Tom Aspinall blasts Jon Jones for ‘holding s*** up’ in the heavyweight division… as the UFC’s interim champion insists ‘it’s time to get a bit of payback’ against Curtis Blaydes

Tom Aspinall has hit out at those claiming he is responsible for a perceived lack of movement in the heavyweight division, claiming one of his rivals is ‘holding s*** up’.

Aspinall is the current interim UFC heavyweight champion after beating Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295, with reigning champion proper Jon Jones not having fought since March 2023.

Jones defeated Ciryl Gane for the then-vacant title, before suffer a pair of injuries that have kept him out of action, though he has since returned to the gym.

Fans would therefore understandably be looking forward to a huge clash between Aspinall and Jones, however it is though that Bones is eyeing a date in the Octagon with former champion Stipe Miocic.

With Aspinall seemingly not yet in line to take on Jones for the chance to turn his interim supremacy into an official title, some have claimed that the British fighter is responsible for holding up a potential crossing of paths.

‘That’s not me, that’s someone else at the top of the division,’ Aspinall said on his YouTube channel.

‘It’s not me. I’m here to fight people. [I] love this stuff, this is what I was born to do, this is what I wanted to do since the year started — since the last fight against Pavlovich — I’ve wanted to get back in there.’

‘Bit of a strange conundrum with my division,’ Aspinall continued. ‘Usually, when the champ is coming back, the interim [champion] would obviously fight the champ. Jon Jones is holding sh*t up, let’s be honest.

‘He’s playing games, so me and Curtis Blaydes though. We have history, we fought before — granted it was 15 seconds, it wasn’t an actual fight. I got injured, Curtis takes the win, but now it’s time to get a bit of payback.’

Aspinall will be taking on Curtis Blaydes in the co-main event at UFC 304, which is set to be held in Manchester in July.

The clash will be a rematch from two years ago when the British fighter sustained a knee injury in the early stages, and therefore missing out on the win.

As such, despite not getting his shot at the title with Jones, Aspinall admitted that he is still ‘very, very motivated’ by a chance at revenge.

‘If I’m not going to fight Jon, which obviously that’s not going to happen right now, this is the ideal situation,’ Aspinall explained.

‘So [I’m] very, very happy, very, very motivated, for it. I’m going to put absolutely everything into the training camp, absolutely everything into the lifestyle, and, yeah, looking forward to it very much.’

The huge card in Manchester will be the first sporting event to be held at the £365million Co-op Live arena – the largest indoor entertainment venue in the UK.

However, despite the excitement of a return to England for the UFC, fans will have to deal with a late night – with the main card set to begin at 3am BST.

  • Oleksandr Usyk has the ADVANTAGE over Tyson Fury in undisputed heavyweight title fight, insists boxing legend Evander Holyfield… and there is only one way the Gypsy King can win in Saudi Arabia

Oleksandr Usyk has the ADVANTAGE over Tyson Fury in undisputed heavyweight title fight, insists boxing legend Evander Holyfield… and there is only one way the Gypsy King can win in Saudi Arabia

Boxing legend Evander Holyfield believes Oleksandr Usyk has the edge over Tyson Fury ahead of their historic unification bout in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

The two heavyweights, who are each bidding to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four belt era, will finally take to the ring in Riyadh after months of preparation, with the Fury considered the favourite over the Ukrainian.

But Holyfield, who reigned as the undisputed cruiserweight champion during the late 1980s, believes Usyk’s versatility and size gives him an advantage over the Gypsy King, praising the 37-year-old fighter’s relentless and energetic style.

‘I think, if Tyson Fury can keep him out there, keep hitting him with the jab, he is going to win,’ Holyfield exclusively told Mail Sport on Friday. ‘Usyk is going to try and get in, so Tyson needs to keep him out there and keep him out there for a long time.

‘But, if Usyk manages to get in, the fight could go in his favour. If the guy that has the long arm is successful in keeping out there, he will win. But, if Usyk is able to get in, he is going to win because he throws more punches and he’s got the faster hands.

‘Usyk actually has the advantage because he is the smaller guy, but he’s also got good punching power and he has quick hands. So, he’s really got more of an advantage, he’s really got more.’

Holyfield, who claims Usyk has been ‘tested more than taller guys’, has suggested that the Ukrainian will adapt better on the night than Fury.

‘Being smaller guys too, we are in and out all of the time. We are accustomed to it. The big guys, they are the ones that aren’t accustomed to it but they hit a lot harder too,’ he added.

