In the aftermath of Lando Norris’ Miami GP win, Sky Sports F1’s Craig Slater asked McLaren CEO, Zak Brown, whether he was now getting a ‘different’ driver in Norris after his maiden Grand Prix win. Citing the examples of Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg, the American billed his driver as one of the future world champions.

Brown acknowledged that winning his first Grand Prix has lifted a weight off his shoulders. Norris is known to be a very self-critical person, and this victory will give him the confidence he requires to excel in the sport. Brown is confident that now Norris could be on the path of emulating world champions like Button and Rosberg.

He told Slater, “It’s awesome. I mean there have been people, like Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg who have gone on to win world championships and it took them long to win a race.”

Former McLaren driver, Button won his first race on the 113th time of asking, at the 2006 Hungarian GP. He then went on to win the 2009 title with Brawn GP. Rosberg, on the other hand, debuted in 2006 but his first win in the sport came during the 2012 Chinese GP. Rosberg then went on to defeat Lewis Hamilton, at Mercedes, for the 2016 crown.

Norris, too, has had to wait for an eternity to finally stand on the top step of the podium. The signs are indeed encouraging for the 24-year-old as McLaren finally seem to have given him a car that is capable of winning races consistently.

Undoubtedly, Norris is a future world champion. McLaren are also building their team around the #4 driver. The Woking team brought their first upgrade package of the season at the Miami GP – and it led to Norris clinching his first F1 victory.

Naturally, the mood within the McLaren camp is one of optimism. Both Norris and Brown are expecting to unlock even more pace from the MCL38 as the season progresses. Norris has signaled his intention to be in the mix for the title in 2025, per Motorsport Week.

While Norris will be looking forward to the 2025 season eagerly, the 2024 season still has a long way to go. The Woking-based team drew first blood at Miami with their upgrades. However, Ferrari will also bring their own revamped SF-24 at the next Grand Prix weekend at Imola. The 2024 title may as well be decided by the team that wins the development war this year.

The power couple shared their reactions to seeing the Northern Lights in photos posted on Instagram Friday, May 10, as the spectacular, colorful display,  known as aurora borealis, reached the U.K. and Europe.

In a photo shared on Victoria’s Instagram Stories, David, 49, was snapped marveling at the purple-pink lights as he stood on a stony path outdoors gazing up at the sky with his arms outstretched.

“Aurora borealis #northernlights,” Victoria, 50, wrote in the caption, tagging her husband.

“This is incredible!!!!” She added as she posted a second close-up photo of the lights beaming across the sky.

David shared his amazement at the sight as he also posted a zoomed-in shot on his Instagram Stories of the Northern Lights — blending from shades bright pink, to purple, to blue.

“Wow no filter,” he wrote in the caption.

The couple’s Northern Lights experience came just over a week after Victoria paid a birthday tribute to David on his 49th birthday on May 2.

“Happy birthday David. I love us getting really old together!😂😂,” she wrote in a message to the former soccer star on her Instagram. “You aren’t far behind me!!!! You are our everything!!!! The best daddy and husband we all love u so, so much xxxxx.”

Last month, the designer went viral in a video captured by her husband from her 50th birthday party in London on April 20 as she reunited with her Spice Girls bandmates Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Melanie “Mel C” Chisolm, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell Horner to perform at the bash.

Speaking about the unexpected reunion on Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 8, David said, “It’s actually been 12 years since they did the Olympics in the U.K. but over 15 years since they actually were on a stage together. So obviously having them all there that night, and I didn’t expect them to all get up on stage.”

“But I had a whole video planned where me and my kids recreated the “Mama” video,” he explained. “My son, who plays the guitar and sings, had a song, and he sang “Mama,” and all of a sudden all the girls got up — and I’m their biggest fan, you know? I tend not to tell my wife that. I tend to tell her that I fancied her, but she was a Spice Girl. I love that about her… So I was a fan.”

Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party brought out the likes of the Beckham kids, Tom Cruise and even a Spice Girls reunion. But one familiar face was missing from the London get-together: Nicola Peltz Beckham.

The 29-year-old actress and wife of Brooklyn Beckham revealed on her Instagram Stories on Saturday, April 20, that instead of attending the party, she was actually spending some quality time with her grandmother.

