  • The Witcher Fans’ Unsettling Verdict: Liam Hemsworth’s Strange Geralt Look Divides the Community!

The Witcher Fans’ Unsettling Verdict: Liam Hemsworth’s Strange Geralt Look Divides the Community!

Season four of Netflix’s The Witcher is set to arrive next and with it comes a major casting change, namely the charismatic Henry Cavill will be no more.

Ok, saying that Henry Cavill will be no more is a little dramatic. He’s still alive and well, as far as we’re aware. However, in terms of playing the leading role of Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix live-action adaptation, Mr Cavill will no longer be gracing us with his presence in the fourth season.

Instead, that honour will soon belong to Hunger Games star, Liam Hemsworth. At least fans can get their dose of Henry Cavill in his upcoming Warhammer 40k cinematic universe.

None of us know for sure as to why Henry Cavill is leaving The Witcher. Some have speculated that it’s due to creative differences between him and the Netflix showrunners. We can only speculate. Either way, Liam Hemsworth has some big shoes to fill and whether or not he can suitably fill that void, remains to be seen.

At the time of writing, we haven’t seen what Liam Hemsworth will look like in The Witcher Netflix series. Yet, that hasn’t stopped fans from creating deepfakes of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia and while this concept doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would, much of the fanbase is not sold on this prospect. Granted, watching the deepfake video of Liam Hensworth with Cavill’s voice is weird, but he won’t sound like that in season four, right? He also looks way to young, but we’ll ignore that for now too.

The deepfake in question was created by and uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘stryder HD’ and again, just by looking at the video in question, I think Liam Hemsworth looks ok but much of the comments section thinks differently.

“Liam doesn’t have this kind of older wiser look to him. It’s like the Disney version of Geralt. Henry is the perfect match, he is one of us – fans. He was so excited for the whole project. Liam will be trying to replicate the impossible,” said martinam7806. “Without Henry’s Geralt voice, I don’t think so. RIP Witcher,” replied an unimpressed Broomrider1492.

“It’s not about the looks but Henry’s voice is the main highlight of the character… Without Henry Cavill, I have no interest and it’s not that Liam Hemsworth is bad or anything but without Henry Cavill it just isn’t gonna work for me,” exclaimed abhishekghosh2686.

Sadly, even if Liam Hemsworth knocks the role out of the park, he may be doomed to fail before we even get to see him in action, as pointed out by IrZ_Kuma. “No matter how good Liam will fill the role, the fact that Henry is leaving due to the writers not liking the source material [allegedly] and straying from the true soul of the franchise then it will fall flat and I fear Liam will get more of the blame than he deserves,” they said.

At the time of writing a release date for season four of The Witcher hasn’t been announced but it might be safe to assume that it won’t arrive until late 2024 or early 2025, if we’re lucky.

  • Netflix releases Justice League 2 trailer – Revealing the secret 7th hero with Henry Cavill

Netflix releases Justice League 2 trailer – Revealing the secret 7th hero with Henry Cavill

The fan-made trailer of ‘Justice League 2’ vividly resurrects Cavill, Affleck, and Gadot, teasing a mysterious 7th hero in the Darkseid battle.Following the release of the highly anticipated film Justice League in 2017, fans eagerly awaited news of a sequel. While official confirmation of a follow-up remained elusive, the fervor surrounding the possibility only intensified, fueled by fan-made trailers and speculative discussions within the DC enthusiast community.

One prevailing theory suggested that Netflix could be the platform to host the sequel under the direction of Zack Snyder.

    Zack Snyder’s Justice League

However, what truly set pulses racing was the prospect of the Justice League facing off against one of their most formidable adversaries yet: Darkseid. Adding to the intrigue was the revelation of a secret seventh hero poised to join the ranks of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in the war.

Fan-Made Trailer Teases Epic Potential for Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 on Netflix

Zack Snyder on the sets of Justice League

Despite the lack of official confirmation and the seeming unlikelihood of a sequel to 2017’s Justice League, the passionate DC fanbase remains undeterred. They are continually generating exciting concepts for what a potential Zack Snyder‘s Justice League 2 could entail.

