasions.

He’s back on an even keel now having secured back-to-back wins and looks to have restored some confidence.

The war of words is heating up too, with Figueiredo telling Trocacao Franca: ‘We see he’s mentally fragile, he doesn’t have a good head.

‘We see he hasn’t come back after a few losses right? You have to be a badass you need a strong mind to come back again. I think I’ll affect his mind by touching him.’

Garbrandt replied to MMA Junkie: ‘I’ve been there when you’re mentally weak and you don’t believe in yourself you have to speak more and try to get into your opponent’s head, I’ve been that person.

‘He’s missed weight (before). Right there, that’s being a p**** that’s the biggest mentally weak block you could ever do, you have to make weight, you don’t make weight meaning you quit on yourself.’

    Jim Miller vs Bobby Green

Jim Miller and UFC 300 – it had to be done.

Miller fought at UFC 100 in 2009 and UFC 200 in 2016 and is going to bring up the triple century, barring any last minute hitches.

He is rightly concerned that there might be a snag, given that he’s been matched up with Bobby Green three times before, only for his American compatriot to pull out for various reasons.

Fourth time should be the charm and Miller told MMA Today: ‘The reason I’m Jim ‘F***ing’ Miller is because I don’t say no.

‘I kind of screw myself sometimes, but yeah, that’s the way it is. They offered the fight, and I’m going to take it.’

The 40-year-old is still going remarkably well, winning five of his last six outings.

He has more wins (26) than any other fighter in UFC history, the most bouts (43) in UFC history and the second most finishes (18) behind Charles Oliveira.

Though he hasn’t come close to challenging for a title, Miller is part of the furniture and it is fitting he has been given the chance to shine again on the historic card.

Green is a slick operator in his own right and stylistically, it should be a striking battle to entertain the fans, certainly not to be missed.

    Holly Holm vs Kayla Harrison

Not a bad spot to make your UFC debut. Harrison has long been one of the big names in women’s MMA but only signed for the premier promotion this year.

The women’s bantamweight clash takes place on the pre-lims and pits Harrison, who is a two-time Olympic gold medal winner in judo and won the PFL bantamweight title, against veteran ex-champion Holly Holm.

Harrison’s impressive record of 16-1 features both knockouts (six) and submissions (six) so she is a well-rounded threat but has not faced the level of opposition of offer in the UFC.

Holm, meanwhile, is No 5 in the bantamweight rankings but at 42 may have her best years behind her and is still best known for the stunning upset KO of Ronda Rousey.

Harrison is one of the bigger betting favourites on the card so it will be interesting to see if she can back that up and stake her claim for a title shot with an impressive debut in front of a huge captive audience.

    Calvin Kattar vs Aljamain Sterling

There has been fascination surrounding Aljamain Sterling’s potential move to featherweight for some time.

His reign as the bantamweight champion was cut short last year by Sean O’Malley and with a continued refusal to face team-mate Merab Dvalishvili, it is now the logical time to take the next step.

Sterling remains an underrated fighter with an awkward style to combat and elite skills on the ground.

In Kattar, he has not been given a lay-up for his first entry into the 145-lbs field.

Kattar is a brilliant boxer but is coming off ACL surgery after tearing ligaments back in 2022.

‘A lot of people would say ‘oh a year and a half, you must have some ring rust,’ he said on the MMA Hour.

”You put too much stock in that Aljo?’. Who gives a s***? People say a lot of s***. What’s going to matter is on fight night and it can go one of two ways.

‘I’m going to do everything in my power to make it look like it did last August [for Sterling]. I’m prepared for a hell of a fight and I would love an early finish but I’m prepared for anything that presents itself on Saturday.’

    Jiri Prochazka vs Alekandar Rakic

This is the No 2-ranked light-heavyweight in Prochazka against the man sitting three slots below him.

It is the featured pre-lim on Saturday and could well be front-runner for Fight of the Night honours.

Prochazka is never in a boring contest and is coming off the back of a KO defeat by Pereira in his last encounter, having fared well for much of the contest as long as it lasted.

The former champion has an unorthodox style to go with his personality, striking with his hands down and presenting a puzzle to opponents.

Aleksandar Rakic suffered an ACL injury in his fight against Jan Blachowicz in 2022

He has his work cut out against Rakic but the big unknown is how he will perform having ruptured his ACL against Jan Blachowicz almost two years ago.

