‘NOT LIKE THAT!’ Brooklyn Beckham slammed by furious Italians for ‘disgusting’ pasta dish as he prepares for new career as a chef

BROOKLYN Beckham has been slammed by furious Italians for his “disgusting” pasta dish as he mixes cream with tomato sauce.

The model and photographer, who is the eldest child of ex-footballer David Beckham and Spice Girl Victoria, took to social media to film his dinner.

But his post was inundated with comments from angry cooks who couldn’t believe what he’d thrown in the pan for an unconventional pasta dish.

Brooklyn, 22, is frequently seen taking to the kitchen with his dad to share some of his favourite recipes as he looks towards a career as a chef.

The star is currently in talks with YouTube and Facebook about creating an online cooking series within the next few months as he turns to a new talent.

While many of his fans love to see his cookery skills on his social media, one pasta dish caught the attention of traditional Italian cooks for the wrong reasons.

Filming himself cooking a “spicy tomato cream pasta”, the model was seen spooning crushed tomatoes from a jar into a pan before mixing in milk.

He went on to toss in cooked pasta and grate Parmesan cheese over the top before spooning the dish into a bowl to tuck in.

Despite receiving many positive comments from friends and fans, including a multitude of heart-eyed emojis from his fiancee Nicola Peltz, most viewers were unimpressed.

Brooklyn received thousands of messages in Italian slamming him for his pasta-cooking abilities – or lack of – and correcting his technique.

“We love you but no, pasta is not like that,” one person wrote in Italian, while a second agreed: “How disgusting! Eat pasta properly.”

“But why don’t you make your own sauce?” a third asked, as a fourth joked his sauce was an outrageous “revenge on Italian people for the Euro cup”.

“Every Italian who has seen this video about cooking pasta is crying,” someone else pointed out as another wrote: “Only non Italians can say this looks good.”

Others tried to encourage Brooklyn to try the recipe again after a lesson from an Italian chef – making his own tomato sauce as a base.

“I’m Italian, I like you but sorry this is not pasta! You can not put milk and tomato together, it’s really disgusting,” one person said.

One woman invited Brooklyn to learn: “Not a jar pleaaase. I can teach you how to make Italian pasta! Ciao Brooklyn.”

Since his attempt at tomato pasta, Brooklyn has posted a number of recipes, including pesto pasta, french toast, burgers and quesadillas.

Each video has amassed hundreds of thousands of likes from fans who are begging for the star to share his recipes and release a cookery series.

A source said of the star’s chef career: “Brooklyn’s got a real flair in the kitchen and the tutorials he has posted on Instagram have received great feedback.

“He has been signed up by an American called Kai Gayoso, who is a digital talent expert. Kai thinks Brooklyn could make an online cookery series a huge success.

“Talks are on- going with YouTube and Facebook about what Brooklyn can offer.

“Brooklyn takes real pride in his cooking and has been given some handy hints and tips by Gordon Ramsay, who is a close friend of the family. It’s all incredibly exciting and Victoria and David are thrilled.”

    USING THE NEW KITCHEN?

Brooklyn has been making the most of the stunning kitchen in his new £7.5million home that he purchased with future wife Nicola.

The loved-up pair splashed the cash on their five-bedroom starter home in an upscale area of Beverly Hills, California.

The lavish 7,000 square-foot residence boasts a luxury kitchen, swimming pool, private yoga room, gym, sauna and a huge wine cellar.

The property is reportedly close to where Brooklyn and his family lived several years ago when dad David played for the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The eldest son of David and Victoria announced he’d popped the question to actress Nicola Peltz last year, presenting her with an incredible £250,000 ring to seal the deal.

Brooklyn met the 26-year-old Hollywood star four years ago at Coachella and started dating her at the end of 2019.

The keen photographer proposed the weekend before Posh and Becks’ 21st wedding anniversary.

Back in May, Brooklyn branded the actress his “absolute world” in a sizzling mirror shot that he shared to his Instagram Story.

They’ve been married for five months but Nicola Peltz has recalled how her first meeting with her husband Brooklyn Beckham wasn’t love at first sight.

The actress first met Brooklyn six years ago through her brother, but in a candid new interview about their romance, she admits they ‘really didn’t get along.’

Speaking to Wonderland Magazine, Nicola remembers how they partied together at Coachella music festival but now looking back at photos they barely interacted.

‘We didn’t click’: Nicola Peltz has recalled how her first meeting with her husband Brooklyn Beckham wasn’t love at first sight in a new interview with Wonderland Magazine

‘I actually met Brooklyn like six years ago at Coachella, through one of my brothers; his name is Diesel,’ Nicola told actress Selma Blair during the Wonderland interview.

She recalled how the now-married couple were both with other partners at the time, admitting: ‘We really didn’t get along. He had a girlfriend and I had a boyfriend, and we just didn’t click at all.’