In one upload, Nicola shared an image of her grandmother — who was her maid of honor at her and Brooklyn’s wedding — smiling while receiving a hug, along with the message, “My world in my arms.”

A follow-up image showed the Beckham family — sans Nicola — posing ahead of the 50th birthday gathering, as Nicola used the photo to note that she wished she could’ve joined her family at Oswald’s, the private members club in London where the festivities were held.

In the family photo, the Beckhams — Victoria and David, 48, their daughter Harper, 12, and their sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, and Cruz, 19 — all dressed to impress while posing on a staircase.

Victoria rocked a sheer mint green gown and Harper wore a champagne-colored dress, while the boys all kept to tuxedos. While David, Brooklyn and Romeo opted for classic black, Cruz wore a standout all-white tux.

During the get-together, a Spice Girls reunion got the internet talking when bandmates Geri Halliwell-Turner, Emma Bunton, Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm and Melanie “Mel B” Brown joined Victoria for a surprise dance routine to their 1997 single “Stop.”

A clip shared by David showed the five women busting out the choreography for party-goers while they stood in the same positions as they did in their music video.

The night ended with David offering his wife, who arrived at the party on crutches after a February gym accident, a sweet piggyback ride out to the car.

A lot of work went into Phoebe Dynevor’s intricate Met Gala look.

On Monday, May 6, Dynevor, 29, walked the famous steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a custom Victoria Beckham dress, making her the first person to attend the annual fashion event in a design by the 50-year-old.

This year’s theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and Beckham definitely managed to capture that with the Bridgerton actress’ stunning pink lace gown featuring hand-cut flowers and a long train.

The Spice Girls star revealed more about creating the look on Instagram, sharing several photos of Dynevor, 29, posing for photographers.

“In a nod to this year’s ‘Sleeping Beauties’ theme, the ethereal silhouette was hand-crafted from archival lace, and embellished with over 300 lace appliqué flowers, hand-cut and hand-sewn onto a tulle base,” Beckham captioned the post, adding the hashtag, “#VBMetGala.”

She also shared a clip and some more snaps of Dynevor attending the star-studded event on her Instagram Stories.

This year’s dress code was “The Garden of Time,” inspired by a short story by JG Ballard. “It’s like something out of a fairytale,” Dynevor told Vogue of the dress. “It has this beautiful train with flowers going all the way up it … It’s very ethereal.”

“I’m very excited to be wearing color! It’s definitely new for me,” she added.

“10-year-old me could never have seen this coming,” Dynevor, whose first ever concert was the Spice Girls, told the outlet ahead of wearing the VB gown.

While speaking to Vogue, Beckham shared, “We decided to use vintage lace from our archives, as there was something quite romantic about reviving it and bringing it back to life — much like a sleeping beauty.”

“[Phoebe is] such a beautiful, talented young woman and I really wanted to design the gown with her in mind — to be almost like an extension of her. We even hand-dyed the flowers to match her skin,” she continued.

Dynevor made her Met Gala debut back in 2022 wearing a black lace Louis Vuitton gown, with the star telling Vogue she wasn’t as nervous to be attending fashion’s biggest night this time around.

“The funny thing about going for the first time is you just have no idea what to expect,” Dynevor told the outlet. “There’s so much going on, and you’re seeing all these [famous] people walking in and wanting to stare at them instead.”

Every decade is defined by a few key hairstyles.

In addition to iconic hair moments, celebs have developed signature hairstyles over the years. Lenny Kravitz has been known to sport long dreadlocks since the ’90s, while Keanu Reeves has maintained shoulder-length tresses for several years.

Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce is a fashion risk-taker who sports bold ensembles and ever-changing hairstyles (and facial hair!). At the beginning of his NFL career, Kelce favored a curly, coifed hairstyle with his trademark beard. He experimented with different variations of this ‘do before moving on to his current buzzed-about look, a fade haircut. Kelce has paired this style with every type of facial hair, from a mustache to a grown-out beard.

After a news outlet referred to his signature hairstyle as “The Travis Kelce” cut in early 2024, the football player set the record straight on the popular look. “Man, I got a good fade, if you need it. It’s a two on top, a nice high to mid fade with a taper on the back,” he said in an interview with ESPN. “But I didn’t invent that — I just asked for it.”