‘Usyk has a lot of energy. He likes working. He’s one of the those guys, you just look at him and you know he is trouble. He has that look in his face that you know he is winning to go through anything.

‘He hasn’t been a really big guy his entire life, so he’s constantly been tested more than the taller guys. When you’re a big guy, people don’t mess with big people.’

Tyson Fury reveals why he REFUSED to look at Oleksandr Usyk during the final press conference before their undisputed heavyweight title showdown in Saudi Arabia

Tyson Fury has continued the mind games heading into Saturday’s showdown with Oleksandr Usyk, by revealing why he refused to look at his opponent during the pre-match press conference.

The two heavyweights meet in Saudi Arabia this weekend in what is one of the biggest fights in recent boxing history.

With all four belts on the line, the victor has the chance to become the division’s first heavyweight to unify the division since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.

Ahead of the bout, the two fighters participated in the final press conference, where Fury tried to get in the head of the Ukrainian by refusing to look at him during proceedings.

Throughout the press event, the Brit boxer looked straight ahead at the crowd and failed to look in Usyk’s direction.

Talking to Sky Sports in the aftermath of the event, Fury was asked why he didn’t go face-to-face with his opponent, to which he jokingly replied by saying: ‘He’s a scary looking dude.’

Fury went on to say in the interview that he’s now ready for all the games and talking to stop and to get on with the fight.

Adding: ‘Yeah I’m just here to relax now and just wait until I get in the ring on Saturday night. All the talking is done, all the interviews are done, I’m just relaxed and focussed.’

He ended the quick interview by being asked when he’d be ready to switch into fight mode, stating ‘Whenever, whenever I decide to.’

The face-to-face refusal has been another slice of drama in an eventful build-up to the fight in the Middle East.

Earlier this week, Fury’s father was involved in an altercation with a member of Usyk’s team that resulted in him head butt and saw John Fury leave the melee with blood pouring from his forehead.

There has also been complaints from some in the Ukrainians team over the ring canvass that will be used in Jeddah.

With fears that the joins in the material could be a trip hazard for the fighters – a claim that has been shot down by the man who made the canvass Mike Goodall.

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaborative project, “Vultures,” has yet another new release date

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaborative project, “Vultures,” has yet another adjusted release date. Initially set for Dec. 15, then moved to Dec. 31, and most recently to Jan. 12, the album is now slated for release next Friday, Jan. 19, as reported by HipHopDX.

The release date has been subject to multiple changes, with a recent twist earlier this month when a representative for Kanye West informed Forbes that the album had no confirmed release date, contradicting the previously set Jan. 12 date.

The title track, featuring Lil Durk and Bump J, serves as the lead single and has gained traction by securing the No. 8 position on Billboard’s Bubbling Under 100 chart. This chart ranks songs approaching the top 100 in the country, making “Vultures” the 108th most popular song in the nation.

Ty Dolla $ign had previously unveiled the tracklist, revealing 18 songs expected on the album. Snippets from other artists, including Future, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, Chris Brown, and Quavo, were teased during the listening party. However, the only confirmed guest appearance on an unreleased track is Timberland on the “Timbo Freestyle.”

The potential tracklist, as determined by a listening party attended by both artists last month, is as follows:

“Everybody” Feat. Charlie Wilson, Lil Baby
“Back To Me” Feat. Freddie Gibbs, Offset, Quavo
“Fuk Sumn” Feat. Playboi Carti, Quavo
    “Time Moving Slow”

On Friday, Kanye West went out with his oldest son after the game. Following his basketball game in California, area of Los Angeles, the eight-year-old Saint was taken out for a treat by the rapper, 46, who is being sued for allegedly punching an autograph seeker in 2022.

The Gold Digger musician donned black jeans, black sneakers, and a black hooded jacket—his signature ensemble. The young athlete was wearing black sneakers and white socks along with his black and white Sports Academy uniform. The father and boy seemed to be on their own. The entire amount owed in taxes is $1,035,126.56.

Whether he will pay the substantial amount anytime soon is still up in the air as the fines keep piling up. The rapper POWER could be attempting to sell off some of his possessions. The Malibu beachside home that West paid $57 million for in September 2021 is being offered for $4 million less, as was made public last month.

Kim Kardashian sends Nikki Glaser a private message about the ‘abuse’ she endured at Tom Brady’s Netflix roast

Nikki Glaser has revealed that Kim Kardashian sent her a private message after getting brutally booed during her appearance at Netflix‘s Roast of Tom Brady.

