Prince Harry is said to harbour resentment against King Charles

Prince Harry is believed to harbour negative feelings about King Charles’ decision to evict his family from Frogmore Cottage.

The Duke of Sussex was asked to vacate the private residence in the UK, where he lived with wife Meghan Markle and kids, two months after the release of his memoir Spare last year

Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn suggest the prince was enraged at the 75-year-old monarch for stripping him off a safe place in case of his return to his home country.

He also claimed Harry likes to portray himself as an “eternal victim” to royal family’s purported attacks.

“Harry took it as a cruel rejection – a painful reminder of all that he felt when his father fought with his mother during their long drawn out, painful divorce,” shared Tom.

“Whenever Charles puts his foot down, it seems unfair to Harry who feels that after everything that has happened to him, he should always get whatever he wants whether that be security paid for by the British taxpayer or a luxurious UK home,” the royal expert explained.

“For many Harry is just a poor little rich kid behaving like a spoiled brat, but Harry sees himself as the eternal victim,” he added.

Meghan Markle’s ex-pal Jessica Mulroney subtly snubs her amid race row

Meghan Markle had a fallout with her loyal friend Jessica Mulroney, who worked as her stylist on ‘Suits’

Meghan Markle’s former bestie Jessica Mulroney appeared to have snubbed the duchess with a cryptic message she posted online.

Mulroney, 43, took to her Instagram Story to share a video by @WomennSoul who was sending out a strong message about genuine friends and looking at both sides of the story, via Page Six.

“Anybody who believes lies about you, before even hearing your side of the story, was already looking for a way to be against you,” the woman said in the video.

She then asked, “Do I need to say that one more time?”

The former Suits actress and Mulroney were best friends before Meghan married into the royal family.

Although, Mulroney, who worked as Meghan’s stylist during Suits, attended the Duchess of Sussex’s 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, during which her daughter, Ivy, was a bridesmaid, while her twin sons, John and Brian, were page boys.

The IG post comes amid the race row that is currently affecting Meghan and Prince Harry, after Omid Scobie’s book revealed the names of the two racist royals to be King Charles and Kate Middleton.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were ranked as the fourth most disliked celebrities in the world, but an expert has claimed the Duchess of Sussex won’t be too fussed about it Meghan Markle is “unbothered” by her ‘low levels of popularity’ in the UK says a top PR wizz.

Prince Harry's UK Return Leaves Royal Family in 'Painful Mess' as King Urged to Halt Sussexes' 'Quasi-Royal Tours'

Ranker released its most disliked celebrities of 2024 list earlier this week, which saw James Corden, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Amber Heard rank among the most unpopular A-listers by the 31,400 people who cast 394,5000 votes. Team Sussex landed in fourth place in this hall of shame, but Meghan isn’t losing any sleep over her rating according to one expert.

Speaking about Meghan’s low popularity, Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR said: “In the latest YouGov survey released at the beginning of May, Meghan received a very low score. In fact, it should be noted that 65% of respondents disliked her, and 45% had very negative views of her”, reports the Mirror.

“Only 4% of Brits expressed very positive feelings toward her while her overall net approval rating dropped from minus 43 to minus 38 at the beginning of April”, she added. Lynn went on to say she believes Meghan would be taking the survey results with a “pinch of salt”. She added: “I’m not sure how interested she is anymore in getting the British public back on her side.

“She is American and that is where her family life is now, so she will be more concerned in raising her popularity in her own country and focusing on building her brand American Rivera Orchard and making it a huge success.”

Lynn added: “Harry of course will be as it’s his birthplace, and he wants his children to be connected to the British heritage. But we only need to look at their visit to Nigeria last week to know that would have given the couple much confidence because they are celebrated in that country and in their eyes the tour would have been a great success and they do have more visits to other countries lined-up.”

“They did face some criticism from royal supporters as their trip had all the hallmarks of an official royal tour. As Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, if their foreign visits continue like this, it is likely to cause some friction with King Charles.”

King Charles, who has emerged into a renewed chapter of his life post-cancer treatment, marked by his medical team’s approval for him to resume public duties, inadvertently alluded to the challenges faced by his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, during his recent appearance.

The Monarch, aged 75, made an unexpected visit to an army barracks in Hampshire, where he humorously remarked about his freedom, stating he was “allowed out of my cage.”

His absence from public engagements spanning nearly 3 months due to his undisclosed cancer diagnosis came to an end as he was escorted into the officer’s Mess by LTC Grant, according to BBC reports.

Charles expressed his apologies for catching the officers off-guard, attributing his sudden appearance to his newfound liberty, quipping, “When this opportunity appeared and I had been allowed out of my cage, I wanted to come to have a look.”