One such manifestation of fan creativity emerged in the form of a teaser trailer concept for Netflix’s Justice League 2 (via Screen Culture). This fan-made trailer brilliantly reimagined the return of Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, respectively, within the Snyderverse.

In this imagined sequel, the heroes find themselves embroiled in an ongoing battle against the formidable Darkseid, whose malevolent presence looms large over the narrative landscape.

The concept trailer masterfully weaves together themes of impending doom and existential threat, as the Justice League grapples with the realization that the new gods are preparing to descend upon Earth. This revelation compels them to unite once more, recognizing the gravity of their past actions, particularly in resurrecting Superman, and the consequences thereof.

    The fan-made trailer suggests,

“you lose something when you die. In Superman maybe not his mind maybe a soul. When you and the others brought me back you unleash things none of us could have foreseen. The new gods are coming for Earth. Another attack is imminent. We’re with you till it’s done.”

The fan trailer suggests that Darkseid’s ultimate objective is to acquire the anti-life equation, a weapon of unimaginable power that could spell doom for the entire universe.

Amidst the impending threat, Batman, portrayed as the consummate strategist and realist, accepts the possibility of his demise, urging his fellow heroes to press on without him if necessary. Their collective resolve is tested like never before as they brace themselves for the imminent clash with Darkseid’s Armada, fully aware that the cost of victory may exact a heavy toll.

Green Lantern’s Surprise Inclusion Ignites Fan Speculation for Snyder’s Justice League 2

Green Lantern, played by Wayne T. Carr

The fan-made trailer of Justice League 2 by Screen Culture added another layer of excitement by hinting at the inclusion of a Secret 7th Hero in the battle against Darkseid.

This mysterious addition to the team was revealed to be Green Lantern, portrayed by Wayne T. Carr, who joins Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman in their epic struggle.

In the trailer, Green Lantern expresses his gratitude for being a part of the fight, stating that he’s glad he didn’t miss the opportunity. The inclusion of Green Lantern in the teaser generated considerable buzz among fans, especially considering the character’s absence from previous iterations of the Justice League.

Wayne T. Carr’s involvement in the Justice League universe was also teased by himself. Carr previously shared a photo showcasing himself as the Green Lantern, accompanied by the hashtag #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.

Carr captioned the photo on X,

“Give the fans what they want- JL 2/3 #RestoreTheSnyderVerse In brightest day…”

While the future of Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 remains uncertain, fans continue to hope for its eventual realization. Ultimately, only time will tell whether Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 will ever come to fruition.

However, the passion and dedication of fans remain unwavering as they eagerly await any developments regarding the continuation of Snyder’s epic saga within the DC universe.

Neither Cyclops Nor Captain Britain, Henry Cavill Will Makes His MCU Debut As The Rival Of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor

After being a part of DCU for a long haul, Henry Cavill was fired and immediately replaced by David Corneswet. Later Cavill walked out from ‘The Witcher,’ leaving the fans worried about the actor’s career.

However, the recent speculation hinted that Henry Cavill signed a deal with Marvel Cinematic Universe in an undisclosed role. With Cavill’s interest in playing Captain Britain and fans demanding him in the suit of Cyclops, there is one deserving role that will suit Henry Cavill.

Henry Cavill Will Debut As Marvel’s Hyperion

If DC owns Superman, then Marvel has its reach over Hyperion. Created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Sal Buscema, the original Hyperion debuted in The Avengers issue 69.

The writer revealed that the character was intended as a pastiche of DC’s iconic hero Superman. With Cavill embodying the Eternals, would be humiliating to DC.

Marvel has been known to throw shade at its rival franchise DC and the ongoing playful spat has been going around since the beginning. MCU is green-lighting Eternals only after DC’s New Gods. Later Marvel approved ‘Captain America: Civil War’ after DC’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was confirmed.

