Lando Norris’ model girlfriend keeps quiet over his Miami Grand Prix F1 win… as ex-partner of former Chelsea star Joao Felix appears keen to keep their new relationship under wraps

Lando Norris‘ model girlfriend has not acknowledged his first Formula One victory on social media, as she appears to remain quiet on their relationship.

The McLaren star – who had held the record for most podiums without a race win – ended his barren run by beating triple world champion Max Verstappen to victory at the Miami Grand Prix on Sunday.

Norris has been spotted alongside the ex-girlfriend of Barcelona footballer Joao Felix, Portuguese model and actress Margarida Corceiro over the past year.

The pair were recently spotted at the Monte-Carlo Masters final amid her split from Felix last year. They were first spotted together last May in a video on social media showing the 24-year-old driving his Fiat Jolly with her in the back of the classic car.

A year on from that video, Corceiro remained silent about Norris’ victory on social media, appearing to suggest that she is keeping their relationship private.

Her last social media post came hours before his victory in the United States, as she acknowledged Mother’s Day in Portugal.

Neither Norris or Corceiro have posted photos of each other on social media, despite being seen together in public.

She was believed to have been in attendance for the Miami Grand Prix, but was reportedly seen in attendance at last month’s race in China.

They were also also reportedly recently spotted together at Vigo Airport in Spain, as per Portuguese publication Correio da Manha.

Corceiro has appeared on a number of Portuguese television shows and as per Portuguese outlet Maria, was a contestant in the country’s version of Dancing with the Stars back in 2020.

Norris previously dated Luisinha Oliveira, with the McLaren driver beginning a relationship with the Portuguese model at the start of 2022.

The relationship ended in September that year, with Norris confirming the split on social media.

He wrote: ‘Hello everyone. After time and consideration, Luisa and myself have mutually decided to end our relationship but remain good friends.

‘I wish her the world and have so much respect for her and all she does as an amazing and strong woman with nothing but kindness.

‘Please respect our decision and respect our – but more importantly and especially her privacy moving forward. Thank you for your endless support.’

Corceiro meanwhile dated Felix between 2019 and 2023. Despite their split, she insisted that they were still in each other’s lives.

She took to her social media platforms to confirm the end of their relationship last year, writing: ‘Joao and I achieved goals together for a few years, in a phase of change, growth and learning. Not having been together as a couple for some time, I am lucky enough to be a part of his life.’

Red Bull endured a nightmare safety car restart that gave British ace Norris a chance to overtake Verstappen and race ahead, sparking wild celebrations among McLaren’s ranks and the friends and supporters of the 24-year-old.

Bristol-born Norris becomes the first McLaren driver to win a race for the British F1 team since Australian, Daniel Ricciardo, did so at the Italian Grand Prix in 2021.

Donald Trump was in the McLaren garage during the race on Sunday and congratulated Norris after the race.

‘He saw me after and he came up to congratulate me so I guess it’s an honor,’ Norris told Mail Sport.

Lando Norris gives X-rated interview live on television after claiming his maiden Formula One victory in Miami… and insists it’s ‘about time’ after waiting 110 races for his first win

Lando Norris failed to contain his excitement during an X-rated interview after taking his first Formula One race win at the Miami Grand Prix.

The McLaren driver jumped ahead of Max Verstappen after pitting under the safety car, to beat the dominant Dutchman by 7.6 seconds on Sunday.

It was his first victory at the 110th time of asking, with only eight drivers across the sport’s 74-year history waiting longer for their maiden win.

Norris’ boyhood dream became a reality and he was clearly overjoyed with his success during a post-race interview with Jenson Button live on television.

Asked by 2009 world champion Button for his feelings, Norris responded: ‘Oh, about time, huh? F***.’

The 24-year-old quickly apologised before continuing: ‘What a race. It’s been a long time coming but finally I’ve managed to do it.

‘I’m so happy for my whole team that I finally delivered for them and yeah, a long day, tough race, but I’m finally on top, so I’m over the moon.’

It’s been a long-time coming for the McLaren star who has come agonosingly close on several occasions over recent years to finishing on the top step of the podium.

In 2021, he finished behind former team-mate Daniel Ricciardo to finish second at the Italian Grand Prix.

The same year he looked destined to win in Russia, only to make the wrong tyre call during a late-race shower as he slid off the track and handed the victory to Lewis Hamilton.

Last year he had five second-place finishes and saw his team-mate Oscar Piastri take a sprint race victory in Qatar.