His jest subtly hinted at the probable sentiments of his daughter-in-law, The Duchess of Cambridge, who is likely feeling confined by her circumstances, unable to engage in public activities while undergoing preventative chemotherapy. Notably, Princess Kate has been absent from official engagements, her public outings curtailed by her ongoing medical treatment over the past four months.

Despite the challenges, there have been glimpses of reassurance regarding Kate’s health, as shared by her husband, Prince William, during a recent outing. He provided a positive update, affirming that she’s doing well. Kate Middleton’s candid acknowledgment of her cancer diagnosis through an emotional video statement in March served to dispel speculations and address concerns about her prolonged absence from public life, disclosing her ongoing chemotherapy regimen.

Breaking News: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Celebrate Princess Lilibet’s 3rd Birthday with Party at Montecito Home

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s little princess is turning 3!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will mark the third birthday of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, on June 4, but they got the festivities started early with pre-birthday bash. The family celebrated over the weekend with a party at home in Montecito, California, PEOPLE confirms. Among the guests were close friends and family as well as some of Lili’s friends.

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born in California after Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal roles and moved to Meghan’s home state in the U.S. with their son, Prince Archie, now 5, in 2020. Lilibet’s birth announcement, shared on the Archewell Foundation website, said that she was named after Queen Elizabeth’s family nickname while her middle name, Diana, “was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales.”

The birth announcement also referred to the newborn as Lili, a nickname that Prince Harry and Meghan have continued to call their daughter.

In March 2023, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were using their children’s royal titles through the news of their daughter’s christening announcement. Once their grandfather King Charles acceded to the throne in September 2022, Archie and Lilibet were afforded the titles of prince and princess, making them Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The royal family’s official website was updated to reflect the children’s new titles the next day, and the children are referred to by their royal titles in their parents’ biographies on sussex.com, which launched in February. Around the same time, PEOPLE learned that Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, have adopted their titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the last name for their children. PEOPLE understands that Sussex is their family surname. Using their titles as their children’s last names follows the tradition historically used by members of the royal family.

Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and Zara Tindall have come under fire for not supporting Prince Harry during his recent visit to the UK for the Invictus Games service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. Fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have expressed their disappointment and frustration over the absence of Harry’s cousins, who are known to have close personal ties with him and Meghan Markle.

During the event, Prince Harry appeared alone without any immediate family members, as his wife Meghan Markle and their children stayed in Montecito. His father, King Charles, attended a Buckingham Palace garden party, while his brother, Prince William, was busy with an investiture at Windsor Castle. Despite this, Prince Harry was joined by his late mother Princess Diana’s siblings, Charles Spencer and Lady Jane Fellowes, who came to show their support.

Social media was abuzz with comments from royal watchers criticizing the non-attendance of Zara, 42, Beatrice, 35, and Eugenie, 34. One fan remarked, “Diana’s family attended the Invictus service as support for Prince Harry, whose family didn’t turn up. Not even his favorite cousin Zara. That’s family for you.” Another added, “The absence of Zara Tindall and other members of the Royal Family at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games Service raised questions.”

Fans questioned why other non-working royals like Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Lady Louise did not attend the service either. “I don’t care what anyone thinks. It’s shameful how that family didn’t show up, not just for Harry, but the worldwide veterans who participate in Invictus,” another critic posted. There was also mention of Beatrice and Eugenie’s previous visits to Harry in America, including a notable outing to the Super Bowl.

However, some royal supporters came to the defense of the princesses, citing possible scheduling conflicts. One user pointed out, “Princess Eugenie lives in the UK and Portugal yes. I said I was sad that neither of the princesses attended.” Another explained, “I think Princess Beatrice was in New York for her own charity commitment but still disappointing. I think though they are supportive of Harry more than the rest of the family.”

In contrast, Princess Beatrice is poised to take on a more visible role within the Royal Family this summer, amidst her cousins’ absence at the Invictus Games. With the Princess of Wales recovering at home and King Charles resuming light duties, Beatrice’s increased presence at royal engagements is both timely and significant. At 35, Beatrice, traditionally considered a non-working royal, is expected to participate in several key events.

Beatrice is set to join King Charles during the upcoming state visit by Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at Buckingham Palace. The increased involvement of Princess Beatrice comes at a crucial time for the monarchy, which has a limited number of working members. According to reports, King Charles aims to include Beatrice and occasionally her sister, Princess Eugenie, in the cast list for such events. This strategy reflects a broader effort to invigorate the royal presence with fresh faces and maintain public engagement.