One week after the reality star, 43, was reportedly left ‘rattled’ by the blowback she received from the crowd, Glaser, 39, who received rave reviews on her now-viral set during the live special, opened up about an online exchange with the SKIMS founder.

While appearing on Jake Johnson and Gareth Reynolds’ We’re Here To Help podcast, the comedian divulged that ‘Kim Kardashian DMed’ her ‘on the way in’ to their studio.

‘She said, “You killed it on the roast,” pretty much. I wrote back, “Kim, oh my god. I was trying to make eye contact with you every chance I could to mouth to you, “You f**king killed, girl.”‘

Glaser said it didn’t surprise her that Kardashian was so funny after her ‘elite’ Saturday Night Live monologue while hosting the program back in 2021.

The podcaster added that she thanked Kardashian for being ‘so nice’ and writing her.

After Johnson and Reynolds persuaded Glaser to check for a reply, the comedian mused it would be ‘so anticlimactic if she didn’t’ and it just says ‘seen.’

To Glaser’s surprise however, Kardashian had written back.

The mother-of-four’s message read: ‘Aww thanks! And YOU killed it. I don’t know how you do this — it’s abuse lol.’

Despite their friendly banter over Instagram, Glaser clarified that the messages did not mean they were friends.

‘I did not get the vibe that she wants to hang out,’ she joked. ‘If I get that vibe ever, I will jump on it.’

During the Roast of Tom Brady, Kardashian was blindsided by the ‘brutal’ reception she received while roasting Brady as she took to the podium at the Kia Forum.

Following the incident, a source told DailyMail.com that the reality star left upset at the sheer number of boos.

‘Kim expected some jokes to be sent her way, maybe some backlash because there are always haters, but this was way more than she ever expected,’ the insider said. ‘She was thrown off her game and it caught her off guard.

The source continued: ‘She tried to take it in stride because it is a roast, but she didn’t like the boos. It made her upset, but a day or two removed from being in the lions den, she is OK with it, but Sunday night was brutal and really rattled her.’

Her frosty reception came seconds after she took to the stage while launching into a joke, telling Kevin: ‘I know a lot of people make fun of your height.’

Kim appeared to double take at the reaction before attempting to claw back the crowd, shouting: ‘Alright, alright, alright.’

With the boos unrelenting, Kevin appeared to jump in to damage control the situation and could be heard off screen saying: ‘Woah, woah, woah.’

According to another source at the telecast, the booing was even more vigorous inside, with some audience members shouting ‘Aimee’ throughout her set in a nod to the Taylor Swift song ThanK you aIMee, which is believed to be about her feud with Kim.

‘The number of boos that Kim got was even worse inside the building, the telecast didn’t pick up the brunt of it,’ the insider said.

‘There were chants of Thank You Aimee. There were people that hated that she was there, and every time someone made fun of her, it was easily one of the most well-received jokes on the night.’

A third insider added: ‘This was live which made it worse. Unlike the reality show, she cannot edit anything out.’

While the booing could be heard by those watching the special live, the criticism of Kardashian was removed by Netflix in the final cut of the roast before it was posted on the streaming site.

Netflix teases Tom Brady’s Greatest Roast of All Time comedy special

Despite the heckles, Kim was also applauded for her ‘funny’ speech which saw her allude to rumors she had enjoyed a romance with Tom.

‘I’m really here tonight for Tom,’ she said. ‘I wasn’t going to come tonight, but since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I might.’

Kim, who was recently linked to NFL player Odell Beckham Jr, referenced her 2007 sex tape with Ray-J as she continued: ‘I know there were some rumors that we were, and I’d never say if we did or not – I’d just release a tape.’

She also included a reference to Caitlyn Jenner, who used to be married to her mother Kris Jenner.

‘I do know it would’ve never worked out,’ Kim said. ‘An ex-athlete, high cheekbones, silky hair … you remind me too much of my stepdad now.’

She added: ‘Part of me thinks you would want to entrust me just to try on my clothes. I know the transition from the NFL must’ve been really hard, but I think my stepdad is a great example for you.

Kim made a reference to her late father Robert Kardashian’s work on the late O.J. Simpson’s ‘Dream Team’ of attorneys, to wrap up her set.

‘Honestly, it’s hard for me to watch people roast you,’ she said. ‘But I think enough of my family members have helped defend former football players.

Later, Tom joined in on the roasting during his response, making a dig at Kim's ex-husband Kanye West and her four children (seen earlier this month at Netflix's The Greatest Roast Of All Time: Tom Brady)

‘So I’m just here tonight to support you and celebrate you – I’ll give you the same advice I give all of my exes, good luck knowing the best is behind you… cheers, everyone, to Tom Brady!’

