Beckham made a move that made fans gloat after he discovered he was being taken advantage of by Meghan

It was previously reported that the Sussexes were no longer speaking to the Beckhams, and Tom Bower thinks he knows why.

“She took them for a ride. She lived in their house. She got free clothes. She did everything she could to milk them and then dump them,” Bower said during a GB News appearance.

“Mr. Bower also said the Duchess of Sussex was worried the Beckhams would ‘overshadow’ her.”

“Harry invited the Beckhams to come to Sydney for the Invictus Games … He gets there and Harry doesn’t want to see him …

I think the reason was that Meghan was deeply worried that she would be overshadowed by the Beckhams,” the royal biographer added.

Once she became a duchess, Meghan’s close circle slowly changed, and one insider sympathized with the Beckhams.

The Royal Observer previously reported David was rumored to be “absolutely bloody furious” with the Sussexes.

Shortly after, a source close to the Beckhams revealed their thoughts, and Lizzie Cundy admitted she was outraged by the accusations surrounding the Spice Girl and her footballer spouse.

“Meghan is saying that Victoria leaked stories,” Cundy explained. “The second time I saw Meghan, Victoria was at the event and I’ve never seen anyone squeal quite like it, Meghan was so thrilled with excited to see Victoria Beckham. She went ‘Oh my God, that’s Victoria Beckham!’”

The former bond girl later defended Victoria, claiming that Meghan was a superfan of the fashionista before becoming a member of the royal family.

“It was crazy, I thought ‘You’ve got to calm down and be cool.’ Now Harry has apparently listened to Meghan claiming Victoria has done stories saying where Meghan was going to go,” Cundy shared. “There were places Victoria told Meghan to go to when she came to London and they started appearing in the press.”

David suddenly revealed that the reason he left MU was because of his close friend Gary Neville, what happened?

The DC star told Manchester United icon David Beckham that he is a huge Gary Neville fan.

Legendary England footballer David Beckham visited India as UNICEF’s goodwill ambassador during the 2023 edition of the ICC World Cup.

The former Real Madrid midfielder and Manchester United icon watched the ICC World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand with legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at the Wankhede Stadium.

On a three-day visit to India, the English football icon met batting legends Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

With Beckham becoming the cynosure of all eyes in the World Cup semi-finals, the former Manchester United captain had a brief chat with spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav.

In conversation with veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, the Delhi Capitals star recalled his lesser-known interaction with Beckham.

Kuldeep told Beckham that he became a fan of the Red Devils after watching Paul Scholes.

‘I am a huge Gary Neville fan’

“I met him after the game (2023 WC against SL) and told him that I used to watch Manchester United because of Paul Scholes. I spoke a bit too directly (laughs). I also told him that I am a huge Gary Neville fan and requested him to let him know whenever he meets him. I told that after I finish my career I probably want to try being a football manager,” Kuldeep told Ashwin.

Kuldeep picked up 11 wickets for India at the World Cup last year. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India recorded a perfect 10 in the round-robin phase of the ICC event. However, India lost the final to Australia at home. Speaking to Ashwin on his YouTube channel, Kuldeep revealed that he wanted to become a fast bowler after watching Pakistan legend Wasim Akram at the 2003 World Cup.

“I watched Wasim Akram during the 2003 World Cup and I admired him so much that I wanted to be a left-arm fast bowler. But then once my coach Kapil Pandey asked me what my father’s height was. He then realized that maybe since my father was short I also may not become quite tall so instead of fast bowling, I changed into being a spinner,” Kuldeep added.

Victoria Beckham teases husband David’s ‘next move’ as he poses for a photo wearing a torn shirt

Victoria Beckham has jokingly teased her husband David’s next career move after he shared a snap she’d taken of him in the gym.

The fashion designer is no stranger to sharing a cheeky snap or two of her other half but this time, while she was the photographer, it was David doing the sharing.

Taking to his Instagram page, the former footballer showcased his ripped abs and countless tattoos as he enjoyed a session in the gym.

David, 48, could be seen sporting just a pair of navy sports shorts and kept his feet covered in a pair of bright green trainers.