His long run without a victory saw some Formula One fans tease him with the moniker ‘Lando no wins’ on social media.

He added after the race: ‘I never lost faith, I never didn’t believe in what I could go out and do.

The list of drivers who have waited longer for their first win includes Sergio Perez who holds the record on 190, Carlos Sainz, Mark Webber, Rubens Barrichello, Jarno Trulli, Button, Nico Rosberg and Giancarlo Fisichella.

The victory puts him fifth in the championship, 56 points off runaway leader Verstappen.

Max Verstappen’s hilarious summary of his Miami GP defeat stuns race winner Lando Norris as the Red Bull world champion finishes second behind McLaren star

Max Verstappen left his fellow drivers and Formula One fans in stitches of laughter after giving a hilarious response following Sunday’s Miami Grand Prix defeat.

The reigning Red Bull world champion had to settle for second in America as McLaren’s Lando Norris clinched a first GP victory during an eventful race that also saw Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finish third.

There were more muted celebrations than Red Bull have become used to as the sport’s dominant garage had to settle for second on the podium, but Verstappen was still in good spirits as he entered the post-race press conference.

Fresh from spraying his close-friend, Norris, with champagne follow the race at the Miami International Autodrome, Verstappen was asked for his verdict on how his McLaren rival had won.

Norris used a late safety car to his advantage as Verstappen pitted under the safety car, to beat the dominant Dutchman by 7.6 seconds on Sunday.

When asked whether the result would have been different if the safety car hadn’t been brought out, Verstappen bluntly replied: ‘ It’s always if, if, if, if my mum had b***s, she’d be my dad.’

The unusual response momentarily stunned Norris and Leclerc along with members of the congregated press before fits of laughter could be heard breaking out around the room.

‘I mean that’s how it goes in racing, some time it works, sometimes it doesn’t,’ Verstappen briefly continued as he offered a deeper explanation to the original question.

Despite finishing second, the result does little in terms of changing Verstappen’s place at the top of the ongoing drivers championship standings where he holds a 33-point lead over Red Bull colleague Sergio Perez.

Norris – who arrived in Miami sporting a gruesome facial injury following an accident while partying in Amsterdam in the build-up to the race weekend – was able to offer a lengthier response when asked about his victory.

He said: ‘I don’t know what I’m feeling! I’m just happy, proud. It feels like it’s been a long time coming. I feel like we’ve had many opportunities. We’ve been getting closer and closer.

‘We’ve never been able to put it all together and today was that day. We’ve been good all weekend. As much as we had some setbacks – Friday Qualifying, the Sprint, not the best Qualifying on Saturday, I stayed positive. And that’s rare!

‘It all just came together. We were quick all day. I had a good strategy, a good plan. I stayed out of the way of trouble in Turn One because it was very close. I just focused on our race and we were quick.

‘Of course, we got a bit lucky with the Safety Car. But even after, the pace was the best on track by quite a long way. I have to say thanks to the team. Without this, it wouldn’t be possible,’ he added.

Ever wondered what it’s like speeding around a Formula 1 track at 146 miles per hour? Mail Sport got the Kendall Jenner treatment during a hot lap at the Miami Grand Prix

If you’ve ever met a Formula 1 skeptic, chances are you’ve heard them say something to the effect of, ‘I could do that.’

Throughout my years dragging friends to reluctantly watch F1 races at our local sports bar, someone inevitably always chimes in, ‘I don’t get what’s so special about driving a car in a circle.’

If only I could take them for a flying lap of the Miami International Autodrome – which is exactly what I did, in a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.

For an eye-watering $15,000, cashed-up motorsport fans (and a few lucky journalists) can get as close as humanly possible to understanding what makes drivers like Max Verstappen and Lando Norris so special.

Of course, one of the biggest differences between Formula 1 and almost every other sport is that the experience in the cockpit of an F1 car is entirely unrelatable to people like you or I.

Chances are you’ve kicked a soccer ball around at the park, played beach volleyball in the summer, or spent time on the football field in a little league.

But very few of us have had to navigate an ultra-complex steering wheel or battle up to 5G of force while behind the wheel of a car.

Just last year, I sped around the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a two-seater IndyCar, reaching speeds up to 180 miles per hour.

Mies assured me that the 500-horsepower, five-liter V8 would be a tad slower, and I felt at ease – if only for a moment.

The 19-turn track at Hard Rock Stadium, which hosted its first F1 race in 2022 thanks to a reported $60 million cash injection from billionaire Dolphins owner, Stephen Ross, has a top speed of 214 miles per hour.