As well as roasting Tom, she also found herself the butt of jokes by other comedians, including Tony Hinchcliffe, who advised her to ‘close your legs.’

Tony, 39, made reference to Will Ferrell’s cameo as Ron Burgundy at the comedy show, who in the 2004 film Anchorman said: ‘Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means ‘a whale’s vagina’.’

Tony said: ‘A whales vagina, which reminds me. Kim Kardashian’s here she’s had a lot of black men celebrating her end zone.

‘Kim word of advice: close your legs you have more public beef than Kendrick and Drake.’

Tom also joined in on the roasting during his response, making a dig at Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West and her four children.

‘I know Kim was terrified to be here tonight,’ he said. ‘Not because of this, but because her kids are at home with their dad.’

Kim – who shares daughters North, 10, and Chicago, six, and sons Saint, eight, and Psalm, four, with the rapper – was seen shaking her head at the comment and struggling to smile as the audience erupted in cheer around her.

In response, Pippen said that West should “lighten up” about having children since “seven kids is crazy!” Kardashian concurred. That is absurd. She said to Pippen, “I could never, especially in like the world we live in,” adding that the frequency of school shootings had increased her anxiety about having more kids. “Because it keeps me up at night worrying about how my kids will survive in this crazy world, I’ve been hesitant about having more kids.” Kardashian stated to ELLE earlier this year that she can only have a maximum of four children. Then, she remarked, “My time is fragile.” “And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom give the husband as much attentions as the kids.”

In a late-September episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kardashian said that West appeared to be envious of the attention she gives the couple’s three kids rather than him. According to People, she claimed that she and West had been arguing more and that their disagreements were “really stupid and lately, we’ve been having a lot.” “I think so many husbands feel neglected when you start having kids and then all of their attention gets taken away.”

Kanye West once again spent incomprehensible money when making Titanium teeth worth $850K, inspired by James Bond villain Jaws

Kanye West has recently undergone a dramatic transformation, opting to replace all of his natural teeth with opulent titanium prostheses, resembling the iconic James Bond antagonist Jaws from the Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker eras.

In an Instagram post, the rapper proudly showcased his pointed new smile, drawing attention to the staggering $850,000 reportedly spent on this one-of-a-kind surgical implant.

The exclusive photograph obtained by DailyMail.com revealed West’s lavish dentures, described as “more expensive than diamonds,” personally designed by the celebrity himself.

Master Dental Technician Naoki Hayashi and Dr. Thomas Connelly in Beverly Hills collaborated on the intricate fitting process. Connelly praised the artistic vision combined with dental science that resulted in this spectacular new appearance.

This isn’t the first time Kanye West has made headlines for his dental choices. In 2010, he flaunted glistening gold and diamond implants, claiming they had replaced his entire lower row of teeth. However, these statements were met with skepticism from fans.

Amidst these surprising revelations, West has faced financial challenges, with reports indicating delinquency on over $1 million in taxes. His apparel company, Yeezy Apparel, LLC, has accumulated four active tax judgments totaling $934,033.56 over the past three years. Additionally, two co-owned residences face $101,093 in property taxes.

As Kanye West navigates these financial hurdles, he has also put his Malibu oceanfront property, purchased for $57 million in 2021, on the market for $4 million less. The rapper’s recent dental choice, along with these financial moves, raises questions about his evolving lifestyle and potential efforts to divest assets.

While both Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West were cheering on their son Saint at his basketball game, they had an awkward run-in. The former couple, who haven’t been seen together due to their difficulties with co-parenting, greeted the “Heartless” rapper in a laid-back manner.

Their 6-year-old daughter Chicago stood between them, and she seemed to have a friendly conversation with her former partner. With his back to the camera, West, dressed in a black T-shirt, faced Kardashian. The couple’s other children, Psalm, 4, and North, 10, didn’t seem to be there to encourage Saint, 8.

Kardashian, 46, and West, 46, filed for divorce in February 2021. Kardashian has been open about her difficult relationship with the “Bound 2” artist. In an interview conducted in December 2022, the month their divorce was finalized, she broke down in tears and said that co-parenting with her ex was “f–king hard.”
She stated on the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast that “co-parenting is hard.” “It’s incredibly difficult.” She remembered Robert Kardashian, her late father, as the “best dad,” and she wanted her kids to feel the same way about West. Kardashian remarked, “As long as my kids can have that, that’s all I want for them—the best memories and the greatest experience.”