‘Diesel was like, “Oh my friend Brooklyn wants to crash at our house”, because all my brothers rented a house for Coachella. We barely interacted. We look back at pictures, like group pictures, and I’m with my boyfriend and Brooklyn’s in the corner.’

Fast forward a few years and the couple are now happily married after their lavish Palm Beach wedding back in April.

Nicola gushed about her big day during the interview, explaining how the wedding took place in the middle of her shoot for her new TV miniseries Welcome to Chippendales, in which she plays Playboy Playmate and actress Dorothy Stratten.

‘Yes, I was shooting and I stopped five days before my wedding, and then I shot the week after my wedding,’ Nicola explained of her hectic schedule.

She gushed that her mother Claudia saved the day as she took over the planning duties so Nicola could work right up until the last minute.

‘My wedding was like smack in the middle. It was kind of amazing, because my mom was such a big help in my wedding that I was able to be so involved in the show; I was sucked into this character and then five days before I was like, ‘I’m getting married!”‘

Nicola’s latest tales about her wedding focus on her own family, with no mention of Brooklyn’s parents amid reports of a huge rift between her and mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.

The cold war began when Nicola and Victoria clashed over her wedding dress and the Transformers star accused her new mother-in-law of stealing the limelight at her wedding.

The Beckhams have refused to pay for Brooklyn’s US green card, a source claims, and, most recently, the one-time Spice Girl snubbed her son and daughter-in-law for her new Paris Fashion Week show, says another family insider.

Though the newlywed chef and Transformers actress are happy and fawning over each other, trouble has been brewing between their two houses.

A source who knows Nicola well says that the drama began around her and Brooklyn’s Palm Beach, Florida, wedding – and has only escalated.

As a celebrity designer, many in the fashion world assumed Victoria, 48, would be designing Nicola’s wedding dress. But instead, the bride appeared on the May cover of Vogue in Valentino couture.

Nicola later gave an interview insisting that ditching Victoria’s offer was not designed to be a slight against her new mother-in-law.

‘I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,’ she told Variety last month.

But one insider said Nicola, 27, ‘never’ intended to wear Victoria Beckham at her wedding.

‘She was always just going to let her design something. But she was never going put that on her,’ the source said. ‘She has too many actually talented designer friends.

‘It’s like when you have an in-law, and they say they make the best meatballs, you hate meatballs, but you let them cook it anyway. That’s exactly what happened.

‘She was never, ever going to wear it.’

Another source with knowledge of the dress controversy was led to believe Nicola really was considering wearing her mother-in-law’s design, but was left in the lurch at the ‘last minute.’

‘Valentino was concerned that they didn’t’ have enough time to do the dress because Victoria didn’t tell the Peltzes that her atelier couldn’t make the dress for Nicola until the last minute,’ the second source said.

After the dress drama unfolded, Nicola became offended when David and Victoria’s close friend Marc Anthony gave a gushing speech at her wedding – all about Victoria, according to one insider.

‘It was totally just an ode to Victoria and how awesome she is. Nicola loves to be the center of attention, especially on her wedding day. So this really, really p***ed her off,’ the source said.

‘She stormed off in the middle of her wedding reception with [sister] Brittany and her mom, and was crying her eyes out.’

Another source agreed Nicola was upset during the reception – but said it wasn’t because Anthony was gushing about Victoria.

This insider claimed that Posh Spice stole the newlyweds’ First Dance song for her own mother-son dance moments before Brooklyn and Nicola were meant to two-step in front of their guests.

A source at the wedding told DailyMail.com: ‘Marc asked Nicola and Brooklyn to pick their favorite song to dedicate to them, and that one was their favorite.’

‘Nicola left the room because she and Brooklyn thought Marc was introducing them for a special dance to a love song the couple had chosen,’ the second source said.

‘But without any warning and at the request of Victoria, Marc switched it to a mother-son dance using the same song.

‘Most of the guests could tell something off had happened. It was uncomfortable for the couple who were thinking it was to be a special moment for them.’

Details of the supposedly ‘private’ tea party were shrouded in secrecy until yesterday morning, when both David and Victoria Beckham decided to treat their combined 55million followers on Instagram to a series of photographs to mark Harper’s birthday.

The ‘indiscreet’ publication of the pictures – showing the youngster enjoying the run of the royal residence – caused frustration at the Palace. One image was taken by the former footballer inside Andrew’s private office with Princess Eugenie, it is understood.

Eugenie, 27, who is eighth in line to the throne, can be seen kneeling down with her arms around two of Harper’s five friends.

Underneath the picture, David wrote: ‘Lucky Harper meeting a real life princess at the Palace x.’