The ex-England and Manchester United star was seen looking away from the camera, surrounded by gym equipment,

as he thanked his wife Victoria, 50, for being his ‘lighting technician’ while posing in the couple’s dimly-lit home gym.

Alongside the post, he wrote: “Can’t beat a little down lighting. Thanks to my lighting technician @victoriabeckham with a little help from @mrbobbyrich”. And Spice Girl was quick to re-share her husband’s sexy snap to her own Instagram Story as she wrote: “Loving David’s album cover!!”

It comes days after Victoria shared her ‘best gift’ after enjoying a star-studded bash to mark her 50th birthday. The evening before her special day, on April 17, Victoria shared a gorgeous snap with her millions of followers in which she could be seen posing for the camera while seemingly whipping off her black blazer to show off her tiny matching bra.

She reflected on being “blessed” to have made it to her fifth decade as she referenced her achievements within her career as well as her family life alongside her former footballer husband.

After being flooded with birthday wishes on the day itself from husband David, her children, showbiz pals and fans, Victoria marked the milestone occasion with a birthday bash which saw the Spice Girls reunited and more celebrity appearances from the likes of Tom Cruise and Salma Hayek.

The 1990s girl group, comprised of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Victoria, were seen dancing to their hit song Stop, which was released in 1998. Victoria’s husband, former England footballer David, posted a video to Instagram of the fivesome performing the song as he gleefully looked on.

Victoria also posted the video to her social media and wrote: “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me!I love you all so much!” Later on, Mel B, nicknamed Scary Spice, reposted the video to her Instagram Story and wrote: “About last night #tourdatescomingsoon.”

But the birthday girl has since described reuniting with her four bandmates as ‘the best gift’ as she shared a string of snaps from the special evening. Victoria could be seen posing for the camera alongside Mel B, Mel C, Emma and Geri as well as Tom Cruise, Marc Anthony and best pal Eva Longoria.

Captioning the post to her 32.9 million followers, Victoria said: “The best gift to be reunited!! Thank you to all my friends and family for celebrating with me. Kisses! xxx.”

Beckham and Anthony share something of a bromance, and the former soccer player was among the well-wishers as the singer celebrated his 55th birthday this weekend.

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham took to social media this weekend with heartfelt birthday messages for his close friend Marc Anthony, who turned 55 on Saturday.

“Once a brother always a brother”

Posting on Instagram Stories, Beckham shared a photograph of himself mid-laugh with the singer, alongside the caption: “Once a brother always a brother. Happy Birthday man, love ya”.

Beckham also posted an image in which he and Anthony can be seen smiling and drinking wine in front of a festively-decorated fireplace. “We laugh as one,” the 48-year-old wrote.

Beckham’s emotional tribute in Walk of Fame ceremony

Earlier this month, Beckham made a surprise appearance at Anthony’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, delivering an emotional speech in which he spoke of the strength of his friendship with the four-time Grammy winner.

“I first met Marc 20 years ago when I was playing for Real Madrid,” Beckham said, as Anthony wiped away tears.

“It’s probably not a cool thing to say, but I was very star-struck when I met Marc, because on the way to every Real Madrid game, I used to listen to his music. I now dress a little bit like him, and I learned salsa for one man only – but please don’t tell my wife.

“When we met, we immediately had a special connection. I knew that I had a friend for life. Over the years, our friendship has grown, and Marc is family.

“He’s godfather to my son Cruz, and someone that I love to spend time with.”

  • David Beckham confronts Brooklyn about the Nicola Peltz drama. Is the father-son relationship on the verge of cracking?

David Beckham confronts Brooklyn about the Nicola Peltz drama. Is the father-son relationship on the verge of cracking?

“He had it out with him and told him: ‘We don’t do this in our family — and you know that we don’t do this in our family,’” the insider continued.

They added that David allegedly told Brooklyn, “What happens next is up to you, but we are done with the drama.”

Per the publication, David, 47, was upset over comments made by Peltz, 27, and Brooklyn in a recent interview for Grazia US’ fall 2022 cover story.

