Cruz Beckham unveils religious inking on waist that matches dad David Beckham’s tattoo

Cruz Beckham has unveiled a new tattoo amid his birthday this week and it matches a religious-themed inking that his father David Beckham’s had for quite some time.

The youngest son of David, 48, and Victoria Beckham, 49, is no stranger to body art and Cruz, 19, now has a new tattoo on the left side of his waist. It depicts Jesus sitting beside a cross, resembling ink that his father David’s had for years.

The former footballer’s son got his version from a tattoo studio in London. Photos from the experience at one of the London Social’s studios were shared on Instagram this week by tattoo artist Pablo, who’s known as Certified Letter Boy.

Cruz showcased the tattoo in some of the photos that were shared on the platform. Others showed him beside tattoo artist Pablo – whose clients have included Liam Payne and Love Island stars – including of them outside the studio.

It was teased in the caption of the post that Cruz now has a “matching” tattoo with one of his parents. The artist wrote alongside the photos: “[Cruz’s] matching tatt with [David]. Honoured to recreate this Jesus piece for you bro.” The post was later shared by Cruz on his Instagram Story.

It isn’t the first time that Cruz has got ink from Pablo though. He’s previously been one of his clients alongside his older brothers Brooklyn Beckham, 24, and Romeo Beckham, 21, who both have a collection of various tattoos themselves.

The latest tattoo was unveiled ahead of Cruz’s birthday on Tuesday. The special occasion has prompted well-wishes and tributes on social media, including from members of his family. His parents have been among those posting about it.

Sharing a throwback photo of himself and Cruz, David wrote in a message to his youngest son: “Happy birthday to my little man. The cheekiest with the kindest heart. Keep being you and keep believing in your dream and working as hard as you do. We love you so much Cruzie and are so proud of you.”

Victoria instead posted footage of Cruz and some of their family singing along to the Four Seasons’ Sherry together. The video showed Cruz beside his eldest brother Brooklyn, their sister Harper Beckham, 12, and their father David.

The former Spice Girls member wrote in the caption that accompanied the clip: “Happy birthday Cruzie. We all love you so much and are so proud of the incredible young man you have become. Sweet, kind and incredibly talented.” She concluded by writing: “The world is your oyster, go get it!”

Cruz also received messages from some of his pals, sharing examples on his Instagram Story this week. He was also met with support and well-wishes in the comments sections of his parents posts, with fans marking the occasion there too.

Taking to the comments section Cruz, 19, joked: ‘For a minute I thought you were going to cook dog risotto xx looks brilliant’.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, went on to skilfully chop onions and garlic before frying  scallops to accompany the dish.

Earlier this year Brooklyn impressed Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay as he made a beef wellington with a fillet estimated to be around £120.

He enlisted his Cruz as his sous chef and spared no expense when it came to ingredients for the Instagram tutorial.

After searing the expensive joint of beef fillet, Brooklyn turned to making the mushroom sauce where he generously poured in a glug of $44 Woodinville Bourbon whisky.

He slathered the beef with mustard and wrapped it up in a layer of mushroom pate and parma ham, before Cruz helped wrap it in pastry and add an egg-wash glaze.

A top London butcher told MailOnline: ‘Looking at the piece Brooklyn is cooking with here, I’d guess it’d be around 1.2 kilos of very good beef.

‘Beef fillet is about the most expensive ingredient on the butcher’s counter. This isn’t quite a whole fillet but for a good piece of grass-fed and probably organic beef of that size I’d guess he’d have spent around £120.’

Proud dad David wrote in the comments: ‘So so good boys love u both’ (sic), while Cruz was so pleased, he wrote: ‘Brooklyn and I are opening a beef wellington only shop’.

And Brooklyn even received rare praise from Gordon, 57, who has eight Michelin stars, and is known for his blunt and critical remarks.

Gordon wrote in the comments: ‘That looks great @brooklynbeckham’.

It’s no surprise the TV chef approves of Brooklyn’s recipe as he taught the youngster how to cook a beef wellington.

He said in an interview back in 2015: ‘I actually really enjoy cooking. Gordon Ramsay taught me how to do a great beef wellington.’

Another said: ‘ok we’ve stepped up from the humble cold sandwich – not sure whether someone is helping outside the edit but it looks good we have to give him that’.

When Brooklyn made his TV cooking debut back in 2021, he was ridiculed for making a sandwich.

