Following the Japanese GP, Lance Stroll’s future in F1 became a topic of discussion once again. Barring the race in Melbourne, Stroll hasn’t outperformed Fernando Alonso on any occasion this season, highlighting the stark difference in both drivers’ performances, much like last year. With Carlos Sainz available in the market, a pairing between him and Alonso could do wonders for the Silverstone-based outfit. However, former F1 driver Pedro de la Rosa is not in favor of seeing Lance Stroll step away from racing.

Discussing the situation at Aston Martin in ‘F1: Beyond the Grid‘ Podcast, Damon Hill presented the idea of Aston Martin fielding an all-Spanish driver lineup. However, Rosa did not agree with Hill. He claimed that there was no need for Stroll to step aside, given Aston Martin was making good progress for the future. Rosa added stability in the driver lineup is key for any team chasing success.

“I mean, why would you want to not continue racing if you can see what’s going on behind the scenes in the factory with the new wind tunnel, with the people joining the team, which is we’re generating here an incredible team for the future.”

Stroll has come under added pressure with Alonso signing a contract extension with Aston Martin. The Canadian driver has rarely managed to outperform his teammate, and that has often cost his team a lot of points. Meanwhile, with Sainz available in the market, they would want to bolster their lineup to try and maximize their performances. For that, team owner Lawrence Stroll would have to part ways with his son Lance.

While Pedro de la Rosa argued in favor of Stroll, the lack of support for the Canadian is overwhelming. Alonso continues to dominate his teammate, which is hurting Aston Martin‘s progress in the championship standings. Taking note of the same, former F1 driver Christian Danner also questions whether Stroll is the right choice to partner with Alonso. The 73-year-old questioned Stroll’s consistency, and feels that he shows glimpses of his talent very rarely.

Despite the lack of consistency, Lance’s pairing with Alonso is likely secure for the foreseeable future, because of Lawrence Stroll’s presence. The team is making progress, but a stronger driver line-up could help them compete against the likes of Mercedes and McLaren, who are predicted to be the outfit’s direct rivals.

Lando Norris signed a contract extension with McLaren earlier this year, that will keep him tied to the team until 2026. He reaffirmed his faith in the team, despite past troubles, and insisted that he will end up winning with them. However, Lewis Hamilton signing with Ferrari just months after agreeing to a deal with Mercedes has piqued the interest of the Bristol-born driver.

Speaking to RACER, the 24-year-old claimed that a Lewis Hamilton-esque move to Ferrari would be “cool.”

“I would never say no to it. I think it’s still a cool thing like that. But I would say the Lewis [Hamilton] move is cool. That’s all I would say. And I respected that. I thought that was a cool move to do.”

Norris, per this interview, is a fan of how Hamilton achieved his life-long dream of signing with Ferrari. But that doesn’t mean that he will pull of a similar move (yet). In 2023, McLaren started the season horribly, and Norris struggled to put his car into the top 10 on several occasions. However, with time, they brought in upgrades which turned their season around.

Norris finished on the podium a total of seven times in 2023, and the progress made by his team was enough to convince him that the future is bright. Hence, heading into the 2024 campaign, Norris signed an extension.

Even before that, Norris didn’t have to worry about his future . His previous contract ran until 2025, allowing him to focus on his racing. Nearly a week after Norris announced he would extend his stay in Woking, Hamilton dropped the bombshell news of his Mercedes departure.

Lando Norris does not regret his decisions

Norris had a contract heading into the 2024 campaign, but Hamilton’s Ferrari move created the potential for a domino effect that could have seen several shock movements between the teams. There is still a vacancy at Mercedes, as the team keeps searching for a Hamilton’s replacement.

Norris could have chosen to join the Silver Arrows, or take a look at the Red Bull seat (which he was strongly linked to). Still, he chose to continue his F1 journey with McLaren, with whom he has been with since making his debut in 2019.

Quoted by Sky Sports, Norris expressed confidence in McLaren’s plans. “I’m confident in my team, I’m confident in what we’ve been able to achieve and what we can achieve going into the future, and I’m very happy with where I am.”

Norris is excited to move forward with McLaren. The British driver believes his team is capable of becoming a top team in the near future and admitted to currently enjoying his time, further reaffirming his faith in the Woking-based team.