The young couple — who tied the knot on April 9 — spoke about the media coverage of Peltz’s relationship with Victoria.

“To be honest, my wife is obviously my first priority and I never want to see her upset ever,” Brooklyn told the outlet.

“When people do say ridiculous things, we just talk about it and we just move on. We have each other’s back 100 percent and we just move on together.”

Peltz also clarified her decision to walk down the aisle in Valentino instead of a design by the former Spice Girl, 48.

“We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn’t hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn’t make it. So, I spoke to my mom and [my stylist] Leslie [Fremar], and I was like, ‘Well, unfortunately, this can’t happen, so what’s the next step?’” she recalled.

“I’ve been a fan of Valentino and their couture for so long. I was really lucky to be able to travel to [the atelier] to try on the dress. That’s really what happened.”

The Daily Mail’s source said that David was “really appalled by the Grazia interview because it seemed to be washing the family dirty linen in public.”

The insider also alleged that Brooklyn’s younger brothers, Romeo, 20, and Cruz, 17, are “also hurt” by the pair’s comments.

Reps for David, Brooklyn and Peltz did not immediately return Page Six’s requests for comment.

Page Six broke the news in August that Peltz and Posh Spice don’t see eye to eye.

“They can’t stand each other and don’t talk,” a source close to the family told us. “The build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”

The source said that Peltz — the daughter of New York billionaire Nelson Peltz — didn’t want her soon-to-be-mother-in-law “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”

In another joint interview for Vogue Hong Kong’s September 2022 cover story, the pair explained how they handle “external commentary” about their marriage amid the feud.

“We always have each other’s back, no matter what. At the end of the day we’re best friends and we wouldn’t have it any other way,” they said.

“We don’t think about our relationship as being in the spotlight, we just think about us as being in a relationship.”

Brooklyn and Peltz have previously denied that there are issues between the “Transformers” actress and Victoria.

“I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that,” the social media chef told Variety in their “Power of Young Hollywood” issue. “They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”

David Beckham reveals a stranger left an apology note on his car saying sorry for the abuse the footballer received in the aftermath of 1998 World Cup following the release of his Netflix doc

David Beckham has revealed that he was left an apology note on his car by an unknown person, after the release of his Netflix docuseries.

The former footballer, 49, opened up in the documentary about the abuse he received in the aftermath of the 1998 World Cup.

He was sent off in England’s quarter-final clash with Argentina for kicking out at Diego Simeone after the Argentina captain shoved him to the ground.

England went on to lose the game on penalties, with David being blamed for the defeat and being hit by a torrent of hatred from fans.

He was constantly booed and jeered by fans of opposition clubs for the majority of the following 1998-99 season, with a burning effigy of him and death threats among the worst of the backlash

After opening up on the abuse in his docuseries, David received a wave of support from the public, who praised him for his strength during the difficult time.

Speaking about the effect of his candidness in an Emmy Extra Edition cover of VARIETY, he said that he was glad that it made people take mental health more seriously.

He said: ‘I think that my takeaway from my documentary was how important mental health is. Because, 20 years ago, nobody was talking about it. And nobody was taking it seriously.

‘Now, it’s so great that people can actually talk about their feelings… There were many things said about us over the 27 years. It can be hurtful.’

David went on to reveal that recently he and wife Victoria, 50, had gone to a pub and returned to their car to find a note with no name or address.

He said: ‘It read, “We’re sorry how you were treated.” I’ve got the letter still. But that’s how people, I think, felt after the documentary.’

David opened up on the turbulent period in his series last October, confessing he was a ‘mess’ and left unable to eat or sleep, while Victoria revealed that he suffered from clinical depression and the experience ‘broke’ him.

He recalled feeling ‘very vulnerable and alone’ as he landed back in the UK to hordes of jeering spectators and negative press.

His father Ted admitted David was ‘distraught’ when he met him, saying the young sports star ‘fell into my arms and said, “I’ve left everybody down.”‘

Growing emotional as he reflected on the backlash he received, David confessed: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it because I can’t. I find it hard to talk about what I went through because it was so extreme. The whole country hated me.’