Hyperion’s Involvement In Avengers Might Be Only Because Of Thor

In the comics, Hyperion is an Eternal, who has been a part of Squadron Supreme. A rip-off of the Justice League, the team locked horns with the Avengers of Earth 616.

Amidst the war, Hyperion’s homeworld was destroyed in front of him which led him to settle on Earth 616, where he became an ally to Thor. Hyperion providing a shoulder to Thor after the events of Orignal Sin stripped Thor of his ability to lift Mjolnir

It came as no surprise to see the Vogue covergirl cutting a striking figure on the night after she sacrificed walking the red carpet to spend extra time glamming up for the awards.

Taking to Twitter, she revealed she was running ‘mad late’ for the ceremony, before sadly admitting that by the time she had reached the venue everyone had made their way inside.

But the extra time spent perfecting her look had been worth it in the end, as she turned heads on the stage.

  • Hollywood’s Last True Gentleman? Always do something every time a woman walks into the room.

Hollywood’s Last True Gentleman? Always do something every time a woman walks into the room.

At a time in history when the differences between men and women seem to be intentionally and progressively erased with each passing year, actor Henry Cavill demonstrates that chivalry is not entirely dead with a simple act from a bygone era.

Hollywood's Last True Gentleman? Henry Cavill Always Stands Up Whenever a Woman Enters the Room

He stands up when a lady walks into a room.

Famous for portraying icons like Superman and Geralt (of “The Witcher” fame), the British actor is now taking on a very different kind of hero in the WWII action-comedy “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.”

The film is based on the book “Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII” by Damien Lewis, which chronicles the formation of a covert unit in 1940 on the directive of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to conduct clandestine operations against Nazi forces. Though fictionalized, the film aims to capture the ingenuity and daring spirit embodied by Churchill’s real-life “secret warriors” in their unorthodox campaign against the Nazis, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In a recent interview with THR, the stars of Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film and the director himself discussed the real-life inspirations behind the action-comedy and the dynamics of portraying WWII soldiers.

Despite playing unrefined soldiers, the cast spoke highly of each other’s gentlemanly qualities, especially Cavill’s.

“Henry Cavill stands up whenever a lady walks into the room, and he’s been consistent with that all the way through,” Richie said.

The director added, while turning to Cavill: “I’ve made two movies with him, and I’m in the room with him all the time when I’m making those movies, and you have never failed to stand up when a lady walks in the room.”

Despite being ranked Glamour magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2013, Cavill says he does not like gratuitous sex scenes in movies.

During a February interview with director Matt Vaughn on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Vaughn said that he didn’t direct many sex scenes in movies because he didn’t understand them.

“I also don’t understand them,” Cavill agreed. “I’m not a fan.”

“I think there are circumstances where a sex scene is beneficial to the movie, and rather than just the audience,” Cavill said but added, “I think sometimes they’re overused these days.”

Despite Mixed Reviews, ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Blows Past Expectations: ‘We Are in a Good Position’

“It’s when you have a sense where you’re going, ‘Is this really necessary or is it just people with less clothing on?’” he said.

His character in the film may have used “ungentlemanly” tactics against the Nazis, but it seems like Cavill may be one of the last true gentlemen left in Hollywood.

The simple act of standing up when a woman walks into the room becomes even more meaningful, considering the industry Cavill works in, where women are frequently reduced to objects of lust.

While some may look at such acts of chivalry as somehow diminishing the strength and ability of women, the opposite is actually true.

The Bible refers to women as the “weaker vessel” in 1 Peter 3:7 because God, who created us, intentionally made us different. A crystal vase may be “weaker” than a cast iron pan, but it is in no way less valuable.

A man who is mindful of a woman’s dignity elevates himself as he honors her for the creature God created her to be.

It’s good to know that there are still a few such men in existence.