On Monday, the second in line to the British throne was presented with the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps by his father, King Charles III.

The official hand off happened at the Army Aviation Centre in Hampshire, England. The role, which was previously held by Charles for three decades, makes William the official head of the miliary regiment.

William, 41, and Charles, 75, were seen posing in front of an Apache helicopter as the king presented his son with the official uniform patch. William then suited up, and got right to work, joining members of the armed forces on base, and speaking with them about their military work. William flew out of the base in an Apache helicopter.

William’s new role has a close connection to his younger brother, Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex actively served as part of the military regiment for 10 years, from 2005-2015. During his time in the military, Harry served in Afghanistan twice and was ranked Apache helicopter commander.

Last week, royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET that William’s new role would appear as a “slap in the face,” to his estranged younger brother, as he was stripped of his military duties when he stepped away from royal life in 2020.

“Yes, he’s over here part of the Invictus community celebrating 10 years, but he’s been stripped of his right to wear his military uniform,” Nicholl said. “And now his brother’s taken over the role that I think Harry would have expected to have come to him, had he still been a working member of the royal family. So, yes, I think the timing does feel poignant. And, yes, I think it’s probably another slap in the face for Prince Harry, and yet another reminder that he’s very much out rather than in when it comes to the royal family.”

Charles’ appointment of the role to William comes amid his public battle with cancer. The monarch, who announced his diagnosis in February, has recently returned to public-facing duties. The Prince of Wales is also undertaking solo engagements, as his wife, Kate Middleton, privately undergoes treatment for her cancer diagnosis.

William and Charles’ joint outing comes as Harry and Meghan marked their first international tour since stepping away from royal duties. Over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to Nigeria after being invited for a visit by the Chief of Defense Staff.

Harry traveled back home to the U.K. last week in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Prior to his travels, a spokesperson for Harry confirmed that he would not see his family.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson for Harry told ET. “The duke, of course, is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have just wrapped up their three-day tour of Nigeria. The couple were visiting the African country to promote the Invictus Games and they met with a number of key figures during the trip.

Royal author Tom Quinn claims the monarch was angered by Harry and Meghan’s trip and is doing everything in his power to stop it happening again. He suggested to The Mirror: “King Charles is in a terrible bind – he would love to strip Meghan and Harry of their royal titles, but fears this will look vindictive.

On the other hand, he has to find a way to put a stop to any future trips by Harry and Meghan to other commonwealth countries. That has now become his number one priority.”

Tom suggested the King might use “back channels” in order to “try to block any further invitations to the wayward couple”. However, he admitted that will “prove very difficult”.

“That’s why she always makes a point of holding Harry’s hand for the cameras, something she knows Willam and Kate would never do.” Tom suggested the monarch will now be making some changes to the Royal Family.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

Meghan Markle would have a new royal title - even if she was no longer Duchess if Sussex

There have long been rumours that Meghan Markle harbours political ambitions.

From the very early days of her relationship with Prince Harry, royal watchers questioned whether a woman who had called Donald Trump “divisive” and “misogynistic”, before discouraging Americans from voting for him ahead of the 2016 US election, could ever be comfortable as a royal – infamously a position that forbids revealing even the slightest political leaning, let alone actual intervention.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

For a time, she appeared to accept that royals and politics do not mix but when she and Prince Harry stepped back from their roles and set up home in California, rumours were rife that she was ready to flex her political muscles.

Yet while there have been murmurings and even speculation that a run for the Senate was in the offing, Meghan’s most direct political intervention was a 1,030-word letter she penned to senior Democrats in 2021 where she advocated for parental leave as a “national right”, drawing on her own experience as a mother of two small children, while reportedly cold-calling senators seeking their support on the issue.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

Those political aspirations seemed to be put on hold while she embraced other enterprises – hosting podcasts, appearing in a Netflix documentary, and most recently, launching a fledgling lifestyle brand. But there are now whispers that a political rebrand of the Duchess of Sussex is afoot.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

The couple’s recent visit to Nigeria, initially assumed by many (myself included) to be a kind of faux-royal tour, looks like it may have had a very different intent.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

The three-day, highly publicised trip, which has been described as a “presidential” tour, was stage-managed by Miranda Barbot, a slick PR guru who helped get Barack Obama re-elected, and was on hand to ensure the visit went without a hitch.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

Royal watchers have speculated that certain events – for example a panel discussion on Saturday when Meghan spoke in front of 50 of Nigeria’s top female leaders from the the worlds of politics, media and business – were designed to show the Duchess of Sussex, not as a “part-time royal” fitting in tours in between commercial commitments, but as a sure-footed stateswoman on the global stage.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

There’s no doubting that the tour was successful – it was certainly far smoother and better managed than the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Jamaica tour where gaffes included the infamous photograph of the couple interacting with local children through a chain-link fence. Meghan definitely looked the part but – as I come back to again and again with the Duchess of Sussex’s projects – where is the actual substance? What do we know of her political vision? Or her political ability?

