John Legend breaks his silence on wife Chrissy Teigen’s ‘bullying’ scandal

The couple have been married since 2013

John Legend’s wife Chrissy Teigen has been keeping a low profile in recent weeks following allegations of online bullying in the past.

Earlier this week, the model issued a statement apologising for her actions, telling fans: “Not a day, not a single moment has passed where I haven’t felt the crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past.”

She continued, in part: “There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets. My targets didn’t deserve them. No one does. Many of them needed empathy, kindness, understanding and support, not my meanness masquerading as a kind of casual, edgy humor. I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry.”

And now Chrissy’s husband has broken his silence after he was approached by a journalist on Tuesday. As he walked to his car, John was asked by TMZ how Chrissy is doing.

John and Chrissy have been married since September 2013

Without hesitation, the All of Me singer said with a smile, “She’s doing great.”

John, 42, and Chrissy, 35, first met in 2006 when she was cast in the music video for his single Stereo. They got engaged in December 2011 and were married in Como, Italy in September 2013.

In April 2016, they welcomed daughter Luna, now five, followed by son Miles in May 2018. In August 2020 they announced that they were expecting a third child, a baby boy, but the following month Chrissy tragically lost the unborn baby.

In a 2019 interview with Vanity Fair, John described himself as Chrissy’s “biggest cheerleader”. Of their relationship, he added: “It got serious pretty quickly. She just entertained the hell out of me, texting me. What people respond to in her tweets today was the same energy in those texts. I didn’t know that I wanted someone funny until I was actually with someone funny.”

Hollywood heartthrob is unrecognisable as he is seen on set of Prince Naseem Hamed biopic Giant for the first time

Pierce Brosnan looked worlds away from his 007 days as he was seen on set of the Prince Naseem Hamed biopic Giant for the first time on Tuesday.

The actor, 70, has undergone a dramatic transformation to play the boxing great’s trainer Brendan Ingle.

Pierce’s usual impressive quiff of silver hair was hidden under a wig of white hair which was receding at the crown and was combed over.

The Hollywood star’s signature slick suits for his role as Bond were long gone as he stepped out in a blue Adidas tracksuit and a pair of spectacles in Yorkshire.

Pierce got into the fighting spirit as he curled his fists up to the camera before filming scenes.

The film is being executive produced by Rocky star Sylvester Stallone and written and directed by Rowan Athale, while Amir El-Masry, 33, takes on the role of Prince Naseem.

Amir is a British-Egyptian actor who won Best Young Actor at the Egyptian Oscars in 2009 and is known for his roles in Jon Stewart’s directorial debut, Rosewater, the multi award-winning series The Night Manager and the BAFTA-nominated The State.

Giant will tell the compelling true-life story of British-Yemeni boxer and his rags to riches ascent in the tough working-class streets of Sheffield and his discovery by Brendan, himself a steel industry worker turned boxing trainer.

The film will see the boxer become a world champion under the management of the Irish-born boxing trainer.

Brendan and Prince Naseem’s unlikely partnership along with Naz’s unorthodox style, cocky persona and sheer dominance in the ring, propelled them to the top of boxing’s elite and unprecedented levels of stardom, all in the face of racism in the 80’s and 90’s in Britain.

AGC Studios Chairman and CEO Stuart Ford said in a statement: ‘Since commissioning Rowan to write the brilliant screenplay for ‘Giant’ several years ago, we’ve been passionate about bringing this extraordinary story to the big screen.

‘Amir and Pierce will make a powerful lead duo and it’s exciting that Zygi and his team at True Brit, with their outstanding career track record in launching the best of British film to audiences, believe as fervently as we do in ‘Giant’s cinematic potential.’

Boxing trainer Brendan died at the age of 77 in 2018. The Irishman set up the famous Wincobank gym in Sheffield, guiding the likes of ‘Prince’ Naseem, Johnny Nelson and Junior Witter to world championships.

As a boxer he competed 34 times with a record of 19-14, but later made his name as a trainer and manager and was renowned for his famous footwork drills in the Sheffield gym.

He mentored Naseem from the age of seven and the two captured multiple featherweight world championships, while Johnny became a WBO cruiserweight title holder and Witter a former WBC light-welterweight champion.

In 1998, Ingle was awarded an MBE for his service to working with young people in the Sheffield area and British boxing. He also has an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University, where he has previously lectured.

Elliot Page shares poignant message about trans journey as he receives prestigious honour

Elliot Page reveals he found ‘hope’ in his trans journey in emotional speech as he is honored at Time 100 event

Elliot Page was celebrated as one of Time’s 100 Summit in New York City this week  where he gave an emotional speech about his journey to coming out as trans.