He baffled Today show viewers with his English breakfast sandwich, a dish that he ‘learned from his great-grandma’.

However, Gordon applauded Brooklyn on his efforts.

Brooklyn’s cooking has come under fire in the past as many have slammed either his simple recipes, use of pricey ingredients or bandied around accusations of nepotism.

In a recent interview with Insider, he insisted he is not fazed by the criticism as he knows himself he is ‘working his bum off’ and ‘cooking makes him happy’.

He said: ‘To be honest, I’m used to the hate. It doesn’t really bother me. Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me… I’m doing my thing and working my bum off’.

‘My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down.

‘I’m doing my thing and working my bum off. So they can keep writing what they want, but it’s not going to bother me — I’m just going to keep doing my thing’.

As David and Victoria Beckham celebrate 25 years of marriage, the hilarious reasons why Buckingham Palace was inundated with letters for them… and why the Queen and Philip avoided their thrones at 2012 Jubilee pageant, writes CLAUDIA JOSEPH

Their £1million union was splashed across the pages of OK! magazine and was described as the ‘wedding of the decade’ after it outshone the nuptials of Prince Edward and his bride Sophie Rhys-Jones.

Now, as David and Victoria Beckham celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary, it has emerged that Buckingham Palace was inundated with letters for Posh and Becks after they moved into their first marital home.

According to the Spice Girls‘ publicist Alan Edwards, the Royal Mail confused the Beckhams’ love nest Rowneybury – their mansion on the border of Hertfordshire and Essex that was dubbed ‘Beckingham Palace’ – with the monarch’s official London home.

Reflecting on their wedding ceremony ahead of today’s anniversary, he told The Sun: ‘This was a worldwide publicity event, and we knew the interest was akin to that around a royal wedding.

‘In fact, we’d had a complaint from Buckingham Palace saying that they kept getting letters addressed to David and Victoria at Beckingham Palace!’

The marriage even hit the radar of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh: they refused to sit on thrones during the 2012 Jubilee River Pageant in case they looked like the Beckhams, who famously posed on thrones during their 1999 wedding.

When asked why the couple hadn’t sat on the red velvet chairs on the Royal barge, Prince Philip told close friend Gyles Brandreth: ‘Well we’d have looked like Mr and Mrs Beckham, wouldn’t we?’

The Beckhams, who have four children, have mixed in royal circles for more than two decades – since Victoria was a Spice Girl and David was a high-flying footballer.

In 1997, after the death of Princess Diana, Victoria and her fellow Spice Girls joined the then Prince Charles and a star-struck Harry on a royal tour of South Africa to perform a charity concert.

The singer-turned-designer, who gave an interview to The Spectator magazine in which she aired her love of the monarchy, also met the Queen at a Royal Variety show the same year.

And, two years later, she met the Duchess of York when Fergie took Beatrice, then 11, and Eugenie, nine to watch a Spice Girls concert.

At the turn of the century, there were another Royal meet and greet at the Party in the Park, in aid of The Prince’s Trust, when Prince Charles met the couple afterwards.

And, in 2002, at the opening of the Commonwealth Games, David, who was England football captain, handed the baton to the Queen.

Their friendship with the Cambridges began when David, then playing for US team LA Galaxy, was part of the team bidding to host the World Cup.

He travelled with Princes William and Harry to meet FIFA officials in 2010 and, although the bid was unsuccessful, it cemented a friendship with William, who was and remains President of the FA.

The couple went onto be invited to the 2011 wedding of William and Kate, but David made a social faux pas when he wore his OBE on his right lapel rather than his left.

‘We had to pinch ourselves when we got the invite,’ he said afterwards.

‘I’ve become friends with Prince William and Harry as well.

‘We was (sic) brought up to love the Royal Family and when Princess Di was around, the love for her was incredible. The Royal Wedding gave our country a huge lift.’

During Britain’s Olympic year, in 2012, David even teamed up with the Duchess of Cambridge to present the BBC Sports Personality of the Year to cyclist Bradley Wiggins.

But it was their friendship with Fergie and Andrew which caused a real furore.

Having been invited to a tea party at Buckingham Palace for daughter Harper’s sixth birthday in 2017, David posted a photograph on Instagram of the youngster in a Princess Elsa costume from the film Frozen.

