Chance the Rapper’s 3-Year-Old Daughter Singing the Little Mermaid Will Make Your Day

She’s got the vocal chops already!

Sounds like Chance the Rapper’s daughter already has pipes like her father!

On June 24, Chance uploaded a clip to his official Instagram page of his younger daughter singing a signature tune from Disney’s The Little Mermaid. In the adorable video, 3-year-old Marli sat on her dad’s lap while she belted out “Part of Your World,” and Chance enthusiastically nodded along. How sweet!

“🙌 lp lol” Chance proudly captioned the post, to which This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown responded with some encouraging clapping emojis.

It looks like Chance’s outing with his daughters to see the new remake of the classic princess film in theaters made an impact on the girls. On June 11, the “Cocoa Butter Kisses” singer shared another sweet video of him, Marli, and his other daughter Kensli, 7, getting ready to see the live-action film. In the clip, Chance asked Marli to press a button on her conch necklace, and she began to mimic its noise enthusiastically. (Sounds like she loves to sing already!)

“She’s literally perfect I can’t take it,” Chance affectionately wrote on the video.

Kensli then threw up a peace sign towards the camera while standing next to her sister before they both shouted “Little Mermaid!” with glee.

“Finally going to see The Little Mermaid,” Chance captioned the post, glad to be spending some quality bonding time with his little ones.

Chance and his two daughters have the most adorable relationship. While Chance recently wrapped up his first Season as a Coach on The Voice, he opened up to Access Daily about how his little ones feel about the show.

“They like it; they don’t like me having to go to work, I think. They get a little upset about that, but they like the show. They watched the live [Semi-Final] the other day and my daughter just got, like, a little watch phone, so she kept calling me in between and I’m like, ‘It’s live, I’m literally here right now. But I think, they’re both into music a lot, so they like the idea of, you know, seeing me on stage with a bunch of singers,” he said.

On a recent interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Chance also talked about what music Kensli and Marli like to listen to themselves.

“Yeah, they do like my music. They’re more into, like, Peppa Pig, and their contemporaries,” Chance told Meyers. “But, like, I have a few songs that they’ll listen to. They like a song called ‘Let’s Go on the Run’ a lot.”

The Voice Coach’s youngest son got creative with the unconventional instrument!

Looks like John Legend’s youngest child is already following in his musical footsteps!

On January 29, The Voice Coach’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, shared to Instagram some sweet updates from their happy family of six—including a video of their 7-month-old son, Wren, shaking a bag of chips almost like a musical instrument. How cute!

See the post down later in this article! (Wren is in the fourth slide.)

Wren also showed his fondness for music during Christmas 2023, when Legend shared an adorable moment of the baby sitting on his lap and pressing some piano keys.

Wren was named the Cutest Baby of 2023 by People, and rightfully so. In another interview with People in November 2023, Legend talked about why everyone goes so gaga for their baby boy.

“He smiles so much. That’s our favorite thing about him. He’s such a smiley boy. He just lights up the room, looks like a little Cabbage Patch doll,” he said.

The sweet meaning behind Wren’s name

Baby Wren was born via surrogate in June 2023. Teigen took to her official Instagram page to announce the news, explaining the story behind the newborn’s full name, Wren Alexander Stephens. It turns out his middle name is attributed to the family’s surrogate, Alexandra.

“The first embryo we tried with [Alexandra] didn’t survive, and I will never forget how hard she fought to get ready for a second transfer. How much she gave up of her own body — surgeries to get scar tissue cleared, the mental toll it takes to go through all of that for yourself, much less for other people. Not wanting to rush the process, we took a breath and…we were just patient. I laid around, enjoying the first trimester of my pregnancy, with of course a little bit of fear that isn’t any different from any other expecting couple. As we crept toward the safe zone of my own pregnancy, we were overjoyed to learn Alexandra had become pregnant with a little boy. Our little boy,” Teigen wrote on IG.

She added, “We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra. And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you. Wren Alexander Stephens. Our hearts, and our home, are officially full.”

Nobody knows how to embarrass you like your kids. John Legend just shared the hilarious way his 4-year-old son Miles makes him blush during school drop-off, and it’s so funny.

The “In My Mind” singer appeared on an episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden last week, alongside Jennifer Garner. Host James Corden bonded with the stars over the fact that they all have three kids, prompting Legend to sing, “Three is the magic number.” Then the conversation turned to the special request Legend’s kids make on the way to school.

“When you drive your kids to school, I overhear that they request that you play your own music in the car?” Corden asked. “Ah, c’mon!” Garner exclaimed, making Legend laugh.

“Especially my son,” Legend confirmed. “He’s — literally — my biggest fan.” How cute is that?

“He knows all songs. Not only does he know the songs, he’s like Rainman with the lengths of the songs,” Legend continued. “He remembers how long each song is, and he’s like, ‘Actually, “Green Light” is a little longer than this one, it’s 3:19.’”

