“IT’S REALLY OVER”: DNA Confirms Heartbreak! It comes as The Sun uncovered new Maddie evidence in a bombshell documentary
MADELEINE McCann cops have sent samples from their crunch search in Portugal for testing, reports in Germany claim. The three-day search had widely been labeled a flop after police appeared to leave the site next to Praia da Luz empty-handed last week. 5 Madeleine vanished on May 3, 2007, while on holiday with her family in Praia da Luz in PortugalCredit: PA 5 Christian Brueckner is believed to be the lead suspect in the girl’s disappearanceCredit: Dan Charity 5 Officials recently went on a renewed search for DNA evidence in PortugalCredit:

Dan Charity But eagle-eyed police did find tiny fragments, which they are speculating could have links to Maddie after prime suspect Christian Brueckner, 38, wild camped at the site. The samples have now been sent to Germany for testing amid hopes they could finally reveal the forensic link cops are missing on the case. Cops are understood to have found clothes and animal bones during the extensive search through an area known as Brueckner’s “rat run”. Without evidence pinning it to the convicted German rapist, prosecutors risk not being able to get the arrest warrant they need to keep Brueckner behind bars. The claims were made in the Berlin Morning Post. A source said: “Several objects have apparently been discovered, which are now being examined in more detail by the police in the laboratory. “As Portuguese media report, clothing debris and bones were found, among other things.
“The investigators have not officially commented on whether the finds could have anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance but that is clearly their hope.” The search took place around an area of scrubland which is located close to where the British toddler was staying with her parents back in 2007. The little girl was aged just three when she vanished and has never been found since despite extensive searches. Madeleine McCann: the secret evidence on prime suspect Christian B | Sun Investigates Documentary German and Portuguese police used JCB-type machines and ground-penetrating radar but found “nothing of consequence”. It was reported that animal bones and adult clothing were the only things unearthed – but no traces could be linked to Maddie. This quickly dashed hopes of pinning Brueckner with fresh DNA evidence until the latest developments today. It comes as The Sun uncovered new Maddie evidence in a bombshell documentary. The world exclusive doc lifts the lid on gripping new information and reveals why Brueckner is the prime suspect.
Our compelling investigation unveils the horrors found at his abandoned factory lair – and his obsession with small children. Madeleine McCann: Inside the Secret Evidence is now available to watch online for free on our YouTube page. The dossier of overwhelming circumstantial evidence includes exclusive images of kids’ swimming costumes, a toddler bike and toys found at his property. We also reveal how cops found a mask, guns and child kidnap stories where Brueckner describes using kidnap chemical ether to take a mum and tot outside a preschool.
Our documentary on the police files represents the biggest leap forwards in understanding of the case since German police revealed Brueckner as a suspect in 2020. It contains an interview with Irish holiday rep Hazel Behan, 41, who Brueckner was cleared of raping in 2005 at trial in Germany last year. Hear from experts at The Sun and in Germany about the ongoing race against time to stop dangerous Brueckner being released in as little as three months.
Christian Brueckner refuses to answer police questions or provide an alibi, but has never been formally charged over the disappearance of murder of Madeleine McCann. He has insisted his innocence in letters while his lawyers continue to maintain he had nothing to do with the taking or killing of Maddie. 5 Maddie has now been missing for 18 yearsCredit: AFP 5 The search last week was focused on a handful of derelict buildingsCredit: Dan Charity

The lethal Christmas night of December 26, 1996, in Boulder, Colorado, left a six-year-old beauty pageant queen dead under chilling circumstances: strangled and silenced with duct tape. The discovery of a meticulously crafted ransom note—370 words, penned on household stationery—became the centerpiece of an investigation violent in its complexity and frustrating in its ambiguity. Unlike typical quick-hit demands of kidnappers, this note resembled a theatrical script, demanding an exact ransom of $118,000, a suspiciously precise amount mirroring John Ramsey’s Christmas bonus.

The atmosphere in Parliament was electric as Lee Anderson launched his challenge, directly questioning Starmer’s claims about deporting 24,000 individuals since coming into power without providing any details. Starmer, typically steady, appeared visibly unsettled, caught off guard by the intensity and precision of Anderson’s accusations. This moment of palpable tension stunned the chamber and fueled a fiery back-and-forth that sent shockwaves beyond Westminster walls.

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the glittering world of ballroom dancing, the BBC has officially announced Rylan Clark as the new host of *Strictly Come Dancing*, stepping into the formidable shoes left vacant by long-time presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The revelation, dropped like a bombshell during a prime-time special on November 26, 2025, confirms what insiders have been whispering for weeks: the charismatic former *X Factor* star and beloved radio personality will lead the show’s 2026 series. But the real jaw-dropper? His co-host is none other than Emma Willis, the no-nonsense presenter known for her work on *Big Brother* and *The Voice UK*—a choice that has left fans reeling, divided, and utterly surprised.

Another of his sketches is said to show “a child being raped”, revealed the RTL article. Pictures showed inside the sinister old box factory where B kept his sick stash of sketches, notes and other disturbing memorabilia.
The site, in former East Germany, was bought by Christian B for €36,000 at auction a couple of years after Maddie vanished. It was also there that police found more than 8,000 sickening photos and videos of sexual abuse he had hidden in a Lidl bag under the body of Christian B’s buried dead dog Charlie.
Throughout the building were also large circular symbols in an electric orange colour on the floor at the threshold of each section, probably sprayed by police as they finished inspecting a room.
And scrawled on a wall in red were the words, “Mein freundin hat mich beloneen betrogen zum hass eerzogem”, meaning: “My girlfriend lied to me, cheated on me and raised me to hate.” The handwriting was said to be very similar to Christian B’s but is not known he was the author. Wolters, who will begin his prosecution of B over five other sex crimes this month in Braunschweig said: “The investigation into the Maddie case is ongoing and is also independent of the outcome of the upcoming trial.” He added that the results of the reservoir search on the Algarve last summer has not yet been completed. It came after police found a kind of shrine at the Arade reservoir just a few months after Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. The Olive Press revealed that B spent “considerable time” at the reservoir and even set up a camp there. A sinister stone circle was erected at the waters edge, believed to have been by B. And a crucial witness in a child rape case against Christian B will once again testify against him in court. Christian B’s lawyer claimed former pal-turned-police informer Helge B – whose testimony once helped put him away for seven years – was lying about evidence.