Beckham is a soccer legend and one of those rare people who can pull off nearly any hairstyle – and he’s tried many. During the early days of his soccer career, Beckham rocked a classic ‘90s hairstyle: long, highlighted locks that were slightly falling in his face. In 2000, the former soccer player shocked fans when he debuted a shaved head.

“I had a hairdresser at the time called Tyler. I said to him, ‘I’m gonna cut my hair’ and he was like, ‘Are you sure? You really want to do that?,’ ” Beckham said about the trendsetting cut in an episode of his 2023 Netflix docuseries Beckham. “I never did it to create attention. I’m not that person.”

Though he’s sported a buzzcut a few times since then, Beckham has also embraced a variety of other hairstyles. From long blond locks and a mohawk in the early 2000s to his signature soft, spiky style, he’s clearly a fan of constantly changing up his look.

Lenny Kravitz

Kravitz is the ultimate rock star, with the hair to match. Throughout the ‘90s, the “American Woman” singer was known to sport long dreadlocks. In the early 2000s, Kravitz chopped his hair into a short afro, which was displayed on his 2001 album cover for Lenny. Kravitz has experimented with several other hairstyles over the years, including cornrows and a shaved head, but has more recently returned to his signature dreadlocks.

During an interview with GQ in May 2018, Kravitz said that while it was “freeing” to cut his locs in the 2000s, he chooses hairstyles based on what feels right to him.

“It was very freeing, at that time. And I kept them off for a lot of years. And now I got ’em again,” he said. “It just kinda happened, and it felt like the right thing to let it grow. And it feels very correct right now. But at that time, it was a trip to be able to let that go and continue, without this thing that people identify you with. And it’s good to do that — challenge your own image and how people identify you.”

Making the leap from boy band member to solo artist was more than just a change in music for Harry Styles. While the singer was known for his side-swept curls and later shoulder-length locks during his One Direction days, he opted for a completely new style at the start of his solo career.

In 2017, Styles displayed much shorter locks that were styled in a coiffed ‘do, which he had teased in an Instagram post the year before. Though he’s since developed a trademark mid-length wavy hairstyle, Styles switched it up once again in 2023 by opting for a buzzcut that shocked his fans.

“The fans are so passionate about his hair! At the beginning it made me nervous. Now, though, I get a lot of nice messages and it makes me so happy,” Ayae Yamamoto, Styles’ hairstylist, told PEOPLE in July 2023. “Every time they compliment Harry’s hair, it’s a compliment for me, and it makes me so happy, like, OK, I’m doing something right here. They’re such big fans and they know his hair so well, so I want to do right by them, because now I’m such a big Harry fan too.”

 

Brad Pitt

From a mullet to long blonde locks, there are not many hairstyles that Brad Pitt hasn’t tried. One of Pitt’s most popular styles was his buzzcut from 2004, a style he committed to for his role in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Another iconic hair moment came a few years earlier when Pitt and then-girlfriend Gwenyth Paltrow sported matching haircuts at the 1997 premiere of The Devil’s Own. In 2021, the actress revealed that while their blonde pixie cuts were not planned, they did work with the same hairstylist, Chris McMillan.

Over the last few years, Pitt has largely maintained short hairstyles. He’s frequently seen with a long, coiffed ‘do but is also a fan of a tousled, spiky look that is reminiscent of his cuts from the late ‘90s.

 

Keanu Reeves

Reeves has a healthy head of black hair that he wore in a floppy, mid-length style for much of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. In 1994, the actor debuted a buzzcut for his role in Speed. Reeves new ‘do reportedly shocked studio executives, who considered delaying filming so his hair could grow back.

For most of the early 2000s, the Matrix actor kept his hair short and tousled before he started growing it out. Reeves is now known for his signature shoulder-length locks with a center part that he rarely strays from.

 

The Weeknd

The Weeknd (né Abel Tesfaye) is known for his hits like “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” but early in his career, the singer was just as synonymous with his go-to hairstyle. He wore dreadlocks that were tied up to create a structured ‘do, which made him instantly recognizable. Speaking with W Magazine in May 2023, The Weeknd shared that the recognizability was part of the reason why he decided to chop his hair in late 2016.