Detailing the horrific abuse – which became so bad that he was unable to visit the toilet unattended for fear of being attacked on the way – he continued: ‘Wherever I went, I got abused every day.

‘To walk down the street and see people look at you a certain way, spit at you, abuse you, come up to your face and say some of the things that they said, that’s difficult. I wasn’t eating, I wasn’t sleeping, I was a mess.’

The sport legend, who was just 23 at the time, also detailed the impact it had on his parents, Ted and Sandra, noting: ‘It brought a lot of attention that I would never wish on anyone, let alone my parents and I can’t forgive myself for that.

‘That’s the tough part that happened then. I’m 47 years old now and I beat myself up about it still. Inside it killed me.’

David Beckham insists the long-awaited Spice Girls reunion tour is ‘unfortunately not happening’ as former footballer shuts down rumours once and for all

David Beckham has shut down the long-awaited Spice Girls reunion tour once and for all, saying it is ‘unfortunately not happening’.

The football boss, 49, cited Victoria’s beauty and fashion business as the reason for the tour not happening.

Mel B has teased multiple times this year that the Spice Girls will reunite for one last hurrah, the last of which was in April.

The last time all five women – Victoria, 50, Mel B, 49, Mel C, 50, Emma, 48, and Geri, 50 – performed together was at the 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

David, who graces the cover of the Emmy Extra Edition of VARIETY, said: ‘I know it’s what people want, but in all honesty, I think I was the most excited of anyone.’

Recalling Victoria’s 50th birthday, he said: ‘The fact that, obviously, we had all of the girls in one room.

‘All of the girls haven’t been on a stage together for over 15 years. So, to have them all there, to have them all up on stage, to have our youngest son playing guitar?’

In the interview, David shut down tour rumours firmly, saying: ‘Unfortunately, that’s not happening.

‘Victoria was so pleased to see the girls, and it was a massive part of her life, the girls, but obviously, all the girls have got their own things going on.

‘They will do certain things together at certain times. But Victoria’s full on with her beauty and fashion businesses. If anyone’s busier than me, it’s her.’

David Beckham has shared the concerns he had around his daughter Harper watching his Netflix documentary.

BECKHAM follows Posh and Becks in their personal and professional lives, going through their history together with interviews of the couple.

The footballer, 49, told of his struggles with his mental health after becoming public enemy No 1 following his infamous red card upset during the 1998 World Cup, with abuse being levelled at him and his family including angry fans throwing their TVs out of windows and an effigy of him being hung outside a pub.

His wife Victoria, 50, also joined him in speaking for the first time about the pain suffered in the aftermath of claims about his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos , with the former Spice Girl breaking down in tears as she confides it was the ‘hardest’ time of her life.

And speaking to VARIETY on his worries over Harper, 12, watching the show, David explained: ‘I was a little bit worried about my daughter seeing some of the things that were being said about me over the years and how she would react.

He added that nothing surprised Harper: ‘I’ve been telling my daughter for a long time that Mommy used to wear very, very short skirts. And then she was like, “Daddy, Mommy did really wear really, really short skirts!” But she loved it.’

It comes after David revealed what inspired him to film his tell-all documentary, BECKHAM, as he dubbed it a ‘love letter’ to football and his family.

The former Manchester United midfielder, 47, said there was only really one reason why he wanted to give the world an insight into current home life.

Football legend David is married to former Spice Girl Victoria and they share four children – Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12.

Speaking on Good Morning America, he said he wanted to combine all those aspects, package it together and gift it to his sport and family as a ‘love letter’.

He told show hosts Robin Roberts, Michael Strahan, Lara Spencer and George Stephanopoulos: ‘The only reason I did it was because it was kind of a love letter to my career and the sport and also, more importantly, my family.

‘My family have been such an incredible support system throughout my whole life and my whole career.

‘To have all that archive and all that footage in one place, literally I could go, ”there you go” and that really was the only reason to do it.’