Then Corden asked what we’re all thinking: “Have you ever pulled up next to a parent, like in the drop-off line, with your own music blaring out?”

“Yes. And it’s embarrassing,” Legend responds, making the audience laugh. “My kids go to school with, like, Jay-Z’s kids and Beyonce’s kids, and I’m pulling up playing my music loud, and it’s embarrassing, honestly.”

During the first live show of the season, Ruby took the stage to perform an impressive rendition of Reba’s 1990 single “You Lie,” which her coach said during rehearsals that she performed even better than she did.

And the live performance was even better, bringing both Reba and fellow coach Gwen Stefani to tears.

“You blew it out of the water,” she said as she wiped away tears. “Gwen and I are bawling!”

“There hasn’t been a time that you performed on this show that I haven’t gotten goosebumps,” Niall Horan agreed. “You are insane!”

ET spoke with the coaches on the red carpet ahead of the season’s first live show, and all of them marveled at the range of talent they’ve seen on the show this year.

“The talent this year has just been like, across the board — all of our teams are pretty insane,” Niall raved. “The voices that I have this year are just like, some of the best singers I’ve ever heard.”

John agreed, saying, “The depth of the talent this season is better than I’ve ever seen it on this show since I’ve been here.”

“This is my eighth season and I’ve never seen just this level of quality across the board,” he continued. “I’m so impressed with our artists this year.”

“I have some amazing singers, and I think it’s just gonna come down to at this point people start to fall in love with not just the voice, but the person as well,” Gwen shared. “It’s ridiculous this season. I know we say that every season and it always feels like that, but this one has a particularly tall order.”

“I really couldn’t tell you [who might win],” Reba agreed.

David Bowie teaming up with Bing Crosby for a Christmas classic wasn’t on anyone’s bingo card. No one saw Metallica and Lou Reed coming, together. Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue melted minds with a one-off murder ballad in the mid-90s.

Add to the list a “country meets contortion” entry, thanks to Reba McEntire’s performance with Sofie Dossi for the America’s Got Talent results show.

Reba McEntire Performs Duet With Contortionist On 'America's Got Talent'

On Wednesday night (Sept. 20), McEntire and her band rocked their way through “Can’t Even Get The Blues,” with Dossi, a contestant back in season 11, who performed precision acrobatic moves and hair-raising stunts on stage, above it and on the judges table.

The collaboration was a reunion of sorts. It was McEntire, who, as an AGT judge back in 2016, gave Dossi her Golden Buzzer. Dossi, aged just 14 at the time, finished in the top 10 during that run, then returned for America’s Got Talent: The Champions, where she was eliminated in the preliminaries. Now aged 22, Dossi has over 9 million subscribers on YouTube, and a music career of her own (2022’s “Bunny” has more than 7 million plays on YT).

McEntire is buckling in for another long-stint on reality TV. The country icon is joining season 24 of NBC’s The Voice as its new coach. Starting from next Monday (Sept. 25), she’ll be seated next to John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan.

They head into next Wednesday’s final, where they compete with vocal group Mzansi Youth Choir, singers Lavender Darcangelo and Putri Ariani, dance groups Chibi Unity and Murmuration, magician Anna Deguzman, comedian Ahren Belisle, and canine specialists Adrian Stoica & Hurricane.

Will Young Sheldon‘s next season finally give Reba fans what they’ve patiently waited for?

Young Sheldon EP Reveals Why Reba Costars Have Never Shared a Scene — Will It Finally Happen?

Young Sheldon producers are well aware of the potential sitcom reunion on their hands.

For three seasons now, Reba McEntire has recurred on the Big Bang Theory spinoff as hairstylist June Ballard, ex-wife of Craig T. Nelson’s Dale. And from the beginning, fellow Reba vet Melissa Peterman (aka Barbara Jean) has recurred as next-door neighbor Brenda Sparks. June and Brenda have even appeared in the same episode — Season 4’s “A Second Prodigy and the Hottest Tips for Pouty Lips,” in which Brenda received a haircut not unlike Reba Hart — but McEntire and Peterman’s characters still did not cross paths.

    More from TVLine

“They’ve never shared a scene, I know!” executive producer Steve Holland acknowledges with a laugh. “It’s a thing that Melissa reminds us of often. She would love to be in scenes with Reba. Part of the reason Reba’s on the show is because she and Melissa are close friends, and Melissa let us know that Reba was a fan.”

Thursday, Feb. 13: Reba McEntire Guest-Stars on 'Young Sheldon' - Channel Guide Magazine

So, will Young Sheldon‘s next season finally give Reba fans what they’ve patiently waited for? “Reba is a little tricky to get,” Holland warns. “She’s a busy lady,” especially now that she’s a series regular on ABC’s Big Sky. “We’d love to have her more often than we’re able to have her on the show, but I think at some point they’ll share a scene. It was never intentional for us to keep them apart; it’s just the way the stories fell out. I don’t think we realized it, but Melissa realized it and went, ‘Are you ever going to let us be on screen together?’

