He said: “A man asked to take a picture of me then four of his friends crowded round yelling ‘What the f*** are you doing? Why are you having a photo with him – you gay? You queer!”

Markus described the experience as “intimidating” and “upsetting”.

He said: “We left quickly, the fear kicks in. I was shocked.”

Talking about more needing to be done to crack down on homophobic abuse, he said: “It would be a mistake to think it’s over. Things are far from where they need to be.”

Reflecting on his journey, Nicky recalled that, alongside Westlife’s Shane Filan, they have collectively contributed to 15 out of 17 events, missing only the inaugural one. The camaraderie between them has been a consistent highlight throughout the years.

While thise are no public plans for such an event, Nicky hinted at the possibility of a low-key gathising, perhaps a pub dinner. However, he emphasized that any potential reunion would not necessarily translate into regular communication among band members. The past few years have seen each member pursuing individual interests, necessitating some degree of separation.

Recalling their heyday, Nicky reminisced about the whirlwind tours and tight schedules, whise he would often find hisself jet-setting across the globe for performances.

Yet, amidst the glamour, thise were moments of doubt and introspection. he candidly shared an instance when a fellow bandmate questioned the sustainability of their lifestyle during a taxi ride in China, prompting them to ponder their decisions.

The decision to part ways with Westlife was not taken lightly, as Nicky revealed that the band had reached a point of unviability due to internal disagreements and dissatisfaction. Despite the challenges, Nicky stressed the importance of questioning decisions and remaining open to change, a sentiment echoed by his bandmates.

Fast forward to the present, Nicky found hisself in a surreal moment when he introduced Shane Filan on stage during one of his solo performances. This juxtaposition of roles highlighted the evolution of their individual careers, albeit with a tinge of nostalgia for their shared past.

Addressing speculation about a Westlife reunion, Nicky shared a humorous anecdote about Shane’s alter ego, Arnold, playfully deflecting the question.

Speaking about the vest at the show, Stella said: ‘Well, I mean, we’re in a bit of a state here, aren’t we? I always want the platform of Stella McCartney to have an environmental message…
‘I am here to remind people that this is one of the most harmful industries. But I’m not here to make people depressed and scared…
‘I want to celebrate Mother Earth and all of her creatures and to remind us all to be conscious of that, but at the same time, I want it to be an uplifting experience.’
At the time, Stella paired the look with a 90s-appropriate slip skirt and barely-there make-up while the model on Monday wore chaps with the look.

After decades in the entertainment business, the Queen of Country knows how to work a room.

Coach Reba McEntire is indisputably one of the greatest entertainers in the history of country music, and she’s got the trophy case to prove it. The winner of Grammys, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, and so much more, the Queen of Country has also spent years successfully touring the world singing her hits, playing to massive crowds.

    How to Watch

Watch The Voice Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.

But it’s not just the huge stadiums. As she’s proven time and time again in her two seasons as Coach Reba on The Voice so far, McEntire knows how to work a small room too, playing to the show’s studio audience as often as possible. This week, she proved it all over again by leading the crowd in a singalong on Monday night’s show.

Though the contestants become stars in their own right over the course of the season, the constants on The Voice each episode, aside from Host Carson Daly, are the Coaches at the center of the room, and that’s particularly true during the Blind Auditions. These early episodes are parades of new talent coming in and out of the room, drawing all kinds of reactions from the crowd, but in the moments between those auditions, it’s up to the Coaches to keep the energy in the room up through banter, jokes, props, and yes, singing. We see several choreographed live performances from Coaches and special guests during each season of The Voice, but sometimes things just happen spontaneously, and that’s what Episode 3 brought.

Walking back and forth across the stage in between auditions, Coach Reba began to lead the studio audience in her 1994 hit “Why Haven’t I Heard From You,” one of her most enduring country tunes from the triple platinum album, Read My Mind. The audience was more than happy to play along, even doing call and response with the country legend from different sides of the stage.

It was entertaining enough that it could very well have stopped the show entirely, leaving Reba and her fans to sing all night.