BECKHAM premiered in October 2023, and while chatting on GMA, David revealed that it wasn’t until then that his youngest son, Cruz, realised just how good his father was at football.

Speaking live in Times Square on the show, he said: ‘But one funny thing was, we watched the premiere and as we are driving back to the house, my youngest son Cruz turns round to me and says ”Dad you were really good, I didn’t know.”’

David also revealed that he when he first retired from football, he was not ready to do to an documentary but after ten years had passed he thought it was the right time.

Of course, every one should have the wedding they wish to within the means at their disposal, but in a global cost-of- living crisis “Ben- nifer” perhaps felt it would be a little tone deaf to splash the cash on wedding number four for her, second for him.

So instead, they queued up with four other couples to get their licence and, along with the five kids they have between them, headed off to Vegas’s famous Little White Chapel just after midnight.

They didn’t even pay for an Elvis impersonator because, according to J-Lo, “that cost extra and he was in bed”.

What a far cry from 2003, when they were first engaged and planned a 400-guest extravaganza (called off just hours before the ceremony) with a diamond ring the size of a small planet and three decoy brides.

This time, Ben changed in to his tux in the loo, Jen wore a movie dress she’s had for ages, and the pair of them look wonderfully content and carefree — perhaps liberated from all the fuss and attention that usually goes hand in hand with high-profile weddings.

    Brooklyn and Nicola seem happy.

But would they have been less so if they’d popped to Vegas for a quickie and donated some of the reported £5million cost of their lavish wedding to a good cause instead?

And what about Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries that cost around $10million and lasted 72 days?

Or her later wedding to Kanye West that reportedly notched up a $12million bill and is now over?

Petra Ecclestone’s first marriage to James Stunt cost around £12million and ended in acrimony.

Last weekend, she married Sam Palmer in a “low-key” ceremony costing around £1million.

    Cripes.

Perhaps if you’re an Ecclestone, that’s considered cheap.
Of course, there are plenty of lavish celebrity weddings where the couples are still together.

But cost aside, I wonder how many of them look at the simplicity of Bennifer’s big day and wish they’d done the same?

No fuss, no guests fretting about the table plan, no tricky relatives to deal with, no giant screens needed to shield the bride from prying eyes, no paparazzi helicopters circling overhead, no temperamental dress designer barking orders at flustered assistants, no vegetarian/vegan options to worry about and no giant rock you worry about being mugged for.

Just you two, your kids, and a cheap and cheerful ceremony with the minimum of fuss. Heaven.

Better still, the stats for it lasting the course are stacked in your favour.

    ‘Words fail me’

A REPORT by the Police Foundation says that “low-risk” of-fenders who view child sexual abuse images online should be given conditional cautions rather than be prosecuted.

    Words fail me.

Has anyone told them that those child abuse images online only exist because these sick voyeurs are creating the demand for them?

    VILLA’S MAN BABIES

JUST to be clear, it wasn’t his ADHD that made Love Island contestant Jacques O’Neill behave like a petulant man-child towards Paige Thorne.

It was simply because he’s a petulant man-child. End of.

And fellow Islander Luca Bish, who doesn’t have ADHD, isn’t far behind him.

    Ice dream

ACCORDING to one report, the “must have” accessory right now is a £3,000 “ice bath” for the back garden.

Right now, I can see the point.

But the second we’re all back to moaning how woeful the UK weather is, it will become the world’s most expensive bird bath full of algae, brown leaves and a few dead flies.

    A COVER S-TORY?

PM contenders Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss pulled out of a proposed third TV debate scheduled for last night, reportedly because they fear Tory in-fighting could damage the party.

Or, given that they’ve already laid out their stalls twice before and the temperature gauge was nudging 40 degrees, did they correctly assume that no one except political geeks would be watching?

PS. Like everyone else, I’ll engage with it when it reaches the final two today and gets interesting.

    ‘Age-old technique’

M&S is hoping to reduce household waste by removing best-before dates on hundreds of fresh products.

Quite right too. I’ve ignored them for years, preferring to use an age-old technique for determining whether food is still edible or not.

    It’s called a nose.

