The Voice fans slam ‘inappropriate’ Blake Shelton over his NSFW comment to new coach Camila Cabello during wild premiere

THE Voice fans have slammed Blake Shelton for making a NSFW comment to Camila Cabello during the show’s wild season 22 premiere on Monday.

The former Fifth Harmony member, 25, has only just joined as a new coach, while the country star, 46, has been part of the series since it debuted in 2011.

A short while into the premiere episode, Blake interrupted Camila’s confessional interview backstage with some fighting words – some of them NSFW.
Proving how competitive he is, the country crooner tried to throw the new coach off her game by not only surprising her backstage but also by doing so with some strange comments.
He went after Camila’s ensemble for her first day, which was a black dress with a puffy-sleeved blouse underneath, and a large pink flower pinned at the neck of the top.
After Camila told Blake that she was telling the cameraman all about her tricks to win, he sarcastically joked: “Is it your puffy sleeves? Is that a pirate shirt?”

She just went with it and said: “Arghh!”
Where he went next with his comments, she had trouble getting anything out aside from her shocked laughter.
“Does your flower squirt? Is it a squirty flower,” he asked, realizing a little bit after he said it, and after she started chuckling, that his remark was quite the sexual innuendo.
Blake added: “Sounds weird when I say it like that. Almost inappropriate, disgusting.”
Still laughing, but now pointing at him and looking a little uncomfortable, she told him: “That’s what I was gonna say. Very inappropriate.”

After the awkward NSFW encounter, he just told her, “OK, continue on,” and hurried away.
    FOUL FLOWER
Fans on Twitter were not happy with Blake’s squirting flower comment.
One fan was unimpressed: “Squirting jokes? Really?”
This fan thought it was uncalled for: “squirting flower sounds super inappropriate from Blake”
Another user called it creepy: “Blake, talking about squirting flowers in just creepy.”

This Twitter user agreed: ““Does your flower squirt?”  Um WTF? That was disgusting!”
Another fan said: “Tell me Blake didn’t just ask Camilia if her  “flower squirts”!!!?”
    SHOW CHANGES
Last week, judge John Legend teased there are a few key changes to the show this season.
While appearing alongside his costars — Gwen Stefani, Blake, and Camila – on The TODAY Show, he dished all about the switches happening on The Voice.

Host Hoda Kotb asked: “So, is this year different because we are used to seeing guest coaches, you bring in all kinds of things.
“How is this year, John, different than years past?”
That’s when John revealed: “Well, we are going to have a really special three-way knockout that we are going to have this season.
    “Which we’ve never done before.”
    Hoda asked: “What is that?”
“So, normally our knockouts are one-on-one, but this year we are doing threes each knockout, and we have to choose between them so that’s pretty crazy,” John explained.
The coach said that they can only choose one in the end though.
Hoda also welcomed newcomer, Camila, to the show and talked about Blake’s success.

She spoke with Gwen a bit about being married to Blake and being on the show together as husband and wife.
Gwen’s marital status isn’t the only thing that’s changed for her, as fans have noticed that her face has seemed to change over the years, as well.
After the superstar shared a clip from The Voice on her social media, followers began commenting on her different appearance.
One said: “So love Gwen, but stop messing with your eyes. They are disappearing.”

Another critic noted: “It looks like she got a facelift or something.”
A third agreed and added: ” I don’t like it! What did you do to your face!?!”
“Wish she would stop having work done on her face,” one user chimed in.
Another critic claimed: “Oh no! She got botox, and you can tell. You can barely see her eyes now!”

The Voice continues with part two of its premiere on Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.

During Monday’s episode of The Voice, Blake was the only coach to not turn his chair around for contestant Raquel Trinidad.
While speaking to the contestant, the 45-year-old encouraged Raquel to choose Ariana, 28, over Kelly Clarkson, 39, and John Legend, 42.
After sharing that he wanted to help Raquel “choose Ariana” as her coach, Blake said: “I don’t want to see you end up with two coached that are jaded and have been here for a while.
“They’ve proven season after season that they can’t win.”
Blake’s argument seemed to make sense to Raquel, who eventually chose Ariana as her coach.

While the contestant was convinced by Blake’s arguments, viewers didn’t find his praise for the pop star quite so charming.
While taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “I’m going to watch something else if I have to hear all of this nonsense coming from Blake. It’s getting old!”
Another added: “Blake is so petty…”
A third chimed in: “What’s with Blake being extra nice. I’m suspicious!!!
Others shared their thoughts behind Blake’s motives, with one person writing: “Blake is trying not to get blocked by Ariana that’s why he’s sucking up to her.”