Exclusive: Witness Henry Cavill Don the Classic Superman Suit for ‘Man of Steel 2’

Instagram fan artist jscomicart presents his version of what Henry Cavill would look like in a more classic Superman costume.

Henry Cavill may be confirmed to be returning as Superman for Man of Steel 2, but that doesn’t mean fans can agree on what his iconic costume should look like when he does.

Going by the tag jscomicart, Instagram fan artist Javier Sanchez posted the above image edited to make the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice star look like he’s wearing something a lot closer to the comics. The artist asked his followers to vote for the kind of costume they’d prefer to see when Cavill returns.

Like more modern screen versions of Superman, Sanchez has his version without the trademark red shorts; though they have been reintroduced in the comics. Meanwhile, his version of Man of Steel 2‘s Henry Cavill sports a much more old school insignia; with a gold outline and a black interior around the S. It doesn’t seem very likely this is the costume we’d get for upcoming Kal-El appearances in the films, but you really never know.

After a too-long five year absence from the big screen as Superman in a DCEU canonical film, Henry Cavill made a cameo as his signature superhero in this year’s Black Adam. After the film’s opening weekend was over, Cavill took to social media to confirm that he was back as Superman for more than just a cameo. Most believe that the near future of his DCEU appearances will include Man of Steel 2.

Thankfully, our own sources were able to confirm for us that Henry Cavill will indeed be making Man of Steel 2. Along with finally giving fans a sequel to the 2013 film that introduced his version of Superman, our sources say the deal Cavill signed also has him committed to appearing in Black Adam 2 and Justice League 2. There are rumors that co-chairman and co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, could be directing Cavill in his next solo outing.

Henry Cavill in Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021)

It will be interesting to see exactly how audiences respond to Henry Cavill’s return in Man of Steel 2. While Cavill is an accomplished actor and certainly looks the part, many fans were unhappy with what they saw as a darker, more brooding take on the character. With filmmaker Zack Snyder no longer involved with the films–or presumably with DC Studios at all–that may change.

While we all wait to hear exactly when we’ll get to see Henry Cavill in Man of Steel 2–in whichever costume he wears–you can see him now as the world’s most famous detective (no, not Batman) in Netflix’s Enola Holmes 2. He’ll also reprise the role of Geralt of Rivia next summer in Season 3 of The Witcher though it will be Cavill’s final season playing the part.

Guy Ritchie Drops a Sweet Fact About Henry Cavill, Making Him Even More of a Gentleman

I don’t date much. I’m more of a relationship guy“. If that statement alone does not scream gentleman, Guy Ritchie’s recent reveal about Henry Cavill surely will. Gatekeeping The Witcher sensation is a thing of the past, especially after his meteoric rise as Superman in 2013. Since then, fans have fallen even deeper in love with him as they have gotten to know his quirks, nerdy passions for epic high-fantasy literature and gaming, and admirable gentlemanly ways.

Now, with this latest piece of information, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare star is becoming even more of a true gentleman.

Guy Ritchie spills on Henry Cavill’s treatment of women

In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, director Guy Ritchie, and actors Henry Cavill, Henry Golding, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and Alex Pettyfer discussed their upcoming film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. During the conversation, the filmmaker shared a charming habit of Cavill. He shared that the 40-year-old always stands up “whenever a lady walks into a room” and has been “consistent” with this gesture since they first crossed paths. However, it is not just the director who has taken note of Cavill’s gentlemanly demeanor.

Even the cast of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is on the same page. Cavill, Golding, Pettyfer, and Tiffin had a chat with ET’s Nischelle Turner last month where they talked about the Argylle actor’s vibe on the sets. “Gentleman is the right word, for sure,” Tiffin spilled about his co-star. To which, Pettyfer added, “He brings a humbleness to the set with everyone”. In fact, Cavill himself acknowledged his gentlemanly persona, albeit in a slightly different context.

Henry Cavill, the quiet type who usually keeps his cards close to his chest, had once hinted at his gentlemanly methods of seduction.