As we rounded turn four, passing the entrance to the NFL stadium, it quickly became apparent that this track was not for the faint of heart.

We hit traffic on turn seven – in the form of an Aston Martin DBX707, and Mies gave me a taste of what Norris likely felt on Sunday as he overtook the field to take the lead of the race (later scoring his maiden victory).

We sped down the straights between turn eight and 11, hitting 146 miles per hour before Mies slammed on the breaks into a sharp left-hander.

The highlight of the circuit, however, was the rise up to the chicane at turn 15, where I went flying as Mies expertly navigated the corners.

It was also the exact spot where Verstappen memorably took out a pole during Sunday’s race.

‘I didn’t like it so I decided to take it out and test the durability of the front wing,’ the Red Bull ace joked to Mail Sport. ‘That’s a crash test done,’ he added.

Mercedes’ George Russell drove British hitmaker Ed Sheeran around the track. ‘That was really f***ed up,’ the ‘Castle on the Hill’ singer joked to Russell after getting out of the car.

Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner begged Lewis Hamilton to slow down when she jumped in the passenger seat of a $136,000 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT.

‘Oh my god. Holy s***t’, I’m gonna cry,’ she shrieked.

‘I literally hate you,’ the reality star told the seven-time world champion.

Whether you loved the experience or hated it (looking at you, Kendall), there’s no denying the Pirelli Hot Lap really is as close as it gets to an F1 cockpit.

F1 team sponsor Haas SUES Guenther Steiner over alleged trademark infringement in his $4.5m book… just days after ex-team principal filed his own lawsuit

Former Haas F1 team principal, Guenther Steiner, is being sued by his ex-employer for alleged trademark infringement.

The team’s title sponsor, Haas Automation, filed a lawsuit against Steiner, along with the publisher of his 2023 book, Ten Speed Press, earlier this month.

Documents obtained by Mail Sport reveal the company, which is owned by Gene Haas, lodged a complaint in the Central District of California court on May 3, just a few days after Steiner filed his own lawsuit against Haas Formula, LLC over alleged unpaid commissions and unauthorized use of his likeness.

Haas Automation claims that ‘in 2023, without permission or consent from Haas Automation, Steiner authored, marketed, promoted, sold, distributed, and profited from a publication titled “Surviving to Drive,” which unlawfully used and displayed, and continues to use and display, the Haas Automation Trademarks and the Haas Automation Trade Dress for Steiner’s personal financial gain and illicit profit.’

Elsewhere in the filing, the company claimed to have contacted Steiner before filing the suit, but the fan-favorite motorsport personality ‘has taken no action to cease or mitigate his infringing acts, necessitating the instant lawsuit.’

Haas Automation’s lawyers estimate that Steiner’s book, Surviving to Drive, has raked in at least $4.5m in revenue from the sale of more than 150,000 copies.

The company also alleges that Ten Speed Press never sought or obtained permission to use ‘any of the Haas Automation Trademarks or the Haas Automation Trade Dress.’

Multiple pages of the lawsuit are dedicated to highlighting imagery within the book that features the Haas logo, including the front and back covers.

The company is seeking damages and asked the court for a trial by jury.

The lawsuit was filed a few days after news emerged that Steiner was taking the company to court in North Carolina.

He claims that Haas not only owes him commissions, but has continued to sell merchandise featuring his likeness without proper compensation despite parting ways with the team during the offseason.

The Drive to Survive breakout star served as Haas’ team principal from 2014, until the two parties mutually decided not to renew his contract at the beginning of the year.

In the months since, he has continued to be a visible figure in the paddock, serving as a Miami Grand Prix ambassador and working as a broadcaster for German channel RTL and Australia’s Network 10.

  • David Beckham ‘sparks row with Netflix documentary director’ over Victoria’s confession

David Beckham ‘sparks row with Netflix documentary director’ over Victoria’s confession

David Beckham has confessed he sparked an argument with the director of his Netflix documentary when he interrupted an interview with his wife.

The 49-year-old former footballer and his 50-year-old wife, Victoria Beckham.

Starred in a critically panned documentary series about their gilded lives that was streamed via Netflix last October.

The four-part docuseries saw cameras enter the home of the fame-hungry family – who are said to be worth more than £340 million.

A ‘viral’ moment was born when Victoria sat on her luxury sofa to describe her working class upbringing.

Only for Dave to interrupt from the side of the room to demand she “be honest” about her upbringing.

