Meg, 42, made multiple outfit changes during the “unforgettable” trip where she and the duke met with locals and leaders.

But while attempting to keep up appearances – spending almost £120k on jewellery and new clothes – the former actress’ fashion is said to have offended First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

During a speech to mark President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office, after the Sussexes had landed back in the US, Tinubu appeared to make a sly dig at Meghan.

Addressing crowds, Tinubu said girls and women in Nigeria “do not want to mimic and try to emulate film stars from America” with their “nakedness”.

She added: “The message here is we have to salvage our children. We see the way they dress.

“They keep forgetting that Nigeria, we are beautiful. You can see what they showcase on the stage, I said, ‘We are fashionable, we see what is going on’.

“We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed.

“So we have to do something. Tell them we don’t accept nakedness in our culture. That is not beautiful. It’s not beautiful at all.

“And they’re all beautiful girls, but they should be confident in who they are.

“They do not want to mimic and try to emulate film stars from America. They don’t know where they come from.

“Why did Meghan come here looking for Africa? That is something we have to take home with.

“We know who we are. Don’t lose who you are.”

Tinubu has since claimed her words were taken out of context and any criticism was not aimed at Meg.

Her office said: “She meant Meghan appreciates the people we are and hence her coming here.

“At no point did she say anything about Meghan’s dressing.”

Meghan wore a number of high-end brands on the trip, including Carolina Herrera, Altuzarra, and Johanna Ortiz.

Given the extreme levels of poverty in Nigeria, the American has been slammed.

During Harry and Meghan’s trip, the couple visited a warzone, played volleyball and even stood up for God Save The King.

The Sussexes kicked off their “faux-Royal tour” with a visit to Lightway Academy, a primary and secondary school in the capital.

They then visited Nigeria’s defence HQ on Friday to meet military wives and senior officials.

 

 

The following day Harry was snapped playing volleyball, before Meghan referred to Nigeria as “my country”.

Speaking at an event in the capital Abuja, the duchess said: “I want to start by saying thank you very much for just how gracious you’ve all been in welcoming my husband and I to this country… my country.

“I am just flattered and honoured and inspired. It has been a whirlwind 24 hours since we arrived.

“And I very quickly got the memo that I need to wear more colour, so I can fit in with all of you and your incredible fashion.”

The Duchess of Sussex recently discovered she was 43 per cent Nigerian, according to a genealogy test.

The next day, Harry tried his hand at basketball, before they finished up their trip at a charity polo match.

They also unveiled a partnership between their Archewell Foundation and the non-profit Giants of Africa, which aims to empower young people through sport.

But in the hours that followed the charity hit headlines after it was reportedly declared “delinquent” and ordered to stop raising money.

It was alleged the charity did not file its 2022 tax return or related costs on time.

However, the docs were filed and the cheque sent but it never arrived, reported The Telegraph.

The Sussexes’ charity last week broke its silence on the alleged cash woes saying it is “fully compliant”.

A spokesperson said: “We have diligently investigated the situation and can confirm that The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing.

 

“Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures.

“Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing.”

His comments come after Prince Harry allegedly turned down an invite from King Charles to stay at a royal residence during the 39-year-old’s three-night visit to London.

Harry was on a whistle-stop tour to promote the Invictus Games this month, but did not see the King.

Harry was said to have made several requests for a meeting and blamed the King’s “full programme” when it didn’t happen.

But Charles did agree to put Harry up at a secret royal residence knowing he does not have a UK base, according to The Telegraph.

Harry said no because it would leave him staying in a “visible location with public entrance and exit points and no police protection”, it has been claimed.

Harry ended up staying in a hotel, which he could leave unnoticed.

Speaking to Royal Exclusive, Mr Edwards told host Matt Wilkinson: “Harry’s just lost his way a bit, in my view.

“I think he is the prodigal son, in my view, and he’s got to think about what he’s doing and think what damage he’s done.

“Everybody is capable of forgiveness and I’m sure – look, Harry, he is the prodigal son, but you know the prodigal son did return to the fold and let’s all hope that happens one day.

“I hope it does happen.”

Mr Edwards had earlier said that Harry was behaving “appallingly”, and family was “the most important thing in your life”.

He added: “I imagine the King’s unhappy with Harry being around people where he could learn stories and hear gossip and put it in his next book or his next podcast or next radio or TV interview and it looks like he’s well informed.

“Of course the King felt very upset with that last thing Harry did, the book [Spare], especially what he said about his lovely wife Camilla.

“Because, I mean they’re a very loved-up couple and you know, to offend our Queen, like he did in that book, you know, really upset the King.

“I don’t think he could easily forgive that. And I imagine the King’s had strong words with him over it.