Lewis Hamilton shocked the world earlier this year when he announced he would leave Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025. He fulfills a life-long dream, and in addition to performing well and winning on the track, Hamilton wants to win over the passionate Ferrari fanbase. For that, in a recent video, Hamilton can be seen practicing his Italian.

An interviewer asked Hamilton to speak a few sentences in Italian, and the 39-year-old replied with a laugh, “I don’t know. I really don’t remember sentences. Oh jeez, I can’t remember. Haven’t had to speak Italian for a long time. I don’t know how good it is. But I spoke about like, I was trying to learn how I was feeling in the corners with the car“.

Then, Hamilton attempted to repeat what he had just described, in Italian. From this interaction, it was evident that Hamilton needs to practice a lot, if he wants to be fluent in the language. Thankfully, he has been thinking about doing so for a long time.

Hamilton’s Ferrari move became official this season, but he did drop hints about moving to Maranello previously too. These hints were related to him learning Italian, as at the 2023 Italian GP in Monza, the Stevenage-born driver told fans that he had to learn the language, “for sure.” 

Why did Lewis Hamilton decide to join Ferrari in 2025?

Soon after Lewis Hamilton confirmed that he would leave Mercedes for Ferrari in 2025, Toto Wolff explained why the British driver made such a decision, having signed an extension just a few months ago. In an interview, Wolff revealed that Hamilton was not happy with the short-term extension Mercedes offered him.

Ferrari capitalized on the same and offered Hamilton a 1+1 year deal that will last until the end of the 2026 season. Moreover, according to F1 expert Lawrence Barretto, Ferrari also put more effort into making Hamilton feel welcome.

According to Barretto, Ferrari offered “the world” to Hamilton. Reports have suggested that the seven-time F1 champion signed a $435 million long-term contract with the iconic Italian stable, that goes beyond his driving duties.

This deal with Ferrari includes an ambassadorial role for Hamilton after he retires from F1. Additionally, Ferrari also offered Hamilton a sizeable amount of money to fund his charitable organizations such as Mission 44.

Shortly after Fernando Alonso announced his contract extension with Aston Martin, reports began linking Carlos Sainz to Mercedes. After months of speculation, Sainz seems to be heading to the Brackley-based outfit if the reports turn out to be true, but Red Bull driver Max Verstappen dropped a major hint about Sainz’s future with a cryptic Instagram post.

Verstappen.com, which is the Dutchman’s official website has an Instagram profile. There, pictures of Sainz and Verstappen were posted, dating back to the 2015 Chinese GP, when the two were teammates. The picture shows the two walking side by side, wearing Toro Rosso jackets, with a Red Bull can in their hands.

This post raised a lot of eyebrows because earlier in the season, Sainz was linked with joining Red Bull and teaming up with Verstappen. It seemed like an unlikely move, but Verstappen’s recent post could be hinting at something special. On the other hand, it could just be a throwback to the duo’s first Chinese GP together, which was in 2015 (their rookie season).

For Sainz to join Red Bull, Verstappen’s current teammate Sergio Perez has to make way. So far, Perez seems to be doing well, but as the silly season approaches, the F1 community could be in for some major surprises.

How Lewis Hamilton impacted Carlos Sainz’s future

In February, Ferrari announced that Sainz would not extend his contract with the team. The Maranello-based outfit signed seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton for 2025, just days after agreeing to a new deal with Charles Leclerc. Consequently, Sainz began searching for a new team.

Sainz does not have a lack of suitors. Teams like Sauber, Williams, Mercedes, and Red Bull are reportedly interested in signing him for 2025 and beyond.

However, Sainz’s most probable destination remains Mercedes. As per numerous outlets, the Brackley-based outfit has offered Sainz a 1+1 year deal, and negotiations between the two regarding the contract’s duration are underway.

Sainz remains without a seat for 2025. But as the Spanish driver revealed at the Japanese GP weekend, a decision regarding his future will be announced very soon.

Victoria Beckham has always had her sights set on fashion and beauty — dating back as far as her Posh Spice days.

In a set of clips from an upcoming podcast episode shared exclusively with PEOPLE, Beckham sits down with Lipstick on the Rim host Molly Sims to talk about fashion, beauty and all things spice.