The Spice Girl was then shamed into confessing her father drove her to school in a Rolls Royce – suggesting her childhood had been far from ‘working class’.

But now David has revealed that his intervention sparked a furious exchange with documentary director Fisher Stevens.

He explained that the camera team and crew believed David had left the propriety so they could film with Victoria – only for him to eavesdrop on their conversation from the kitchen.

OK! Magazine claims The Hollywood Reporter recorded a round table discussion with David, Fisher.

Documentary producer Josh Battsek and editor Michael Harte to reflect on their time putting the series together. David then reportedly explained that he had been in the kitchen when Victoria started discussing her humble upbringing.

He is reported as saying: “I put the set headphones on and all of a sudden I heard my wife go, ‘Well, we’re down to earth’. And I was like, ‘No, no, no’. As soon as I heard her say ‘We’re working class’, I stuck my head in and I was like, ‘Be honest’.” He then claimed that Fisher was “very angry with me over that” at the time.

The director himself is then quoted defending his irritation, explaining: “David was supposedly out and she could be free to say what she wants. And then he showed up and I was quite upset. I was like, ‘Get him out of here’ – but it actually turned out to be brilliant. It worked out. Thank God the cameraman caught David, and then Michael, I did say ‘I think we have some gold’.”

While the Beckham documentary series was enjoyed by some fans and spawned some meme-worthy moments, it has been roundly slammed as a soulless and shallow TV experiment. Deadline slammed the show – as well as other recent celebrity fronted docu-sereies – writing: “These examples support the argument that such documentaries are nothing more than sanitised PR exercises for the celebrities involved, who invariably also appear in the credits as ‘executive producer’.”

And The Mirror’s own review accused the show of “whitewashing” the named “Rebecca Loos out of the story”, observed: “I would be amazed if one single shot or anecdote has made the cut here that the Beckhams did not want you to see or hear” – and branded the show as nothing more than “marketing guff”.

  • Are the Beckhams ‘abandoned’ in Meghan and Harry’s friendship with Michael Buble as rumored?

Are the Beckhams ‘abandoned’ in Meghan and Harry’s friendship with Michael Buble as rumored?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have struck up an unlikely friendship with Michael Buble after the royal couple ditched David and Victoria Beckham.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in Canada for a whirlwind three-day tour of Vancouver and Whistler for the One Year To Go celebrations ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games.

And on Friday, they hit the ice to try out a winter sport that will be included in the games for the first time.

Harry and Meghan were joined by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato at the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver as they tried out wheelchair curling.

The 39-year-old prince attempted the tricky sport alongside the Feeling Good hitmaker, and he was cheered on by the singer.

As well as Canadian Armed Forces veterans and former Invictus Games competitors.

At one point, Michael shouted, “Oh no!” as Harry missed another vital shot, while Meghan watched her husband on the sidelines alongside Luisana.

Their unlikely friendship began in 2015, when the Duchess of Sussex first met Michael at a dinner party hosted by her best friend Jessica Mulroney.

The singer is close friends with Jessica’s husband Ben, who is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and Meghan attended the dinner party while filming Suits in Vancouver. She recalled meeting Michael in a post on her now-defunct website The Tig, and called the singer a “delightful guy”.

“This proud papa, husband to the lovely Luisana Lopilato, and certifiably delightful guy, makes for one hell of a dinner companion. But there’s this other thing about him that is perhaps worth mentioning. Oh right. He sings,” she wrote.

The couple’s friendship with Michael and his wife comes after it emerged David and Victoria Beckham have effectively ended their friendship with the Sussexes over a row about leaking stories to the press. According to the Mail on Sunday, the former England and Manchester United footballer is “absolutely furious” after it was suggested that he and wife Victoria had leaked stories about Meghan and Harry.

David and Harry struck up a close friendship when the former sportsman became an official Invictus Games ambassador, and the Beckhams were one of the many celebrity guests at Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018. Sources revealed that their friendship is now over after Meghan reportedly became concerned about “indiscretion” from the ex-Spice Girl, and accusations were thrown during a heated phone call between David and Harry.

David Beckham faces criticism when talking about growing up ‘in an era where mental health is not talked about’

David Beckham is sharing how much he’s learned about mental health over the years.

“I grew up in an era where, you know, mental health wasn’t really talked about,” the now-retired soccer star, 49.

Said at a Los Angeles screening for the second episode of his new Netflix documentary series, Beckham.

“And that I suppose is the one thing I take from this documentary is how important mental health is.

A particular pain point for Beckham was revisiting his 1998 World Cup loss.