  • Exploring the R612 Bunker on Utah Beach, a Silent Sentinel of D-Day

Exploring the R612 Bunker on Utah Beach, a Silent Sentinel of D-Day

Exploring the R612 Bunker on Utah Beach

80 years after the events of D-Day, and Utah Beach is still littered with evidence of that historic event. The coast is lined with vast concrete structures, which have not only endured war, but time. The largest bunker on Utah Beach today is the R612 casemate, an enormous structure with walls up to 2 meters thick!

This bunker is part of the WN10 hardpoint, which engaged American troops as they landed on the shore early on the morning of June 6, 1944. The R612 bunker was hit by naval gun fire, but could not be put out of action.

Today, we are taking you on a tour through this concrete behemoth, where you will see how it works, and what it looks like now.

    Utah Beach

Utah Beach was one of the five beaches selected as the arrival point of the Normandy landings in June 1944. Situated around 20 miles from the port city of Cherbourg, Utah was the most northern beach and one of two, alongside Omaha, assaulted by US forces.

Utah beach was strategically important, as it would enable Allied forces to cut off the Cotentin Peninsula, severing the critically important port of Cherbourg off from the rest of France.

Utah Beach after landing.Men, equipment and supplies after landing on Utah Beach.

Predicting that the beaches of Normandy were a potential Allied landing zone, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel began reinforcing the area with bunkers, troops, barbed wire, mines, beach obstacles and even floods.

Further inland, gun batteries were built; these contained larger guns which, in the event of an invasion, would fire onto the beaches or target enemy ships at sea.

On Utah beach itself, a series of hardpoints were constructed. These were called Widerstandsnest (“resistance nest”), known as “WN” for short, and given a number for identification. The beach’s defences stretched 13 miles from WN1 in the south, to WN21 near Quinéville.

Utah Beach artificial breakwater.Utah Beach after the landings. The line of ships on the left were sunk to create an artificial breakwater.

    WN10 Hardpoint

Slap bang in the middle is WN10, a hardpoint complex near Saint-Martin-de-Varreville. Today it is one of the most complete and extensive defences on the Normandy beaches with around 20 bunkers in a relatively small area.

The fortifications here range from mortar bunkers to machine gun nests, tank-turret bases, and large caliber gun casemates.

These casemates are positioned to enable “enfilading fire”, which is where guns are situated to fire along the line of defense, rather than directly at the enemy.

WN10 bunkers. The Vf (left) and R676 (right) bunkers at WN10. The Vf is the older of the two, but both point along the beach, not out to sea.

Guns in enfilade can cover a much greater area along a front than if they were pointing perpendicular to their line. They also compress a wide target, such as a beach, into a smaller area.

In addition to this, the opening of the bunker cannot be fired upon from the enemy’s own direction of travel, as the side facing them acts as a natural shield. Positions in enfilade are also easier to hide.

On the Atlantic Wall, bunkers in enfilade are positioned to cover each other’s blind spots, or create overlapping fields of fire.

WN10 in September 1944.WN10, as seen on September 15, 1944. Surprisingly little has changed.

WN10 does the same. One of the earliest bunkers here faces to the south and would have once housed a 4.7 cm Skoda gun.

Directly next to it is another R676 4.7 cm Skoda gun bunker that also faces south – this was a newer type built to replace the original.

Bunkers on dunes at WN10.This view shows emplacements positioned on top of the dunes, running along WN10.

A few dozen meters behind the dunes is a mortar bunker, a six-man personnel bunker and a number of tobruks (small, one man bunkers).

Around 200 meters north is the centrepiece of WN10, a large casemate that sits right on the beach on the edge of the dunes.

Although well known locally, this particular bunker is not a popular destination for visitors – even though it’s one of the closest to what people expect of bunkers on the Normandy beaches. This is likely because it is a few kilometers from the more popular Utah Beach Landing Museum area.

R612 casemate bunker. The R612 casemate on Utah Beach.

