Former Haas F1 team principal, Guenther Steiner, is being sued by his ex-employer for alleged trademark infringement.

The team’s title sponsor, Haas Automation, filed a lawsuit against Steiner, along with the publisher of his 2023 book, Ten Speed Press, earlier this month.

Documents obtained by Mail Sport reveal the company, which is owned by Gene Haas, lodged a complaint in the Central District of California court on May 3, just a few days after Steiner filed his own lawsuit against Haas Formula, LLC over alleged unpaid commissions and unauthorized use of his likeness.

Haas Automation claims that ‘in 2023, without permission or consent from Haas Automation, Steiner authored, marketed, promoted, sold, distributed, and profited from a publication titled “Surviving to Drive,” which unlawfully used and displayed, and continues to use and display, the Haas Automation Trademarks and the Haas Automation Trade Dress for Steiner’s personal financial gain and illicit profit.’

Elsewhere in the filing, the company claimed to have contacted Steiner before filing the suit, but the fan-favorite motorsport personality ‘has taken no action to cease or mitigate his infringing acts, necessitating the instant lawsuit.’

Haas Automation’s lawyers estimate that Steiner’s book, Surviving to Drive, has raked in at least $4.5m in revenue from the sale of more than 150,000 copies.

The company also alleges that Ten Speed Press never sought or obtained permission to use ‘any of the Haas Automation Trademarks or the Haas Automation Trade Dress.’

Multiple pages of the lawsuit are dedicated to highlighting imagery within the book that features the Haas logo, including the front and back covers.

The company is seeking damages and asked the court for a trial by jury.

The lawsuit was filed a few days after news emerged that Steiner was taking the company to court in North Carolina.

He claims that Haas not only owes him commissions, but has continued to sell merchandise featuring his likeness without proper compensation despite parting ways with the team during the offseason.

The Drive to Survive breakout star served as Haas’ team principal from 2014, until the two parties mutually decided not to renew his contract at the beginning of the year.

In the months since, he has continued to be a visible figure in the paddock, serving as a Miami Grand Prix ambassador and working as a broadcaster for German channel RTL and Australia’s Network 10.

Piers Morgan has taken a savage swipe at ex-songstress Victoria Beckham, reposting a TikTok video of the fashion designer taking to the mic for a karaoke rendition of Spice Girls classic Say You’ll Be There.

Victoria had been celebrating the triumph of husband David Beckham’s football team Inter Miami after a big win on Sunday, courtesy of top player Lionel Messi.

She embraced her husband warmly while singing the lyrics to the 1996 Spice Girls hit Say You’ll Be There, but 17 years on from its release, Piers felt that her vocals failed to impress.

“This may explain why Victoria Beckham isn’t taking part in any Spice Girls reunions…” Piers told his 8.5 million followers as he attached a clip of a delighted Victoria shimmying around.

However, Victoria herself insisted on TikTok: “Warming up the vocals in Miami! More to come.”

As the unexpected vocal rendition sent the internet into meltdown, some fans begged for a Spice Girls reunion, saying it couldn’t come soon enough for them.

Yet @duchessofnewam joked: “GoldenBalls could probably sing it better…”

@MarcoThomas1 defended Victoria, quizzing: “Why do you have to be so hateful as you’ve got older Piers? You’re just turning really unpleasant, not funny, just quite nasty.”

@shionabattersby added that Piers was “too harsh” as the star formerly known as Posh Spice was simply “letting her hair down”.

Victoria might have disagreed with that description of herself when she took to TikTok to let fans know: “No really, I did not drink that much.”

She added that the performance was “just a casual night out in Miami”, following an electrifying win that was witnessed by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams and LeBron James.

David and Victoria Beckham’s plans for their Cotswolds property have come under fire once again in a lengthy objection from a neighbour.

David and Victoria Beckham have received another objection to their plans to convert a barn on their Cotswolds property, with a neighbour saying “enough is enough”.

The couple have undertaken extensive work on the home, and they lodged another planning application for the estate on August 2, seeking permission to convert their barn roof space into a home office.

However, a neighbour has written a lengthy objection which supports a previous complaint, which had claimed the couple were using a “back door” way of turning the barn into a residential space.

James E Worthington supplied several pages of planning documents to support his complaint, which has been seen by Express.co.uk.

He claims that there were previous complaints about the construction of the barn, as locals suspected that ultimately their intention would be to change the use of the building.

“There were a number of people who objected to the increase of the residential curtilage at the time and were completely ignored by the Council,” he wrote.

“Those who objected indicated it would not be long before a number of other buildings appeared on the area in which the applicants wanted to increase to residential use by first putting up a simple barn.

“Having established this footprint who would stop them increasing the building further and before long a property used for residential use.”

The incredibly detailed objection spans four pages and says that the council were warned and are now “blindsided.”

“Many people locally indicated to West Oxfordshire Council the increase in the residential curtilage of this property will see an ever-increasing number of buildings and to date we have all been proved right.

“The only people who appear to be blindsided are the Council,” he says.