Posed in the Palace’s front quadrangle, where photographs are banned, a Palace insider described it as a ‘serious breach of protocol’ and the then Prince Charles was deemed to be ‘seismic with rage’.

However, Charles clearly did not hold a grudge, for he recently appointed Beckham as an ambassador for his charity the King’s Foundation.

The King gave Beckham a tour of his beloved Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, where the pair swapped beekeeping tips.

The move increased speculation that Beckham’s long-held dream of a knighthood might soon be a reality.

Furious Brooklyn Beckham embroiled in row with driver over tense parking dispute

Brooklyn Beckham was spotted in a heated exchange with a fellow driver and found himself in the middle of a parking dispute.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, 24, appeared to be unwilling to back down as was pictured barking back at the unknown man who was seen walking towards his gas guzzling car. At one point in the heated exchange, Brooklyn is posted opening his car door to shout back at the man. Brooklyn tried to park his black 4×4 car in a parking bay when the exchange occurred as the man seemed incredibly frustrated as he was seen flapping his arms in the air.

This comes after the budding chef, who recently launched a pop up restaurant with Uber Eats, realised how small LA is as his ex is now dating his wife Nicola Peltz’s brother. Before Brooklyn met and married Nicola he was dating model Hana Cross but the pair split in 2019. The breakdown of their relationship was public knowledge and their arguments were often caught on camera by waiting paparazzi. But now in a bizarre twist of events, Hana is now dating his brother in law, which could prove to be slightly awkward at family gatherings.

A source told The Sun of Hana’s date with Nicola’s brother: “They looked very intimate and like they were deep in conversation. Brad didn’t seem to mind that Hana had been in a serious relationship with his sister’s husband, or who saw them together.”

The source added that Nicola’s brother was clearly keen to sweep Hana off her feet by taking her to the most lavish spots in LA and it seemed as thought money was no object. Brooklyn married Nicola in 2022 in a very lavish ceremony at her billionaire father’s house.

And it is no secret their love for one another is as strong as ever as they regularly pen loved up messages to one another on social media. Like his father, Brooklyn has a number of tattoos dedicated to his wife, which also include his wedding vows to her.

In a move away from tradition, Brooklyn chose to take on Nicola’s surname, so his name is now Brooklyn Beckham Peltz. Brooklyn got his first tattoo in 2017 and now sports more than 70 inkings in tribute to his wife. There was speculation of a rift between Nicola and Victoria after she reportedly snubbed an offer to wear one of Victoria’s dresses. But in a show of unity, Victoria supported Nicola by attending the premiere of her film Lola.

And she took to social media and wrote: “‘@NicolaAnnePeltzBeckham we could not be more proud of you! Congratulations on your incredible film, Lola. officially in theatres February 9th! Kisses xx @brooklynpeltzbeckham @cruzbeckham’.”

Nicola Peltz forced to cut Brooklyn Beckham from new movie after his awkward blunder

Nicola Peltz Beckham has revealed that she was forced to cut her husband Brooklyn’s cameo in her new film ‘LOLA’ after he continuously made the same awkward mistake while filming.

The American actress, 29, who tied the knot with Brooklyn, 25, in April 2022, has received glowing reviews for her independent film, titled Lola, after making her directorial debut. Nicola’s famous husband Brooklyn, who is of course the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, filmed a scene for Lola. However, his cameo in the movie had to be cut due to the fact he kept looking down the camera lens when speaking.

According to Nicola, Brooklyn was left feeling ‘really upset’ when she had to break the news to him that he wouldn’t be appearing in her directorial debut in the movie she wrote herself about a struggling 19-year-old living in poverty. Lifting the lid on why Brooklyn’s small scene was scrapped, Nicola told People: “He had one line, ‘Hi,’ but he kept saying it in a British accent and he was staring directly into the camera. I was like, ‘Oh God, we have to move on, good lord.’”

“Brooklyn is actually really upset that he did get cut from his one little cameo,” she added. While Brooklyn’s chances of making it big in Hollywood may be even slimmer now, he has continued to support his wife and gushed over her talent’s in a doting Instagram post after the premiere of Lola.

“WOW what a night, Nicola I am so proud of you, you have worked so hard on this and it couldn’t of [sic] turned out more perfect. I love you so much,” he penned. Nicola, who wrote, directed, and starred in independent film, was also supported by Brooklyn’s famous mum, Victoria, who attended the premiere and posed in family photos alongside the couple, her husband David, and Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz.