    Regelbauten 612

This bunker is an R612-type casemate. In the 1930s, Germany created a standardised list of bunker types known as “Regelbauten”, to streamline supply chains and simplify construction. This list contained a variety of bunkers of different sizes, protection levels and layouts to suit a wide range of locations and purposes.

Standardising bunker construction allowed for better allocation of resources, as the required amount of raw materials were already known, and sped up their construction time. This meant that a Regelbau bunker of the same type would be, for the most part, identical, whether they were in Norway or the south of France.

R612 blueprint.Plan drawing of the R612’s layout and wall thickness. Image credit: www.regelbau.dk

The R612 on Utah is a standardised design, indicated by its name: R=Regelbau and 612=the standardised type.

The R612 was a “Ständig” (St) category bunker, this meant its protection levels were between 1.5 meters and 2 meters of concrete. St bunkers could also feature a number of additional defences, including fake vents, gas-proof air ventilation, and stepped openings.

R612 bunkers are of the casemate type, so there is an opening in the front for a large caliber weapon. The bunker is just over 5 meters tall and 15 meters long, and was filled with around 385 m³ of concrete. The concrete is reinforced with 17 tons of rebar to greatly increase its strength.

R612 Utah from above.Top-down view of the R612 bunker on Utah. Note the large wall on the upper right corner – this guards the gun opening against fire coming from the sea.

The armament contained within this type of bunker varied depending on the availability of ammunition or the guns themselves, but they would have ranged from 7.5 cm to 10.5 cm weapons.

It’s layout is rather simple: the firing room is located at the front of the bunker, with an embrasure (opening) for the gun to fire through, two ammunition storage rooms behind this, and a doorway at the rear.

Externally, the main structure of the bunker is a cube, but three of the four corners are extended outward to shield the bunker from different directions. The largest shield is to the left of the gun opening (when looking at the front), this thick wall protected the front of the bunker against protectiles coming from the direction of the sea.

Front of the R612 on Utah. The gun opening is relatively small, and can only be attacked from directly in front as it’s protected by the concrete wall on the left.

    The R612 on Utah Beach

The R612 of WN10 is the biggest bunker on Utah beach, and a perfect example of Germany’s approach to defending the European coastline.

It sits right on the edge of the dunes, facing north along the beach, not out to sea. This is in enfilade, as mentioned earlier, and allowed this bunker to cover a wider area of beach and hit the enemy in the side, all while being protected from naval gunfire.

You’d need to be further north to get a shot into the opening, whether that’s on the beach, or further up the coast on a ship.

R612 bunker doorway. The access doorway at the rear of the bunker. When in service, this would have had two large steel doors. Also, note the damage to the bunker – this likely occurred after D-Day from forces attacking its rear.

Inside, the bunker has quite a simple layout, typical of the 612 type. It has one large chamber, which starts at the rear entrance door and ends at the gun embrasure at the front.

Today the rear entrance is open, but it would have once been sealed by two thick steel doors. The framework for these doors can still be seen.

Entering into the bunker, you are immediately flanked by two ammunition rooms. These could have stored up to 500 rounds of 7.5 cm ammunition.

Inside the bunker.View into the R612, looking toward the gun opening at the front of the bunker. Note the two ammunition rooms either side of the image.

After this you are immediately inside the triangular-shaped “combat room”. This triangle shape gave the gun the maximum lateral movement inside the bunker, while keeping the embrasure relatively small.

In 1944, the combat room would have contained a 7.5cm Feldkanone 38.

There are a number of curved channels on the floor of this room – these meshed with the gun’s mount for different firing positions.

7.5cm Feldkanone 38.This bunker would have contained one of these, a 7.5cm Feldkanone 38, on D-Day.

Also in here are the rusty remains of the ventilation system, which would have once served to extract the gasses from firing the gun out of the bunker.

The outside of the bunker still bares the scars it received on D-Day. The largest of these are on the sea-facing side, and range from 5-inch shell impacts, all the way down to small arms fire.

Impacts on the bunker's side from naval guns.Naval gun impacts on the sea-facing side of the bunker. These hits were likely made by USS Hobson, which fired on WN10 on D-Day.