That he is a slight betting favourite it testament to his quality and it looks to be a tough one to call. Prochazka’s wild striking always makes him a must-watch, while Rakic also boasts huge power.

The Austrian 32-year-old could put himself in line for the next title shot if he deals emphatically with his Czech opponent and the winner will no doubt watch the main event with plenty of interest.

    Bo Nickal vs Cody Brundage

Nickal has been earmarked for stardom from the start of his journey in the UFC and the former wrestling superstar has backed that assessment up at every turn so far.

He’s again been given a spot with plenty of limelight to build his popularity and show fans what he’s capable of.

That Nickal is lining up on the main card just five fights into his pro career speaks volumes about how highly his paymasters rate him.

He’s finished all five of those contests with first-round finishes and certainly looks the real deal at middleweight.

The American has impressed with his striking in addition to incredible wrestling pedigree

The American has impressed with his striking in addition to incredible wrestling pedigree

The big surprise is how effective the American has looked on his feet given his relative lack of experience in comparison to his elite wrestling.

On Saturday night, Brundage will have his work cut out and is the biggest underdog at UFC 300.

He could have his Buster Douglas moment and makes it three successive wins having dropped the three before that.

Most think Brundage is being used as fodder and being fed to the lions here so it would do wonders for his career and cause havoc with the UFC’s ambitions for Nickal if he could spring an upset in this one.

    Charles Oliveira vs Arman Tsarukyan

Tsarukyan is predicting a ‘crazy fight’ in this lightweight main card showdown against former champion Oliveira.

Both want to throw their hat in the ring for a shot at Islam Makhachev’s belt, with Oliveira falling short against the champion previously.

The Armenian-Russian told the MMA Hour: ‘I don’t even know what he wants to do during the fight; same as him, he doesn’t know what I’m going to do, wrestle him or strike him.

‘If he’s going to miss punches, he’s going to wrestle. Me too, if I miss punches, I’m going to wrestle, so it’s going to be like a scramble fight.

‘So [I’m] excited to fight and everyone who knows MMA is going to watch this fight. We are both complete MMA fighters. But my prediction is a finish in the first round, TKO.’

It will be a huge test for Arman Tsarukyan, who has also beaten Dariush (background)

It will be a huge test for Arman Tsarukyan, who has also beaten Dariush (background)

That would certainly shake up the apple cart at 155-lbs and the 27-year-old is a coming force in the division.

He previously shared the cage with Makhachev in April 2019, losing a decision that was given Fight of the Night honours.

Both men have improved significantly since then and four of Tsarukyan’s last five wins have been by KO.

Oliveira’s rise was sensational until he ran into Makhachev so it will be fascinating to see which version of the Brazilian turns up on Saturday.

He’s still desperate for another shot at his former title and will feel he’s earned it if he can slap down the challenge of one of the division’s rising stars.

In the tell all interview Rousey opens up to host Bartlett explaining how her difficult life journey started when she was just eight-years-old when her father took his own life.

‘My dad passed when I was eight. I didn’t know but he had broken his back in a sledding accident when we’d first moved to North Dakota and he had a rare blood disorder where he couldn’t heal from it.

‘He had been receiving diagnoses basically saying he would become a paraplegic and then a quadriplegic and could eventually die.

‘We didn’t know that he was going through this or dealing with chronic pain or anything like that.

‘He ended up taking his life when I was eight… My whole world turned upside down.’

She continues to detail the further pain she suffered both from other people and she inflicted on herself.

Rousey opened up about her struggle with bulimia as she developed the eating disorder at 16 because she was constantly teased for her masculine, muscular physique.

She opened up to Bartlett about how she would sometimes force herself to get sick after meals.

‘I remember the first time I did it. I had a childhood coach or something who took me out one day and he basically forced me to have a chocolate shake.

‘He was like, “NNo you have to have a chocolate shake come on, it’s fine, you train all the time, you need to relax, you have a chocolate shake.”

‘I felt so guilty about the chocolate shake and I had to make weight that weekend – there was no way I would be able to make it.

‘I made myself throw up the chocolate shake and it was cold, it didn’t hurt, it wasn’t that bad…

‘I thought it was a one time thing but the next time I like ate too much and I felt really guilty about it, it just became the panic button… I felt like it was the only thing I could do.’

She continued: ‘You have all this outside pressure to be able to maintain the same weight even though as an athlete you’re growing and putting on muscle and even getting taller so it was kind of like fighting nature.’