After the premiere, Victoria took to Instagram to write: “Nicola, we could not be more proud of you! Congratulations on your incredible film, Lola. officially in theatres February 9th! Kisses.” Victoria and her daughter-in-law were seen getting along well at Nicola’s recent film premiere.

It is understood that the two have finally settled their differences. Victoria, 49, and Nicola allegedly had a disagreement over Nicola’s wedding dress design. However, a source said they decided to make peace for the sake of the family. “Victoria took a step back, so Nicola took a step forward and it allowed them to resolve things and move on,” the source revealed.

The insider added that Victoria just wants what’s best for her son Brooklyn. “She just wants the best for her son, and Brooklyn made it clear that Nicola was the number one woman in his life so they had to resolve things,” the source continued.

  • Brooklyn Beckham’s billionaire heiress wife Nicola’s debut film slammed as ‘poverty porn’

Brooklyn Beckham’s billionaire heiress wife Nicola’s debut film slammed as ‘poverty porn’

Nicola Peltz Beckham’s new movie has been slammed by critics, who have branded her directorial debut Lola as “poverty porn”.

Nicola, 29, who married Brooklyn Beckham in a lavish $3m wedding in 2022, wrote and directed the film, in which she also plays the protagonist. But it’s been called “tone deaf” by movie critics, who say the film is packed with “lazy” stereotypes and is an exploitation of the struggles of the working class.

In Lola, which at the time of writing has a 3.9 rating on IMDB, billionaire heiress Peltz Beckham plays the titular character – a young woman who is trying to save enough money to get her queer little brother out of the toxic family home, where he is bullied by their god-fearing, alcoholic mother.

But realising her drug store job doesn’t earn enough to do so, main character Lola turns to stripping. In a continuation of the theme of tired cliches, she starts taking drugs, before becoming a teenage mum – with one critic suggesting the stereotypes border on “harmful”. The “out of touch” themes involving issues around poverty have lead critics to slate the movie, which was released on February 9.

“Lola doesn’t even deserve the hate-watch indulgence that Madame Web received,” Kady Ruth Ashcraft writes in the Guardian. “Filled to the brim with underbaked, oftentimes harmful tropes – the supportive Black best friend, a queer child meeting an unceremonious death, the virginal stripper saved by motherhood, a hypocritical Christian drunk – the film leaves one wondering what could have been achieved if any of these characters or their storylines were given as much attention as the gaffers paid to the light hitting Peltz Beckham’s cheekbones.”

“Rich people always do this in an attempt to alleviate their privilege and they fail each and every time,” one Twitter (X) user wrote in response to Ashcraft’s review of Lola, with another asking: “Why do they always pick this subject…” A third wrote: “This sounds like a film school thesis.”

While making the film, Nicola had to make the directorial decision to pull her husband Brooklyn’s one and only line, after realising his acting skills weren’t up to her standards. According to Nicola, Brooklyn was left “upset” when she broke the news to him that he wouldn’t be making an appearance in her new project.

Lifting the lid on why Brooklyn’s small scene was scrapped, Nicola told The Hollywood Reporter: “Brooklyn is actually really upset that he did get cut from his one little cameo. He had one line, ‘Hi’, but he kept saying it in a British accent and he was staring directly into the camera. I was like, oh God, we have to move on, good lord.

“So, Brooklyn ended up on the chopping block. But I couldn’t have done any of this without him because he was such a massive support to me every day on set which I’m so appreciative of.” And although Brooklyn’s chances of being a Hollywood actor may have been scuppered for now, he’s shown unwavering support for his wife.

Gushing over her talents in a doting Instagram post after the premiere of Lola, he wrote: “WOW what a night, Nicola I am so proud of you, you have worked so hard on this and it couldn’t of [sic] turned out more perfect. I love you so much.”

Nicola, who wrote, directed, and starred in the independent film, was supported by Brooklyn’s famous parents, Victoria and David Beckham, who attended the premiere and posed in snaps alongside the couple, as well as Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz. After the premiere, Victoria took to Instagram to write: “Nicola, we could not be more proud of you! Congratulations on your incredible film, Lola. officially in theatres February 9th! Kisses.”

As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished, achieved & what you have built, Posh Spice, business woman & of course marrying an England captain.”