Despite the power of these naval guns, they did little more than dent the bunker, and did not put it out of action on D-Day.

It also shows how the enfilade position and shielding wall worked exactly as intended, as the vulnerable gun opening could not be hit from the sea.

One interesting feature of this particular bunker is the addition of a defensive machine gun port on the left side. These was not part of the Regelbau 612 design, so this was something planners at the time deemed necessary to add.

R612 Mg Port. The non-standard machine gun port on the left side of the bunker. This was likely added to give the bunker some close-range defense.

    This R612 on D-Day

As a bunker that was center stage of the largest seaborne invasion in history, it naturally had a heavy involvement on that day.

The Allies planned to land troops on two sections of Utah Beach; named Uncle Red and Tare Green, beginning at 6:30 AM. The original location for these sections would have put the troops directly in front of heavily defend WN8 and WN9 hard points.

However, the landing craft carrying the men and equipment in the first wave were pushed south by strong currents, so they actually ended up landing in front of a less-well defended position (the Utah Beach Landing Museum marks this location).

R612 Utah.Period photograph of the R612 on Utah. Note the concrete wall running alongside the bunker – only remnants of this wall remain today.

Theodore Roosevelt Jr., who was in the first wave, requested that the rest of the landings take place here rather than the original location. As a result, WN10 was not likely to have been attacked by assaulting troops immediately, but it still received quite a battering from gunfire.

It seems most of this fire came from USS Hobson, who guided the first wave of landing craft to the beach.

She then began firing at her assigned target of WN9 with her 5 inch guns. She was at such close range that she could see her targets clearly and was firing at them directly.

Hobson then began firing at WN10 at around 7:00AM, so the large impacts on the side of the R612 bunker are likely from Hobson’s 5-inch guns.

USS Hobson DeckExpended cartridge cases on the deck of USS Hobson after firing on Utah Beach, on D-Day. Some of these rounds may have struck this R612,

Despite this, the R612 was not silenced on D-Day.

The crew operating the bunker held out until dark, where they then left under the cover of dark. Not aware of this, American Shermans from the 746th Tank Battalion launched an attack on WN10 in the days following D-Day.

This attack came from the south, behind the bunker, and the evidence of this can still be seen today. There are large amounts of impacts on the rear of the bunker, including holes made by tank rounds. We actually measured these, and they checked out as 75 mm – the caliber used by the Sherman.

WN10 was soon taken by Allied forces.

R612 75 mm round impacts. One of the 75 mm-wide holes in the rear of the R612 bunker. These shots likely came from Shermans of the 746th Tank Battalion, approaching the bunker from the south.

WN10 would have another moment in the spotlight a few months later, as it was the exact location the French 2nd Armored Division, under the command of General Leclerc arrived in France.

Today, this bunker still sits silently, now guarding the coast against erosion, rather than an amphibious invasion. Next to WN10 is a large memorial dedicated to the French 2nd Armored Division. Surrounding this memorial is an M8 Greyhound, an M3 half-track and an M4A2 Sherman.

It’s a great location to visit, as in this one spot you can see a well preserved Widerstandsnest and a handful of famous Second World War vehicles.

Dolly Parton remakes country music classic ‘9 to 5’ with Pitbull as expert warns ‘changing lanes is dangerous’

Dolly Parton originally wrote ‘9 to 5’ for the 1980 movie of the same name, which she also starred in

Country music is having a major moment.

While plenty of music lovers have always enjoyed what the genre has to offer, several people are just beginning to recognize the appeal of country music. Legends like Dolly Parton are collaborating with newer artists, while mega-stars like Beyoncé are throwing their hats into the ring for the first time.

Industry experts spoke to Fox News Digital about why so many artists are making the move to country music, and what they might gain from entering the scene.

Dolly Parton is one of the most beloved country stars of all time, and one of her most well-known hits is “9 to 5,” a song she wrote for the 1980 movie of the same name, which she also starred in. In February, she collaborated with rapper Pitbull to put a new spin on the tune.