The former UFC champion also opened up about the harsh and abusive training regimes she would have to follow as a young athlete.

Going on to reveal that she couldn’t think of a single coach she had a ‘great relationship with’.

She shockingly went on to admit that her very first coach ended up dislocating her jaw as a child.

‘My first coach literally dislocated my jaw. I was a little kid, I threw him once in front of everybody and and laughed because I thought it was awesome.

‘He threw me on the benches on top of the table at everybody else’s feet in front of all these people.

‘Big Jim had grabbed me by the throat before to drive his point home that women can’t defend themselves. This is behaviour that I have been conditioned to tolerate since I was a little girl.

Inside disgraced footy WAG Arabella Del Busso’s prison hell – as lawyer reveals unique way the lingerie model is coping after being jailed for stealing $52,000

Former reality TV contestant and ex-footy WAG turned professional boxer Arabella Del Busso is spending her time behind bars whipping fellow prisoners into shape.

Daily Mail Australia has learned the glamorous ex-girlfriend of rugby league star Josh Reynolds is leading prison yard fitness training with other women locked up in the 531-inmate capacity Dillwynia Correctional Centre, in Sydney‘s north-west.

Australia’s largest women’s prison is currently home to Del Busso as she prepares to appeal the severity of her sentence for stealing from her employer.

The 33-year-old lingerie model was jailed on February 13 for stealing $52,000 from Rheumotology Specialist Care, where she worked as a receptionist in its practices at Kogarah, in Sydney’s south, and Randwick, in the city’s east.

She had pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing as an employee between September 2019 and February 2020.

Magistrate Hugh Donnelly sentenced Del Busso to a minimum 12 months behind bars for what he described as an ‘appalling breach of trust’.

Now seven weeks into her sentence, the former SAS Australia star will appear in the NSW District Court, represented by lawyer Andrew Stewart, in a bid to get out of jail earlier.

Mr Stewart told Daily Mail Australia that Del Busso was hoping to get a sentence reduction as she was remorseful and is ‘trying to turn her life around’.

”It’s not to pleasant being in jail for anyone. She is trying to get as much support as possible,’ he said.

Del Busso has been adjusting to life in prison which includes spending about 17 hours each day in her three-metre by five-metre cell, prison meals served on a foil tray and associating with inmates serving time for violent offences.

However, it is understood that Del Busso is harnessing her expertise and fitness knowledge to keep herself trim and show the other inmates exercise routines.

‘She is doing what she can to help other inmates,’ Mr Stewart said.

‘Keeping fit, helping inmates who have a number of issues, making sure you eat, making sure you shower.

‘She has expressed her remorse and has paid back what she was ordered to pay (about $30,000) from the money she saved up and was putting aside and prize money from boxing.’

On her arrival at Dillwynia, the sole female facility clustered with two male prisons in the Francis Greenway Correctional Complex, Del Busso was handed a pack including a toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, a plate, bowl and cup, and a roll of toilet paper.

Anything other than prison clothing is regarded as contraband.

While inmates were once strip-searched on arrival, this usually only occurs now if a prison X-ray scanner identifies contraband hidden on an imate’s person.

Shown to her cell, which has only a thin, vinyl covered mattress, Del Busso was provided with a meal prepared at the adjacent male prison, the Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre.

Her meals have included pre-packaged salads with cold meat, and hot meals of crumbed fish, chicken wings and chicken schnitzel to be eaten with plastic cutlery.

Under the NSW prison system’s so-called Bangkok Rules, Del Busso has been encouraged to stay in contact with relatives or friends via weekly visits and calls via fixed telephone sin the jail’s common areas.

In addition, women inmates have access to a tablet device each day at afternoon lock-in, and are allowed outgoing calls from these devices until 10pm.

Under what is known as the Mandela Rules, Del Busso also has had access to confer with her legal advisers.

Mr Stewart said that Del Busso was seeking ‘a return to normalcy, back to working and her boxing career’ on her release from prison.

‘She’s definitely nervous (about her appeal) but she’s had time to reflect. She is sorry for it.’

The one-time glamour model gained notoriety after her relationship with then Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs NRL star Josh Reynolds dissolved when it became known she had faked a pregnancy.

In October 2020, she famously walked out of TV reality show SAS Australia after being interrogated about the relationship drama which had spilled into the public.