“The hair became an obstacle for me!” he told the outlet. “I went from ‘No one knows who I am’ to ‘Nobody has that hair except The Weeknd.’ I was always trying to hide it. When I finally decided to cut it, everybody said, ‘Don’t do it!’ That gave me more reasons to do it. I was so identified with that hair that I had to cut it. I didn’t want to be known for just this or just that.”

After cutting his hair, The Weeknd has worn a new hairstyle for each of his album eras. With 2016’s Starboy, he rocked a pompadour style, while an afro and a handlebar mustache characterized his After Hours era in 2020.

 

Jason Momoa

It’s hard to believe there was a time when Jason Momoa didn’t have his trademark shoulder-length curly locks, but he has sported a few other styles throughout his career. After getting his start as a model in 2000, Momoa opted for a short, coiffed hairstyle. The Aquaman actor then experimented with shaggy curls and dreadlocks before settling on his signature look.

In 2022, Momoa shaved off his hair while visiting Hawaii. In an Instagram video he shared of his haircut, the Hawaii native toasted to “new beginnings” and revealed he was cutting his locks to raise awareness about the use of single plastics.

 

Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson has been praised for his “chameleon” acting style, which has prompted quite a few of his hair changes. During his Twilight days, the actor was known for his messy, gravity-defying locks. In 2014, Pattinson debuted a shaved head for his role in The Rover and later sported a blonde, floppy hairstyle while filming the 2020 science-fiction film Tenet.

Though his bold haircuts don’t last much longer than the time it takes to make a movie, Pattinson isn’t afraid to go there for a role. During his off time, the actor mainly stays true to a short, tousled ‘do, but he did embrace a more slicked-back hairstyle for the Batman press tour in 2022.

 

Justin Bieber

When it comes to iconic hairstyles, the Bieber swoop might take the cake. The singer released his debut single, “One Time,” in 2009, which, coupled with his long, sight-blocking locks, was a recipe for superstardom. Following the success of his first album, My World, Bieber chopped his hair before embarking on a new era of music.

“We’ve been talking about it over the last six months or so,” his hairstylist at the time, Vanessa Price, told PEOPLE in 2011. “Cutting your hair is just part of the evolution and growing process for anyone, and I think he was just ready.”

Since then, Bieber hasn’t been afraid to experiment with his hair, sporting everything from a short, swept-up ‘do to platinum blonde locks. However, the singer has recently kept to two hairstyles, a buzzcut and messy, mid-length locks.

Every time Target announces a new collaboration with a high end designer, it’s pretty much guaranteed pandemonium. Their early capsule lines with then-industry unknowns, who have since gone on to become bonafide fashion titans, like Proenza Schouler and Rodarte, were instant classics. The result is a look that’s fashionable, yet free-spirited and timeless.”

Beckham told People that her Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, “is the category within my brand that I was inspired to create when I was pregnant with Harper. With both the VVB line and Harper turning five this past year, it felt like the perfect time to celebrate both milestones.” She also confessed that she and Harper have already both worn a large swath of pieces from the collection, adding, “It has been a dream come true to design pieces that Harper can wear! I love every single piece of this collection! I’m probably most drawn to the soft tailored pieces, like the tuxedo shirt and calla lily shirt and pants. They’re just really easy to wear, but still feel luxurious and create a very pulled-together look.”

The line includes more than 200 pieces for women, girls, toddlers, and babies with prices ranging from $6 to $70 – a welcome relief on your wallet for those familiar with the usual price point of the former Spice Girl’s eponymous line – and with most pieces coming in under $40.

Brooklyn — who was recently linked to YouTube personality Lexy Panterra after splitting from girlfriend Chloë Grace Moretz — took after his father David Beckham as he showed off his plethora of tattoos.

Victoria later continued the bonding time with Brooklyn and son Cruz, 13, cuddling together on a coach. She captioned the cozy photo, “Night in with the boys x Kisses.”

The Beckhams have been spending lots of quality time with their four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, 15, Cruz, and Harper, 7 — this summer. Last week, the family shared photographs of their fun-filled beachside vacation, and earlier this month, the parents marked Harper’s birthday with sentimental social media posts.