Pitbull released “Trackhouse (Daytona 500 Edition),” a collection of seven new songs, on Feb 16. One of them, a track called “Powerful Women,” features Parton. She speaks in the intro to the energetic song, and the chorus from “9 to 5” is featured in its entirety. Later, Parton has a spoken verse about the same subject matter of the original song. She also does the outro along with Pitbull — she gives a shout-out to Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, her co-stars in the film.

While the music is more in line with Pitbull’s typical style, fans of Parton’s original will likely recognize the beat.

David Nathan, co-founder and president of Happy Jack Records, told Fox News Digital, “The shift of artists into country music is about creative exploration, reaching new audiences and a genuine appreciation for the genre’s storytelling tradition and diversity. Additionally, the boundaries between genres have become much more fluid, allowing artists to experiment and blend a multitude of different styles together.”

    Rod Stewart

In February, Rod Stewart said in an interview with The Associated Press that he had a country album in the works.

“I plan on doing it,” he said. “We actually started it. We started making a country album. And I went off and made another solo album, but yeah, it’s in the pipeline. The record company would like me to do it. They don’t push me to do it. You know, there will come a time.”

Stewart’s comments come years after he originally said he wanted to make the album — in 2019, he told Rolling Stone, “I’m trying to put together a country record. Not just country music, but folk music and older stuff I was brought up on. It’s an opportunity to let people hear another side of me.”

He explained, “I want to do songs that aren’t necessarily catchy, but have the most wonderful lyrics. One reason I want to do it is because my wife says she always loves it when I do my acoustic set in concert because she can really hear me sing as opposed to the rock & roll stuff.”

Cliff Oxford, founder of CliffCo., a “business think tank” that serves entrepreneurs, spoke with Fox News Digital and touched on the importance of lyrics in country music, explaining, “Ken Burns’ country music series on PBS removed the stigma of honky tonk down and out to a cult of great storytelling. And some trial balloons worked  — Merle [Haggard] asking Jewel to sing ‘Silver Wings’ and we were like, ’Had he lost his mind?’ They knocked it out of the park.”

    Beyoncé

On Feb. 11, in the midst of Super Bowl Sunday, Beyoncé dropped several teasers for her upcoming album, “Act II,” the follow-up to 2022’s “Renaissance.” Soon after, she released two new songs, and it became clear that she was going country.

The official first single is a song called “Texas Hold ‘Em.” After it was released that Sunday, it managed to land the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, then climbed to the top spot the following week. In doing so, she became the first Black woman to reach the top of the chart with a country song.

While Beyoncé has an undeniable appeal to a wide audience, Nathan told Fox News Digital that the country music scene might offer her something new, saying,”Nashville has a strong sense of community as well, which resonates with both artists and fans.”

The record executive mentioned the singer by name, explaining, “The crossover success of Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Combs, Dan and Shay and most recently Beyoncé has also demonstrated the genres’ ability to embrace diverse influences, making it attractive for artists of all kinds to connect with a much broader fan base.”

    Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey’s music has a unique quality to it, though most of her songs would fall somewhere in the pop or rock genres. At the Billboard x NMPA Songwriter Awards on Jan. 31, the singer announced that she’d be releasing a new album with a new sound.

While onstage to celebrate producer Jack Antonoff, she said, “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.”

Del Rey explained that in September, she’d be releasing a country album titled “Lasso.”

Oxford told Fox News Digital that artists from other genres putting out country music is “really no different than Apple going from computers to phones to watches and electric cars.”

He was to the point when he speculated on the reason why this change has been happening so frequently: “Changing lanes is dangerous territory, so we will see if it works, but we know the why — more fans means more money.”

    Post Malone

Post Malone rose to fame as a rapper, but he’s also following the new trend of going country.

A photo of Post Malone and Luke Combs

On Feb. 15, just days after he wowed the Super Bowl crowd with a stripped down rendition of “America the Beautiful” with his acoustic guitar, he took to Instagram to share a snippet of a new song he’s doing with country music star Luke Combs. He didn’t share a title, but the phrase “Ain’t Got a Guy for That” was repeated, leading some to believe that could be the title.