The Juno star, 37, looked stylish in a black button-down shirt and black skinny pants.

As he took the stage, he looked animated and eager to tell the story of how he found hope in his trans journey.

It’s been three years since The Umbrella Academy actor came out as a transgender man.

And it was the showrunner of that show, Steve Blackman, who helped Elliot in the early days of coming out.

Elliot Page was celebrated as one of Time's 100 Summit in New York City this week

‘I called him nervously and he was incredible,’ Page told Time.

‘If anything, he was the one who was very insistent on immediately having it be a part of the show and supported me to be able to access the care I was hoping to get at that time.’

Blackman worked with Page and the writers to weave a gender transition into Elliot’s Umbrella Academy character.

Elliot also said that Hollywood has a ‘lack of representation for trans people,’ but he looks forward to being able to tackle varied roles and stories now that he’s transitioned.

To get to start from the foundation of just being there is so thrilling,’ Page said.

It hasn’t always been easy, but Page has found joy in writing and hope in his community.

‘So much of my mind had been occupied by unhealthy, toxic thinking and now I have the space where my consciousness is just like flowing,’ he said about writing.

Elliot used to suffer panic attacks from the stress of masking who he really was but now he finds hope in his community and in living authentically.

‘Hope for me is for those who continuously resist and support each other.’

Page said that he knew from the age of four that he should have been born male

Page's most notable role was in 2007's Juno - which earned him an Oscar nomination

Previously, Elliot said he knew he shouldn’t have been born a girl by the time he turned four.

‘I went to the YMCA preschool in downtown Halifax, on South Park Street across from the Public Gardens,’ he recounted in his memoir Page Boy.

‘Primarily, I understood that I wasn’t a girl. Not in a conscious sense, but in a pure sense, uncontaminated.

Kylie Jenner responds to Timothee Chalemet pregnancy rumours with VERY telling new pics

Her tummy looked flat and toned with no sign of a baby bump which dispelled rumours she is expecting a baby child with her 28-year-old boyfriend

Kylie Jenner shared new videos to her Insta Stories on Thursday evening.
The 26-year-old star pulled up her white crop top from her brand Khy as she modeled high-waisted acid-washed blue denim jeans.
    Timothee Chalamet.
The icon wore both the white top with jeans and also a dark top with matching bottoms.
In both clips, she looked far from pregnant.
The billionaire already has two children with 32-year-old Astroworld rapper Travis Scott: they are Stormi, six, and Aire.

The pregnancy chatter was started by comedian Daniel Tosh earlier this month.
‘Kylie is not pregnant,’ insiders told Us Weekly about the mom-of-two
The sources also confirmed that Kylie and Timothee are ‘still dating’ and navigating a long distance relationship, despite rumors that they split.
‘Kylie and Timothee have been keeping in touch while he’s been in [Manhattan] filming and are still together,’ the insider stated.
Kylie currently lives in California with her kids while Timothee has been busy shooting A Complete Unknown — a biopic about Bob Dylan — in New York City and New Jersey.
The pregnancy rumors took off earlier this month when Tosh, 48, made the claim on his Tosh Show podcast.
‘Here’s something crazy. I went to the grocery store in Malibu, and I was talking to an employee there. I try to avoid it but I was talking to this guy, and I said, “Why were you guys closed yesterday?”‘
‘”Well I’m not supposed to discuss it,”‘ Tosh claims the worker responded, alleging the Kardashian-Jenner crew were filming the Season 5 finale of their show at the store.

‘Spoiler alert. This random grocery store person is telling me that they rented out the entire store, shut it down and then, they acted like they were grocery shopping.
‘This was the scene that apparently happened — Kylie reveals that she’s pregnant again with Timothee’s kid. What a bombshell,’ he added.
Tosh added that he wasn’t validating the story: ‘I’m not verifying anything. This is what an employee at a grocery store in Malibu told me.’
Kylie and Timothee were first linked in April 2023, four months before making their public debut at Beyoncé’s birthday Renaissance concert in Los Angeles in August.