“I learned so much about those Spice Girl days,” Beckham, 48, tells Sims in the exclusive clip. “Being on the stage and wearing a lot of makeup” helped her develop a keen eye for what she liked and what she didn’t when it came to beauty products, she says. “And let me tell you, the more tired that the Spice Girls got, the more makeup we put on our faces,” she jokes.

Her passion for beauty and fashion started during those early Spice Girls days, and she reveals that she would even take fashion meetings early in the morning before performing at night. “It was always a dream for me to create a modern luxury fashion and beauty house, and so I knew I had to do that myself,” Beckham says.

Having already established herself in the fashion world — with both the high-end Victoria Beckham label, launched in 2008, and a more affordable label in 2011 — she finally got the chance to launch into the beauty space in 2016. The opportunity came in the form of a capsule collection with Estée Lauder, and Beckham drew directly on her own makeup needs when creating the collection, which she said she was more than prepared for.

“I have collected over the years so much makeup,” she tells Sims of the Estée Lauder collab. “And I knew what I wanted. I knew what I couldn’t find.”

She added that she believes it was her “attention to detail” with the collection — a 14-piece line consisting of eyeshadow, lip products, mascara and eyeliner — that “blew people away.”

From there, she knew she had a ready-and-waiting audience. “The success of what I did with Estée Lauder really did show that there was an appetite for Victoria Beckham Beauty,” the mother-of-four says.

“But for me to really do what I wanted to do with a real strong focus on clean formulas — but clean formulas that didn’t mean there was a compromise with regards to the product actually working — I knew I had to do that on my own,” she shares with Sims of the process of her working toward her own beauty line.

Since the launch of Victoria Beckham Beauty in 2019, Beckham has seen her reign extend beyond just the fashion industry. “The response to beauty has been phenomenal,” she says.

It’s her keen attention to detail that likely underlies the beauty line’s success. “I obsess over these details,” she tells Sims. “Everything is considered. Everything that I do, everything that my team does, is very, very considered. And it’s all about the execution.”

Her latest beauty achievement comes in the form of eyeliner. Her Satin Kajal eyeliner — which she told Andy Cohen they “literally cannot keep in stock” during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last week — are a big source of pride for the “Wannabe” singer.

“These eyeliners really take it to another level,” she says. “I always say, ‘This is Victoria Beckham turning her lights on.’”

Beckham tells Sims they are “probably my favorite product that we have created to date.” In a recent statement to PEOPLE, she called them “truly the best eyeliners out there.”

“And they haven’t been easy to create, by the way,” Beckham adds. “That’s why I’m so proud of them.”

As her beauty line has taken on a life of its own, the mogul is quick to clarify that fashion remains as much of a focus as ever. In the episode, she also reminisces on her first-ever Victoria Beckham presentation at New York Fashion Week 14 years ago.

She calls her latest collection’s showing in Paris her “comeback moment.” In light of the pandemic, she says her latest show was the first one she was able to truly enjoy, with the time away having given her a newfound appreciation for the world of fashion shows.

I am sure every owner says that but, from day one, he was the dream player I wanted to bring to Miami.

VICTORIA Beckham horrified fans after she revealed that she keeps her ketchup in the cupboard – not her fridge.

The fashion mogul, 46, gave fans a glimpse of her very organised and neat pantry on Instagram this week.

But eagle-eyed fans noticed that the fashionista had ignored storage advice when it comes to her ketchup.

Wearing a pair of turned up jeans with a blue shirt and a chunky navy jumper, Victoria posed with a mug emblazoned with the initial ‘V’.

The fashionista looked relaxed as she sat on top of the counter showing off her impressive condiment and jam selection. Victoria wrote: “Step into my office ☕ #WFH.”

A number of fans were shocked by Victoria’s revelation, with one writing: “Ketchup should be in the fridge!!!” One shocked fan posted: “You don’t refrigerate your ketchup?!”

Another wrote: “Lovely pantry but ketchup should go in the fridge.”

Anyone who has ever purchased a bottle of ketchup will know that somewhere on the back of the label, it says to refrigerate once opened.

Millions of Brits keep their condiments in the fridge as due to the fresh eggs and cream in these products, they can spoil easily.

Expert Dr Lisa Ackerley said: “They can become rancid if they are kept at room temperature.”

As a result it’s wise to keep them in the fridge. Ketchup should also be kept in the fridge as it stays fresher when chilled.