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

Success in the world of politics surely depends on the skill with which you can work the system. Meghan’s attempts to infiltrate that sphere have been by no means wholly successful. It was reported that she and Prince Harry requested a ride back to the US on board Air Force One alongside President Joe Biden and the First Lady after the Queen’s memorial service – a request which received an immediate no from the White House.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

We do know that Meghan is a politically engaged woman. She wrote a letter to Procter & Gamble as a child to complain about a sexist advertising campaign for dish soap which apparently succeeded in getting said advertisement changed. We know that she cares about women’s empowerment and, pre-Harry, she was named a UN Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership. Do I know exactly what that title entails? No, but it sounds impressive.

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

And here – in my opinion – is the crux of the issue. Meghan certainly can look the part and she has the kind of name recognition and contacts that would be the envy of any would-be politician, but what differentiates her political beliefs and action from those of any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman of her age and background?

Meghan is carefully rebranding as a stateswoman – but where’s the substance? What differentiates her from any other well-educated, well-meaning, left-leaning woman?

Surely it takes more than looking stateswoman-like on a slick foreign visit to make it in the slippery world of Washington, DC?

Oprah Winfrey Hopes Queen’s Death Will Be Harry & Meghan’s ‘Opportunity For Peacemaking’ With Estranged Royal Family

Oprah Winfrey has hope for the royal family, but is she really someone who should be weighing in?

On Sunday, the talk show host sat down with  to discuss her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary  about the late acting legend Sidney Poitier while at the Toronto Film Festival. In the process, she was asked to discuss her thoughts on another kind of legend: the legendary feud between the royal family! Something she knows a thing or two about since she was the one to interview Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their explosive tell-all chat in 2020!

When asked by reporter Jenn Lahmers if Queen Elizabeth II’s death will be a chance for the couple to “heal some wounds” with the rest of the royals, Oprah mused:

“Well, this is what I think, I think in all families — you know, my father passed recently, this summer, and when all families come together for a common ceremony, the ritual of, you know, burying your dead, there’s an opportunity for peacemaking… And hopefully, there will be that.”

Seems like she’s got her fingers crossed that the family will mend their broken fences! Hear her discuss the sticky situation between the famous family (below)!

It’s not the first time we’ve heard this sentiment! Earlier this week, sources told the  that Harry and Prince William’s cousin Peter Phillips could help pull them together in this dark time — and he’s already acting as a “peacemaker.” Sounds like just about everyone is hoping to see the brothers unite again, and not just for show. But only time will tell if they can truly forgive and forget. Meanwhile, fans are having a hard time forgetting Oprah’s history with the royal family — and her involvement in the feud!

After the interview hit the internet, royal fans were outraged to hear the media personality discussing the family’s feud considering she helped ignite it by hosting Harry and Meghan’s CBS special. Fans argued on Twitter:

“Oprah talks about ‘burying the dead’ and says she hopes it will help Prince Harry and Meghan ‘make peace’ with the royals. She’s priceless isn’t she. Never scrutinised a word [Harry and Meghan] said… She calls herself a serious talk show host.”

“Oprah forgets she started this. Maybe an apology would help with the peacemaking.”

“Oprah, you had plenty of opportunities to ask real questions and dispute some of the things said. But, you didn’t. And trying to convince the public that this wasn’t choreographed to the nth degree? Come on, Sis. You can’t fool us anymore…”

“Hey @Oprah if you cared for that family you wouldn’t have given them a platform to badmouth the RF family. After your interview the anger between them widened. So stop the BS talk.”

“Oprah has a cheek, when she provided the platform for Meghan to trash our Queen and Royal Family – and encouraged her!”

    Yeesh!!

Is Oprah really to blame?! There’s a reason Harry and Meghan left the UK! Things were pretty f**ked up before the special…

While the interview did give the controversy a larger platform, it’s not like she had anything to do with the bombshells her guests decided to reveal. And it’s likely the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 would have found someone else to interview them if Oprah said no. At the end of the day, they’re the ones who opened their mouths, and only they and the other royals really know the truth about what happened behind the scenes.

But what do YOU think, Perezcious readers? Does Oprah owe an apology? Is it rude of her to be commenting on the drama because of her history with Harry and Meghan? Sound OFF (below)!