Laying it out plainly he says: “This building has gone from a simple wood barn for machinery with log store to having the height, width and length increased, for what so those who will be attending evenings ‘in the greenhouse and cooking area’ can stay.

“Why would the applicants want 3 offices with a bathroom and with an area on the ground floor which sooner or later will be converted again in another planning application,” he queries.

“Many locally have said enough is enough and its about time the planners indicated this to the applicants,” he says.

Mr Worthington also objected to the couple’s earlier planning application to build an access road for the duration of the construction.

They had applied to use an existing farm track as a temporary construction access track but the couple recently withdrew this, and Mr Worthington feels that this was a wise decision.

“I note the applicants have withdrawn this application which was very wise of them,” he writes.

That application drew several complaints including one from a man called Nicholas Smith, who objected to the application in documents seen by Express.co.uk, claiming that the track they wished to use is a “public right of way”.

The complainant, who listed a London address with their objection, stated: “West Oxfordshire District Council should have not (sic) investigated this application more, if they had they would have discovered it is a public right of way and listed as a “footpath” with Oxfordshire County Council.”

Express.co.uk contacted representatives for David and Victoria Beckham who declined to comment.

The woman whom David was accused of having an affair with is not named in the four-part documentary, but headlines from the time are shown with one reading: “Sex with Becks.”

David also becomes emotional when recalling the tough time in their marriage and says: “There were some horrible stories which were difficult to deal with.

“It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage.”

When asked how they survived, David explained that they felt like they were not “losing each other” but still felt they were “drowning” as more headlines were made.

“It’s our private life. There were some days I thought, ‘How am I going to go to work? How am I going to go on that training pitch and look as if nothing is wrong?’ I felt physically sick every day when I opened my eyes. How am I going to do this?”

In the new four-part Netflix documentary, the fashion designer opens up about her husband’s alleged infidelity, which took place while he was playing for Real Madrid.

THEY are one of my favourite Nineties bands and after Take That frontman Gary Barlow admitted the group were planning a Las Vegas residency, I am pleased to report it’s been given the green light in Sin City.

Michael Gruber, the man behind Kylie Minogue and Christina Aguilera’s residencies at the Voltaire nightclub at the Venetian Hotel, is backing the Everything Changes singers to put on a show.

Michael said in an exclusive chat with Bizarre: “I love Take That. I absolutely want them to perform at Voltaire. It is perfect for them.”

He went on to reveal that he had previously been locked in talks with Take That, which also includes Mark Owen and Howard Donald, but said they couldn’t get it over the line.

He added: “We thought we would have a show but it didn’t work out in the end.”

Gary admitted in December that the trio, whose comeback record This Life went straight to the No1 spot last month, were keen to put on a show in Vegas.

I will be catching up with the band to get an update on the plans later this year, when they kick off their tour in Sheffield on April 13.

BECAUSE our soft and crumbling justice system means people hardly ever serve a full sentence behind bars, the morally decrepit Stephen Bear will be swaggering out of HMP Chelmsford in the next few days.

But first for a bit of good news.

I have been told his trusted way of making quick cash has been cut off at source, after OnlyFans vowed to ban him from their platform.

Before he went down, Celebrity Big Brother contestant Stephen had been cashing in with grim videos of himself on OnlyFans, which weirdly people paid to watch.

I’d rather douche my eyes with vinegar.

I’m told OnlyFans made the decision after Love Island’s Georgia Harrison bravely worked with police last year to nail him for revenge porn, after finding out he had secretly recorded them together and posted it on the subscription site.

An industry source said: “If Stephen thinks he’s walking out on to Easy Street, he’ll get a shock when he tries to reactivate his OnlyFans account.

“OnlyFans worked with the police at the time and Stephen had to pay back the money he made from it.

“They won’t allow members on the platform who have made a serious breach of the rules.

“So if he thought he’d be coming out and logging back on to try and make some money, it won’t be happening.

“Stephen made shedloads of cash from them before he was jailed, so he’s lost the only lifeline he had.”

I have no doubt in my mind that reactivating his account is exactly what Stephen had in mind for the first week of his release.

And I sincerely hope OnlyFans stick to their word.

There is only one place for Stephen to go now, and that’s the gutter.

WEDNESDAY: THE nominees for the EE Bafta Rising Star award will be announced at an event in central London, pinpointing the most promising talent in cinema for the next 12 months.

James MCavoy, Tom Hardy, Kristen Stewart and Tom Holland have won the title before, so there will be high expectations on the shoulders of those who are shortlisted ahead of next month’s awards.

FRIDAY: LIL Nas X will return with the first single from his second album, which is bound to cause a stir.

The song, called J Christ, could even have a surprise guest, as he tweeted: “My new song features a very beloved pop star who I’ve been a fan of for a long time.”

Only time will tell if he is actually referring to himself.

FRIDAY: KANYE West and Ty Dolla $ign are due to release their album Vultures after three months of delays.

If this actually does materialise, it’s likely to feature a track called Everybody, sampling Backstreet Boys’ song of the same name, which Kanye previewed last month.