An additional viewer wrote: “BLAKE BEING EXTRA NICE RIGHT NOW IS CONCERNING.”
One Twitter user pointed out that a lot of Ariana’s fan base is watching the competition show specifically for her, writing: “Blake realizes the only reason a lot of us are watching #TheVoice this season is for Ari, right?”
    ‘JEALOUS’ BLAKE
Blake praised Ariana shortly after the Positions singer slammed him for being jealous.
While appearing on Kelly’s daytime talk show last week, Ariana received a warm welcome for the audience.

“This is what it sounds like on The Voice when the coaches are coming out. That’s what it’s supposed to sound like for all of us,” Kelly confessed.
Ariana interjected and said: “Blake gets so pissed,” as Kelly joked, “Blake was like ‘I don’t want to follow her anymore.’”
    NEW COACH
The Victorious alum announced back in March that she would be one of the four judges, opposite Kelly, John and Blake.
Ariana tweeted the big news at the time: “surprise !!! i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice! @nickjonas we will miss you.”

Previous coach Nick Jonas saluted his replacement, writing: “Congrats @ArianaGrande ! You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family.”
The Jonas Brothers member previously took over from coach Gwen Stefani, 51, from the season before.

During last night’s episode of The Voice, contestant Keegan Ferrell auditioned with the song She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5.
In the end, Blake and Kelly turned around and battled it out to get Keegan on his team.
However, Blake used his friendship with Adam to try and get Keegan on his team.
The country star said: “First of all, I happen to be buddies with the guy who wrote and sang that song, and I want you to look, for just a second, at this coaching panel.

Despite Kelly protesting and saying she had nothing to do with Adam leaving, Blake continued: “This network stands for Nothing But Clarkson. If Maroon 5 inspires you, I don’t know that I would pick a coach who is their arch-nemesis.”
The other judges – John Legend and Nick Jonas – also ganged up against the mom of two.
“See what I heard was that Blake and John approved of me coming into the show but Kelly had the last word,” Nick said.

“They’re all liars!” Kelly yelled before adding that she toured with Maroon 5 which proved her friendship with the family man.

The Sugar singer, who won three seasons of the show, thanked the “loyal” fans of the show as he wrote: “There’s literally no show without you guys. For me, it was time to move on. Your support has meant EVERYTHING… What an amazing ride. Thank you all so much.”
No longer appearing on the show has given Adam more time to focus on his marriage and raising his kids.

Blake, 43, filmed from his ranch in his home state of Oklahoma and got ready with the help of his pop star girlfriend.

“I just had the most expensive hair and makeup person on the planet just do that for me. Gwen Stefani – so I hope I look appropriate for this thing,” the country singer said.

Teigen’s cute video comes after she announced she welcomed Wren with the help of a “loving” and “compassionate” surrogate on June 19.

“I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love,” Teigen wrote on Instagram.

Shortly after he arrived, Teigen shared a cute video of Wren burping while being swaddled in a blanket.

“The hair. simple plan is shaking,” she captioned the clip, referencing the punk rock band Simple Plan.

After taking a look at the video, the band’s official Instagram account adorably commented, “Can confirm…that hair is pop-punk perfection! 🤩🤘Congratulations! ❤️.”

‘The Voice’ feud heats up as Blake Shelton lashes out at John Legend over Bodie: ‘Stop pushing your button when I push my button!’ [WATCH]

On Monday’s fifth episode of “The Voice” Season 22, viewers will be introduced to Bodie, a 29-year-old singer from Ladera Ranch, California. All four coaches — Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello — are so impressed with his cover of The Fray‘s “You Found Me” that they push their buttons, making him the latest four-chair turn contestant. But Blake has some choice words for John when they turn their chairs around at essentially the same time. Watch “The Voice” sneak peek video above.

“Stop pushing your button when I push my button!” Blake loudly exclaims. John giggles in response. So far this season, there have been seven four-chair turns (Morgan Myles, Omar Jose Cardona, Orlando Mendez, Kevin Hawkins, Andrew Igbokidi, Morgan Taylor and Parijita Bastola) but Blake has only acquired one, Kevin, for his team. To compare, John has nabbed three already: Omar, Morgan and Parijita. Hmm, do we have ourselves a new “The Voice” feud?

The Voice: Blake Shelton and John Legend Spoof 'The Odd Couple'

Remember, earlier in the season, Blake noted how he’s feuded with everyone who’s been seated in the chair furthest away from him. First it was Adam Levine (Seasons 1-16), then it was Kelly Clarkson (Seasons 17-21), and now it appears to be John.

“I think I hit my button first,” Blake tells Bodie. “I never play that card, but John says it all the time, and he gets everybody on his team, so I hit my button first, okay?”