“Probably the reason he didn’t want to go and stay with him because he probably would get another lot.”

It’s not been reported where exactly Prince Harry was offered a room, but it is thought St James’ Palace is a strong contender.

It’s directly opposite Clarence house where the King stays when he’s in London.

Prince Harry is in London but he won’t meet his father The King.

The Duke of Sussex arrived from LA alone without Meghan or their children for a busy diary of events marking 10 years of his Invictus Games.

Before setting off from California it is understood Harry was said to have been “keen’ to see the King for only the second time since his cancer diagnosis.

It is rather telling that confirmation there will be no meeting has come from the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rather than Buckingham Palace.

His team say “it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program”.

They add: “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Now, the word that jumps out is “priorities”.

The King, we understand, is busy as he returns to public duty.

For instance, on Tuesday while Harry was in London the King was carrying out his constitutional duty and meeting the Prime Minister of Fiji at the palace.

He is also set to host a palace garden party and weekly audience with the Prime Minister on Wednesday.

And Harry’s diary is packed full for three days with Invictus. However, they will be at times just two miles apart and risk even driving past each other on London’s roads.

Some observers may see this as “sad” that father and son cannot find time.

Others may say that it’s understandable as both have work commitments and “priorities”.

But maybe there has just been too much water under the bridge for father and son to play happy families amid such huge public attention

Since then it’s been revealed the King did have a packed programme that week, but had made changes that would let him see his son.

The Duke arrived in London on May 7 for a three-day promotional tour of the Invictus Games, which is celebrating its ten year anniversary.

On May 8 Harry spoke at an event in St Paul’s Cathedral where he gave a Bible reading from Corinthians that stressed different people have different gifts and strengths.

As Harry’s event got underway, The King met members of the public at a Buckingham Palace garden party just over two miles away.

The prince was also the surprise guest at a party hosted by Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity that supports the bereaved kids of military personnel.

Harry has been in legal battles with the Home Office over security during visits to the UK.

The prince has only been allowed police protection when taking part in royal events, according to the Telegraph.

Such instances include the late Queen’s funeral or when he was taken to meet the King from Heathrow in February following Charles’ shock cancer diagnosis.

When travelling to and from his hotel in February, the prince only had his own, private bodyguards, the Telegraph alleges.

He now has to give the Metropolitan Police 28 days’ notice if he wants to come to the UK with security provisions.

Each request is dealt with on an individual basis by Ravec, the committee overseeing the protection of royalty and public figures.

Harry’s whistle-stop February visit took just 26 hours while he spent just 20 hours in London for the King’s Coronation last May.

 

The Duke spent between 30 and 40 minutes with Charles at Clarence House before the Monarch departed for Sandringham via helicopter.

Ms Hewson claimed that there are a number of reasons why we won’t be seeing the duke’s wife visit his home country in the near or distant future.

Speaking to the Sun, she said that three key incidents pinpoint to that conclusion – the Royal Family’s lifestyle, the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis and Meghan’s recent move during the couple’s Nigeria tour.

Ms Hewson added that when Harry visited the UK back in May for an Invictus Games event, Meghan wasn’t with him and when they eventually reunited at Heathrow Airport before they jetted to Nigeria, the duchess didn’t make a proper visit to the country as she was “back out” again almost instantly.

She said: “All the signs around Meghan are that she really doesn’t have any desire to set foot in this country again.

“Prince Harry came back for the service at St Paul’s to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games and they were then heading off on their tour and Meghan dipped into Heathrow Airport and straight back out again, she didn’t come to the UK.”

The royal editor added that another reason Meghan is reluctant to visit Harry’s home country is a clash with the royal lifestyle.

She explained: “I’m not sure Meghan is particularly someone who wants to go off stalking and shooting.

“When she first went to Sandringham with Prince Harry and some of his friends and they were going out on a shoot, she was distinctly unimpressed. I don’t know that Balmoral would be her first choice.”

Every wedding comes with its own set of stressors and it’s not uncommon for harsh words to be exchanged when emotions are running high. This is especially true for a Royal wedding where every detail is scrutinised.

However, there’s regular wedding drama and then there’s the peculiar dispute that Harry found himself in with his brother William.

The unusual disagreement revolved around whether or not the groom should sport a beard – at least according to Prince Harry in his chart-topping memoir, Spare. In Harry’s version of events, his elder brother went as far as attempting to veto his facial hair, deeming it inappropriate.

He penned in his book: “A beard was thought by some to be a clear violation of protocol and long-standing norms, especially since I was getting married in my Army uniform. Beards were forbidden in the British Army.”, reports the Mirror.