Kylie hasn’t been pictured with Chalamet since they packed on the PDA at the Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on January 7.
In March insiders confirmed to DailyMail.com that the duo were still dating, despite fears that the couple may have called it quits.
At the time insiders claimed the smitten duo have deliberately taken a step back from the limelight to ‘protect’ their relationship – and because Timothee was uncomfortable with the coverage of their kiss at the Golden Globes and feared it could distract from his new film, Dune 2.
‘Timothee didn’t like all the attention he got with Kylie during the Golden Globes and their kiss took away from the reason he was there,’ a source told DailyMail.com.
‘His career is taking off and he wants to protect it and let it thrive based on his talent – not who he is or isn’t dating. He also wants to protect his relationship with Kylie.’
The insider continued: ‘They are still dating. But Timothee has decided to keep a low profile with Kylie, mainly because he wants Dune 2 to get all the attention and for the movie to speak for itself.
They added that Kylie has been completely understanding.
‘She knows that he thinks the world of her, and she gets the person that he is personally and the person he wants to be professionally,’ they said.

‘Maybe a year from now when Dune 2 starts getting nominated for things, he will be more relaxed about being out with her and attending more red carpets together.
‘But as of now, he is keeping the relationship close to his chest and Kylie is fine with that.’
A second source added that the star is enjoying the privacy and claimed the reality star sees a real future with Timothee.
‘Kylie family feel she is a much more humble and real person when she is around Timothee,’ the insider said. ‘She loves him so much and she’s said she believes he is the one.’
In January a source told Us Weekly that everything was going ‘great’ between the pair. ‘They both have really busy schedules but make as much time for each other as possible.’
‘Timothee is always making Kylie smile. They have a very special connection,’ the insider added.
‘They have a ton of mutual friends and they like the same music. They also have a similar sense of humor,’ another source added.
‘Timothee’s always making Kylie laugh, and she can’t stop smiling when she’s with him. Obviously, there’s a physical attraction there, but they also connect on a deeper level.’
Timothee and Kylie were reportedly first acquainted after meeting up at Paris Fashion week in January 2023, around the time she split from Travis.
But it wasn’t until April of that year that rumors of a relationship began flying when Kylie’s recognizable black SUV was seen at Timothee’s home in Beverly Hills.
They were reported to be officially dating by the end of the month, though they tried to keep the details of their relationship under the radar.
DailyMail.com obtained photos of the two arriving separately in their own cars to the actor’s home on June 1, suggesting that things were heating up between the two.
They were the subject of breakup rumors back in August, before making their public debut one month later at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in Los Angeles. They followed it up with a trip to the US Open later that month.
When Timothée went on to host Saturday Night Live in November, Kylie reposted a promo for the episode, which is as close as she has come to publicly speaking about the relationship.
Things seemed to be getting serious by December 2023, when People reported that Kylie was now calling Timothée her ‘boyfriend.’
The two showed off more affection in January when they put on a loved-up display at the Golden Globes.
Though they sat together at the same table, they opted not to walk the red carpet together.

Reba McEntire Hits Historic Milestone Thanks to the ACM Awards, Takes Trip Down Memory Lane

When it comes to country music icons, there are few who compare to Reba McEntire. Outside of coaching on The Voice, the singer received the title of the Queen of Country. And there is a good reason for that since she landed 100 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Song chart. Releasing over 30 albums throughout her time in the spotlight, Reba gained entry into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. She even received the Kennedy Center Honor for her contributions to music. Although spending nearly 50 years in country music, it appears that Reba is still making history as she will host the ACM Awards for the 17th time.

Over the years, the ACM Awards welcomed several stars like Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Loretta Lynn to host. And while each did a great job, nobody comes close to Reba. With the country star once again hosting the awards, she said, “I am tickled to pieces to get to host the ACM Awards for the 17th time! What an honor to have been part of the past, present and now the future of the Academy of Country Music with Amazon Prime Video. I can’t wait to get to Texas and see everybody May 16th!”

‘The Voice’: Reba McEntire and Anthony Ramos Share What Made Them Emotional in the Playoffs (Exclusive)

The country legend and ‘In the Heights’ star spoke with ET about their most emotional moments in the ‘Voice’ Playoff Rounds.

Reba McEntire will be joined by her team’s celebrity mentor for the Playoff Rounds on Monday’s The Voice — and she couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Anthony Ramos to the singing competition!

The Voice': Reba McEntire and Anthony Ramos Share What Made Them Emotional in the Playoffs (Exclusive) | Entertainment Tonight

The In the Heights star may, at first, seem like an unusual pairing for the country music legend, but Reba raved to ET that Anthony’s versatility makes him the perfect choice to help her coach her remaining five team members.

“He has done it all,” she marveled. “Broadway, television, tours, recording, it’s an all-around package.”