It isn’t exactly his first experience with the genre — in November, he performed at the 57th annual CMA Awards with Morgan Wallen and HARDY. The group paid tribute to the late singer-songwriter Joe Diffie by performing his song “Pickup Man,” and the next day a version of the same song, billed as “Joe Diffie featuring Post Malone,” was released for streaming.

A photo of Post Malone, Morgan Wallen

In June 2022, Malone told Howard Stern, “To be honest, there’s nothing stopping me from taking a camera or setting up in my studio in Utah and just recording a country album and me just putting it on f—ing YouTube.”

“I’m allowed to do that,” he continued. “I split my time between a lot of different things because I am happily obligated to do concerts and show love to my fans… and then I’m happily obligated to write music and make beats by myself. And I’m happily obligated to, you know, take care of my family. So, it’s a lot of time, and it’s about finding that space to allot that time. If I get another year to myself, maybe I’ll make a f—ing country album.”

After more than ten years since their debut, how are the music careers of the five members of One Direction doing now?

After more than ten years since their debut, the 5 boys are now making their own progress in their solo careers.

One Direction is one of the few successful boybands in the US-UK music market in the first half of the 2010s. Active for only 6 years, the teenage boys came out of the reality TV show X Factor. has sold 36 million records worldwide, owns a series of “huge” hits such as: What Makes You Beatiful, Drag Me Down, Story of My Life,… and a large “army” of fans around the world.

The five members of One Direction on The X-Factor UK stage back in the day.

After temporarily suspending activities in January 2016, each member of the group chose their own direction. On the occasion of March 22, 2020, One Direction’s contract officially expired as well as marking a decade of “storming” for this British boyband, let’s take a look at five boys. What are you doing that day?

    Harry Styles

When talking about One Direction, it’s impossible not to mention the name Harry Styles because right from the time he was active in the group, he was one of the members with the most fans. Therefore, it is completely understandable that the solo career of the 26-year-old male singer is quite favorable. Only 5 months after the group stopped working, he founded his own record label called Erksine Records to release personal music products.

    MV Sign Of The Time.

In May 2017, male singer Sweet Creatures officially released his self-titled debut solo album and lead single Sign Of The Time. Despite the 180-degree change in music style from vibrant pop songs to rock-influenced songs of the 60s and 70s, the album Harry Styles still “gently” debuted at No.1 UK. Album Charts (57,000 copies), No.1 Billboard 200 (230,000 copies), brought a No.4 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and countless compliments from critics. When asked if he regretted his time in the group and wanted to go solo sooner, he answered:

“When someone leaves the group, they’re gone. But that’s not me, I stay. That used to be me. And I don’t feel like I’m ‘stuck’ at all. It used to be fun.”

“When someone leaves the group, they’re gone. But that’s not me, I stay. That used to be me. And I don’t feel like I’m ‘stuck’ at all. It used to be fun.”

After completing Harry Styles: The Tour, in May 2019, he surprised fans when he became the “host” of the biggest fashion event of the year – Met Gala 2019. From the moment Hey, the image of Taylor Swift’s one-time boyfriend has had a dramatic change. From the masculine, dashing image that once made many hearts crazy, we now see a completely different Harry Styles wearing outfits ranging from feminine to genderless, colorful makeup, and The photo set shocked the online community.

The boy we once pursued now wears fishnet stockings and heavy makeup but is still very… handsome.

In December 2019, the Sign of the Times singer returned with his second studio album titled Fine Line and achieved even more success than his debut product both artistically and commercially. In the first week of release, Fine Line quickly sold 478,000 units (including 393,000 pure copies) and excellently brought Harry another No.1 Billboard 200. The song Adore You is currently at number one. 7th place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is expected to continue to increase in the near future. It is no exaggeration to say that Harry Styles has the most successful solo career among the five One Direction members.

    MV Adore You.