 

In the memoir, co-authored by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer JR Moehringer, Harry reveals he felt compelled to seek permission from his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, in person, explaining that the beard made him feel more at ease. Harry shared in his book that when he approached the late Queen, she’s gave her consent for him to keep his beard. 

He noted in his book: “‘Yes,’ she said, ‘you may keep your beard,’ writes Harry. “But then I explained it to my brother and he… bristled? Not the done thing, he said. Military rules, and so forth.”

Harry revealed that he gave his older brother ‘a quick history lesson’ with the help of Google, showing William images of Royal ancestors who were bearded and uniformed, like Edward VII and George V. However, when Harry explained that their grandmother had already given him permission to keep his facial hair, William “became livid.”

Harry recalls his brother saying: “You put her in an uncomfortable position, Harold! She had no choice but to say yes.”

Harry claims that William was furious and didn’t drop the argument for over a week. According to Harry, it ended with William telling him to shave off his beard.

But when Harry questioned why it was so important, he got the response where William allegedly said: “Because I wasn’t allowed to keep my beard.”

Harry concludes: “Ah, there it was. After he’d come back from an assignment with Special Forces, Willy was sporting a full beard, and someone told him to be a good boy, run along and shave it. He hated the idea of me enjoying a perk he’d been denied.”

It’s worth noting that William has never commented on these claims or given his side of the story.

In my opinion there has been consistent evidence which demonstrates that Meghan Markle lacks the skills and attitudes required to manage staff and within hours of Archie requiring new born care ( surrogate or not) his first nurse had been dismissed.

 

Given the fact that there has been much controversy over these two ephemeral children who have been hidden from public view since birth it would have been far preferable to have employed a skilled, highly trained nanny if these children are to achieve recognised childhood benchmarks and to develop coping strategies for later life. Doria Ragland’s life and work history would indicate that she is not the right person for this critical role.

The logic of all this is quite simple Archie was introduced to the queen and the royal family so he exists. Lilibet I suggest is real too. All that’s really needs to be determined is , how. Something simple I guess, loads of money and a willing other partner. How hard is that.

All flights have flight manifests, AFZ Agh, listing all people on the flight. Yes, even poor plebs like myself, appear on commercial flight manifests. It is the law, and necessary in case of emergencies. Costa Rica is a foreign country to the US. So passports would also be necessary for all of the Harkles.

 

These are the same issues that came up with all of the lies regarding the “children” being in the UK. To go back even further in time, this issue first came up during Mexit. They left little “Archie” in Canada, but there were no reports of a child leaving with them in the first place. Then the “freedom flight” from Canada to California, no child. Tangled webs, again, from the duplicitous duo.

Meghan Markle’s former royal aide, Samantha Cohen, has finally confirmed she was one of 10 royal staffers to be interviewed in Buckingham Palace’s investigation into bullying accusations leveled against the Duchess of Sussex.

Cohen worked for the royal family since 2001 and was Markle’s private secretary in 2021 when the first complaint was made that the former “Suits” star created a hostile work environment.

Although she would not elaborate in an interview with the Australian newspaper the Herald Sun, Cohen, an Aussie, told the outlet Monday, “I was only supposed to stay for six months but stayed for 18 — we couldn’t find a replacement for me and when we did, we took them on tour to Africa with Harry and Meghan to show them the ropes but they left (quit) as well while in Africa.”

The HR review was privately funded by Queen Elizabeth II and carried out by an independent investigator in March 2021 after two royal staffers alleged they’d been bullied while working for her.

Markle’s legal team denied any allegations of bullying — calling them a “calculated smear campaign.” Allegations included Markle making her assistants cry and treating others so badly that they quit.

The investigation concluded in June 2022, and while a senior royal aide claimed the findings resulted in changes, they also said the findings won’t ever be made public.

Meghan Markle “rejected” Sophie Wessex’s offer to “mentor” her in the Royal Family, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has claimed.

According to Schofield, Meghan made it clear that she did not feel she needed Sophie’s help because “she had Harry.”

 

This comes as the Duchess of Edinburgh has become the first member of the Royal Family to visit Ukraine since the Russian invasion and has been branded “the Royal Family’s secret weapon.”

Speaking to GB News, Schofield explained: “Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, was very loving towards Meghan and attempted to have a relationship with her.

“The Queen actually suggested that the two get together and that Sophie mentor Meghan and Meghan said I’ve got Harry and she rejected that offer.

“I would love to be mentored by Sophie if she’s watching between meetings with foreign presidents, I’ll send you my phone number.

“I think that’s a great opportunity.”

“I think that she was a great role model, and it was a missed opportunity for Meghan to learn how to navigate a difficult situation.”

Meghan and Harry stepped down from their positions as senior royals back in January 2020.