“He knows how to interpret a song. He knows what the audience wants. He knows what an entertainer needs to do on stage to make sure the audience has a wonderful time. And I just got a big kick out of sitting beside him and listening to him,” she continued. “Talk to all my team. It was a huge blessing for them.”

For Anthony, stepping into the mentorship role was “amazing,” as he described the behind-the-scenes work as “the most special part of making art… It was a gift for me to just sit there and receive that.”

And he couldn’t have been more inspired having Reba by his side as he helped to coach the hopeful singers.

“She gets to the heart of the artists… She just gives the artists this space to really find it themselves,” he said, telling his fellow coach, “That was such an amazing thing that I learned from you today… seeing how much room you gave them to grow in the moment.”

With remaining team members Josh Sanders, L. Rodgers, Asher HaVon, Jackie Romeo, Justin & Jeremy Garcia, Reba believes she’s got a “versatile” group of singers as she heads into the Playoffs — where she’ll have to cut the team down to three.

“I feel really confident with my team,” she praised. “I think they’re strong. They have grown so much.”

“Everybody’s got this deep story,” Anthony agreed. “Their personal stories give this extra layer to the songs that I think people are gonna really resonate with. It’s gonna be hard to beat.”

While neither of them could pick a frontrunner, Anthony did admit that there’s one — or rather, two — Team Reba competitors that especially tugged at his heartstrings.

“Seeing Justin and Jeremy singing together was really special for me,” he shared. “My brother is here with me, and we get to work together all the time. Seeing these two brothers on stage, get to perform — especially them being 17 years old…Being able to have this moment together, seeing them just let it loose… that was crazy.”

Anthony was also able to lend some active real-world experience, as he is currently working on new music, following his 2021 album, Love and Lies.

“I’ve been working with a lot of artists in Miami and a lot of collaborators after I moved down,” he shared. “Being Puerto Rican and being out there with people from all over the world — but specifically people from Latin America and the Caribbean — I really was like, ‘Yo, this is where I want to take people on this next vibe.’”

“We sing in English, we sing in Spanish, but all the songs are personal and all the songs are about my life,” he added. “This album feels like it’s about to be the most special one I put out, honestly.”

So, is there a possible collab with his Voice coach, Reba?

“‘The Heart of It,’” Anthony said of a potential song title. “I just think that’s the way Reba leads… That’s how I felt sitting next to you. I’m like, ‘Yo, she gets to the heart of it.’”

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. PT/ET on NBC.

About “Back to God” by Reba McEntire
The best known version of the song is McEntire’s from her 2017 album of Christian music. However, it was originally recorded by Randy Houser in 2008.

“I had to make it different because [Houser’s version] was so good,” McEntire told Rolling Stone. “So we got it on there, but it’s a great song! Everybody was saying, ‘Oh my gosh, we need this, we need this song right now.’ Well, we’ve always needed this song.”

She described it as a song about fellowship and God bringing people together.

“I think this album really helped… keep me busy on something that is good and positive and healing, which music is,” McEntire told The Oklahoman about the album. “These songs of faith and hope, that’s what you gotta have when you’re going through bad times — and good times. You gotta have faith and hope to carry you through each day.”

The lyrics to “Back to God” by Reba McEntire
    Oh have you looked around
    Have you heard the sound
    Of Mama’s cryin’
    Or do you turn away
    When you see the face
    Of the innocent dyin’
    In these darkest days
    Are you not afraid
    That it’s too late

You gotta get down on your knees, believe
Fold your hands and beg and plead
    Gotta keep on praying
You gotta cry, rain tears of pain
Pound the floor and scream His name
    ‘Cause we’re still worth saving
Can’t go on like this and live like this
    We can’t love like this
We gotta give this world back to God

    Have you lost a love?
Do you feel like givin’ up?
    Has your heart been broken?
    Are your kids okay?
    Will they come home safe?
    Do you lie there hoping?
You can make a wish, you can knock on wood
Oh it won’t do no good

You gotta get down on your knees, believe
Fold your hands and beg and plead
    Gotta keep on praying
You gotta cry, rain tears of pain
Pound the floor and scream His name
    ‘Cause we’re still worth saving
Can’t go on like this and live like this
    We can’t love like this
We gotta give this world back to God

You gotta get down on your knees, believe
Fold your hands and beg and plead
    Keep on praying
You gotta cry, rain tears of pain
Pound the floor and scream His name
    ‘Cause we’re still worth saving
Can’t go on like this and live like this
    We can’t love like this
    You can hope the best
    Make a wish
    The only answer is

We give this world back to God
    Oh, give it back

ITV has released first looks pics of the new period drama, which will air in November.
In the Harry Potter franchises, Lucius Malfoy, played by Jason, struck fear into the hearts of children across the globe with his signature sneer and vicious demeanour.
60-year-old Jason has boasted several brilliant roles throughout his acting career, from playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan to appearing in Black Hawk Down, The Death of Stalin, Nine Lives and Star Trek: Discovery.
The four-part, 60-minute episodes will follow the life of a young Archibald Alexander Leach as he grows up in extreme poverty in Bristol in the early 1900s and deals with losing his older brother before becoming one of Tinseltown’s best-known leading men.