King Charles asks David Beckham ‘what was all that at Wembley’ after England’s 1-0 loss to Iceland during warm-up friendly ahead of Euros

King Charles III joked with David Beckham last night about England’s 1-0 defeat to Iceland, asking the former captain: ‘What was all that at Wembley?’

The monarch was all smiles with Beckham as they attended the inaugural King’s Foundation awards ceremony at St James’s Palace in London yesterday.

Charles and former Manchester United midfielder Beckham were both seen laughing and heard discussing England’s chances in the Euro 2024 championships.

Referring to England’s loss in a friendly to Iceland last Friday, Charles said: ‘What was all that at Wembley?’ Beckham replied: ‘I don’t think we should read much into it.’

Charles said: ‘It doesn’t really matter does it? It was a warming up sort of thing. You don’t want to expend it all in one go at the beginning.’

Reassuring the King, Beckham said ‘we’ll be ready, Gareth (Southgate) will be ready’ to which Charles gave the former footballer a thumbs up.

The King was celebrating the work of his foundation alongside celebrity ambassadors who also included Sir Rod Stewart and Naomi Campbell.

Earlier, Sir Rod shared a joke with Beckham as he took to the stage to present an award and teased the former footballer that his knighthood was ‘coming soon’.

The singer, who is a supporter of the charity, attended the event with his wife Penny Lancaster who pecked the King on the cheek as she greeted him after the awards had been handed out.

Of his joke at Beckham’s expense, Sir Rod told reporters at the event: ‘Someone has to lighten the atmosphere in the room you know – he’s a good sport.’

Today, Kensington Palace revealed the Prince of Wales is to travel to Germany to cheer on the England team as they face Denmark in Euro 2024.

William, president of the FA, will watch Southgate’s side in their second Group C stage match at the Frankfurt Arena on June 20 – the day before his 42nd birthday.

The heir to the throne, who visited the squad to wish them good luck on Monday before they left for Germany, faced criticism in 2023 for not attending the England women’s team’s World Cup football final against Spain in Sydney.

It was the first time the Lionesses had reached the final of a World Cup, and the first time an England football team had competed in a World Cup final since the men’s side beat West Germany in 1966.

William presented shirts to the England men’s squad at the start of the week when he made a surprise visit to St George’s Park, England’s national football centre in Burton upon Trent.

The trip will be a solo one for William. The Princess of Wales is away from public duties at the moment while she continues her treatment for cancer.

With the fixture taking place on a school night, the Waleses’ children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis – are not expected to accompany him.

William, a passionate Aston Villa fan, will not be at England’s first match of the Uefa tournament – against Serbia – in person on Sunday, but he will undoubtedly be glued to the TV, watching the game.

Becks has recently been unveiled as an ambassador for the King’s Foundation – after bonding with Charles over a fondness of homegrown honey.

The former England ace, 49, was appointed his new position on May 31 and couldn’t help telling of his “excitement” at teaming up with the monarch.

A source at Charles’ charity, founded in 1990, said: “The King and David Beckham have really bonded over their similar interests.

“This is a massive thing for him and he’s delighted. He is really passionate about his new role.”

The Awards serve as a platform to honour the outstanding efforts of students, teachers, alumni, and partners who have significantly contributed to the Foundation’s mission across various sectors.

Other celebs at the event included Naomi Campbell, Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster, and Sienna Miller.

The move comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed last month how the pair bonded over a jar of honey during a recent private meeting at the monarch’s Gloucestershire residence.

Ex-Manchester United baller Becks surprised the King, 75, last year with a jar of his homemade honey then chatted about their passion for beekeeping.

Nature-lover Charles was also impressed by Beckham’s knowledge and passion for the countryside.

Beckham, who lives in the Cotswolds with his fashion designer wife Victoria and his family, said in a statement: “I’m excited to be working with The King’s Foundation and to have the opportunity to help raise awareness of the charity’s work.

“I’ve always been keen to help young people to expand their horizons and I’m particularly looking forward to supporting the Foundation’s education programmes and its efforts to ensure young people have greater access to nature.

“Having developed a love for the countryside I’m also on a personal mission to learn more about rural skills which is so central to the Foundation’s work.

“It was inspiring to hear from The King about the work of His Majesty’s Foundation during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens — and compare beekeeping tips.”

Beckham turned to beekeeping during the Covid lockdowns and built a £500 hive at his country home.

The King will attend the inaugural King’s Foundation Awards on Tuesday alongside alumni, students and ambassadors.

‘Warming up. We’ll be ok,’ the sportsman said. The King added: ‘Because you don’t want to expend it all in one go at the beginning.‘ ‘We’ll be ready,’ Beckham said.

Tonight’s awards, which are planned to be an annual event, saw nine awards given out, culminating in the monarch personally presenting The King Charles III Harmony Award, given to an individual to recognise their long-term commitment to the foundation’s mission.