“I like the idea of potential Internet rumor that there’s a feud going on and we have to keep them apart,” Holland says with a wink. “I’m going to plant that!”

For nearly 50 years, Reba McEntire has been making bank. While primarily a country music singer for the first 15 years of her long-running career, she branched out to movies in the ’90s, Broadway and sitcoms in the 2000s, and judging and coaching on one of television’s most popular singing competition shows in the 2020s.

From her first single, 1976’s “I Don’t Want to Be a One Night Stand” to releasing her breakthrough album, 1984’s My Kind of Country, starring in horror comedy favorite Tremors to her long-running sitcom Reba, playing Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway to being on three of the biggest shows of this decade, Young Sheldon on CBS, Big Sky on ABC and The Voice on NBC, Reba has thrived in the public eye for decades. What’s her net worth?

What is Reba McEntire’s net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Reba’s net worth is $95 million. For someone who’s on a massive network television show, has a sitcom still in syndication, and sold over 75 million records, that amount isn’t at all surprising.

First and foremost, Reba is a country music singer. Over 100 of her singles have charted on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. 25 of those have hit number 1. From her excellent covers, 1990’s “Fancy” and 1991’s “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” to original songs like 1993’s “Does He Love You” and 2001’s “I’m a Survivor” (which you might recognize as the theme song from Reba), she has been able to get country music radio play for over four decades.

Somehow Reba is in more places at the age of 69 than she was at 29.

Reba’s career has definitely not slowed down with age. She’s is on television more than ever. In addition to being seen twice a week on The Voice, she has been acting a bit more, including a role in Big Sky with her current boyfriend Rex Linn. The pair were also seen together in 2023’s Reba McEntire’s The Hammer on Lifetime. The video captured Gwen, 54, preparing a meal while enjoying football Sunday with several friends inside her home.

The Voice judge donned a tight-fitting black tank top with baggy blue sweatpants as she poured uncooked pasta into a pot of boiling water.

She wore her platinum blond hair in a bun and completed her Sunday ensemble with black boots.

Last week, Gwen shared exciting career news about one of her hit songs after angry fans called for her to be fired.

The three-time Grammy winner posted a video clip from her music video for the 2014 song, Baby Don’t Lie.

The clip showed the star singing and dancing to a section of the song surrounded by background dancers with a technicolor effect.

She was dressed in a tight white shirt covered in dots and a pair of matching black pants that showed off her toned figure.

The star had a face full of makeup with a red lip and her blond hair curled and cut short.

Gwen captioned the post: “‘Baby Don’t Lie’ is officially RIAA Certified Gold. All thanks to the best fans in the world! You love Gwen good, no lie.”

Fans flooded the comments with admiration for her achievement.

    One wrote: “You go Gwen.”

Another said: “One of my fav.”

Someone commented: “I love this song and the video!”

Another left several heart emojis and wrote: “Congrats Gwen.”

The Hollaback singer also reposted the clip to her Instagram Stories and wrote: “Wow!!! Thank u to the best fans.”

She also left star-eyed and prayer hands emojis.

    CRITIC’S CORNER

Gwen’s gold record announcement followed her receiving harsh criticism from fans due to her judging style on The Voice.

Critics were outspoken in their dislike of the singer’s apparent indecisiveness.

During last Monday’s episode of the singing competition, viewers watched as judges were forced to pit two of their team members against one another.

Judges then had to decide which they would choose, which they struggled with.

Gwen, in particular, appeared to have a hard time choosing who she wanted to dub victorious and it frustrated some The Voice viewers.

One critic complained on X, formerly Twitter: “Sick of Gwen never making a choice, didn’t miss her at all.”

The award-winning musician returned to the show in Season 24 after taking some time away.

While her fans are thrilled to have her back on the stage, others would rather she stayed away.

Gwen’s return comes after her husband Blake Shelton stepped back from his position on The Voice.

    NEW CAREER?

This isn’t the only exciting career news Gwen has announced recently.

The Voice judge revealed that she will be headlining Cali Vibes Fest in Long Beach, California.

She shared the news on her social media by posting the festival’s animated poster.

Shaggy, 55, Ice Cube, 54, and Wiz Khalifa, 36, are just a few of the big names chosen to take the stage during the three-day festival.

    Gwen’s captioned the post: “SOCAL!

“Can’t wait to sing with you Saturday, Feb 17th at @calivibesfest!”

Her single, Let Me Reintroduce Myself, could be heard playing in the background.

The Cali Vibes Instagram account replied in the comments with: “Welcome to Vibes! We’re all so excited to have you!”

Her fans sent congratulatory messages in the comments, with one writing: “Got my ticket! I even already bought my outfit! Hahaha! Can’t wait! See you in February!”

“Oh! You already know I’m coming!” a second wrote.

A third chimed in: “I bet she’s gonna bring Blake out!”