He’s still got a long way to go to redeem himself after his antics of late.

SUNDAY: THE great and the good of Hollywood descend on LA for the Critics’ Choice Awards following last night’s Golden Globes.

Barbie looks set to dominate with 18 nominations, followed by Oppenheimer and Poor Things with 13 each.

Margot Robbie, you’ve got my vote.

Victoria and her husband David have recently lifted the lid on their private lives in a new Netflix documentary.

The four-part Netflix series, which was released on October 4, teases a rare insight into who David Beckham actually was before he experienced football stardom.

At the annual fashion gala in New York City on May 6, Brooklyn, 25, attended without Nicola, 29, as she continues to spend quality time with her grandmother.

The dress code for this year’s star-studded event is “The Garden of Time.” The accompanying Costume Institute exhibit, titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” showcases approximately 250 items spanning more than 400 years of fashion history — from an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth ballgown to modern-day pieces from the likes of Phillip Lim and Stella McCartney.

Nicola took Brooklyn to his very first Met Gala in 2021, nearly a year after they announced their engagement. The model and actress wore a bright pink Valentino gown and pale pink opera gloves, while Brooklyn — who is the oldest son of Victoria and David Beckham — opted for a classic black tux.

Only weeks after their lavish Palm Beach, Fla., wedding, the pair stepped out together to the 2022 Met Gala, both in Valentino looks. Nicola once again chose a vibrant pink gown, featuring cape-style sleeves and a plunging neckline, and paired it with vampy platform shoes.

All About the 2024 Met Gala, from the Co-Chairs to the Theme

Brooklyn wore a cream suit with a sheer, open-collared shirt and white sneakers. He told Vogue at the time that he wanted to push the envelope for fashion’s biggest night.

“Usually, I just go very simple and wear black suits, but this year, I wanted to add a little bit more,” he said. “When I saw that sheer shirt for the first time, though, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, can I pull this off?’ But it was so comfortable.”

“It’s definitely one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever worn,” he added.

At the 2023 gala, the couple channeled the theme of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” by wearing the late French designer’s signature colors, black and white. They once again went with Valentino — a white strapless ruched gown with a black bow at the waist for Nicola, and an all-black suit and a sheer shirt for Brooklyn. They both accessorized with a collection of statement necklaces.

Though the two always appear perfectly in sync when it comes to their style, Nicola told PEOPLE last month that the couple’s fashion tastes are often at odds. “I feel like Brooklyn’s favorite is a white T-shirt and jeans,” Nicola said of her husband’s preference for more casual looks.

Nicola said there will be times when she’ll get all dolled up for a party or an event, only to discover that Brooklyn had a decidedly different idea about the dress code for the evening.

“And then he comes out of the closet and I’m like, ‘Well, you’re sweatshirt vibes tonight. I did not get the memo, but we’re too late now, we have to leave,’ ” she joked of their mismatched looks.

While Brooklyn may not share his wife’s passion for fashion, his mother certainly does. Nicola has spoken in the past about how she and mother-in-law Victoria Beckham bond over style, and she recently told PEOPLE she can’t help but covet the designer’s enviable wardrobe.

“Anytime I get in that closet I’m like, ‘Please!’ ” she said. “It’s like heaven in there.”

David Beckham was just as surprised about the Spice Girls reuniting as everyone else.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, May 8, the soccer star, 49, opened up about the girl group — consisting of Melanie “Mel B” Brown, Melanie “Mel C” Chisolm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell Horner and Victoria Beckham — reuniting at Victoria’s 50th birthday last month.

David spedified that he actually put his wife’s birthday celebration together before host Jimmy Kimmel asked how long it had been since the Spice Girls sang together.

“It’s actually been 12 years since they did the Olympics in the U.K. but over 15 years since they actually were on a stage together. So obviously having them all there that night, and I didn’t expect them to all get up on stage,” he said of the event.

David continued: “But I had a whole video planned where me and my kids recreated the ‘Mama’ video. My son, who plays the guitar and sings, had a song, and he sang ‘Mama,’ and all of a sudden all the girls got up — and I’m their biggest fan, you know? I tend not to tell my wife that. I tend to tell her that I fancied her, but she was a Spice Girl. I love that about her… So I was a fan.”

On Saturday, April 20, the fashion designer marked her milestone birthday with a star-studded bash in London.

Following the festivities, her son Cruz Beckham gave fans a glimpse at his mother’s band teaming up again at the get-together to sing their 1996 hit “Mama” while he played the acoustic guitar.

“You’re welcome….” he captioned the Instagram post.

“Are we in tune? I’m not sure we are!” Mel B told the audience, while guests cheered.

Later in the evening, the Spice Girls danced along to their 1997 single “Stop,” as seen in a clip shot by David and shared by Victoria on Instagram.

“Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife,” she captioned the video.

“I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner 💚💛🧡💜💙🩵🩷🤍,” David wrote alongside the same clip.

Since their split in 2001, the Spice Girls have remained friends and reunited for a reunion tour in 2019, without Victoria.
