Talks between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have broken down.

Why Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk for April 29 collapsed

The reason why Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk collapsed has been revealed and it goes beyond the purse split.

According to Usyk’s manager, the blockbuster undisputed clash for April 29 at Wembley Stadium is OFF.

Both camps had been locked in talks over a big showdown in London, England, but discussions have broken down.

The Ukrainian’s manager, Egis Klimas, said: “No matter how much Usyk compromised, he was pushed for more.”

He added: “If this fight is going to happen, only April 29th. Or it’s just going to be cancelled, and we’ll go with the mandatory.”

It comes after Usyk had agreed a 70-30 split in favour of Fury following back-and-forth social media exchanges over a no-rematch clause.

But, according to ESPN’s sources, Fury and Usyk ‘couldn’t agree on other material terms critical to the deal beyond the split.’

As a result, the WBA (super), WBO, IBF and The Ring Magazine champion has shut down his training camp and will regroup with his team to plot his next move.

Usyk, who defended his world titles against Anthony Joshua last summer, could return in June/July in a mandatory defence, potentially against Brit Daniel Dubois.

His victory over Joshua in Saudi Arabia was his last appearance inside a ring, having dethroned ‘AJ’ in September 2021 to become unified champion.

As for Fury, he hasn’t fought since his stoppage victory over Dereck Chisora last December. He also beat Dillian Whyte in 2022 following his knockout victory over Deontay Wilder.

‘The Gypsy King’ could still return next month, but, of course, against a different opponent, having started his training camp.

A Fury vs. Usyk bout would have crowned boxing’s first undisputed heavyweight world champion in the four-belt era.

Will Fury and Usyk ever agree to fight each other? Let us know what you think.

'Little s**thouse' - Tyson Fury launches scathing X-rated callout of 'rat b*****d' Oleksandr Usyk after mega-fight called off

WBC champion Tyson Fury has broken his silence and dropped an astonishing X-rated callout of unified title holder Oleksandr Usyk after their mega-fight collapsed this week.

Fury, who hasn’t fought since his trilogy fight against fellow Brit Derek Chisora last December, appeared on course to face Usyk at Wembley Stadium on 29th April.

However, their hotly anticipated undisputed heavyweight showdown fell through after Usyk’s promoter, Alex Krassyuk, slammed the Fury camp over their demands in the negotiations.

Fury initially called on Usyk to agree to a 70-30 purse split, with the undefeated heavyweight Ukrainian calling his bluff and accepting the audacious offer.

The ‘Gypsy King’ then called on Usyk to withdraw the rematch clause from the negotiations, which appeared to be the final straw in the back-and-forth talks.

The 34-year-old Brit superstar took to his Instagram Stories (watch it in the video player above) on Thursday and launched a war of words with Usyk.

WBC kingpin Fury can be heard repeatedly calling the 36-year-old champ a “little s**thouse” and a “little s**tbag,” with Usyk branded a “little coward.”

Speaking in the Instagram clip, Fury said: “Usyk, you little s**thouse, you proper little s**tbag, bogeyed, gappy teeth, ugly little rat b*****d.

“You little slimy f****r. Tried all week to get out of it, begging for a rematch like a little girl. You got your rematch and you didn’t even want to fight at that.

“You little s**thouse pussy. Always know pussy that you know you was never man enough to tangle with the ‘Gypsy King’ ever in your life, you little s**thouse.

“You little 14-stone coward. You little s**tbag, you rat little b*****d, and your full team know it as well.

“I have all the lawyers and got the full information, you little ugly b*****d. Keep running.

“[…] Always know that you or anybody else like you could ever tangle with the ‘Gypsy King,’ you s**thouse little coward.”

Fury’s co-promoter Frank Warren believes that the super-fight between the pair is now a “dead duck,” despite desperately trying to save the clash in last-ditch talks.

“They said the fight must take place before 29th April and if it goes later they want different splits,” he said.