Henry Cavill considers himself to be a “modern gentleman”

Back in February 2009, Henry Cavill let fans peek behind the curtain of his seduction playbook in an Arena magazine article. When the talk veered toward the Art of Seduction, he casually dropped some wisdom about the role of fragrance in attracting someone. According to him, scents have this magical power to stick in our minds. Henry Cavill, taking cues from Mission Impossible, called himself a “modern gentleman“- the type who can charm effortlessly yet remains respectful.

He emphasized the importance of keeping one’s cool without being boring. And when it comes to wooing, he has got a clever strategy: flowers. Instead of playing guessing games, Cavill just asks the lady about her favorite blooms, ensuring he hits the mark every time. With moves like these, it is no wonder fans see him as the epitome of true gentlemanliness.

  • Henry Cavill’s wish doesn’t come true in Justice League

Henry Cavill’s wish doesn’t come true in Justice League

Henry Cavill’s wish to face off against Brainiac sadly did not come true.

Henry Cavil’s tenure as Superman ended on a disappointing note and not in a way fans had hoped. His appearances in Zack Snyder’s films have been divisive, with some loving the dark approach to the character, while others were not able to connect with Snyder’s interpretation.

Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/ Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Cavill’s Superman only managed to fight General Zod, Doomsday, and Steppenwolf in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League, respectively Sadly, one of Cavill’s desires in the DCU did not come to fruition during his tenure as Superman.

Henry Cavill Wanted to Face Off Against Brainiac in a Justice League Film

Henry Cavill mentions Brainiac as a worthy adversary for the Justice Leagu

Henry Cavill debuted in the DCEU with 2013’s Man of Steel directed by Zack Snyder. The film had Cavill’s Superman square off against General Zod in his journey to becoming the earth’s protector and discovering his Kryptonian origin.

During the promotion of the film, Cavill was asked about his experience making the film, how he would like the Justice League to be formed, and who the antagonists should be.

Cavill told Jake Hamilton (on Jake’s Takes) that if he were given the power to map out the future of the Justice League, he would first introduce the characters in their solo movies first and then bring them together to face a major threat. He named Brainiac and Doomsday as villains that will prove as worthy threats to the newly formed Justice League team. He said,

“You have to introduce various characters so it’s not just like BAM, the world’s full of godlike superheroes. You’d have to find themand introduce them through various movies and then bring them together with a major threat that happens, whether that threat would be Doomsday or Brainiac or whatever we don’t know. But there’d have to be a lot of storylines to have the audience be okay with an introduction to say Brainiac or Doomsday.”

Sadly for Cavill, he got to face only one of the two villains that he wanted to face off against. Superman fought Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

His tenure as Superman ended in such a disappointing fashion as WB did not realize and make use of the potential of the character. The Justice League did not get the chance to fight Brainiac, and thus, it remained an unfulfilled dream for Cavill.

Henry Cavill Had to Balance Absurdity and Seriousness for Argylle

Henry Cavill plays a fictional superspy in Argylle

Henry Cavill is coming back to the movie theaters with his latest spy action comedy film Argylle, directed by Matthew Vaughn. The film, which is releasing on February 2, 2024, is a unique take on the spy genre and flips the whole concept, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality.

Cavill and Sam Rockwell represent these aspects from the eyes of Bryce Dallas Howard’s character. Cavill talked about this aspect in an interview with Digital Spy, where he emphasized the importance of striking the right balance between the seriousness and absurdity of the plot as an actor. He said,

“That’s the trick with this one. Argylle is playing it very straight while also keeping in mind that it’s not straight, it’s ridiculous. Its spy tropes turned up to 11. There was a fine line to tread, but because as an actor, you’re not taking yourself too seriously even though your character is, which leads to a whole bunch of fun performance options.”

Unfortunately, the film has received mediocre reviews from critics, and the film’s box office tracking is also not that great. Cavill has another film coming out this year, which is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, where he reunites with Guy Ritchie after 2015’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The film will be released on April 19, 2024.