John smiles while conceding, “He hit it first. He did.” For the record, we re-checked the tape and John’s button push was approximately one second after Blake’s.

John Legend Says Blake Shelton Won't Coach The Voice Again, But [Spoiler] Might | NBC Insider

When it’s time for the coaches to try to woo the bleach-blond artist onto their teams, “Grandpa” Blake butters him up by calling his voice “incredible.” He adds, “We seem to have more rock-sounding artists auditioning this year, you know? … I love rock. I just can hardly ever get anybody [from that genre] to be on my team.”

“Bodie, your vocal presence was just so robust,” John begins, “and you put a certain amount of soul on it that was so cool and such a different take. It shows that you’re a really interesting artist because you’re taking this song in a different genre and giving it your own personal stamp. I thought that was super cool.”

Find out which team Bodie decides to join when “The Voice” airs Monday, October 3 on NBC.

John says spouse, which is the number 2 answer, and Lisa doesn’t answer, so John plays.
Chrissy answers ‘a test,’ which is the #1 answer, and as she runs around to celebrate, which Harvey scoffs at, saying, ‘It’s just one answer.’
‘It’s the little things, Steve,’ she says, still giddy, as the game continues with Pepper saying, ‘Drinking,’ which is their first strike.

Ron says ‘taxes,’ which is the #3 answer, but Tina Teigen gives the family their second strike with her incorrect response, ‘dating profiles.’
It comes back to John, who insists, ‘I don’t know the answer…. I don’t have an answer….’ – but he ultimately says ‘Diet’ and its the #4 answer.
His wife Chrissy, on the other hand, doesn’t have an answer, with Steve chiding her for ‘cussing him out for not having an answer.’

When Tom Sandoval goes up against Chrissy Teigen, Teigen interrupts things to ask how people cheat at their job.

‘What the hell are you all talking about? I like Family Feud with regular-a** people, this is out of hand.’
The question for this round is, ‘Name something Steve Harvey might use to disguise himself in public,’ with Tom Sandoval guessing, ‘a wig,’ the #1 answer.
Ariana Madix says he’d ‘shave the mustache,’ but Steve says that would never happen, and the answer gives them the first strike, with Ariana saying, ‘This is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.’

Regular people: ‘What the hell are you all talking about? I like Family Feud with regular-a** people, this is out of hand,’ Harvey said
Kate Maloney-Schwartz said, ‘a hat,’ which is the number two answer, while Tom Schwartz’s guess of ‘sunglasses’ is the #6 answer.
When it gets back to Lisa, she guesses Harvey would dress up in drag, but that gives the family their second strike but they redeem themselves with three straight correct answers, ‘beard’ (#3), ‘a trench coat’ (#6) and ‘mask (#4). for the win.
While they were down 190-0, Team Legend came back to win the third game, which was a question most couldn’t answer – ‘Tell me a popular candy a man might nickname his wife’s bottom’
Pepper’s answer of ‘Tootsie Roll’ was the #2 answer, but every other guess was wrong, including Lisa’s steal attempt of Juicy Fruit.
When the answers are revealed (#5 Whopper, #4 Butterfinger #3 Sweet Tart #1 Mounds), John asks, ‘Who are these people?’
But despite a short-lived comeback, Team Vanderpump won the game, with Katie and Tom successfully answering enough questions right in the fast money round to win $25,000 for the Vanderpump Dog Foundation.

Blake Shelton will officially take on a new role when he marries fiancée Gwen Stefani – that of step-father to her three boys.

Gwen, 51, is a mum to sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and six-year-old Apollo from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale.

And in a new interview this week, country singer Blake, 44, reflected on his responsibilities to the boys following the start of their romance in 2015.

“There’s definitely nothing easy about it,” The Voice star said during an appearance on radio show The Ride with Kimo & Heather. “I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual biological parent, you know?”

But the star revealed he has the perfect role model to follow. “I love my stepfather, and I looked up to him. And he’s like a father to me,” he said. “So, you know, I have a good inspiration in my life to how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be.”

While Blake clearly takes his role within the family seriously, he also focuses on having fun with the boys.

“I’m not gonna lie. I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am,” he continued. “Especially, you know, now that we’re five years into this thing, I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”

Gwen and ex Gavin have been successfully co-parenting their children since their split in 2015; their divorce was finalised in April the following year.

The British rocker previously told People magazine that he is always looking for ways “to be a better father” and that over the last few years he’s learned a lot about parenting.

It also helps he thinks his children are pretty fun to be around.

“My kids are really funny and cool, and we have such a good time together,” he said. “But I constantly strive to be a better father. I am lucky that my life is so great.”