One of the highlights of the party were all of the Spice Girls performing together for the first time in years, after Victoria rejected the chance to be part of the reunion tour a couple of years ago. Lined up side by side, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel C, Victoria and Mel B let their hair down and performed 1997 hit Stop with a delighted David capturing the moment on video while the women performed the iconic moves of the song.

Sharing the video with eight heart emojis, he wrote: “I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner.” It was a moment that fans loved and they took to the comments in their droves, with one commenting: “David you are the best social media manager out there, thank you for giving the people CONTENT.” While another gushed: “The moment the entire planet has been waiting for.” A third joked: “I am crying cause David’s the groupie here.”

  • Why Nicola Peltz skipped Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday as rumours of a feud are reignited

Why Nicola Peltz skipped Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday as rumours of a feud are reignited

Nicola Peltz skipping Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party has reignited rumours that their feud is back on.

The designer and former Spice Girl celebrated the milestone with a star-studded bash in London, along with her husband David Beckham, their four children Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19 and daughter Harper, 12, as well as many famous faces, such as Tom Cruise and Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls. However, there was one face missing from the celebrity guest list, and that was Victoria’s daughter-in-law Nicola.

The actress, 29, married Victoria and David’s oldest child Brooklyn in a lavish ceremony in Miami back in April 2022, but their nuptials reportedly sparked a bitter rift between the two women. And Nicola has seemingly reignited that feud by being notably absent from the party, instead choosing to spend time with her elderly grandmother in the US. Taking to social media to explain her absence, Nicola uploaded a snap of her hugging her grandmother, who was sweetly given the title of maid of honour at the actress’s wedding.

“My world in my arms,” she wrote, before uploading a shot of Victoria posing with her family ahead of the epic 50th birthday bash at private members’ club Oswald’s. “I’m so sad I’m not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and Naunni,” she wrote, tagging Victoria in the post on Instagram Stories. “I miss you all so much!”

However, fans speculated that the bitter feud between Victoria and Nicola was back on, almost two years after it first started. It began when Nicola was due to wear one of the famous designer’s creations as her wedding dress, but many were stunned to discover she had actually chosen a Valentino gown instead at the last minute. Victoria was reportedly “thrilled” at the time that her then-future daughter-in-law had agreed to have her design a couture creation for her wedding day, and was reportedly heartbroken when Nicola opted for another fashion house.

It was also reported that Nicola was becoming agitated with Victoria wanting to be involved in the planning of her wedding, and “communication was minimal” between the two in the run up to the big day. During the wedding reception, Victoria and David were also snubbed by Nicola, who chose to have her family – as well as groom Brooklyn – seated at the top table, with none of her new husband’s relatives invited to join them.

Singer Marc Anthony, who is a close friend of David Beckham, was involved in another incident on the chaotic wedding day, as he began to perform a touching song while Victoria was dancing with her son Brooklyn. He then delivered a gushing speech about the former Spice Girl, much to the dismay of Nicola, who was spotted leaving the wedding reception with her sister Brittany and mother Claudia Peltz.

Nicola was then splashed across the front of Tatler magazine as she was crowned “The New Mrs. Beckham” by the publication, and her comments in the accompanying interview were rumoured to be a pointed reference to her famous in-laws. She claimed Brooklyn had been under “pressure” for his career choices, and had even turned to her father for financial advice, rather than his own dad David.

She later tried to explain why she had turned down Victoria’s offer to create a wedding dress, as Nicola blamed the designers “atelier” for being unable to do it. “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” she told Variety. “She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”

“You were unexpectedly taken from way us too soon and hope others don’t experience a loss after something as simple as a grooming. You were the cutest little baby girl and we will always think of you. We know you are looking and barking down on us x We love you so much and miss you beyond.”

Nicola, 29, also shared a photo of their beloved hound with the dog close to her face. The actress said that this had been the “hardest month” of her life and this loss just about finished it off. Nicola wrote: “I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath.”

Nicola continued: “We rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later. I’m sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs. Her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for nine years through everything.”

Nicola finished by sharing a warning to those who trust their pets with others. She added: “One day without Nala on earth feels like an eternity. I wish I could have her back in my arms. I pray she’s with my Naunni. I hope I see them soon.” The comments were soon flooded with messages of condolences as fans paid tribute to the couple’s dog. One wrote: “So incredibly sorry for your loss.” Another added: “I’m so sorry, that’s a pain in the heart for sure. Sounds like you loved your Sweet Nala very well.”