“The reason they did that was they didn’t think Tyson would be ready for the 29th and suddenly Tyson was ready for it.

“He has been in training camp for two and a half weeks, got trainers in from America and they looked for a way to get out.”

Footage of Tyson Fury claiming he won’t fight ‘foreigner’ Oleksandr Usyk re-emerges

Fury’s fight with Usyk for the unified world heavyweight titles is off, after negotiations faltered but it appears he never wanted to fight.

Footage of Tyson Fury claiming he won't fight 'foreigner' Oleksandr Usyk re-emerges

Tyson Fury has previously claimed he wouldn’t fight ‘foreigner’ Oleksandr Usyk, saying that no one would be interesting him fighting a ‘nobody.’

It won’t actually have come as a surprise to find that Fury and Usyk won’t be fighting each other at Wembley on April 29th, as had been hoped.

Even before Wednesday’s news that the negotiations were off, the fight date was getting awfully close to announce a heavyweight world title unification.

When the fight did inevitably collapse, due to a disagreement about the rematch clause, it was the third time in the past few years an obvious unification fight had fallen through.

In a fashion that we’ve seen about a million times from him before, the WBC champion, Fury, has gone on the attack since the announcement.

Speaking on his social media page, the undefeated British boxer called the Ukrainian a “little s**thouse, little s**tbag and little coward,’ in an extraordinary but highly typical rant.

Whilst the 34-year-old is clearly blaming his rival, others have noticed that he’s previously told iFL TV that he had no interest in fighting Usyk.

Here’s the clip where Tyson Fury tells us he will never fight Usyk and his reason why 💀 fuckin tragic.

“No. Usyk ain’t on the list, he’s a no-name, no-one’s interested and it doesn’t make any money,” the Gypsy King said before his would be opponent had beaten Anthony Joshua to become a world champion.

“So what would I wanna fight him for?

“He’s a small cruiserweight, foreigner, don’t speak good English [irony], and nobody’s really interested anyway, he’s not setting anything alight.

“I want the big fights people are interested in and that ain’t one of them.”

Asked if the former cruiserweight world champion beating Joshua would change his mind, Fury replied, “Still wouldn’t be a big fight. He’s still a foreigner in westernised world, the belts are back in the west, and they’re gonna stay there.

“Whatever it sounds like, the heavyweight champions should be from Britain or America, nowhere else, that’s it. Because maybe in Ukraine he might be a big star, but Britain or America aren’t interested in some Ukrainian boxers boxing in Ukraine, and that’s the way it is.

“The heavyweight champion needs to be in the west, and that’s it, that’s how it goes.”

Usyk holds three world titles to Fury's one. Image: Alamy

The entire thing is a very strange diatribe from the WBC title holder, against a man who now holds three versions of the world title.

Fury’s first victory in a world title fight came against Usyk’s fellow Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, who’d held the titles for nine years previous to that.

His brother held other versions of the titles from 2004 to 2012, before retiring as champion, but apparently the heavyweight champion needs to be American or British.

The weird comments are not the first that the Gypsy King has made that have been offensive, previously claiming Jewish people “own the banks,” compared transgender people to the practice of beastiality and said that a woman’s best place was “on her back.”

Simon Jordan says UFC could 'overtake' boxing after Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight collapses

Simon Jordan believes Boxing could fall behind UFC as the most popular combat sport after yet another big fight collapsed.

Boxing fans were left exasperated on Wednesday when Tyson Fury’s much-anticipated heavyweight undisputed clash with Oleksandr Usyk fell through.

The boxers and their representatives have been engaged in intense negotiations since the start of the year, but ultimately no final agreement was reached.

UFC president Dana White, who is a big boxing fan, was recently asked about the protracted fight talks between Fury and Usyk.

WBC champion Tyson Fury launches scathing attack of Oleksandr Usyk

“Welcome to boxing, boys,” he said post-fight at UFC 286.

“Is it shocking? Yes. Is it ‘shocking?’ No. It’s just that is boxing, that’s the way that that sport always seems to play out, the big fights that should happen never happen.