    Zayn Malik

Suddenly leaving the group in April 2015, Zayn Malik broke many hearts because from then on, fans will no longer see the five boys standing on a common stage. Even though he hasn’t had any tours yet, in the past five years, Gigi Hadid’s boyfriend has still managed to release two solo albums and a number of successful collaborations with other artists.

    MV PILLOWTALK.

After signing a contract with record label RCA Records, the 27-year-old pop star only took half a year to launch her first solo music project called PILLOWTALK, which quickly became a sensation and climbed straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. Firstly. By March 2016, his R&B debut solo album Mind of Mine was officially released and it was not unexpected to add two No.1s on the album charts in the UK and US with sales. 22,250 and 157,000 copies and 40.8 million online streams, respectively.

    Mind of Mine album cover.

During the period 2016 – 2017, Zayn Malik continuously won with quality combination products that earned hundreds of millions of views on Youtube such as: I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (singing with Taylor Swift), Dusk Till Dawn ( combined with Sia), unfortunately, the glory did not last long. Returning after 2 years of absence, Zayn and his new album titled Icarus Falls have set an extremely “resounding” new record – album sales The worst first week in USUK music history to date. Experts predict that Zayn’s album will sell 15,000 to 20,000 copies in the first week, but only 5,000 pure copies. Releasing 6 singles to promote the album including Let Me, Entertainer, Sour Diesel, Too Much, Fingers and No Candle No Light but none of them became big hits in the market, the new album title really “plays” on the popularity of the album. male singer’s career when he took a painful fall.

Zayn Malik really “fell” after the album Icarus Fall.

Zayn Malik no longer retains the same aura as he did in 2016 – 2017.

    Niall Horan

Although not as successful as his two colleagues, Niall Horan has had relatively steady steps in his career. After spending almost the entire period of 2016 – the second half of 2017 releasing a series of 5 promotional singles, in October 2017, he officially released his debut album titled Ficker with sales in the first week. is about 152,000 units.

On March 13, Niall returned to the music industry with his second studio album Heartbreak Weather. Although he only debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart, the above music product is still enough to stir up the UK market by bringing the male singer another No.1 this year.

    Album Heartbreak Weather.

    Louis Tomlinson

Louis Tomlinson also established a record label called Triple Strings Ltd, but Louis Tomlinson’s activities were quite small. It took 4 years for his debut album with 12 songs called Walls to be released. Unfortunately, the above product only sold a mere 39,000 units in the first week of release, sadly debuting at number 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

    MV Back To You.

During the “break” period, although he did not release a complete album, the father of one child still tried to keep up the heat by releasing many single songs and different combinations. Among them, the most prominent is the hit “Back to You” featuring Bebe Rexha’s vocals, which earned more than 400 million views on Youtube, reaching number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2017. Unfortunately, the team of The guy doesn’t seem to know how to take advantage of the opportunity to bring Louis’ name to a new level.

The name Louis Tomlinson is now quite obscure in the public eye.

    Liam Payne

If we say Louis Tomlison had the lackluster career after leaving the group, people wouldn’t know what words to use to talk about Liam Payne. The male singer did not have a chance to shine when his debut solo song “Strip That Down” which “disparaged” One Direction also created certain effects and even reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

    MV Live Forever.

Unfortunately, the Bedroom Floor vocalist’s subsequent musical products, for some unknown reason, gradually faded away. The extended single (EP) First Time released in 2018 was completely “submerged” on all fronts to the point that many audiences did not even know about its appearance. His debut album LP1, which was just released in December 2019, was even more… “unsightly” when sales in the first week were only 9,500 copies, ranked 111th on the Billboard 200. Not only that, the song The song Both Ways in this album was also “stoned” by the online community when… accused of insulting the bisexual community.

After leaving the group, his beauty became more and more beautiful, but his career… was the opposite.

    Conclude

After a decade of One Direction debuting to the public, there are members who have endured in the harsh entertainment industry and shine even brighter than before; There are also people who gradually become faded as their music careers decline. And you, who do you think is the most successful solo member? Are you still looking forward to the day when all five members reunite and stand on the same stage?