Archibald, who changed his name Cary Grant after signing a contract with Paramount in 1931, starred in movies including An Affair To Remember, To Catch a Thief and Bringing Up Baby.
The superstar actor, who died in 1986, aged 82, had an elegant swagger as well as brilliant comedic skills that set him apart as a performer.
The series has been approved and made with the blessing of Grant’s daughter, Jennifer Grant, and his ex-wife, Dyan Cannon, who serve as executive producers.
BAFTA-winning Paul Andrew Williams directs this series and also serves as an executive producer, with BAFTA-winning Rebecca Hodgson as producer.

Award-winning writer Jeff Pope wrote the show, and Etta Pictures produced it.
Jeff’s ITV Studios label, BritBox International, is the co-production partner.
The notable cast that will star in Archie includes Laura Aikman, known for Not Going Out and Gavin and Stacey will play Cary’s formidable ex-wife, actress and filmmaker, Dyan Cannon.

Harriet Walter from Succession, Ted Lasso, and Killing Eve will play as Elsie Leach, Cary’s mother.

Dainton Anderson, Calam Lynch and Oaklee Pendergast will play younger versions of the Bringing Up Baby actor.

Harry Potter star reveals she has part of a cow’s heart attached to hers after battle with deadly condition

ACTOR Miriam Margoyles – known for her role as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter franchise – has revealed her heart is now part cow.

The 82-year old said her heart valve had been replaced by one taken for a cow after suffering a health scare.

Miriam appeared Jessie and Lennie Ware’s podcast Table Manners to discuss her love of radishes and coffee ice cream, her health and her new memoir.

“I’ve got a cow’s heart now,” Miriam revealed. “Well, not the whole heart. I’ve had an aortic valve replaced by a cow’s aortic valve.”

Jessie asked if that was “common”, to which the actor quipped: “I think it’s rather refined, actually.”

She added that she’d never heard of the operation being done before.

“But it saves you from having open heart surgery, which would be infinitely more invasive.”

Miriam explained how doctors had executed the surgery: “They make two little holes in your groin and then they shove this thing through. And I don’t know how they pull it up, but they sort of pull it up with strings into your heart.

“And then when it comes to the point when it’s in your heart, they pull a little string and it goes, pow!

“And lo and behold, your artery or your aortic valve is shoved unceremoniously to the side, and the cow’s aortic valve says, ‘Moo, I’m here.’ And it’s rather amazing.”

Cow valve replacement surgery has actually been around for some time.

Called a transcatheter aortic valve replacement, the procedure aims to improve the blood flow in your heart by replacing an aortic valve that doesn’t open fully, according to the British Heart Foundation.

The procedure involves putting a narrow flexible tube – called a catheter – into a blood vessel in your upper leg or chest and passing it towards your aortic valve in your heart, the charity explained.

The tube is used to fix a replacement valve over the top of your old one.

Discussing her operation with Vogue this past June, Miriam said she’d been rushed to hospital the month before and described her health issue as “unexpected”.

The actor added that her medical emergency had made her think about death: “When you’re young, you never think about death. You just think about your next f**k basically. I think about death a lot.”

Speaking to Jessie and Lennie, Miriam also shared that she would “probably” use a wheelchair soon due to her bad back, but had “just sort of accepted” that it was going to be necessary.

Asked by Jessie about how it feels to be 82, Miriam said: “It feels old, is how it feels.”

And being told she’s viewed as a “national treasure”, she described feeling like “a little old lady, trying to make a living, trying to keep going”.

She described becoming more “aware of her vulnerability” as she got older too.

“I have a bad back, I’m probably going to be in a wheelchair soon,” the actor stated.

“You have to come to terms with what life throws at you,” Miriam went on, saying she had “just sort of accepted” the eventually of not finding it easy to walk for much longer.

She added: “I’m very very surprised to have so much love friendship directed towards me.”

The actor released her new memoir Oh Miriam: Stories from an Extraordinary Life, last month