“And when they do, it’s always late and that’s the stuff that used to drive me crazy as a fan, and it’s literally part of how I designed this company [UFC] to not be. We try to make the big fights when it’s time to make the big fights.”

TalkSPORT host Simon Jordan has expressed his dislike for UFC in the past, but even he admitted that he sees plenty of disillusioned boxing fans ditching the sport for UFC

“I find that the more I look at it, despite my absolute enthusiasm for the sport, the more I find boxing quite an unpalatable space of disingenuity and people who say they are going to do something and never seem to do it,” he told Jim White on talkSPORT.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. I know it’s show business. I know that all the moving parts are difficult to put together but there’s such an underserving sport because these guys are getting paid an inordinate amount of money, they are living on currency, which most of the time is talk.

“Most of the time they don’t tell the truth and when you confront them with not telling the truth they blabber or try to [bulls***] you around it. And now you’ve got fights that can’t be made.

“It is wrong and what you’ll start seeing is spaces for sports like UFC and MMA taking the mantle because people are going to say, ‘Well, at least I know where I stand with that sport.’

“You’re going to see people like Dana White turn around and say, ‘I’ll tell you what I’ll do, I’ll get involved with boxing because these guys are clowns.’”

Jordan has got a point – there is surely only so much prevaricating and messing around boxing fans will put up with before they look elsewhere for their kicks (or punches).

Talks over a potential unification bout collapsed last week.

ESPN’s Timothy Bradley has torn into Tyson Fury, stating that the heavyweight is ‘the one to blame’ after talks over a unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk collapsed late last week.

WBC heavyweight champion Fury had been in talks to face off against WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in a unification bout that was set to take place in April.

However, it was confirmed earlier last week that the bout will no longer be going ahead, with Fury tipped to face off against Mexican heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr instead.

The teams of the two fighters have blamed each other for the breakdown in negotiations, with Fury taking to social media to launch a foul-mouthed tirade at the Ukrainian boxer.

Former two-weight world champion Timothy Bradley made it clear who he believes caused the fight to break down, tearing into Fury during an ESPN live broadcast this weekend.

When quizzed on who was to blame, Bradley packed no punches:

“Fury. Fury is the one to blame. You never know what Fury is thinking. Every day is different.

“Honestly, I’m sick of the mess. We want to see an undisputed heavyweight championship fight, that is what we want to see Tyson Fury.”

“I will call this a legitimate duck by Tyson Fury. He is ducking [Oleksandr] Usyk.

“He didn’t even think that Usyk was going to take the 70/30 split. Usyk was adamant to take the 50/50 split. He wanted 50/50.

“Then it went to 60/40 and then you have Fury come in and say 70/30. Usyk said we’ll do it and then the goalposts got moved again!”

Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has been quick to defend his fighter, as he revealed emails which allegedly prove that neither he nor Fury were to blame for the collapse of the hotly-anticipated fight.

The cancellation of the Fury/Usyk fight has caused worry among boxing fans, who have been left disillusioned by recent pay-per-view bouts. The latest news has led talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan – who himself is a huge fan of boxing – to state that he believes the UFC could soon overtake boxing in terms of popularity.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury reveals shocking career switch

Tyson Fury is set to start his own firm in an industry distinctively different from the sport of boxing.

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury reveals shocking career switch

World champion boxer Tyson Fury has revealed a shocking career switch, and it couldn’t be any more different to boxing.

Fury is currently the WBC heavyweight champion, and was set to face off against Oleksandr Usyk later this year before contract talks broke down in the last week.

Usyk had beaten Anthony Joshua twice in the space of a year in 2021 and 2022, retaining his IBF, IBO, WBA (SUPER) and WBO heavyweight titles in doing so.

It made sense then, that Usyk could move onto the undefeated and undisputed WBC heavyweight champion that is Tyson Fury next, though for a range of reasons, contracts were never finalised.