But he said discussing it in his documentary “made me get over certain things and feel better about certain things that have happened, you know.

Whether it was leaving Manchester United or getting sent off in ‘98 or, you know, some of the other things that happened throughout my career. It did make me feel better.”

He explained how the mental health landscape used to be different. “Twenty years ago, people wasn’t talking about or asking, ‘Are you okay?’ Or ‘How do you feel?’”

He continued, “Now, thankfully, people are talking about it. So that’s the one [thing] that I can take from being able to talk about this. On the therapy side, you know, being able to talk about some of the things for the first time, was therapy for me. And I wouldn’t say it gave me closure because I still feel pain from the most moments. But it made me feel better about those moments.”

He added that the documentary impacted his mother as well, sharing that, “she came up to me, she said, ‘You don’t have to feel bad.’ And that, obviously, made me emotional as well.”

Beckham shared that when he got a “very rough cut” of the first two episodes, he and his wife of nearly 25 years, Victoria Beckham, “watched it on an iPad in bed, no frills.”

“We laughed. We cried. And at the end of those two hours,” Beckham said, “We’re exhausted.”

“What we’ve done in those last 20 years,” he said, reflecting. “It was just like an emotional journey.”

But, it wasn’t only about healing old wounds, Beckham said, adding that the documentary scored him some points with his youngest son, Cruz, who, after watching the series, said, “‘Dad, I didn’t realize you were really good?’”

The jaw-dropping look turned heads and perfectly met the Garden of Time theme for the evening, which honored the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s latest exhibit.

It highlighted rare and archival fashion, some of which has become so fragile it can no longer be worn.

Never one to shy down from a challenge, the rising designer was determined to work with archival lace for the Netflix star’s gown.

And revealed the tough painstaking process she had to go through to bring it all together.

Lifting the lid on the creation of Phoebe’s gown, the mother-of-four took to Instagram with some behind-the-scenes clips on Tuesday night, writing in the caption: “The ethereal silhouette was hand-crafted from archival lace, and embellished with over 300 lace appliqué flowers, hand-cut and hand-sewn onto a tulle base.”

The custom gown was evidently “fragile and delicate” but the designer was determined to bring in some stark lines in the silhouette in order to truly reflect the actress.

Victoria gushed over Phoebe dubbing her: “A classic English rose and a fearless actress with immense strength of character.”

Phoebe’s custom gown is the first fully custom Victoria Beckham item at the Met Gala and the Posh Spice star explained to Vogue that she wanted the dress to “be almost like an extension” of Phoebe herself.

Phoebe gently accessorised the look with some delicate silver jewellery and a light pink manicure.

David Beckham had a controversial reaction when he had a strange reaction to Harry Kane’s statement

The striker, who is world-class in his own right, has played with stars such as Jude Bellingham and Wayne Rooney for England.

At club level with Bayern Munich and Tottenham respectively, Jamal Musiala and Heung-min Son have been teammates of his too.

Countless other talents have also shared the pitch with him but, if the 30-year-old had the choice, it’s Beckham he’d love to star with.

Speaking to ITV Sport ahead of Bayern’s Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid, which is live on talkSPORT, he was tasked with answering a series of questions.

One saw Kane being asked if he could play with any other player from any era who would he go for, and he replied: “I think David Beckham.

“I was a big David Beckham fan, [the crosses] that’s what I mean, as a striker to play with Beckham must have been top draw.”

Had such a partnership ever come to fruition, then England fans could have been treated to potentially the greatest ever football duo.

Beckham is regarded as one of the best crossers and passers of the ball in the history of the game, assisting 267 goals in 724 appearances throughout his career.

Couple this with the 402 goals Kane has netted so far, then it’s a partnership that would undoubtedly cause nightmares for defences.

However, Beckham called time on his glittering career – one that saw him win six Premier League titles and the Champions League with Manchester United, as well as a LaLiga title with Real Madrid and a Ligue 1 crown with Paris Saint-Germain – in 2013.

This came just before Kane’s breakthrough season at Spurs, with the 30-year-old now regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

Although Bayern have been underwhelming overall, the England captain has enjoyed an excellent debut season on a personal level in what has been his first campaign outside of his homeland.

Kane has scored 44 goals in as many appearances across all competitions for the German giants, assisting a further 11.

Bayern missed out on the Bundesliga title but Champions League glory is still up for grabs, which would see their star striker win the first major trophy of his career.

Had Kane been able to play with Beckham, though, there’s little doubt that he’d have accumulated many honours by now.