The family time followed rumors of relationship problems between Victoria, 44, and David, 43, which surfaced last month. Their rep denied the reports, telling PEOPLE, “What nonsense. Journalist Chinese whispers and fake news fueled by social media. There is no impending statement, no divorce!”

At the Forbes Women’s Summit in June, Hello! reported that Victoria said she was focused on her relationship, explaining, “I am trying to be the best wife and the best professional. When I get home I try to put the phone down and spend time with the children and spend time with David.”

The star tapped husband David Beckham to direct one of her latest Victoria Beckham Beauty campaigns. On Thursday, Victoria, 47, teased the launch of the new Victoria Beckham Beauty Matte Bronzing Brick by giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the ads she shot with the help of her husband of 21 years.

“Okay so we are in Miami filming for Victoria Beckham Beauty. We’ve got the lovely [hairstylist] Ken [Paves] and my director for the day who is going to be filming me,” Victoria said as she snapped an Instagram video in the hotel room panning over the equipment David, 46, was manning.

The fashion and beauty mogul then showed the bathroom counter filled with beauty products for the shoot before going behind David’s camera to see the shot from his angle. “He’s good. He’s got my back. The director’s got my back!” Victoria said.

The Beckham boys seem to have quite a knack for photographing their partners. David and Victoria’s eldest son Brooklyn Beckham, 22, recently shot his fiancée Nicola Peltz for Vogue Germany.

Peltz, 26, posted a variety of photos taken for the issue in which she is seen modeling pieces from Victoria’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection. “Shot by my talented @brooklynbeckham for @voguegermany,” Peltz wrote in the caption.

Brooklyn also shared the snaps on his Instagram, writing, “Shooting my beautiful fiancé for @voguegermany in @victoriabeckham spring summer 2021 collection ❤️,” to which Peltz replied, “MY LOVE 😍.”

Brooklyn started pursuing photography as a teen and got a lot of practice in by shooting his famous family. “I love shooting [them] – of course it’s always going to be a much more intimate shot when you know your subject so well,” Beckham previously told PEOPLE in 2017. “I love taking photos of all of my family but Harper is really cute to photograph, and my brother Romeo because of his shaved head. Cruz is just cheeky, so it’s always fun to get a picture of him too.”

David Beckham is whipping his wife Victoria Beckham into shape!

On Monday, the former English pro footballer, 48, shared photos on his Instagram Story of a workout session with the pop star, 49.

In the first upload, David jokingly poked fun at his spouse for being exhausted from their morning routine.

“Not that my wife’s dramatic or anything but this is what happened this morning,” he wrote on a picture of Victoria stretched out on the floor, laying on her back next to a treadmill. The athlete also added an eye roll emoji and a GIF with the rotating sentence, “i wanna nap.”

“And the Oscar goes to…” she wrote on a photo of David sprawled across the floor on a yoga mat.

In early October, the Inter Miami president and co-owner went viral when a clip from his Netflix limited docuseries Beckham showed him calling Victoria out for claiming to have grown up in a “working class” family.

The viral moment from the series, which tracked David’s upbringing and career, came when the two discussed how they met.

While Victoria was being interviewed, the Spice Girls alum said she and David came from “very working class” backgrounds.

Though she was in the room alone with the camera crew, the former Manchester United player peaked his head into the room telling her to “be honest.”

“I am being honest,” she replied.

David, who seemed to know better, then asked her, “What car did your dad drive you to school in?”

After a bit of back and forth, Victoria said, “OK, in the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls Royce.”

“Thank you,” David said before his head disappeared from the room.

Fast forward to over 20 years later, they share four children together — sons Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12.

Victoria Beckham is celebrating the 49th birthday of her husband David Beckham!

On Thursday, May 2 the Spice Girls singer, 50, shared a couple of snaps of the former soccer star on her Instagram alongside a sweet tribute for his special day.

“Happy birthday David. I love us getting really old together!😂😂,” Victoria’s caption read. “You aren’t far behind me!!!! You are our everything!!!! The best daddy and husband we all love u so so much xxxxx @davidbeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven.”