Fury has no upcoming fights and has looked to enter a new career path. (

Following this news, it seems like Fury is set to venture into a new career, with him taking his first steps into the real estate agency.

Taking after his Aunt Maureen, Fury is starting his own firm to buy, sell and lease real estate in the UK.

The self proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ will run Greenway Balmoral Ltd from his £500,000 former home, which boasts six-bedrooms – in Morecambe, which is also the HQ for Fury’s other businesses.

Fury, his wife Paris, and thir six children live in a £1.7 million mansion nearby, though Tyson launched his new career by buying a house close to his brother Tommy and his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.

He had plans to flatten the Cheshire home and build a luxurious six-bedroom mansion with a pool was thrown off course by the discovery of roosting bats in the property.

The plan for Fury is not to extend the original building, though it is not clear if the Wythenshawe-born boxer is planning to make it his new family home, or if he plans to sell it.

The name of his new firm is believed to be a tribute to the late Queen, who passed away at her Balmoral estate in September last year.

Tyson and his wife left a card and flowers at Buckingham Palace, with the card saying: “Great may your bed be in Heaven”.

His auntie Maureen currently runs her property empire through Fury Developments Ltd.

Frank Warren exposes email that 'proves' Tyson Fury wasn't to blame for fight being off

Frank Warren has claimed to have emails that prove he and Tyson Fury were not to blame for the collapse of the fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

In the past few days, boxing fans have been massively let down as the world heavyweight unification fight between Fury and Usyk came apart at the seams.

It’s nothing new for fans of the sport, with the usual social media call outs from the British heavyweight increasingly falling on deaf ears, as it often leads to nothing.

A rematch clause and the split in money for a second fight were being blamed for the April 29th date at Wembley being called off by the parties involved.

Laura Woods summed up the disappointment that fans were feeling, claiming they deserved better from the sport, and said it was a PR catastrophe for the sport.

The Gypsy King, in extremely typical fashion, took to social media to call out his would be opponent, calling him a ‘little s***house,’ in his usual classy way.

Many have blamed the WBC champion for the problems, but now head of Queensbury Promotions, Warren, has claimed he has an email proving that’s not the case.

“This is a cop-out,” Fury’s promoter told iFL TV, “Listen to this, ‘I’m not even blaming him [Fury],’” he claimed the letter from Usyk’s promoter said, whilst appearing to read it.

“‘Because it is what it is,’” the email goes on to say.

    HEATED OUTBURST! 😡 @FrankWarren REVEALS EMAILS from team @usykaa showing that they pulled the plug on negotiations with @Tyson_Fury ❌ 🔗 | youtu.be/s1NqyBKRoPo 🎤 | @Umar_iFL

Switching his attention to the words, Warren added, “He ain’t blaming him, that’s not my words.

“‘Team Usyk is out of negotiations for the April 29th fight,;” he said, continuing to read the email.

On the WBA, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine champion, the Queensbury boss added, “What does Usyk deliver in America? Nothing. Nothing!

“…The money generated from this fight, for this fight to happen, is the US and the UK. I’ve just read out to you the numbers for the three [Deontay] Wilder fights, the three fights, over three million buys.

“Now I’ve read you what they said on Monday, and it didn’t change yesterday, we didn’t even get to a discussion about it. He [Usyk] had gone back to Kiev.

“…We’re not to blame, Queensbury are not to blame, and Tyson’s not to blame. It is what it is, not my words.”

Whilst it appears that Fury isn’t necessarily to blame for the breakdown of the talks, ‘it is what it is’ doesn’t exactly suggest Usky is to blame either.

Interestingly, footage of the British star claiming he would never fight the ‘foreigner’ and ‘cruiserweight,’ before the former 205 lbs champion’s win over Anthony Joshua, re-emerged following the recent break down of talks.

UFC president Dana White criticised boxing for allowing negotiations for big fights to break down and, whoever’s fault this latest example is, it’s hard to disagree.