BEAUTY AND BRAINS – GANDY IS MORE THAN JUST EYE CANDY

MALE supermodel David Gandy says the temptations to make easy money are everywhere but advises that: “Saying no to something is as important as saying yes.”

He adds: “Some offers I get are silly.

“Like ice cream, sweets or fizzy drinks ads, which I won’t do because I’m working with Jamie Oliver against obesity, so that would be wrong.

    “And I turn down acting roles because . . . I can’t act.”

So, not only gorgeous and successful, but also principled, down to earth and realistic. Be still my beating heart.

    ‘Far too much sex’

AUTHOR Jilly Cooper has re-read her hit book Riders and says there’s “far too much sex” in it.

Which is precisely why it sold 67squillion copies worldwide.

    DANCE FUN, NO PHONES

ATTEND any large concert these days and you’ll see thousands of people viewing it through their phone screens as they record every song or utterance.

Which is why, last week, my outing with two friends to Secret Cinema’s Dirty Dancing event proved be to especially magical.

For not only were we propelled back to the 1950s via an expertly built replica of Kellerman’s holiday camp and its hideaway “Dirty Dancing” club, but the use of mobile phones was banned.

Consequently, hundreds of young people were “in the moment” and looked all the happier for it.

    ‘Feeling flirty’

ACCORDING to emoji experts (other professions are available) the winking smiley face isn’t, as baby boomers might view it, a cheeky gesture that shows you’re joking.

For the Gen Z generation, it means “feeling flirty”.

Hence, one assumes, the “Twitter storm” (yawn) over Dominic Raab’s wink at Angela Rayner during PMQs while the rest of the country rolled their eyes and wondered what all the fuss was about.

    ‘No respect’

ACTOR Mickey Rourke says of Tom Cruise: “The guy’s been doing the same effing part for 35 years. I got no respect for that.”

Given that Cruise’s latest movie Top Gun: Maverick has now taken more than £1billion at the box office, one imagines he’s not losing too much sleep over this churlishly narrow view of his talents.

    HARRY’S BLUES

THEY say a picture can paint a thousand words.

In which case, this one of Harry and Meghan at a Mandela Day event paints the impression that she knows where the cameras are, while her husband stares miserably in to the middle distance seemingly oblivious to his surroundings.

It’s what’s known as “a brown study”. Or, as seems here, a distinctly blue one.

WIFE STRIFE Victoria Beckham ‘devastated by rift’ with Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz following wedding mix-up

VICTORIA Beckham is said to be “devastated” over a rift with her son Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz following a mix-up at the couple’s wedding.

Their friendship cooled after Victoria danced with Brooklyn to a song that was meant to be performed for him and his new wife.

Marc Anthony, who is godfather to Victoria and David Beckham’s youngest son Cruz, was singing live on the night when she requested the “mother and son” moment.

According to MailOnline a furious Nicola, 27, stormed out of the room accompanied by her own mother.

Nicola has not supported her mother-in-law on social media in months and was not in attendance at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show in July.

One friend said: “Victoria loves having all of her children around her, it is how she loves to spend her time the most.

“She has always been so warm and welcoming to her sons’ girlfriends and absolutely adored Nicola from day one.

“But things have got tricky and it is upsetting for her, she is heartbroken.”

Last month Nicola appeared to take a swipe at her famous in-laws — saying her new hubby felt “pressured” into careers he did not enjoy.

Speaking to Tatler Magazine, Nicola said Brooklyn, 23, felt “a lot of pressure to please people with his career and he didn’t love it.”

She went on to say Brooklyn – who has embarked on a cooking career – was turning to her father, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, for advice.

Nicola said: “Brooklyn is getting into very exciting things with his shows and also business things and it’s really sweet.

“I watch him call my dad and say, ‘What do you think about this?’ I love watching him learn from my dad.”

It was also claimed on social media that Brooklyn had snubbed former Spice Girl Victoria on Mother’s Day after he failed to mark the occasion online.

Prior to Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish £3million wedding photographed by Vogue in April, Victoria and actress Nicola couldn’t heap enough praise on one another.
